  1. The game needs ninja/ dead silence. It's a bit of a crutch perk for me as I just hate the sound. As for maps, of the newer ones were any good surely people wouldnt want shipment 24/7 or old maps re-inteoduced?

  2. The maps are always up for debate and scrutiny. 👀 Apart from MW19's elephant running on a tin roof footsteps, I think the footsteps were rather fair in Cold War and on Vanguard unless playing Search & Destroy they are barely noticeable. Also there is a ninja perk in Vanguard and Cold War.

  3. Agree maps and footsteps are a big issue how do the Devs keep fucking up on this year after year.

I think your on to something there Chad. How about an Avant-garde Alternative Funk/Soul/Motown/Nu-Metal/Hip-Hop/Indy/Progressive Bluegrass/Folk/Deathcore/Symphonic/Electronic Synth/Polka/Jazz/Surfer Rock/Stoner Metal Fusion band that includes Yodelling and Mongolian Throat Singing and Gregorion Chanting?

  5. It's supposed to be pretty much the same as MW2019. If it actually has decent maps then that's no bad thing. The core gameplay of MW2019 was solid. Although, as I've said before, if the game has super loud footsteps then I'll avoid it.

  8. Man, this is a hard choice. I have way too many to choose from. Pizza is definetly up there, as I do love me a good pizza pie. There's a shawarma place in town that is 100% the best in the city. I'm always a sucker for some cheeseburgers, fast food or a dedicated place like The Works here in town. They do some crazy stuffed burgers that are amazing. Sub sandwiches are a staple in the house as well. Specialty poutines at a local place here are really good too, and we can't forget wings and chicken sandwiches. Fuck it, I'm not choosing... I love them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Live A Live

Finished up the old west scenario this morning. That was a fun chapter. You begin play as an "outlaw" being confronted by a bounty hunter. After evading, you come upon a small town that you eventually have to help defend against a group of outlaws terrorizing the area. You spend the fair majority of the chapter finding resources to use for traps before the final encounter to help reduce the number of enemies in said battle. That was a fun one to be sure. Onto to the Present Day chapter.

  10. I remember the first time playing Roadrash Jailbreak on a PS1 with a Multi-tap with the ability to have 4 players. What a laugh, every 10 seconds "Oi ya dick stop bashing into me!" 😂 The good thing about Jailbreak was it had the side car option, so 1 steered and drive and the other got to punch and pick up weapons like bats, chains and glass bottles and knock shit outta each other. Literally hours of fun.

  11. Great article, can relate to a lot. I remember having gone out and bought a guidebook to final fantasy 7 as I was struggling. Same with one of the zelda games I had. The multiplayer thing too, I absolutely love going round to Lee's to play his old games. Whilst headsets and online play you cant beat being in the same room. The tensions when we play eachother on mario kart, super tennis, track and field etc you just dont get when playing online for me

  20. This is what usually puts me off unfortunately. And even then it never really fills me up because I don't eat a huge curry. Usually now its Chicken Kurayi. Ain't that the truth! You can add when they give the wrong dish for a vegetarian, that's a nightmare for me! Dealing with wife's agony whilst I have to drive back there to get a fresh meal 😅 Used to absolutely love doner meat, although absolutely no salad whatsoever Paul, thanks very much! 😄 I think over the years its not been as tasty as it once was. Maybe because i don't go out as much and it used to be a great meal at the end of a drinking session.

Aye I'm all for the red cabbage, onions, garlic mayo sauce and chili sauce. But the donkey meat is not for me. I just don't like lamb. In doner terms mutton, an old lamby.

  27. Excellent post James and full of information. They did mention maybe swimming would be an option as well. Hope people don't camp with Shotguns underwater ughhh..... I think you can only use your secondary underwater. Depends if Shotguns will be primary or secondary, judging on past history Treyarch do Shotgun secondaries and Infinity Ward always make them primary. 😀

  28. With Modern Warfare II’s launch fast approaching, some questions remain; what strides are Infinity Ward taking to make Modern Warfare II a fresh experience? Similar to its predecessor, Infinity Ward plans to refine its parkour system, drawing inspiration from Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, as well as with the introduction of all-new features and mechanics; here’s the scoop! With Modern Warfare II’s multiplayer maps sticking to a more tight and hard-lined approach to level design; players will be able to meddle with these mechanics in Warzone 2, putting these new features to the test in a larger, more variable playground; using the environment to your advantage! Movement Ladders & Ropes With Ladders, you’ll be able to vertically position the equipment alongside walls, containers, and buildings; though if not supported, it will fall and shatter, causing the Field Upgrade to reset. For Ropes, You’ll be able to repel down, and scale up buildings with this tool. whilst repelling, players can also swing through windows, or into collapsed walls. You can also attach the rope to vehicles and players, allowing for a quick getaway for downed players. Shifting & Strafing Strafing lets you move sideways in any direction, as well as backwards. Say you get too close to a threat, or you turn a corner where you’re at a disadvantage, you can shift out of the area to clear some space and get a better view of your options and surroundings. Wall-climb Players will be able to vertically clamber up walls, this feature is determined by the height of the platform you’re trying to reach and mount. Ledge-hanging You’ll be able to hang off and grab onto ledges. Call of Duty’s newest mechanic that allows players to reach for impracticable platforms, also reduces fall damage. Players will also be able to use their sidearm whilst ledge-hanging. Sliding Sliding has since been revised, allowing for players to now slide into a prone position, as well as down angled inclines and slopes. Bunny-hopping Bunny-hopping is dependent on the height a player falls from; the greater the height, the more speed boost you will gain onto your bunny-hop. Gameplay features Exigency hip-fire (Quick sidearm draw) A feature that allows you to quickly switch to your sidearm with one hand, this can also be done with lethals. Suppressor Meter You can change the size of suppressors and depending on the size it’ll affect recoil, damage, and ranges. There’ll exist a meter that players will be able to mess with and find their balance. Weapon handling (Grips) An operator will have the option of choosing between a set of different tactical handlings and techniques; this can affect the accuracy and speed of a weapon, some examples include a Magwell Grip, and C-Clamp Grip. Magazine check animation -For modes with limited heads-up-display (HUD), you’ll be able to inspect a weapons magazine count. Reticle ammunition count New design where reticles display a weapons ammo count, seen with revolvers and shotguns. These refined and renewed mechanics will give fans a new learning-curve, that’ll allow players to effectively interact with, practice, and master stringing together unfamiliar gameplay features.

  29. I forgot about that. That's also something that added to the camping as players could just sit in a corner and be hidden from UAVs, plus there is the fact that gunfire didn't show on the mini map. It's like IW made this game specifically for campers.

  30. I don't think MW19 was awful, but it only had about 6 maps for 6v6 traditional MP. They added Shoothouse and Shipment eventually that was a saving grace. Considering we got half of the available maps in the beta. And of those 6 maps, 2 were the Infamous Picadily and Azhir Caves. St Petrograd wasn't much of a looker either, the map design made it impossible to enjoy high end aerial streaks as well. Over time as you say more patches came and the game got a bit better. MW19 was different than all the Cods, eventho it did well and was well received to some extent. Lot's of people liked it, some on the fence and quite a few old school players hated it. It was the different mechanics and trying to close the skillgap and cater to newer players. That being said, playing with friends makes it ultimately a better experience. Even if it's a terrible match and we get whooped it's still banter. It's even more fun winning. The gunsmith was revolutionary, the game had good ideas. Sometimes the execution wasn't there on others. The game itself isn't a 10/10 or a 2/10. If I was rating it myself personally I would give it a 7.5.

  31. I agree they have plenty of knowledge and experience, but these days certain decisions are made for money which then affect us lot as the gamer. They try and come up with different ways to encourage people to further spend. I'm like I bought the game and that was more than enough. A good game in their eyes is figures, to us it's about the gameplay experience. Maybe they have lost touch in what a good game is. It probably doesn't help with about 14 yearly releases, the content has to dry up eventually. I expect quite a bit as most should, but as long as it plays pretty good and isn't incorporated by terrible mechanics, I'm not too fussy. It's things like firing an unsilenced weapon and not showing up as a red dot on the radar. WTF is that? Loud footsteps and no ninja perk, sound whoring and camping. That's some of the aspects MW19 brought along and with all those doors and windows lol.

  32. It's still an Activision-branded title - Microsoft just own the company. I don't think they'd want their name anywhere near titles like Diablo Immortal 🤣

  35. Exactly, I think it gets people talking even if it's cheesy. I think personally they have borrowed it from actual drone footage on a barge then just plastered MW2 on the barge. The containers and images are easy to conjure up. Probably cost them next to nothing to rustle this up. 😊

  38. I also forgot to mention that Activision even blocked their API because users were reverse-engineering match data to determine the algorithms in play for a specimen pool of users. Not only was their framework blocked, that information was also bound to a desist order. Basically Activision going to extraordinary lengths to cover up their matchmaking processes. MW2 had the best matchmaking because it was random and based purely on connection. I loved going into matches and not knowing what to expect. Black Ops 1 was also very good with the extended option of choosing locale only. Developers have claimed that these two games also had SBMM but that's total bullshit as my lobbies were always varied especially in BO1 when you could literally see leaderboards going into games and combat records too. Matchmaking should be simple and to benefit connection as a priority but Activision make it all about money and psychology. Sadly it works.

  39. How about simply having connection based matchmaking and then a ranked playlist?

  40. Perhaps a better Skill-based match making system could help? I've never though COD has been great in that department.

  46. I'm actually excited about this one. Imo there wasn't a good CoD since Black Ops 2 up until the MW reboot. Then after, there hasn't been a good CoD since. I have a feeling ill love this one too as its using the same engine. Couldn't give 2 shades of a shit about the BR mode though unfortunately.

  47. Will reality live up to expectations? Probably not. The hype will be there, but if there is no maps like High rise, Terminal or Favela then it will disappoint. I'm curious to the gun selection and perk balance as well. If the game looks and plays good then it will be a monster hit on all fronts. Really has the potential to revive the corpse of COD and bring some diehard fans back. *holds breath patiently*

  48. I'd like to think this will be similar to the most recent Modern Warfare (2019) which I really enjoyed. I'd like a more realistic looking game than these badly animated/textured games COD keep coming out with.
