Ants Big Charity Walk

Evening peeps. So after a 3 year break I have decided it’s time for another charity walk. in an effort to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society on Saturday 11th September 2021 I will be walking from my home in Coventry to the Solutions Diverse head office in Kirkby Mallory via Hinckley, and back again via Nuneaton, totalling 36 miles, which should take roughly 12 hours. I am raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society as it is something that has affected my life as my Grandad suffered from it in his final years, and it is something that continues to affect countless people. I have created a Just  Giving page which is below and any and all donations are massively appreciated.

So far, with the help of @GazzaGarratt @jordie1892  and @G_dub52  i have hit £165 already! With a few weeks still to go it would be amazing to hit my target of £500. It's for the Alzheimers Society which is an amazing cause. Every little counts towards the cause 🙂

That's a great cause so added a small donation, good luck, my friend's wife  died after getting early onset Alzheimer's, it was a terrible thing to see.

@techno  thank you so much for the donation. Really sorry to hear about your friend's wife. It really is horrible to see, the person just becomes a shell of who they used to be and it is so heartbreaking when they can't even remember their own family

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS, CHILDREN OF AAAAALL AGES - WE'VE DONE IT!! (Well, the easy part anyway 😂) That's right, tomorrow is the big walk and with the help of so many people that have donated, i have not only passed my £500 donation target, but with justgiving and cash donations i am currently at £612!! 14 hours and 37 miles later and i did it!!

 

So it took a bit longer than anticipated due to losing my way a bit early in the day but got there in the end. Thank you to all the FGers who have shown their support 😊 Aching like a bitch today but it is totally worth it for such a worthy cause

One final update on the big charity walk 😊 After getting in all cash donations I am proud to say that i destroyed my target of £500 and raised a total of £732 for the Alzheimers Society. Thank you for all your support with doing this, the 14 hours and 37 miles were totally worth it for this truly worthy cause 😊😊😊
