The FOMO was annoying and the sunsetting with promises to never bring the weapons back....only to bring them back and we all lost our god rolls. I do miss the gameplay every once in a while, it was great.

What a fuckin dumbass. I've spent the last few nights sucking at ship battles, and wondering why I couldn't upgrade anything on my Shipwright's workbench. Turns out you have to remove the stuff from the ship and then upgrade it at the workbench. Yanno those warnings on shampoo bottles? Yeah, me. All me.

For the ship combat, you get more stuff from boarding, I’d say it’s mostly worth boarding the haulers/transports, there is a counter in the top right of your screen during the boarding process which tells you how many enemies you/your crew has to kill. Upgrading your boarding crew helps with this a lot. I also agree the xp gain is slow, I do wish you would get it from combat, farming and building as well but I can see how they have intentionally slowed it down to match your exploration which makes sense, it’s just annoying 😂

Out next year. If it's anything like the last two expansions then we are in for a real treat. Bit late in the day but should be a fantastic conclusion before The Witcher 4 is out.

Disappointing but hardly surprising and I'm actually shocked it didn't end sooner. Not sure why Sony were beating a dead horse for so long and I actually fear for the entire Destiny future with so much damage done to the brand in recent years. The first and biggest mistake Bungie made was going independent. They were cocky little shitbags and got way too big for their boots leading up to, and after their departure from Activision. They wanted to go alone but they could not handle the tremendous operating costs required to sustain the live service and future content, not to mention the wage bill. 3 years they lasted before they went back to square one with Sony who completely overpaid for their acquisition. Sony then let them get on with it which was a huge mistake because they got way too comfortable unlike the pressure they were under at Activision to deliver worthwhile content and on time. Sony were ultimately losing about £50m a month even when new content dropped. This was supposed to be a 10 year project with a projected 3 games but it was almost dead in the water after half that. They should've moved to Destiny 3 development before the pandemic rather than string Destiny 2 out and I think Activision would've funded it had Bungie not been so arrogant and deluded of their previous success which was somewhat fortunate despite making two really polished and accessible titles. Marathon is pretty much dead in the water a couple of months after release and I don't know what's going to happen to the staff that are left. This is another almighty calamity from Sony that will be a costly as many of their other blunders in recent times. They just love burning 9-figures on very preventable things. I really enjoyed returning to Destiny 2 last year when I picked up a lot of legacy content for about £8. I managed to get an extra 50 hours out of it in that time which was one hell of a return especially as the content would've cost close to £100 new. I tried the new Edge of Fate expansion which was so bad, I quit the game for good and the next one wasn't much better from what I heard. Many of the key staff have long gone and the mismanagement, budgeting and general negative cloud has culminated into a disappointing conclusion. Cannot believe how badly this entire brand has been fumbled over the years but it all started with Bungie being delusional and taking everything for granted. Activision may be scumbags but when you are getting hundreds of millions thrown at you and living in comfort in what is an industry in turmoil, you shouldn't upset the applecart.

I was shocked at the speed of it, even considering the $750 Million dollar loss that Sony took in Q2 and Q3. That being said, the game has been dead for a long time. The higher ups just couldn't help themselves and kept humping that corpse into dust

Smart move from Microsoft to fool consumers once more. Even though the pass is $7 cheaper now, it's still $7 more expensive than it was several months prior. Removing Call of Duty will see them getting paid massively at retail once again, so any freeloaders who choose not to renew the pass even at the cheaper rate, Microsoft will still rake the money in from unit sales of the game which will comfortably exceed any lost revenue at the original pass increase rate. Arguably $23 a month without a flagship title like Call of Duty is an outrageous rip-off in itself. The only consolation is that the games on the pass, particularly the indie games may actually get to make a better share of income without COD absorbing it all. Some indie titles were probably lucky to walk away with 30 cents an install on products that would cost £20 at retail.

Yeah i can't see myself going back. If they ever do a Fallout 3, New Vegas remaster, or Elder Scrolls 6 (won't hold my breath) I'll just buy the games themselves.

Seems decent enough, like a cross between Hitman and Uncharted. I wouldn't pay 60/70 quid for it, it's less than 20 hours long, but in a sale in a year or two I might be tempted.

Microsoft Cuts Price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate WWW.IGN.COM Microsoft has dropped the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from $29.99 per month to $22.99 per month, while PC Game Pass is being reduced from $16.49 per month to $13.99 per month. Both changes... They added COD to Game Pass with BO6 but then had to increase the price to cover lost sales. Seems that they then lost subscribers due to the ridiculous price increase. So now they're lowering the cost and removing COD. What a complete fuck up by everybody involved 🤣

Crysis 3 (and 2 for that matter) are on another level, compared to the first one... at least as far as I'm concerned, so I might give the remaster a go. Tempest Rising is kind of a modern Red Alert but no, not personally tried it and probably won't, so still available. I'll send you the Steam code for Shin Megami Tensei V via WhatsApp, as FG messaging seems to be broken (FYI @GazzaGarratt) and won't let me enter any text ?!

Just saw that it's £790 for a PS5 Pro from Argos. Absolutely disgusting really. I could probably sell my old PS5 standard for more than I paid for it back in 2021. This is also the end of the generation and the prices are still going up. Doesn't make sense. These machines shouldn't cost more than £350 for what's under the hood and how powerful they are.

I would also again highly recommend wveryone to buy the keelhold hull in tortuga, I forget from which faction vendor, but it’s OP as hell as it allows you to keep repairing even if you keep getting hit

Two things worth mentioning. There are very limited ways of earning XP, basically quests and POIs / camps. On the map page, at the bottom right you can see how many POIs you've completed on each biome so you can max them out and get all that sweet sweet xp. The other one, and this is a big one, is to always have some building mats on you. Boars don't seem to break through walls, so when facing multiple, you can box some of them in and face one at a time. This trivialized a fight I had to do many times over. Question - ship combat - do you always sink the other vessels, or also board them and wreck them? I've only tried boarding two vessels. One from my tiny little dinkyboat, and the other was the first ship for the quest. On both occasions I was fighting a seemingly endless supply of dudes and eventually gave up. Is there a trick to this or just keep killing them until they stop?

You can build on as many islands as you want and have multiple bases. But, you can only place down 10 fast travel points (not counting the ones that the game just unlocks for you in important locations) so just keep that in mind. In my solo world I’m keeping my original base for now, I might tear it down and move it later, I dunno. On the FG server we have starter bases set up but have moved most workbenches and resources down to the FG Cove where we (mainly Carl, La and John) are building something on a much bigger scale. (I just farm resources like a madman 😂)

It might have went better for them if the game was anygood. I got the game pass, tried cod for a month/maybe two. it was garbage so I cancelled the game pass. You can get a lot of the same games on steam cheaper than the cost of game pass so it makes not sense.

Yup, someone there thought that COD was the best game in the world and everyone wants to play it so from their perspective it made sense. Ultimately they were expecting everyone on the subscription to pay for the game that probably half of the people subbing wanted essentially subsidising those people. Absolute madness, in fact the initial outcry should really have been the wake up call they needed, instead they have persisted for a few months now and they won't suddenly get those subscribers back now. Many of them will feel a little burnt and will be hesitant about committing to the service again. I had the subscription for my handheld and ended up cancelling it and unlikely will pick it up again soon now unless some special games come to the service.

I feel like the PS5 has never really got into its stride, its just a slightly faster PS4 as far as I'm concerned...with the PS5 Pro being more in line of what it should have been...and with talk that to really be able to enjoy the next GTA its best to have a Pro, which is currently around £700 🙈 and they're already talking about PS6 being on the horizon 🙃

A brand-new The Lord of the Rings PS5 game is in development as per reports. The project has been in the works for some time and may be officially announced this year. It’s said to be partially funded by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. Described as a third-person action title meant to “compete with Hogwarts Legacy”.
