yeah they should come out and say that while development is continuing they got over-enthusiastic with the goals they set and considering the pandemic and that they haven't expanded their team yet stuff will get delayed, better to be open like this so everyone can be mentally prepared that it will take time and maybe take their time on playing the game or maybe play something else until they release new stuff on one hand i dread the day the worlds get reset but on the other hand i have become a better builder i think and together with @TurboR56Mini we could rebuild everything and make it even greater with the experience we have and the new building stuff that will come out

I said before that I think it should run similar to touring car/gt racing. The manufacturers race their cars but privateers can buy cars from whichever manufacturer they want and then race themselves. This does rule out people out of the team championship but realistically they are anyway if they’re only making a handful of races. So we in teams will pick different manufacturers in the order Jordie randomised. Everyone else still has to pick a manufacturer but has free reign to pick whichevrr one they want.

To be honest, while I will be sad to see my wolf sanctuary go if we have to start over, I sort of expect it in anything that is a "pre-release". Like, you can't honestly release updates to a game that will eventually change game mechanics and not reset the worlds. It will cause too many problems for those on "old worlds". But, I think a "reset" after major game-changing updates will bring back players that might have burned out on it already.

Agreed. Such a shame that this became a game that really found its footing and fanbase a bit later after release. Bend Studios makes pretty good games. I think it will just take a little more time (or collective screaming from all the players) for Sony to reverse their decision on not letting them do a sequel. Or, we end up waiting another decade or two... Or, they remake Syphon Filter to really get everyone into the lore of where the virus came from and spread and who NERO is.

Finished the game earlier - took about 44 hours to do the story and I did a lot of the side content too. Very pleased with the game in the end and it really exceeded my expectations. Such a shame there wont be a sequel really!

One of my other hobbies are RC monster trucks. Most of the ones I have are 1/10 & 1/8 scale trucks which I built myself by custom fabricating steel tube chassis with a tubing bender and brazing the joints to give it very high strength. About a year ago I decided to just go all out and built the biggest & baddest most scale looking Rc truck I possibly could build. It took me just over 10 months from start to finish, over 400+ hours of work, and honestly I could have bought a decent shape real truck for the amount of money I have invested into this thing, but it really is an absolute blast to drive this thing. It's about 33" long, almost 24" tall and 24" wide and weighs in at exactly 50lbs. I have around 200 hours just into the build of the tube chassis itself. I built it all out of 5/16" .062 wall steel tube. Axles are custom pieces made by a guy here in the US that makes them in small batches (Hess machine makes them). It uses a Castle 800kv brushless sensored motor and a Castle XLX2 ESC. Has a pair of SMC 9700mah graphine extreme lipos for 8s power. I made everything on it myself such as the headers are steel tube with plumbing fittings bent and ground down to look like real headers. Motor mount I fabed up out of aluminum angle stock and polished. Shocks are Xmaxx shocks I stripped the color off of and polished then refit with higher rate springs. Center diff is a spool (locker) out of a Losi DBXL. Drivers seat I made out of some sheet metal and then I 3D printed some gauges and such as well as numerous other scale parts. Body I airbrushed myself, another hobby I enjoy, and the chassis I had a local place powder coat for me bright yellow. Here are some pics of it. I'm not sure how this site does videos but I'll try to upload a couple vids of it running as well after the pictures. The other trucks in a couple pics are normal 1/10 scale ones I have to give a size comparison.

Hey gang. Not sure who is still around from the old days but talked to Lee a couple months ago and he mentioned this site was still around and I had been meaning to come check up on it for some time now but just had so much going on I never got around to it till now. This is Steve, use to be active here many years ago. Can't even remember how long it's been, maybe 6...8 years ...longer perhaps? It was back in the days with Tommy, Lee, Jason, Dave and some of the other old timers. Not sure if any of them are still around or not. Gonna take me a bit to check out this whole new looking site (new to me at least :) ) but just wanted to say hello before I started looking around again here. Steve

Lots of pundits genuinely thought Everton were finally do something last year, but that didn't last long, and says a lot about the pundits more than anything else. He left pretty swift too 😅 The Poch crap around Spurs is annoying and I believe Levy will do something on the cheap. Martinez was mentioned before so it's a possibility.

I'm not sure an early access game has ever hit its goals on time. It goes with the territory and I've learned to be very patient with small developers as a result.

If we are using manufacturers, what's happening to all the others that turn up? Are they allowed free reign over all cars because they'll be in the championship too but just with whoever turns up first? Rather know now before we nudge people and they ask what they are supposed to be using 👍

Thing is, I absolutely agree with you on this John, so what would stand them in good stead for the rest of the year is straightforward early communications about what is to be expected. Comms that doesn't say much isn't hugely helpful, so whilst I think its good they don't get pinned down on a date for this first big update, they equally have to be transparent with what to expect over the next 6 months at least - just confirming how many updates they expect to get out before the end of the year helps us understand when and how much time to dedicate to the game. Things that we'd also need to know and be open about is what impact it has to the existing worlds. You never know, we might have to start again (something that feels painful, but also a regular occurrence in survival games).

Agreed. I mean, I didn't want to pick up the Relic when I got teleported, but I had to. I didn't want to shoot Oracles during the Templar phase, and I cried about it a little. But, I did. I'm fine with sitting on the platform when told what planet/area the other team is on. Just... calling out what I see in the proper order? Lol. Again, not even @TurboR56Mini trusts my spatial awareness IRL. "Why did you think all of that stuff would fit in that jar?" ... "At least pour it over the sink instead of spilling it everywhere" ... "Why do you insist on parking crooked in the driveway?" 🤣 "No... that is absolutely not the center... and that's not half." Yet, I'm perfectly fine with punching dead center on someone's sternum if needed. Figure that out. I know my weaknesses. But I'll take calling out oracles before shooting them... until we get crossplay for raids. (I had a fantastic time on the PC version yesterday with @TurboR56Mini and @Tar-Eruntalion ... my ability to just swap guns super quickly... aim without downsights... basically nail precision shots without depending on a bow and using almost any gun for them... :: sigh :: keyboard/mouse is just my speed, I guess). I wonder if it's easier to see what's near/far for Oracles if it's on PC. But, yes... absolute quiet and calmness during Atheon is almost a requirement.

I thought it was going to be around the end of June we started the summer league? Though it would be good to sort what manufacturers we’re using soon as I imagine each team is going to want a chance to discuss which to choose. @jordie1892 are you still doing the random draw to decide the order or would you like me to do it?

Might need to check with you guys to understand when the new season starts then! @phil bottle @Mikepjbell @jordie1892 @Greboth I know you lot are looking into all of this so what would really help is the full list of all the races and also not losing sight that we still are doing the individual mini league as well as this team championship. I'd love to get the race events up each week so we can get started on the infographics and all that jazz. I'm still working on getting the developer to create the league within our tournaments section if possible but if not I can help show someone what I do to create the tables that are embedded into some of the posts you've seen (and on the Game Hub GT Sport page).

I think these early ones counted as a hybrid, considering we had to load a tape and wait 10-20 minutes for the game to load! 🤣

Near far is fine, if you are struggling to work out which is which, just move side to side a bit, the far ones position will move further. Don’t be static

Got off a 9 hour shift today and was only planning a short and slow 5k but just in case I wanted to go a little thurther I got my hydration pack ready and a sis gel lucky I did but it wasn't the distance and that hurt but the heat as it was still 22 degrees I was a right sweaty mess. Personally I prefer the first two callouts and use left, mid, right and just call far and near if there’s 2 in the same side. I’ve only done the raid a number of times and @Riff Machine has the callouts down to perfection. As long as everyone shuts up and doesn’t tell the whole team that they’re being chased by supplicants mid call outs then you’ll be fine

i don't think there's any way they will deliver on what they promised with the 4 big content updates, they got overly confident with the millions of people who bought the game and promised more than they could deliver, i expect 2 updates at most for this year, the game will take years to finish i just hope it's not too many and they use some of these millions to build a big team

The above vid is one of my other 1/10 scale trucks I built a couple years ago called "King Nothing". After getting the giant 1/5 scale done a few months ago the 1/10 scale trucks has sat on the shelf so I decided to get one of them out today to get a bit muddy.

Thanks bud. It is really a blast to drive. To be honest it gives you that bit sketchy feeling inside when you drive it because 50lbs going 30-35mph could cause some serious injury/damage if you're not careful 😬 I've actually had a few people ask me to build them ones since finishing it a few months ago but always have to turn them down. One thing is the amount of work/time was just crazy, but also the money I put into it. When I started building it I figured I'd have around $2500 or so into it, but by the time it was all said & done, I went about $1000 over that budget 🤪 Here's a quick vid of it testing out how it handles some jumps back in April. Took about 2 months to get all the bugs worked out of it, but now I have it running pretty good and all the little bugs are worked out.

I will actually look forward to this and hope it's decent. The first one caught me by surprise as I was never really into zombie melee type games. But I watched a guy called ShoSho playing it, and the look of it just sucked me in. Didn't disappoint, probably one of my favourite games of the last 10 years in fact. It still looks good now but the parkour and the day/night mechanics really made you feel like you were in Harran. Its was genuinely creepy. One thing I noted though and will remember: I spent most of the game hoping to find guns but when I finally did, it became too easy and I stopped playing.
