Alright you lot. I have been talking with an old friend in Gazza and we've both decided it'd be good for me to return. I was once a part of the old MW2 forums way back when under the handle of The Reverend. A lot has changed since then. I'm a competitive call or duty player (search and destroy is my bread and butter) but I also scrim hardpoints and whatever the 3rd comp game mode will be this year. I'm an oldhead unfortunately at 32 but I like to think I can keep up with the young guns haha. My life has recently been turned upside down with suffering 4 heart attacks! 1 which nearly took my life. But I'm fighting back in my recovery and gaming is an outlet for me to keep focused and positive. So I'd like to say hello to the old frens and henlo to the potential new ones. Peace and love x

I think we should build our own city or town, different buildings, pubs, cinemas, car parks etc. You could have dave underground tube idea under it. I’ve never seen it done before, it’ll take a while. Or it could also be done based on biome. If you do it in the desert zone then it could be a Wild West village etc

Got to think the Titans and Green Bay have such an advantage with a bye next week and home field advantage throughout that they will make the superbowl. Whilst i was hopefully for Kansas they seem to have stuttered a bit (from the exact moment i put a bet on them to win the Superbowl!). Derrick Henry's return is a big plus for the titans.

Started building a little test facility last night, didn't have long though so will have to carry on next time I'm on. Also discovered that the robotic turret (the one that doesn't need power) isn't very good, it does very little damage, runs out of ammo far too quickly, the range is quite short and it stops working as soon as I move a few blocks away from it. It did however give XP to me and anyone around me, so there's that. I will say however that as each player is limited to one of these things (two with skill points), a few of them might actually help a bit. @TurboR56Mini managed to track down a Grandpa's Fergit'n Elixir for me which will come in handy, so I can wipe all my skill points and make a build more orientated to robotics and electrics. Last night's horde night just proved to me that we're getting to the point of needing more than just guns, as it was absolutely mental.

Almost like no one here has played Valheim! We built a town there and it's neat. I'm down as long as other are. The building mechanics are nowhere near as good as Valheim so it will take longer but that's usually ok.

Yeah man. Would be crazy upset. Big Ben making the playoffs in his final season is a great story but beating the #2 cheifs and advancing is just icing on the cake. I was at the Steelers final home game and I can’t remember a more awesome exit for a player. Everyone stayed for probably 20 mins or so just cheering him on.

So whilst I'm definitely working honest guv, I'm doing a bit of research and am getting conflicting results. The problem I'm facing is XP and whether we get XP or not from traps and whatnot. From my limited research, there are the auto-thwackers which will punch zeds in the gut. These, when strategically positioned, can smack a zed off a wall so it takes fall damage. It is my understanding that this counts as a player kill so the XP should still count, but I need to be sure. The other thing is that traps and whatnot don't award XP when they kill zeds, however with perks this can be brought up to 50% of the normal player XP. What I don't know is whether that will then share with everyone around me, or whether everyone else needs the perks too. I'm hoping to hop on this evening to start testing, I'll likely build a little structure somewhere for testing and might rope one or two of you in to see if you get XP. If nobody gets XP in any of these scenarios, then I'll have to look at killing corridors with electric fence poles to zap the zeds and then we can kill them when they're stunned. Plans are being formed, just need to sort out a few things before smashing it all together.

Can't seem to do this in Activision's web site so I've made some space and I'm downloading the CoD:WW2 update. Something I swore I'd never do cuz it forces you to install warzone which I don't want. Looks like it might take a while as Destiny is updating as well. I'll try my best

@Plumbers Crack You might be able to do it via Activision's website without even loading a COD or redownloading anything. We can start a new one, but we have one in place and we are level 4 and have some clan boarders unlocked. We also boast a member list of 33. Mostly from MW I'm thinking.

@Diddums @techno I personally think now we're in the best space we've ever been to actively complete raids each week and have enough openings and opportunity for people that play 24/7 to the people that want to have fun just experiencing and get the kick out of completing just one raid. We're lucky to have the likes of @Baabcat , @RenFengge and @Leeesh13 who have picked up creating multiple events after i've continued to do it for so long that if people know where to look and hopefully speak up, then they'll always be an option for anyone, regardless of skill level. Also, I hope that you both do more raids over coming weeks, other FGers that are a little more silent/shy on this matter will definitely start to speak up a bit more and try and get themselves on one. You'll give them the initial confidence they need. 👊👍 Bringing it back to this thread, I think its perfectly okay that we have experienced people and new people that want to challenge themselves a little more and what we'll do here is balance out still mostly doing 6-man raids but making sure there's pockets of time for this stuff too.

All they had to do waa beat the Jags 😂 good ol' Carson Wentz 😂😂 So now the regular season is pretty much done (and i haven't got the Falcons to follow) what is everyones predictions for the playoffs? I'm still thinking as much as I would like to see the Bills face the Packers at the Superbowl i think it will be the Chiefs. It's doubtful nut I wouldn't mind seeing Big Ben and the Steelers go all the way if this is his last season. I think as an outside bet i'd go for a Bengals-Cardinals superbowl

So, once @Diddums has smashed my back door in, we should think to the future. My main goal so far been to establish a main base with moat full of killing machines, and looks like we're on the final straight. Once the base is finished, what then? Time to roam the map? Expeditions to other biomes? Here's my suggestion 1. Everyone makes a little base of their own. One day a month we turn on PVP and for one purge day we run riot trying to kill each other. Then afterwards help each other repair our damaged bases. Suggestion 2 Build the biggest tallest base the world of 7 days has ever seen. But maybe do some map exploration before turning to this. Other ideas welcome 😁

They do tbh - Master difficulty exists for VoG and they have said they are adding future Master difficulties to them. Some people want a different challenge to pick up numerous roles in a smaller team issall. The Master difficulties give out subtely better loot e.g. Timelost versions of the weapons which give extra mod/perks. Not sure why we don't get many people trying them? I'd definitely be up for trying Master versions of the raids too btw alongside these!

Loving the game, been a while since I enjoyed playing something this much. I'll be starting to tinker with robotics a bit, I've already made 38 blade traps which can be installed in the new base, but before that, I'll be using a few to create a small horde base so I can experiment a bit and learn the finer details of them. As it'll take an absolute metric fucktonne of resources to create all the traps needed for the main base, I need to be absolutely 100% sure that when I put them down, they're down for good. So I'm going to make a small little base elsewhere where I can fuck around a bit, and once I'm confident that I've come up with a good, reliable and effective solution for the main base, I'm going to go ham and absolutely surround the place with traps. I also moved the wood farm as it was in a bit of a shit spot s every time someone went past it they'd drop to single digit FPS. The new location is where I'm standing here: There are about 800 trees currently planted there so if anyone needs wood, go for it. Keep in mind however that my skill points are all maxed out for efficient wood harvesting so if you think we're gonna need wood soon, let me know and I'll go harvesting next time I'm on, or grab some yourself, up to you. On another note, @tronic44 has made me a server admin so if the server gets a bit laggy or buggy or whatever, let me know and I can restart it. I also made some good progress with the courthouse, however I think @TurboR56Mini need to give it a woman's touch as it just looks a bit concrete atm. Maybe I'll use it as an experimental building for the traps, not sure yet. That's all folks, thanks for the fun so far, it's been immense. Can't wait to get back on ❤️

We need nitrate to make more pew pew (we have ZERO) and only a few thousand gunpowder left. This is due to making a metric fuck ton of ammo this weekend. We have thousands of rounds now but it's never enough. I moved the ammo crates to where the plants were and vise versa (we don't need two plant boxes but do need 2 ammo). You will see the crates for ammo marked on the left side of the wall. Lastly, both the in and the out doors are automated now with their own mech rooms! The doors run off battery and there is a charging station to the right (looking out) side of the entry. You can charge six batteries like the first base can for ease of swapping out the door bats. need a few more level 6 to have full stacks in each. I've also made some additional generator banks as I'm sure the traps will need a good amount of juice. They are in the box. Enjoy!

Perhaps this is a another form of protection for the horde base without having to have hundreds of spike traps...the last part of the video is quite a vivid demonstration

I didn't re-watch the films and I've found it really wasn't necessary as said the flash backs work. I'm half way through this last season and I've found it a little bit lacking tbh compared to previous series, it's hard to explain without spoilers hopefully it picks up and leaves enough at the end to want more because it is cleverly done.

well as of the send of this season the series has referenced all the movies except the one with hilary swank and the reboot, although i wouldn't find it impossible if they brought hilary back, still many events that are referenced or characters have flashbacks from the movies so we know/remember who is who and what they did

The only thing holding me back is some behinds the scenes shenanigans around the reason its now live and also their publisher that worries me a little...but yeah I agree @GazzaGarratt you would want a few of us getting it and doing it properly.

Battlefield 2042 is not battlefield it's a cash cow. No amount of "tweaking" will fix the glaring omissions from what made battlefield so good and so different. If what you see and read about player retention is true then that is all you need to know. Let's be honest there are people out there that enjoying playing with turds😉
