techno reacted to Diddums in Black Ops 6
Fuck, I completely forgot I got hammered last night and deleted COD and installed Xdefiant.
Will need to give it a go tho, Gary's pretty convinced.

Surprised not to see a thread about this one. Went to see it tonight courtesy of a good friend, and it is hands down the best Deadpool film yet. Some of the surprises are absolutely fantastic. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't see this one on the big screen.
9/10 for me.

Just following this up @GazzaGarratt as I am finding it more often than not that it takes far too long to load the site now which is leading me to just not use the website now and go and spend the time I would have done on here on other forums etc.

techno got a reaction from GazzaGarratt in The Best Sporting Spectacle You Have Seen
A few things stand out.
Football back when it was good😉 David Platt against Belgium in the 118th minute in 1990.
Dennis Taylor beating Steve Davis in the 85 world snooker final, staying up to see the conclusion on the last black.
More recently it has to be bike racing ,Rossi's 100th win at Assen
But the one that will always stand out is being in the stand at Siberia at Phillip island, I never thought I'd get to Australia so to be there back in 2016 two months after my grandad had passed away and actually seeing a British winner too in Cal Crutchlow what a great memory.

I'm finally done with this game. It's probably the longest I've played one of the new CODs for. After jumping on and playing Afghan for the millionth time I realised I just can't be bothered with this game any more. I definitely don't want to play any of the OG MW2 maps again. I'm absolutely sick to death of them.

techno reacted to GazzaGarratt in The Final Shape - Destiny 2 Gameplay Reveal
Its finally coming....soon. Never thought it would be 10 whole years of Destiny and we'd get some form of a conclusion to the games story and activities we've played for so long.
Trailer above shows we finally have a new 5th enemy race, as rumoured at the start of Destiny that we'd have 5 total races. They are also combining Light and Dark subclasses to create a new subclass, Prismatic. They clearly are blowing all the doors off what's possible now in Destiny and open admit they want to break certain floors and ceilings in the game. If the story can be anywhere near as good as Witch Queen, then we'll be in for a treat. I can't see any reason why it won't be. I'm intrigued to see what else they change with it. Possibly a few months of this before an overhaul and into a Destiny 3??? I'll keep that to another thread but for now, Final Shape seems to be finally giving us that wow factor we've missed for so so long.
As for me, its been a long break for Destiny - nearly 18 months it feels like. I've been cautious to get back into it before now because it never felt any different. Regardless of how this lands, I think its probably a perfect time for most FGers, old returning Destiny folk or ones that never tried it, to into this DLC. To finish off a story that's been a huge part of our lives, as well as FG, seems fitting to try and get as many on it as possible.
Set at £40 to be released 6th June, which I think is reasonable. With the new Into The Light refresh they are having right now for a few months, this should also leave us with plenty of activities to experience together. No boring grinding btw, just finding nights where we can hook up and help each other accomplish cool, awesome missions, strikes, dungeons, raids, etc.
Anyone else have thoughts on this gameplay?

They've spent the last decade covering up negatives attributed to active players and total unit sales and as they've got this down to a tee, I can't see them needing to do it again. I reckon they (Microsoft) are simply willing to take a monumental financial hit at launch in a bid to prop up game pass figures and then bleed what players are left even harder down the line to recoup any lost revenue. No matter how many more sign up to the pass just for this game, it wouldn't come anywhere close to had those prospective players bought it outright. They can also play the 'we have 25m players' card even thought they just count people who try the game once and aren't considered active players.
I can see it going the same way as Starfield especially in terms in it failing to grow the pass and instead having existing pass holders getting a free ride. Bethesda thought they could get 100m users on board across 1bn devices and in the end they got about 10m players and new game pass subscriptions practically flatlined. Microsoft will need about 220m game pass subscribers every time they plug an in-house AAA title yet I don't think they've reached 40m yet and like the Epic Game Store, it ain't growing.
Black Ops 6 is more a Gulf War game so it may have more modern elements and there's rumoured to be a mission surrounding 9/11 so the early 90's to 00's could very well be the setting.

Cod will never return to it's glory years things have moved on unfortunately, I'd be surprised if it's anything but another reskin of what we've had over the last couple of years, same engine, seasons, monetisation etc.

MW recent CoDs have been some of the better ones in the franchise so I hope they can bring this back and make it worthwhile. I've not seen anything on this one though to tempt me like MW2 and MW3 did.

Insane that they are still releasing old gen versions. The franchise just keeps on holding itself back.

techno reacted to GazzaGarratt in Fallout - TV Series
That Reaper just sounds like he'd find a problem in waking up in the morning and checking that he'd won the lottery. Like you say Gaz, its a TV show and the way that Reaper and MauLer pick the absolute fine detail out to the n'th degree is mindblowing. I do agree generally speaking that there were moments where it felt slightly overly whacky but the arguments are basically saying it should follow the game but not follow the game when it needs to be more realistic.
You can't take a Fallout world seriously and I got that vibe from the first parts of the first episode. Sometimes if it was set up incorrectly you can lose yourself in what feeling you are supposed to feel like.
Feel like those two need a Frankie Says Relax t-shirt 🤣

Just finished it tonight and have to say even though for much of the series I had no clue what was going on I enjoyed it overall. I thought it started well went off the rails in the middle a little but the series was rounded off nicely.
Definitely made a nice change to see something different as I've watched some crap lately *Gray*.
I will leave this here though, it's quite long but an interesting discussion, maybe not knowing much about the lore helped?
Now I get some of the arguments against it but at the end of the day it's TV and tbh all TV suffers in a similar way imo.

Gory, brutal and funny definitely gonna check it out. Also hearing that you don't need to have played the games to enjoy it also helps.

Tbh since getting interstellar I found I've little to no reason to turn the game on, there maybe some interest in any fg Friday that might occur however it's not just cod where gaming is concerned at the moment which might be down to the fact the winter should be over.
