So when I saw the headline about an Until Dawn Remake i thought to myself "why the hell are they remaking this?!". It looked great as it was on PS4 and there are other games that could do with a remaster first. But having read the article and what they are doing I think it will be worth a replay. As well as adding extra branches and deaths so that there are even more options for how your story plays through, it is being tinkered with so it fits in with the Dark Pictures Anthology games timelines, which could be interesting. An FYI in case people don’t know, if you preordered digitally you can download it in preparation for release. I had it preordered with Amazon but realised I had some psn credit for Christmas so might as well switch to digital as it isn’t a game I’ll be getting rid of. Enjoy your week off with it Phil, I expect a full review and dialy videos 😄 as I doubt I’ll have much time to play before the 9th 😞 Early reviews from those who got their amazon orders early are positive. Though seems licence test may be on the easier side again like GT Sport as seems people are getting mosty golds on their first attempts. They are the lower end licences though so maybe the higher end ones will be harder, fingers crossed.

Ark is a game I can never work out if its good or not. Many people already own it (as do I) but its very similar to the survival games we play here. It becomes more fun if you all come together for a common goal and allow players to feel they can actually help with stuff. Difficult though because the levelling system means you can feel like you're already way behind if you step off the game for a week.

Absolutely the right call, since no one is surprised in the slightest. Makes you wonder why on earth Activision let the decision go for so long. Games are changing, evolving into things that we don't see as many new AAA games out as often, with people more wanting to invest time in games they already own. They can make a huge W still after all this if they get the next 2 years right on the correct model. This proves the point too. It has been great to get back into it and definitely stands out - it doesn't feel like a 3 year old game after all. I think it just got caught up in the usual 'If its named CoD, its shit' mentality at the time.

Megathread for FIFA FGFC escapades!

So 2K are developing a load of sports based lego games, including a football game for this years World Cup, and an open world racing game (i'm guessing similar to Forza since they did the lego dlc for the latest version of that). I've always enjoyed playing the lego games, and though I think the racing racing one could be ok, i'm not sure how a football one would play, given that we are so used to the realism from games like PES and FIFA. Slight derail but don't you have an extertnal SSD for all your PS4 games? Saves space for the selected PS5 games for me! I need to pre-order this today so I get a copy sent out. Base.com seem to have it at £60 with pre-order bonus...can't beat my physical copy now can I 😄

Remember buying this didn't really get into it so got rid off it then we got it on ps plus and actually got into it and loved it but I would rather a second game over a remaster/remake.

Guilty pleasure quote incoming - I think the Lego games are massively underrated. Sure, they are aimed at a younger playerbase, but quite a few have been enjoyable to playthrough. Especially when my kids needed help or you could play co-op to solve problems. The completionist in me always looks at how they cleverly make all the levels in a way that you want to 100% them all the time, its great and frustrating all wrapped in one.

I too had it ordered on Amazon but cancelled it yesterday and pre-installed the digital version instead. Because of MW2019 I have no space for games and sadly decided to uninstall GT Sport to make room. 800+ hours spent on that game. But I do have it installed on the PS4 Pro still, so it hasn't gone completely 😁

Sensible decision really - all we would've got was a half-baked Treyarch Black Ops game with barely any content at launch and then being propped up by the usual old maps after. We can thank Microsoft for this move and hopefully it will pay off as Cold War apparently got better and had a new update recently despite Vanguard's launch. It does look decent mate, great little videos to share. Its weird, I think they'll need to do some form of Marketing campaign to get people back into it. If it doesn't go free, looking into a few freeweekends where they can get a deal on the game if they play.

They played such high risk football under Bielsa that if you don't take your chances, you will concede a bucketload. I think their last few games they sit at 2-17 and their GD has tanked to -31 which could be crucial going into the business end of the season. Need to keep things stable, simple and try to grind out some scrappy wins under someone new and keep clean sheets in the process. Getting that confidence restored is important for starters. Relegation battle is really interesting this year but Brentford are the ones in freefall.

I'm not bothered by the "day one raid" stuff or being "power ready." Even if my schedule allowed me to do it, I wouldn't simply for the sole reason being I just don't care about world's first or day one raid crap. I'm sure I'll get a new raid run in at some point when it isn't ridiculously difficult due to the day one mod. I'm still on the fence overall about the whole crafting system. I don't really care for it and chances are, I'll find a similar weapon with a much better role in the field anyway. Well I just finished the campaign, other than the 2 missions I did with @GazzaGarratt I've done it in classic/ normal or whatevs it's called, no way I'd have done it on legendary and tbh im happy with how my light level is for the first few days after release. The campaign as said before long with long ass missions but they were a nice mix of difficulty and occasional wtf is going on but I'm chuffed I got through without YouTube. Using void as a titan is a nice change too. As for the other stuff it's nice to log on and have a lot to choose from. One other thing I wish theyd done is balanced crucible a little but beggers can't be choosers. Pretty impressed so far.

Indeed @Riff Machine I'm in the camp of fuck scorn. The ping of shields gets me every time. @Capn_Underpants was kind enough to help me last night get through a few steps. I think I logged off at like 2am after doing dome free roam finding some area chests or what ever they're called. So many things to play and so much work to do IRL. The feeling of falling behind is the worst I've had thus far in my Destiny career. I get why they do it since it's an IP, but to get properly sorted and develop builds etc, it's really the only game you can play and that's just shitty. I know there are youtubers and all but they tend to unlock everything and make top tier builds like day 1, that's not helpful to anyone else who gets a few hours here and there to play. I feel @Baabcat and his thoughts on the length. I also get it, this is the first launch that I've been apart of that I'm not hearing the community as a whole shit talking bungie and bitching for the sake of it. It feel like everyone is enjoying the content and it's meeting expectations. This is a welcomed reprieve from constant complaining and nothing ever being good enough.

Today is the big day for the first batch of Steam Deck customers. Emails are being sent out at 10am PST and then each person has 72 hours to pay in full. Unclaimed reservations go to the next person in line. I hear it may be a slow roll out and peripherals such as the Dock won't be on sale until the summer. Also, while they're still working their way through the library to verify games, apparently it's only multiplayer games that have issues with anti-cheat that have any problems. No idea when I'll get mine, happy to wait but must admit that I'm very excited and already have a list of games I want to play on it. I used to play DayZ mod and Civilisation in bed on my laptop 10 years ago, which I loved lol and the return to horizontal gaming will be interesting 😁

I'll check out Ghostrunner but I'm more annoyed with the "half" game offers with the legends mode in Tsushima. Might just be me.

funny story dave, until they announced 11 and all their absurd requirements for it to install i was 100% a windows guy, but for the first time in 20 years that i have been using windows pcs i seriously entertained the idea of switching to linux and honestly the biggest obstacle right now is destiny and its anti cheat, for the rest of my issues i can find solutions or workarounds but windows after a few editions is going to require your debit/credit card and your id to even install, the os is becoming too much of a hassle

The PS5 version went live yesterday and PS4 owners get it as a free upgrade. I had a quick session after D&D last night and it is so much better now on console. Really impressed with how much better it looks and feels🙂

MW2019 was the last one I bothered with and judging by a recent night on it, it's still very decent now in 2022.

I agree with that decision once the product improves from it, Especially with the emphasis on Microtransactions since Warzone. It will make people more likely to invest. I know once they release the next one I'll drop back in . I didn't end up getting Vanguard in the end

I have just completed it and OH...MY...GOD!!! I absolutely loved it! The story was really good and there wasn't any point in the game where i got bored or that i felt it dragged. I enjoyed the crafting element, and still had times when i had to hunt around for ammo and supplies. I really can't wait for the next one!!!
