Tomb raider remastered
GazzaGarratt and 3 others reacted to J4MES OX4D for a topic
Made a thread about this last year but not much new information has come to light since. It's nice that Embracer have decided not to hold all their IP's they bought off Square Enix under ransom but the interest in this seems quite dry and games like Uncharted have far surpassed in narrative and mechanics. You can also buy the original Tomb Raider trilogy in the Steam sales for ยฃ2.49 so this will probably be a hard sell and lots of users already emulate these via Duckstation. It really depends on how well the games are modernised without losing the original feel but I dunno if the OG mechanics will translate well.4 points -
Tomb raider remastered
slamminbones and 3 others reacted to GazzaGarratt for a topic
I'm personally looking to try and get my PS1 ready to be able to play the original ones again at some point over weekends. They were stellar games back in the day @slamminbones, I agree. For me it was actually the puzzles and abit of the story that sucked me in. I remember once as a teenager being stuck on Tomb Raider 3 round my Nan and Grandads house and all of a sudden I had my Dad, Grandad and Uncle trying to help me get past this certain bit to know where to go. Ahh the days before YouTube was a thing ๐ @WelchyTV, I think it is hard to like remasters if you never grew up with them as I feel like they are always targeted at the crowd that played them before. If you like puzzle type games and work past the graphics (because obviously it won't look and feel the latest gen), then I'd say its a cheap pick up to say the least. Also depends how much you enjoy playing those older games too. I think you have to have a certain brain now to get past the graphical side as lots of younger games switch off if it looks old, which you would expect some of this to be that way.4 points -

I personally donโt have any nostalgia for the Tomb Raider games as I never played them when I was younger. However I know they are beloved games and probably ones I should at least try! I will wait and see what the reaction is when they release, we all remember the poor launch of the GTA remasters!4 points -

On February 14th the first 3 games are coming out for ps4 and ps5 the price I think is pretty reasonable at 24.99. I'm pretty hyped mainly for the 2nd game. There's not many pictures and only a short clip so not much to go on. Anyone else picking these up.3 points -

Documentary suggestions
GazzaGarratt reacted to Luseth for a topic
So I have gotten into putting a documentary on whilst working at the moment, typically around topics I have an interest in, the planet, climate change, science and tech. So I just thought I would see if anyone here watches any and even more specifically if anyone has any gaming related one's that they would recommend?1 point -

Cyberpunk - PS5 upgrade patch

This game is brilliant now. I've finished it a couple of times with different builds. I had a Netrunner build with pistols as backup. Using the Contagion quick hack you can kill a load of enemies before they even know you're there.1 point -

Cyberpunk - PS5 upgrade patch
Riff Machine reacted to Luseth for a topic
So I want to get on with my backlog of games this year with the intention to pick some platinums up in them, my current choice is Cyberpunk, I had picked it up before and played part of the way through only to get sidetracked by new titles. So now with the plan for this year to avoid buying games brand new and waiting for inevitable price drops it might mean I am less likely to get sidetracked for the next month or so. So I may take a half step back from multiplayer (mainly COD) and crack on with this, so far it has been good fun and the PS5 enhancement has been great, you really feel the guns with the Haptic triggers and it really looks lovely, I'm having plenty of fun with this though I probably need to check for any missable trophies before I get too far into the game. Anyway, as I go through my backlog I will post on here a bit more to see if others have played them and how they got on with them, never know it might result in others going back.1 point -

Ok so the video is practically ready to go. I will be uploading it to YouTube and to this website. I just wanted to check that it is ok for me to use the Forever Gaming Logo on the Thumbnail for the video? I assume it would be but thought itโs better to double check! If someone can let me know that would be great and il have the video uploaded soon!1 point -

Equaliser 3. I enjoyed it, always have these type of films with Denzel. Its not all about the action in how I enjoy his role, its his methodologies and process in how you see his subtle looks and moves towards things. A decent alternative to Taken series with Liam Neeson imo.1 point -

Welcome to FG @Aztec2Four , hope you enjoy your stay at FG! Its a place where we do get to know each other more through gaming and other stuff we try and organise - never feel pressured to open up if you don't want to mate, you'll see its been helpful over the years for many of us, including myself. I should start making a grid of who people support to see where they're all growing from! ๐ We used to play R6 Siege a hell of a lot on PS4 days but we've dropped off that somewhat given how much the game develops and you really have to keep playing a game like that weekly to keep in touch of all the little pixel points on the map. We'll have to get your Activision ID to send friend requests as most of us all sit on PS5 playing CoD these days but now crossplay is becoming easier day by day, we could hopefully jump in together at some point soon...we have the lolz, but we still try and go to win every game, ironically its why we speak about W/L rather than K/D these days as we get older! Get involved where you can, looking forward to seeing you around FG!1 point -

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Am very comfortable with a little banter and shit housery (isn't that just a staple of British humour?). I've got a link to my steam ID on my profile as that's mostly where I play if anybo Also, I'm an Arsenal fan so I'm expecting a little roasting. COYG!1 point -

Had a film recommended to me and eventually decided to watch it last week, not the usual crappy superhero/ comic book film and absolutely no identity politics thankfully...what it was, was an original in everyway war film.. Sisu Let's be honest it's really violent and there's plenty of gore, the story isn't bad but the film gets more far fetched as it goes on however it was thoroughly entertaining and I just had to keep watching.1 point -

Well reluctantly watched expendables 4 last night and have to agree with the reviews I watched it is trash, no wonder Stallone seems to not to have wanted to be involved. So does anyone seriously believe Megan Fox would be the leader ๐คฃ also the way the film was produced you could pretty much see everything was filmed on a stage or it just looked fake as fuck. Hopefully this series is now finished because it definitely to a massive drop in quality.1 point -

It was excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Most of the woke bollocks just flew over my head, I've become so numb to that shite that my brain literally doesn't even acknowledge it anymore. Gosling stole the show, his performance completely changed my opinion of him. And Margot Robbie in sexy outfits, what more could a man want?1 point -

Finally saw dead reckoning part 1 and if I'm honest I was a little disappointed but not sure why? Now don't get me wrong the film wasn't bad but maybe we've just seen it all before๐คท. Still credit where it's due Cruise I'd say is the top action star at the moment imo and when Bond rises from the grave has some serious steps to get anywhere close.1 point -

We watched Barbie the other week. I thought it would be funnier than expected, but it wasn't. More thought provoking which I felt wasn't clear from all the headlines beforehand. Having said that, Ryan Gosling as Ken was class, he played it brilliantly. Will Ferrell always is a joy to see with his cameos in films. I can't seem to categorise into one single genre either. Just really stands out on its own with music, plot, characters, twists, etc.1 point -

Went to see it last week and agree it's a great film, it's long but I never felt the length was an issue. Jumping around the timeline was annoying a little and I would have liked to see a little more around the Manhatten project timeline but I'll definitely watch it again when it's available on TV.1 point -

Literally just watched Oppenheimer and it was bloody good. Well directed, great story (not overly bogged down with quantum physics language) and brilliant cast with Cillian Murphy knocking it out the park with a lot of good supporting appearances from familiar Christopher Nolan actors (interesting to see how young people will react to RDJ not being Tony Stark in a major movie). Definitely recommend.1 point -

It's very early in the game, once you get the mission to steal the shard, do that and its conclusion involves meeting Keanu for the first time, without giving too much away. If you've not tried the ps5 upgrade, you're missing a treat ๐1 point -

How far in is this? I struggled to get past the basic cover and shoot tutorials and lost my way on the first mission because it felt so long to get into the meaty stuff. If i'm not far aware I'd be inclined to boot it up again.1 point
