  1. The game needs ninja/ dead silence. It's a bit of a crutch perk for me as I just hate the sound. As for maps, of the newer ones were any good surely people wouldnt want shipment 24/7 or old maps re-inteoduced?

  2. The maps are always up for debate and scrutiny. 👀 Apart from MW19's elephant running on a tin roof footsteps, I think the footsteps were rather fair in Cold War and on Vanguard unless playing Search & Destroy they are barely noticeable. Also there is a ninja perk in Vanguard and Cold War.

  3. Agree maps and footsteps are a big issue how do the Devs keep fucking up on this year after year.

I think your on to something there Chad. How about an Avant-garde Alternative Funk/Soul/Motown/Nu-Metal/Hip-Hop/Indy/Progressive Bluegrass/Folk/Deathcore/Symphonic/Electronic Synth/Polka/Jazz/Surfer Rock/Stoner Metal Fusion band that includes Yodelling and Mongolian Throat Singing and Gregorion Chanting?

  5. It's supposed to be pretty much the same as MW2019. If it actually has decent maps then that's no bad thing. The core gameplay of MW2019 was solid. Although, as I've said before, if the game has super loud footsteps then I'll avoid it.

  8. Horrible. Something you don't even contemplate happening to you when you go on them. So glad it was 2 people injured and no fatalities.

  9. I totally get the footsteps thing, it doesn't always bother me. What usually happens is your team mates don't have quiet footsteps and they are all around. I swear team mates loud footsteps get me killed lol. There has definitely been good and bad new maps over the last few Cods. Personally I love Shipment because I'm a camo grinder and nothing is better than that map (aside longshots). However there are plenty of older maps that have never been redone. Things like Terminal and highrise which is constantly asked by the community. It's just usually the Nuketown/Summit/Jungle constantly and shit like crash, vacant etc. Personally I would love a remake of Favela, that map was badass. Or Black ops 1 Grid or Kwaloon sp?

  10. Remember trying to figure out which direction you had to go in certain castles in the original super mario bros? No guides, no internet, all trial and error. Same with figuring out which weapons worked on what bosses in Mega Man? Unless you used Metal Blades, then fuck it. Lol!

  19. Pizza probably is joint first with Chinese for me, mainly because I just don't try too many things but I LOVE Chicken Fried Rice soooooo much then it wins. Plus Prawn Crackers are da bomb.

Is there not much choice of Asian food in Greece? Or is it just something you never got a chance to try because the family prefer other things as a main choice?

  21. I'm still waiting on a version of Kowloon for the modern game, I'll never get it I know... but that alone would make me buy another COD. MW2019 was the last one I bothered with.

  22. I forgot about that. That's also something that added to the camping as players could just sit in a corner and be hidden from UAVs, plus there is the fact that gunfire didn't show on the mini map. It's like IW made this game specifically for campers.

  23. The whole Ninja/Dead Silence thing is a 50/50 double edged sword. Yes people can camp harder being silent, but the real goblins are laying prone and not moving. The footsteps are irrelevant. However the people who do want to rush and move about are being punished with the loud footsteps and maybe getting killed the odd time from it. (Especially in Search) So that makes the aggressive players maybe rethink their tactics and slow down, which then before they realise they are actually camping and getting a VTOL. Ultimately becoming the thing they hate ("Camper"). I think Cold War and Vanguard got Ghost right. In those games you have to move a little at least or it won't be affective if your stationary for too long. In MW19 you can be absolutely still and Ghost works 100%.

  24. I think that's the thing though. Many people back when it comes out give over the top reviews and talk like CoD has been a 3/10 game for years. 7.5 is a fantastic score for a CoD game, but I appreciate that the game is only NOW far better because it released with so little maps. Map rotation now is so good. We get to play so many different maps and it never feels like it gets old. This has always been the case, although some games bullshit can stop that too. This game doesn't. Thursday nights event on CoD saw 5-6 of us group up and dominate all night. The only time where it felt like we probably need to practice like we used to was for a few games of Search and Destroy. More so because we haven't played that in years (sad face). I'm not finding it a campfest atm. Maybe its just because of the years moved the sweaty players away, or that map rotation is good enough to force that not happening. I'll argue with you to the end of time that now Dead Silence not in the game as a perk has made it a better game because that invokes MORE camping. Honestly, I think you'd love grouping up again on this. The content I think was the main killer for people's views when it initially came out. I think the only spawn trapping I see now is on Shipment, which lets face it, is a clusterfuck abomination of a map that you are supposed to just have fun with rather than worry about spawns and K/D. It's the world we live in today - AAA games of the last 3-8 years are the strongest out there because of the constant updates they've had. Very few AAA games now get the content that you would expect in games 10 years old where we all got it from launch. Its a shame but maybe the positive is we are now seeing these games flourish, and for people that haven't bought them, they're only £15 pre-owned.

  25. I think in hindsight, the COD community overreacted on this game. Yep, I said it. A cod game in recent years is actually decent. Maybe with age and patches its become that way but i'm not sure how people felt at the time. I don't think it was the worst cod feeling back then. Definitely way more positive comments than Cold War and Vanguard for sure. We'll see what the gameplay is like but if you've had a break off CoD for some years, I don't see why its not worth a punt this time round - especially because MW2019 IS decent.

  26. Microsoft have been awfully hands-off so far - personally IMO I don't think they will make a presence on the Activision Blizzard brand until the lawsuit drama is concluded and CEO Bobby Kotick is ousted. They've already cancelled COD for next year so I'm guessing they will allow for all their existing projects to publish, let everything blow over and then get a foothold in the company. I wouldn't be surprised if they re-branded it either just to bury the negative image that has plagued them in the last decade.

  27. However much this is true are we sure they even know how to make a good game afterall they actually think they did a good job with the first one in2019. Making a good call of duty should be the easiest thing ever especially as they have all the info/assets they could ever need.

  28. I think there is a lot of pressure on both companies to succeed. I'm sure it's in everyone's interest to make it good and bring in those huge profits they are expecting. Hopefully for all our sakes it's an absolute belter of a game. It needs to be on the same level as MW2/BO2 imo.

  29. Oh, i know they won't want that one 🤣 I just think they will at least be reviewing upcoming releases at a high level so if anything they don't want to be associated with, they will force it to be reworked. I wouldn't be surprised if you see the live date get pushed back because of it actually. Its very much more like Microsoft than Activision to do something like that to 'get it right first time'.

  30. I mostly don't like using multiple launchers is the main reason - prefer to have all my games in one place ideally aka Steam. Battlenet isn't awful but it has nothing that makes it worth existing in terms of features. It's a simple and small enough platform that does the job but more of an inconvenience than anything. It's also a platform dominated by Blizzard gatekeepers so if you have an issue or criticism, it's stifled or silenced pretty quickly.

  32. Both are true actually @Greboth. CoD will always have a big pool of players, so it would be nice for them to experiment with: Casual Core - CBMM Casual Hardcore - CBMM Competitive Core - SBMM Competitive Hardcore - SBMM On a game that still gets bought by the millions, splitting the pools like would get the desired effect. I don't want to be stomped all the time and would rather see how well I can do, but I also understand when we just wanna have a laugh and kick back in some random casual modes where games can be all over the place. Overwatch has it, Rainbow 6 has it, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same here. P.S. Obviously SBMM in those modes above could have some element of connnection based checks so you aren't playing a random thats on a ridiculously opposite ping to everyone else perhaps.

  33. What's actually sad in Vanguard is I think in Season 2 it was they took away the deaths from the livescoreboard in game in all gamemodes except TDM. They claim it was unintentionally done and were trying to fix it and it was a bug of some sorts. I think it was purposely done for player retention and to stop people leaving if they are getting whipped. I would imagine it would suck the most in SnD especially. Say you join a match and the team are 0-1 down and a guy on the other team has 3 kills, but you can't see his deaths? Now is he 3-0 and 1 kill from a spy plane? Or is he 3-1. These things have a huge bearing on non respawn game modes. It works in TDM but only in 1 game mode? Surely they would all be broken or all work? Hmmmm right sure.....

  34. I agree with a lot that's being said here. Especially @techno for the game should always be about connection rather than ability. Was great way back in MW2, BO1 and 2 when you built up a nemesis and trying to top the lobby when it didn't used to disband after each game. Felt like something else to play for like a side or mini game. James makes some excellent points about SBMM. Having played a lot of the recent Cods and experiencing affected gameplay. I remember on Cold War in particular doing really well and I swear this is not bullshit. Playing really well at the start of the game and then dying. That's not the part, after respawning after death I charged back for a revenge kill. And this particular incident happened 2-3 times on separate occasions. I remember launching a semtex and I swear as I threw it the aim gittered off at the last second and hit a wall and nearly got me killed. I wanted to blame it on stick drift or give the benefit of the doubt, but it happened in a few selective circumstances after I was decimating the other team and then suddenly I don't know how to use a semtex. I can launch a semmy on raid across the map and stick people successfully and consistently off the rip at the start. I'm well aware of aim and distance, but just these incidents were extremely fishy. Other times I've noticed aim or bullets going off for no reason at all, or losing a crucial gunfight I thought I was going to win 100% Definitely a lot of manipulation going on to stop you having "Too good a time". I think I noticed it in Cold War the most out of the last 3 titles. I don't mind getting whooped if I deserve it, but please don't punish me for doing well... That's beyond ridiculous behaviour!

  45. I know the meta changes all the time and guns get buffed or nerfed. Never was much of a Warzone guy, but contrary to belief some of the MW weapons hold up or are on par with the Cold War and Vanguard ones. Except the new season DLC ones they are always OP to encourage people to buy the bundles. Then a few weeks or month later they nerf them to the ground rendering them useless.
    1 point
  46. Playing with friends always makes it more funerer 100%. I think what turned me off Warzone was the fact that instead of updating and making it fresh, they instead lumped 3 games worth of material into the one and made the previous games guns absolutely worthless. It just doesn't seem fair if you get me. I never owned Cold War so my loadouts that were made from MW weapons were underpowered against guns that were decades older. That said, I'll definitely play it again 😂😂

  47. I'm actually excited about this one. Imo there wasn't a good CoD since Black Ops 2 up until the MW reboot. Then after, there hasn't been a good CoD since. I have a feeling ill love this one too as its using the same engine. Couldn't give 2 shades of a shit about the BR mode though unfortunately.

    Modern Warfare 2(022)

While I should be excited about this, as mw2 was my favorite cod ever and I spent months of game time playing it, I can’t help but think it’s gonna be another game that I play for a few weeks and then never touch again. I hope it re captures the cod magic for me but I won’t keep my hopes up. I’m sure I’ll still get it unless it looks like a dumpster fire. I have zero interest in BR games so hopefully it has a good MP selection and some re hashes of my favorites from back then.
