  1. @crispymorgan @crippled_viper @JBR-Kiwi @Misneach_ @Mikepjbell @Bluebear @TurboR56Mini @Macca89 @G_dub52 @Luseth putting you all on notice to look out for events in September. Get your arses available for some of these race nights.
  2. @phil bottle, I suggest we go for something in September and see how it goes. I would love us to try a Tuesday and then a Saturday perhaps through Septmeber, so we get to see who actually can make different days. 4 different dates for 4 different weeks I was thinking? @Lurchzy was helping get some pics for the events and I'll start nudging more GTers to get their asses back in the swing of this. 👊
  3. Always the basic package for me as I just need to be online to play with all you lot. It used to be the same years ago when the subscription service started on Xbox to allow online functions. I don't really agree with any subscription service just to play the same game you've bought online but I suppose it pays for maintenance and i expect it up 365 days a year, 24/7. The ps plus monthly games are always an additional bonus, abit like if you get a bonus at work. You hope to get a big one / good game, but you can't guarantee anything happeneing. We've had some incredible games that have lasted a long time via PS Plus so its not all bad. We just live in an era that that we are kind of bound to it now just to play online, so 98% of people will just accept it and move on gaming as per usual. I only still don't touch Gamepass on Microsoft because games come and go off there. When I get a game I want it to be owned and mine whenever i want to play it. Helpful for demos or early access games I would appreciate.
  4. We'll be fine was my usual positive jokey way of saying they'll do well for us still. Henderson doesn't have a starting position now anyway but great utility to come on and do the job we need in certain games. Harry I think is pretty much on his last life with Gareth. Easy for me to say that but if he makes one mistake in an England jersey when not playing for his club even Gareth knows it will be hard to pick him. Having said that, one of his best players and not the reason why we lost the Euros. Penalty lottery was just hard to take.
  5. JDT wanted 10 in the post match interview lol. Great academy, hope it can finally bounce us back up soon. We'll be fine 😉 #Believe
  6. Thats the same in mine. Heard a few with heat issues over time and didn't really want that with my PS5 if I'm honest.
  7. PC or Playstation version? Would the PS version be any less worthy than the master race one?
  8. Exactly what I did! Ha! 😄 I'm trying to look into how my gaming pattern will take me in the next few months as I want this to be a part of it. I'd love to see news about different elements of the game as people start to play it as I hope it can match that social Destiny vibe because more games should have that feeling.
  9. Yep, if we can sidestep the politics, there's some good financial advice about generally helping yourself here. I know Elliott was trying to help people understand the financial side of this post way more than the other bit. My own experience from my job but also my own life growing up tells me that money will always revolves around 'priorities'. That's where most of us differ because we ultimately see different things in life more or less important than the next thing. You'd be so surprised that how many people out there have a mortgage but don't see it as the highest, top priority to pay. If you don't pay that, you would end up not having a roof over your head or your family. I tend to separate the absolute must direct debits out, get them as cheap as you can but then make sure they're always paid no matter what. Everything else then is optional...but clearly then self-control is needed if you want to start saving alongside spending. There's something about routines in this somewhere. The more regular you can save on a consistent basis means you will also having a spending pattern to match it. Monzo is awesome btw. Functionality is amazing in their app.
  10. Get in! Superb game. Defined this genre all those years ago and I'll happily spunk money on Monkey Island. Trailer below
  11. I'll be having to think how and when I can get to play this once I'm back from holiday. In separate news, just saw this on Twitter/X to help some Series S users with the game on Baldurs Gate so I'd think they'd be working ways to improve Starfield too on the S over time.
  12. Gorgeously gross. I think as much as the review is hoping for more enemy types, sometimes a simplistic all out cluster warfest game with basic actions that are satisfying is all you need. Another one to add onto the wishlist.
  13. I still need to go back and play that one. Is it connected to MW2s?
  14. Spurs looked great. I agree with @Lurchzy though that you need a striker still. Long season to go. Rovers need a striker too. Feels like most teams do and thats strange as they seem to be a rare commodity through the PL and Championship. Gutted for England Women but as you say, the right better team won on the day. We couldn't really create anything which was a shame. I was actually surprised with the squad depleted so much from injuries that we got so far. Shows how much depth their is in English Women football already.
  15. Superb review @Luseth, really enjoyed reading that. I think I'm lucky I have my PC in a place where I don't feel I need an alternative to just sit on the couch with. They do interest me though if I ever felt like I wanted to play a certain game on holidays, etc. I think Nintendos offering just is in a different space, mainly due to the unique games they create. They have a market that people will tap into alongside the PC and console market, which is a great space to be in. Its a shame their Labo stuff didn't take off.
  16. After playing Oblivion for hours on end and not finishing it as I got a little bored of all the detail, and that it was single player you can probably see why I didn't go near Skyrim! That game happened in my 7 year cebatical of games, and depressingly I found this place 😅 Maybe one day Skyrim....but for now I'll have to play Starfield with FG fwends! 😍
  17. I'll likely play the campaign again as MW2 campaign was great.
  18. Happy birthday Matt! @Luseth
  19. I just don't think I can even work out what the first 10 games will look like in the Championship. So many teams all over the shop, so many results already gone strange ways. Its definitely going to be a long season...but hopefully more enjoyable than not!
  20. Looking forward to this, especially now they have crossplay. Really loving the way you can interact with so much stuff.
  21. We watched Barbie the other week. I thought it would be funnier than expected, but it wasn't. More thought provoking which I felt wasn't clear from all the headlines beforehand. Having said that, Ryan Gosling as Ken was class, he played it brilliantly. Will Ferrell always is a joy to see with his cameos in films. I can't seem to categorise into one single genre either. Just really stands out on its own with music, plot, characters, twists, etc.
  22. I'm not sure what to think of it still. On current video looks it seems okay, maybe a little dated in spots, but gameplay could be highly rewarding if you enjoy Dark Souls, Blodborne, Elden Ring, etc. I don't think i'd pay full price on it unless someone here bought it and geniunely felt it was worth the price.
  23. Tried to go back to this slowly over the past week. Its just mostly rythmn to get back to where I usually land which is high gold and into Platinum. I'm sure when we were playing it regular I hit low Diamond but regular games need to happen otherwise you lose that judgement skill, especially on high balls. @crippled_viper Matt, I can add you to the clan we made on there whenever we get on it together. It doesn't do much as far as i'm aware but when you're joined up it can put you all in Home or Away colours when you play against another clan which is pretty cool.
  24. I would've preferred it to be a DLC ontop of MW2 due to how solid this last game has been. But businesses need to make money and I think they struggle to understand how to make a regular incremental expanding game in the CoD experience. I think their work on Warzone, to DMZ to Raids has actually been a really good progression but doesn't see much positive news because it has an opposite player base to something like Destiny, which is mostly PvE. CoD has far more PvP players so we have to remember that with PvP games it is very hard to add regular content that could make it really enticing to keep on it. Having said that, give PvP players a game which feels balanced, fun and lots of gun/gamemodes to play and they'll just play it for eternity. Give it 4-5 years we may see the CoD ecosystem move towards the base F2P as it is now, enhance it, and then these additional campaigns with some PvP wrapped up in it become seasonal paid upgrades.
  25. They released their stripped down version of some PvE missions this past week. Early reviews and gameplay shows its just exactly like the missions we've had already for the past 6 years. Such a shame as I still think they had scope to carry on with the PvE side, even if we had to wait a further year or two.
