It's extremely tight at the top! 5 points separate Dan and Phil. Didds and Chris have also swapped places with Stretch making a last ditch attempt to get in there aswell.

Also, even if the 3rd place play-off is pointless, its certainly not for this! (See what i did there [emoji3])

Final Standings!

Dan takes the win with an impressive flourish of points in the final 2 games. Phil came a valiant 2nd with Chris holding off Didds to take 3rd spot. Tom's late resurgence wasn't enough to push higher.

I'll reach out to the top 3 over the next few days to sort prizes 😆

Hope this was enjoyable for all? Want to find a better way of doing it next time with a 3rd party app as the spreadsheet way was time consuming for me and not ideal to review for you guys but at least we did it and had a good laugh with alot of entries.

Hey bud thanks for running this. Only idea I can think of to reduce the admin burden on yourself would be to use the proper site (eg like the fantasy premier league one) as you can set up leagues and that tracks the scores of course. However what I did like about your one is that you could just leave it and not have to worry about transfers etc so there was a bit of tactics in picking players you thought would go far in the tourney. The “downside” of the proper site is that some people will regularly check it and make transfers etc and some will Just forget and or leave it, so you’d maybe have to set a gentlemen’s agreement and trust that no one can make any transfers?

No worries mate. The only reason why I did the spreadsheet for this one was because there was literally no World Cup 3rd party site or app available for free that we could use. Equally, the spreadsheet core forumlas, etc was already set up from a friend of mine at work so wasn't too hard to sort in the end. Just needed to take pics on excel, send them to my email, then convert them so our FG App would recognise them and hey presto! A bit of a faff but i'm glad everyone enjoyed it!!

Nope. That one had about 8 teams in it and 14 players when it went live so couldn't use it (@tronic44 and I checked it). Not to worry buddy, believe me when I say i'd have took a free over what I did any day!
