Warzone Pacific Map

This is a great move which keeps Warzone really fresh as it probably needed a full map refresh now. I think the balance will be over time if they decide to rotate maps at some point alongside the multiple Gulag instances they have created too. I actually think gunplay in Warzone has been in a good spot for a while and there are multiple guns to pick up that will work very well so with everyone learning a new map coming up to Christmas time noobs to join too, it could be a great time for many to hop back on it again considering it remains free.

The shipwreck and the backdrop of the palm trees looks ace. Lets hope it plays out that way!

When it's released I will first see if I can download just Warzone and if I can I will check it out. But I'm not downloading an entire other game AND Warzone just to play it.

That's fair. I think people are quick to buy battle passes and i've noticed that playing Warzone without spending a penny lately has been largely fun, especially when a few others want to jump into a match with you.

I may give it ago although I hope this isn't the end of the original map.

I hope so too. Never understood why BR games force players on one map at a time. Sure, the playerbase could hate a map and then back out every time if it was in a rotation but surely that means you fix the map to make it better overall rathert than forget the old maps completely. Fingers crossed we see some form of rotation of both maps in a few months time.

I had a brief go at this earlier and it's not bad but I didn't feel I was truly having fun. Map does look pretty nice though but there's nothing new or revolutionary here. The main menu is absolutely plastered with customise this, customise that, buy COD points for this, buy COD points for that. Every screen I visited there was a pop up either about microtransactions or some customisation that would require COD points. Can see why they make so much money when people can literally one-click purchase anything that's on the screen whether they want it or not. It's not quite as bad as the NBA 2K titles which have now become virtual casinos with a basketball mini game attached and I know they have to make money but I just found the whole thing tacky.

I think I may just put COD on the backburner forever now. 6v6 is dead in the water and Warzone isn't going to improve or evolve so I'll happily not play it knowing I'm not missing out.

I've tried to have a few games last night and I think its the case of learning the key areas of the map first before I make an assessment. Removing all loadouts was an unwelcome surprise before playing our first games but it felt good to experience new places.

Guns felt abit over the place, although the BAR worked brilliantly for me. The SMG felt unstable as hell. My major thought was just how pale/beigy the colours were which made it difficult for me to spot and find most people that clearly know the map more than me already. I might see if Ican do anything with the contrast next time we jump on. Still, good games watching @jordie1892 , @Macca89  and @J-Lurch  do well 🤣 I think Tom @LordBaguette  found it pretty refreshing too.

We'll see how the coming weeks go as we get more used to the map and what areas not to get caught out wide in the open.

Completely forgot about that! Your right, random lag happened in our first match last night and it was incredibly bad. Looks like you need stabilising for a match or two when you get online.

I love a WW2 setting, regardless of how many times it has been done. The game is fun, and the new map looks pretty cool, but as Tom said it’s just too glitchy right now. The lag was ridiculous, and a few graphics glitches with guns etc need to be addressed before I obsess over it 😂

@GazzaGarratt I don't play Warzone , but if it's Integrated with Vanguard and there is Vanguard "settings" there is a lot of dogshit graphics and interface settings that change the game.

All the classics like motion blur and field of depth etc are turned on by default and affect vision especially at longer ranges.

Also Fidelitycas I recommend turning on as it enhances sharpening and it's night and day at long distances. Also on demand texture streaming I recommend turning off as it causes more lag.

There are various other things. I think you need to tinker with settings more.

As a rule of thumb adjust contrast and brightness on your TV rather than game settings it just is better mate.
