  1. Someone say Monzo? 😄
  2. Get in there!! We've been waiting for one of these games in the other thread about remaking some older games. And the great news that it looks completely new too. Like you say @J4MES OX4D, we'll have to wait and see what happens because there isn't any date confirmed 2024 just yet. Fingers and toes crossed.
  3. 29th February 2024! This game looks bloody fantastic and I think i'll have to try it out, regardless if the style of battle is not my preferred approach. There are so many updates to the world, including the chocobo races, minigames, etc that really makes it feel a super large value game - similar to the first one all those years ago.
  4. Blight Survival sounds cool, especially with the co-op survival aspect. Hoping that it has some special quests to go chase.
  5. Makes me want to get an Xbox Series @Riff Machine . Just to chill out on the sofa and play a game that just sounds hilarious and feels great. Did you play it on Xbox or with an Elite Controller on your PC?
  6. I think La @RenFengge used to rave about this game and hoped it had a sequel!
  7. Great night @phil bottle and @Luseth. Really enjoyed chilling out on it and then working out a way to do it next time round. A fourth person will totally help for sure but I hope even more get it. Reminds me a little but of heists on GTA we used to do but probably slightly better as its FPS and different ways you can do each mission. I hated the ironsights initially on the CAR-4 AR you get as I couldn't really see where I was aiming but we soon worked out, the cash you get from doing a job, you can spend on upgrading and customising weapons. Red Dot sight for £10k wasn't too bad and significantly changed my shooting. And yes, Pink coloured guns are available for a small fee, aren't they Matt? 🤣 15-20ish minutes per job so far it feels like. I think thats pretty decent timing. Not even sure how many jobs are in the game but given its £35, I don't think they'll be millions initially. Oh, and we all went full throttle on testing crossplay! Me on PS5, Phil on PC and Matt and Xbox. We used Discord for chat through each device and its worked great! Funny how its been around for ages but I know many of us just haven't really needed to use it much, so its good to know everything was all good and worked a treat.
  8. He has to retire at some point I guess! Difficult to know right now what it will do to PlayStation for the future but I wouldn't expect this to change anything much in the short to medium term. He has overseen some almighty years and pulled them back from the brink when the original Xbox and Xbox 360 took control of the market.
  9. Thats class @Greboth! Annoyingly for us, like GT, you still haven't lost it 😄
  10. Picked this up so I thought we could give it a go with anyone that has got it. Try out crossplay if we can and if so, use Discord to pop into a chat I imagine?
  11. Looks like fun, nice find Chad @Riff Machine ! I was only a little worried when it looked like 4 players max, but it seems its 8 max in a lobby which is a great size for party games. Unfortunately Xbox and PC just at the moment. They want to bring it to PlayStation but I imagine some hoops to go through with Xbox on their exclusivity.
  12. Me too tbh! I think its more about how creative they can be with physical items moving forward - could even see the reintroduction of the cardboard SNES and N64 boxes perhaps?
  13. I have a meeting later so will probably on for a late race tonight. Hopefully only this Tuesday so won't impact future ones! Monza for me please if/when I make it! 😄
  14. Damage is done now though. I saw Terraria plough 100k donations into new developer engines as an act to get behind other smaller engines. Trust is so vital these days and can really grab more sales than these big corporate companies realise.
  15. What I'm still mulling over is this strange concept that they follow - they all fundamentally agree that console gaming is the place that you need to keep producing games and the biggest market that will keep them ahead of the pack - and to do this they create physical consoles. However, games then go digitally and no physical games to coincide with this? I think they forget the concept of surprises, birthdays, Christmas, presents, anniversaries, special editions, unique items....they all are catalysts for games to be bought and 8/10 times, these work because they are tangible - something you can touch. I still think the retro scene would be booming right now if people wanted to make games for more simplistic consoles. I imagine most of the sales won't change too much until the world comes out of the cost of living crisis.
  16. Has anyone tried whatever this update brought into the game at all?
  17. I've seen the server issues too, mainly impacting joining together so I'm glad we didn't try this at any point last week! I've picked it up on PS5 so I'll get it installed and see how it plays.
  18. I think so @J4MES OX4D! Having said that, my son is absolutely loving it. The game looks incredible on PS5 and the fatalities are incredibly thought out. The kameo system is different, I'll have to ask him how he feels about it but younger folk are more used to this tag-team type of battles like other fighting games have got. I need to see more myself about the career mode and if it has something equivalent to the Krypt.
  19. Did not expect this. If there even was a slither of this potentially happening, doubt it ever will now its out there for the world to see their plan: https://x.com/tomwarren/status/1704021807341203802?s=20 I think its no secret that if Nintendo sold some or all of their first party titles to other platforms they would make a killing - but thats just not their business model. The Switch sales alone justify their model and why it is so successful as they keep themselves so self-contained. Shame there isn't much in it about how they could make them better, just all about all the money and benefit to own the asset outright.
  20. Its only £35 pre-order so this is getting bought all day long. Looking really good in the gameplay videos too. Who wants in?!
  21. Brighton for the top 4 anyone? I think we're moving to a new era where its not about the 'Big 6' anymore, which I think is great news overall.
  22. Nice touch adding DLC to a remaster. Did they say how much it was?
  23. They had to reverse this insane change eventually. Literally would've killed so many indie devs and they've now probably hurt themselves in the long term with many devs already coming out to say they are switching engines. Certainly don't blame them. What a load of planks they are.
  24. @LordBaguette @Macca89 @Antpool84 imagine some of you will get this. Expecting it to be better than the first?
  25. If its priced at the right amount, which should be £20-25 then people will buy it to experience that feeling again due to not having that console of choice any longer. If you've played it before then I'd agree on getting the cash - you would give it away for next to nothing for original owners if you could. Whilst gameplay might, there are some old games, like this one, that has some unique challenges that people who didn't play Tomb Raider back in the day could find fun to play. Especially ones that can't afford full priced games. Still think you're right on the other part though lol. The old Tomb Raider games will still sit in my fun zone so I won't be dissing the gameplay on it.
