@Plumbers Crack I can't remember what size power supply ended up in your PC but apparently the 3070 will be a 220W card. Your CPU is probably 100W or so at a guess so even a 600-650W should be enough though always worth checking these things. Didd's is correct about testing your card but also worth waiting a little too as AMD will be releasing their new cards soon (next month I think). @DiddumsI wouldn't be so sure about AMD's comupence. We're still a while out of their launch but current rumours say AMD won't compete with the halo 3090 but will against the rest of the 3000 series cards and, knowing AMD, be cheaper for it. Unless you need a GPU right now, today, I can't think of a good reason to not wait a month or so to see what the red team release.

This is going to be a game changer, mark my words. This is AMD's comeuppance for all the shit they've been dumping all over Intel in the CPU market. Whilst expensive, the fact that you're getting so much bang for those bucks at least brings the performance in line with what you're paying. This all remains dependent on what the benchmarks look like obviously, and not what Nvidia's chart says as we all know how easy it is to bullshit charts in your favour. I'll be honest, my 2070S is looking a bit dated already if these charts are accurate but there's no reason to update yet, it still shreds at 1440p. It'll suck to see everyone else running circles around me though 😄 @Plumbers Crack this will definitely be a boost to SC but keep in mind that that game is still an alpha and extremely poorly optimized. I'd say that the vast majority of the time the game runs poorly, it's not your PC, it's the game. It might be worth playing something that's very well optimized for a bit just to see how well it runs, to give you some context, before you judge your system's performance on SC. Do yourself a favour Dave, download the following games (all free) and play them for a bit, just to see how things play out. Also ensure you have Nvidia's overlay enabled so you can see your FPS (I have this enabled at all times, let me know if you need instructions): Planetside 2 (if your PC can run this at good settings and good FPS, it'll run anything, this is a massive game which in the right fight will bring your PC to its knees). Team Fortress 2 Destiny 2 If you want, even World of Warcraft has a trial (the retail version which is the wanky shit one, but it's worth it just to see how it runs). Remember, you can delete all of these whenever you want, it's just for trialling purposes to get some context.

Good evening everyone, My name is Emma and I am looking for some new people to play games with. I mainly game on PC but do occasionally dip onto XBOX or Playstation. I was a casual gamer when I was young until I played Final Fantasy series when I was 12. For many year after I loved the RPGs and joined a couple of MMO. Most of my gaming choices stemmed from games my brothers played (which I convinced them to let me join). I am currently jumping between games preferring open world sandbox games like Minecraft, 7 days to die and Satisfactory but have been known to play a few shooting games like Killing Floor. If AMD can match these cards that would be incredible, but it's a pretty tall order when the 3080 alone is almost double the performance of its predecessor. Will be very interesting. My 1080ti still rules, but it's good to know that when I upgrade it will be to something on another level. @Plumbers Crack great suggestion from @Diddumstry out one or more of the games he suggested and I'll jump on with you guys too!

After speaking to a few people here and recently buying GTA for Hamza @SyntaxMonstr, I think it's time to share and give a go to what I'd like to be called FG's Feel Good Fund after @crispymorgan great shout for a name (FGFGF. Snappy right? ). Objective is simple - To help out as many FGers as we can to make them 'Feel Good'. Surprises either go to people in need or someone we want to say thankyou or so we say 'Feel Good'. This is what we are the BEST at. This is why FG continues because its more than just a forum. Everyone member here knows that and we should continue doing this as much as we can. The part where its over to all of us is donations. I can ask at ad-hoc times in need or you can give regularly. Not everyone can give regularly or at all but if you can it would be amazing even if you give a few pounds or dollars. I would love to at some stage extend this to the running of FG however this is different. I will ask for help when the time is right separately as I want you to feel this is 100% Feel Good Money. I want to know your geniune honest thoughts on this. Good, bad or indifferent - I need to know. A couple of rules I will set out to start with. 1) If you want to give regularly, let me know and PM me. It is better to direct into account rather than paypal as we always lose a slight percentage for each donation. 2) no gift is too small. Even if you gave £1 or £2 I'm grateful. If we all did that each month we could give a game away each month. 3) If you donate and you want it towards someone or something specifically, please PM me. I don't want to 100% guarantee that it goes directly or not directly to someone, however your best intentions ALWAYS come first and I will communicate If its against your wishes. 4) If you have a suggestion for A Feel Good surprise please PM me. I will consult with other moderators to gain a consensus but ultimately I'll hold the final say. If you don't like this, speak up. If this picks up, I'll update it to a vote of trusted people. Ok for those of you new to the game and needing a little bit of help with game mechanics I thought I'd break down my favourite role. . . The tank. First and foremost this is not your typical mmo, there is no threat level for which to hold agro it is done by using taunting skills or certain weapons. Most taunting skills have a timer of 15 seconds this does not mean reapply after this time though YOU MUST do it again between 8-12 seconds. Too often you lose agro too late you lose it aswell so keep an eye on your timers. Primarily the tanks role is "do everything" you are the squads CC and damage mitigation machine. Once you get used to the games mechanics with bosses and range of allied buffs and enemy debuffs you can reach god tier status. My current build holds agro, does CC and chucks out AoE damage and heals. My health pool and resistance is still to be buffed but I take less damage when resing allies and can go full God mode because of my vamp ult. The tank is best practised stage by stage, firstly work on agro and facing enemies away from your team, then stack debuffs. If your being overwhelmed by aids your doing your job correctly. When in the centre of huge mob use a AoE stun or immobilizer that offers a synergy to provide a room broom effect. Remember you can get skills that buff your party but also heal you aswell, the healer will thank you for this as less babysitting will be required and they can focus on the DPS to keep them chucking out damage. You are the first and the last line of defense, you control the room and take everything on the chin do not be tempted to start attacking with lights constantly just weave in the odd heavy attack to regain resources between buffs/debuffs don't let your role slip away from you and your squad will slap most content right in the tits.

I think some of it is just rumours though some info is from leaks though they were correct about a lot of the 3000 series and some is from speculation due to the power of the next gen consoles which are amd powered. I’m hopeful but amd do have a habit of shooting themselves on the foot with gpu’s so we shall see.

The next horde night is upon us. Were on day 27 pm now I believe. Last I checked was last night. Thought we'd jump on when there are more people to prepare for the horde night. You can repair your armour at any merchant. As for the bossfights your team has to revive you for those if you go down. If the whole group dies you get the option to respawn yourself, but it also resets the boss hp to full
