    Clan Rivals

Genuinely......I dunno mate 🤷‍♂️ It all starts with games. And then ideas to be able to do mini internal fun tourneys or game nights. We've done that with FIFA not long ago and I tried to get it going on other stuff that would've played to this but in all honesty, no one can be arsed of late lol. What would you do with the clans outside just a few game nights? I'd like to think we're old enough and past it to be really bothered about internal clan disagreements that can easily happen over time....but then again, this is games and the history of FG before it was FG was alot of that! Probably why we're still FG after all this time 🤣❤️ If its life you want to bring back into games, suggest some games and mini tourneys or game nights we can get behind over a period of time. We have loads we can do, for instance Gran Turismo was on a roll...but like any game, it needs people to organise, gather the troops and then people need to set up events t get their arses online 👊 I'd be up for a random old retro clan catch up one night on something, although i'd be FG cos I was never in any of the others many many years ago.

  3. Not Super Mario Kart, philly?!! Unless that wasn't 90's I guess? Absolutely incredible game. I spent ages even just on the training missions 😄 The dreamcast version of this was incredible!!! The world map on how they created the campaign was just not like any other fighting game. Another fantastic concept that made a game standout on its own. Just couldn't get into these unfortunately! Although @Findmartin was hooked on these if i remember rightly. A game before this was Pandemonium that I really enjoyed that was even more linear than Crash was. Snap 😄 I would've said Zelda on the GameBoy but unfortunately I was so shit at the game, I couldn't get far so didn't like it back then! Now, playing it on SNES online, I can now see what the fuss was about!

Insane that they are still releasing old gen versions. The franchise just keeps on holding itself back.

    Black Ops 6

If it's 'free' on gamepass and it's good, I'll give it a go for certain. Last one felt too much of a rip off, dlc masquerading as a full game.

    Tarkov PVE

So, after all the bullshit, I was given my free access to the new PVE mode the other day. It's brutal but it's fantastic, no more having to deal with cheaters. The faction bots are lethal and I've only managed to extract successfully once out of five raids. KD of 1 though 🤪 Tarkov plays as smooth as butter and I'll be back on it a lot until Grey Zone gets optimised.

  8. There's mooted to be a new map about to drop soon, among order stuff happening at a forthcoming DayZ event. A winter map in Norway possibly but really no-one knows yet. Plus all owners of DayZ who never bought the previous dlc map, Livonia, are being given it for free.

  9. Looking back we were in a state of transition, moving away from 16 bit graphics to experience our first forray into 3d. A lot of the 3d models were blockish and certainly would not hold up well today, heck it's not often you see someone make a 90s style game but people do keep going back to our 16 bit era. So, are there any games you remember fondly? For me it'ss the obvious final fantasy games, but in addition to that I always remember fighting force. Spending a lot of time on streets of rage when I was younger I suppose this was the sort of game that evolved from them, walking around 3d levels beating the crap out of people. So, are there any that you remember fondly?

    Clan Rivals

Well hello there! A few years back, we had an interesting time on the forum before it was this beautiful place. We all played CoD together but what we decided to do was create 2 clans. We had Blood 4 Blood (B4B) and we had Alliance (|A|). It created a nice little dynamic where we often played against eachother to keep up a friendly rivalry and it also breathed some new life onto the game, which we all need again. So my question is, would we be up for doing something like that again? PS. B4B 4 LYF

  12. Man, this is sooooo hard. Too many to choose from given it was peak gaming as a kid. I loved Virtua Racing on Mega Drive. Took graphics and games to a new level. And then followed by an incredible TOCA and TOCA 2 games on the Playstation 1. Driving games just were never as good as these for a while. So many sport games tbh defined me as a kid so I have loads that wouldn't really be on many people's radar, like Madden 92 NFL and NHLPA Hockey 93 which was insanely good. Micro Machines Turbo Tournament 2 was incredible for their tournament mode of 4 leagues with promotion and relegation - some concepts that are still not matched in other games to this day and I have no idea why. Outside of sports games, Tomb Raider I think was just gamebreaking for RPGs. And as others say, Final Fantasy 7 lit up what was achievable on open world games for me.

  13. Yeah I was hoping the same for me tbh...but I haven't reinstalled it as watching is a little easier than getting stuck into a large open world survival game!

    Black Ops 6

MW recent CoDs have been some of the better ones in the franchise so I hope they can bring this back and make it worthwhile. I've not seen anything on this one though to tempt me like MW2 and MW3 did.

    Clan Rivals

CoD is ass. Also it was all B4B until certain issues arose which lead to the split where some people formed Alliance and some formed T2K (Tendency 2 Kill). Can’t believe it’s been fucking 15 years since some of us first met… Jesus time flies

  21. Ubisoft is pretty interesting to me, even as a star player and in their champion programs the difference between the community teams and developers, vs the suits is so astounding. Two games that were in the pipeline were based off of extremely popular mini games in their man series. The naval battles in Black Flag, the survival in Division 1. They just couldn't get their shit together.

  22. 1999 champs final, Man Utd vs Bayern or England vs Australia 2003, when Wilko won it with that drop kick. Either of them for me, hard to pick one tbh. They’ll only get beaten if England ever win anything at footie.

  26. A lot of articles catalogued and talked about in this video regarding this situation Studio closures to cut costs, failing game pass and Phil Spencer going against everything he stood for. Sounds like an absolute shambles. The fact Bobby Kotick got a near $400m payoff is absolutely nuts. I did predict that all this would happen in the Microsoft/Activision takeover thread and how it would be a catastrophe for gamers and developers. Funnily enough, not even the shareholders are seeing a benefit of it yet! Phil Spencer should probably stand down.

  27. £30 is nuts for an expansion. £15 tops I'd say. Bohemia treating it like it's a new release so they can get that sweet ass pay day.

  29. It's nice to have a new map but it's going to cost around 30 quid when there's already plenty of free maps already via mods....but yeah I'll likely pick it up.

  30. Played this a bit yesterday. Runs really well for me, very smooth. Did one session, had another guy in my team who was obviously a Tarkov player as we communicated via the Tarkov wiggle. I killed 5 players and extracted with lots of loot. It's very decent for a beta, plays like a finished game. My first issue with it is likely to materialise when we get the finished game and see what their monetisation is going to be. It's a free game and I suspect there's going to be lots of pay to win...but we'll see. My second issue is that you don't seem to be able to play solo...and I'm not really one for teaming up with randoms.

  34. Very tough choice because the 90's made some huge strides in very little time and the industry kept evolving and innovating massively - imagine going from Doom to Half Life in just 5 years! The gulf between a 2019 game compared to a 2024 one now is almost nothing. Metal Gear Solid is a very strong shout because it told an incredible story and had some unforgettable gameplay moments. There's also Half Life as mentioned, Resident Evil 2, FF7, Super Mario 64, GoldenEye, Age of Empires 2 and many more. I'd probably give it to MGS overall as it pushed the PS1 to the max and also exposed Nintendo's mistake in using cartridges as even some of the sound files were bigger than an entire N64 game! Games going from 2D to 3D was big in those days and Mario 64 was also a significant leap. I really miss huge innovations like that these days.

  37. So we managed to get on this last night, Lee, Tom and once we managed to install the games (the auto downloads did not work for various reasons). Anyway I had a lot of fun with this, it's a very different pace compared to Helldivers, COD etc. I managed to kill Lee with a bomb thinking friendly fire was off, we almost burnt down the ship multiple times, I watched Tom raise the anchor while the ship was in flames all next to him, we also locked Tom in the brig only for him to die and come back as a skeleton (just on my screen apparently). Oh and if your crew mates are drunk definately don't fall off the ship! It runs really smooth and the gameplay is quite simple in all honesty but it was kind of refreshing to play after some of the recent multiplayer games we have been into. There was no pressure to do anything and I think at the end of the session we were just sailing about aimlessly, playing music and just visiting random islands and such. I am quite looking forward to diving back in and unlocking more quests and such.

  38. Microsoft announces 4 studio closures—including Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks, creators of Prey and Hi-Fi Rush respectively | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM "Great teams are sunsetting before our eyes again, and it's a f*cking gut stab." Gotta pump all that money into Call of Duty and Bethesda smh! Hi-Fi Rush was a great title but obviously that isn't enough for Microsoft or any greedy corporation now. More will fall especially with MS trying to offload all their gamepass studio acquisitions that haven't paid off in trying to close the gap on Playstation. Sad to see especially when they are happily spending tens of billions on other brands for EZ munay.
