I've played a few more games tonight. I'm definitely enjoying it more now I've got my eye in. I've found that running around like a headless chicken isn't the way to play. Using cover and being tactical* is the best way to play. *camping.

Some early build footage has been leaked and it comes from a credible source that falls in line with things Rockstar have confirmed already. Some GTA V stock assets are being used along with placeholders themselves. Also appears to be running off a PS4 dev kit but that doesn't mean it'll be on that system when it launches. Don't expect these videos to remain up for too long.

Hmmm, its a slow burner of a game and it was made to make you think. I don't think it make you depressed but you said you want an experience that is fun and I think this is more one of those thinking deeper games with some unique ways on how it interacts and plays. I haven't played it longer than a few hours as it was pretty sluggish for me too and not enough to hold me from the start. I'm sure there was abit that would be grips to you play more - the only person that really loved this as far as I can remember was @JsinOwl .

They've built up a huge following that the cash cow of GTA will be ridiculously huge whatever they release on the 74 consoles available today.

Nah, its all for fun and it reminds people we actually have quite a lot of quizzes that people haven't tried or gone back to! And its always good seeing if you can beat others too for a little slice of FG pride 🤣🤣

Its early days Gaz, you'll always get some views from either side that'll be way off. When you start out, I alwasy find I struggle until I work out map design, where people usually run into, good cover spots and finding the most common campers like @MrBiron so you can grab an easy kill 😎 I'll be looking to see if the Open Beta is available to download now, its got to be worth having a few tries on it - and we all know if we were joined up rather than solo you always get a better experience initially.

Picked this up for a whopping $6 after touring a retro videogame store with my oldest. I remember people here taking about it and didn’t want to check youtube for spoilers and such. I’m maybe 1 hr into the game and it’s sluggish but I can see a story getting developed. Question is - Is this game just going to make me depressed? I have 3 littles and I don’t need added drama in my life because that’s just not fun for me. Seems like Last of Us is the same way which is why I haven’t tried that one either. I like games for fun and don’t mind some drama but I don’t want to play through an experience where my kids die and shit. Is this game worth continuing or should I pass? PS3 is the new retro btw. We’re old now, gotta accept it.

It was @JsinOwl as he put me into it, the story was fine I found the gameplay a little lacking but I did see it through. Even the sex scene 😁

There's definitely some connection issues at the moment but hopefully that is just because of the reduced numbers on the beta. I really don't like the new perk system though, you choose 2 base perks which you have then you choose 2 additional perks; if you play well you get the first and then continue to play well you get the second. It doesn't sound too bad from the description except both cold blooded and ghost are in the additional perks. So if the enemy team has a good start to the match it's incredibly hard to pull back as you don't get enough points (or whatever the metric is) to get your additional perks so just die more to kill streaks and UAV spam. Thankfully it doesn't seem to happen too often but I have had a handful of matches that just end up a runaway game for the winning side. Another negative is Marksman rifles are shit! I want to love them because I'd rather be accurate and less shots than spray and pray but they're rubbish. They're one shot kill at close range but anything over, I'd guess 20 metres, is 2 shot and if you're going across map long shots even a head shot isn't a one shot kill. Assault rifles seem to have about the same damage drop off but the much higher fire rate makes them much easier or if you want the longer range, use a sniper then as they don't suffer the drop off. They're really the only big negatives in my opinion. It plays quite a lot like MW2019, which is good, and overall I'm quite enjoying it.

The thing is I'm not actually a camper. I do move around but you just can't run around as much in this game. I'd love to be able to rush all the time but you can't so I'm just changing my play style.

Personally, you could recreate this using your idea for way less cost. Either 1) use a 3D printer to create the Sega Mega Drive with a space to fit the components for the Raspberry PI, or 2) buy an old faulty Mega Drive for next to nothing on eBay. Open it up and stick the Raspberry PI in it. If you can get that working in the same way, you have access to way more games too with some nostalgia. Its all about the effort really vs handing over money for a ready made one.

It now just feels like they will release any old console. If they didn't charge so much, I'd be all for it but these things are pricey. At this point I'd rather just emulate the system, that's essentially what they are selling anyway. You can build a Raspberry Pi for much cheaper and have access to many more games and systems in one place.

Nooooooo 😭 Sega all the way baby 😎 None of that weird Plumber guy (Sorry Dave! @Plumbers Crack 🤣). I mean, the titles look pretty decent for a change. They've focused on some titles that are actually pretty hard to get at a reasonable price if you want the original - Streets of Rage 3 is over £100 on its own if you want the original. Still feels weird though as its emulated so you could just download them on your PC for virtually naff all if you wanted to play the game. For people that can't get into buying the old kit and just want a quick easy bit of nostalgia, I can see why they'd go for it. Do you think its a own goal that they couldn't make the cartridge slot to work with the original games?

*Boring 👍 I've watched a couple of Nero's videos as he gives a more balanced view than some but it just looks and sounds like the same old shit with the same stupid design decisions and some unnecessary changes that seem to be there just so they can say it's different. Simple stuff it shouldn't be difficult. Quieter footsteps/ dead silence perk Regular mini map Name bars above characters Proper leveling system Less aggressive sbmm and don't disband lobbies Map voting These Devs are deaf dumb and blind, I don't want to duck walk round a "great looking environment" I don't want to sit in a corner, I want to run around. I complain about all the shit in destiny PvP but it's fun mostly and definitely fast paced. I'd love to go back and play some cod because I used to love it but this shit once again isn't for me from what I've seen so far, if things change for the better somehow then maybe.

Sorry for the delay and thanks for your nice words @GazzaGarratt 🙂 I have never played Fallout 76, it was pants when it was launched and that put me off massively, wish I had more team but at the moment definitely focussed on Destiny with the time I have. it may be better now but Fallout 4 was the last I played. Hadn't worked out there was videos and quizzes, will definitely have a look. Peace out 😀

We've already got travel booked in November, going to CA to visit my wife's family and then do our own thing. My MIL is in from Jordan. She spent 2 weeks with us last month and is now with my BIL, so we'll see her again while we are out there. My MIL is awesome so I'm really looking forward to it.

So some of us are currently new to D2 and in the future more will likely come, so I thought a general thread on small questions that probably don't require a heap of discussion. So if you have any small questions regarding this, I'm hoping people will be able to answer. So first up, what on earth is all these symbols on the destination map? Secondly, each weapon has a symbol in the upper corner. I think this shows which expansion pack it has come from, so which ones do I keep? Say I'm currently playing the Beyond Light story, should I be scrapping all armour / weapons from the previous expansions? Any useful sites to be aware off?
