  1. 🤣🤣 This is why I love you ❤️ The good thing on this conversation is I can geniunely say I very much disliked PlayStation when the Xbox came out and really wanted to stay on that side of things forever. I was completely devastated when they ruined their far away lead with the Xbox One and never thought I'd own a PS4. Weird how things work out now after all this time. I'm pretty confident Xbox will come good once again but just not yet; probably at least 2-3 years methinks because its always about the games and friends that can play those games. Thats understandable and would agree that on some I don't have much to offer other than 'it looks decent' because its so early. But I do enjoy seeing other peoples thoughts here than anywhere else. I can get hyped just by other FGers being excited for something to come out and its probably how I ended up on many games over the past years rather than me seeing it and just wanting it straight off the bat. Good, I LOVE being a big kid 😁 and you wouldn't enjoy me being a responsible adult either 😎 Out of it all though, I really hope you can get into Marathon. I loved those early days when people talked about Destiny and worked out what to expect and what would they hope to see/enjoy in the game. Thats the one for me out of them all that blows the rest of the previews of the water this early.
  2. This comes out for Xbox and PS5 so assume PC too. Looks like an upgrade to the first game in visuals and much more of the same FPS slash techniques like in the first one. Out this year at some point, I can't give much more opinion to it tbh right now as I didn't play the first one. Ngl, it is aesthetically pleasing but hope the gameplay mechanics feel that smooth when playing it. Thoughts everyone?
  3. I suppose it depends on where your expectations were beforehand to whether or not you get over, under or just whelmed 😄 I went in not expecting a world of games because lets face it, even though we're 3 years into a new generation, it stills feels early as the game developing world just wasn't ready for it. I would say next years list of games for back end of 2024 and 2025 should be seriously pushing some of the limits we've already seen. But given that was my stance, and then seeing multiple games showing off some colourful and graphically pleasing FPS games, I think it was a solid presentation. Not amazeballs granted, but enough in there way above what Microsoft and other places have shown this year. I realise more and more everyday that its all about where your mindset is when these things get dropped nowadays.
  4. From EA Originals (so you know, brace yourself 😄) a new single player, FPS. The developers have made Dead Space remake though and that has had rave reviews, so it could be a potential hit and there is some vibrant gameplay on the trailer below. Out on July 20th 2023, I imagine on all platforms as its from EA. Thoughts everyone?
  5. Another game that's been revealed from the 2023 Playstation Showcase. We should probably call this Starship Troopers really shouldn't we? 😎 First one was an underrated third party game from what I recall and this looks like they wanting to build hard on that success. Coming to PS5 and PC. Thoughts everyone?

    Marathon

The brand new game coming from Bungie. For me it was the standout trailer based on looks and idealogy of what they are trying to create. Whats even better is that Bungie released a ViDoc separately which explains shows some more insight into the game. Clearly, I'll give Bungie a lot more time personally because they've become one of the more transparent game developers out there and have been the most consisitent in the past 6-7 years. This looks very different to what they've done before but must be taking some ideas from where Escape from Tarkov has changed the PvP gaming space. Some great people involved in that ViDoc that brought the best years to Destiny and Halo. I'm pretty sure I'll be seeing this game and convos gather interest here just like CoD and Destiny has in the past. Thoughts everyone?
  7. Jesus its bad. Like 6 feet under bad for that amount of money.
  8. After writing my thoughts, just listened to the first minute of this guy and i have no idea how he could see the view that Phil Spencer from Xbox is gassed about that. Especially when we saw their presentations on Redfall and literally one game called Starfield that has to hit otherwise they haven't had a hit in current or last gen consoles at all. Such a strange guy. Oh, and I also didn't get the anticipation next sentence he then said - they literally told us days ago it was happening, not weeks and months in advance so hype would be pitched accordingly. Odd take from MrMattyPlays there.
  9. I'm literally putting some time aside now to put up each game in its own thread - I actually thought it was pretty decent tbh. At a time where the gaming world isn't looking overly great right now at all, they showed some really solid AAA titles and some good looking third party titles too. It would've been nice for maybe one or two more on the list but isn't that every show? I've been feeling very distant with how games have been and I can only speak for myself for when I say that after watching all those games and previews come in, I felt somewhat better for the coming 18 months in games. Especially on PlayStation anyway because Xbox haven't done anything to give me that feeling recently.
  10. I'm with you in all honesty as my twitch and remembering skills are fading fast so it just turns into button mashing most of the time!...however MK12 was one of the first games I genuinely felt like the moves were so smooth and easier to execute that I really enjoyed playing some of the rounds with my son. Nothing like the super hard Fatality instructions you had to follow in the first MK games years and years ago.
  11. until

Hoping to be on, just the house stuff we've got going on doesn't stop giving!!
  12. Nice collateral in the middle of that clip Kenny @IRaMPaGe 😎
  13. Looks pretty cool Brede, but without me playing it I don't see what the mods are? Are they all brand new bosses with new mechanics @NCA-Paendrag??
  14. Anyone played Revelations Co-op? Its a great experience which feels slightly different to the rest due to the co-op gameplay. Shortish games but well worth a go. Not saying they can make top 5 but maybe if people want to jump in together for a few tries it may feel like it could be close to number 5 at least.
  15. I agree with your point James, I just didn't see any that did give performance related enhancements. Ironically, the purple Ronald McDonalad outfit we've played against of late just makes you find them quicker and want to shoot that guy more than anyone else! 🤣🤣
  16. I dug out and quickly watched abit Wrestlemania again because of the updates on this thread. The music was so catchy too, I still think I'd play this every now and again for the feels. I also played WWF Warzone to death. That was huge back on the PS1 days and set up the Smackdown era nicely.
  17. I'm not either Tommy, but it really made me feel like I wanted to pick it up. My son got into MK11 a hell of a lot and then played MK10 because of it. If it follows a similar combo and styling in MK11 I'd be really happy with that. I loved teh Crypt side of things where you had to go and find stuff to open and problems to solve that gave you more skins and customisable options for your fighters. You should give MK11 a go, it is probably dirt cheap now and the depth of the game is really there.
  18. Welcome to FG @Sir.Arthur! Hope you've enjoyed coming here so far....great to see you get involved already in some threads too! We need some more love for the retro side of things. Were you a Sega or Nintendo fan then? Don't worry, I won't hold it against you if you like Nintendo...much 😄 Hopefully catch you in some discussions soon, until then though, I hope you really enjoy your stay at FG 😎 As Kenny @IRaMPaGe says, we really are the best gaming place on the interwebz (clearly not a biased statement at all....) 19. Get yourself on one weekend mate. I've tried it now a few weeks ago with Carl and Jon and I must say it was starting to get addictive at one stage, only when I learned how a few things worked though. It helps that @TurboR56Mini and @Tar-Eruntalion have amassed some resurces already because for a first go, you kind of need certain materials to start creating some stuff so you can get a hang of it. I think the ladders and how you traverse some cliffs need a little work and the enemies that you sometimes come across are quite random and strange (not sure what their purpose are) but the building is definitely something to keep exploring.
  20. Loved Outtrigger. Music is awesome.
  21. Understandably it doesn't sound very warm and friendly but the counter argument back would be if you were in charge of a F2P section, why on earth should I feel like i have to do that? Skins are chargeable as they are cosmetic add-ons, just like us buying specific clothes to wear IRL. If you choose to buy a skin making you look like Ronald McDonald in fluorescent purple, thats on you, not on them. I don't do skins, and most just look like crap, but if we were being totally honest, i'm sure if a cool ass skin came along that hit your sweet spot on what you want to look like you can't deny you wouldn't be tempted. Sometimes I think where game companies could help us be more transparent is how much of those skin profits go towards new content or new development for things in game. Bungie tried to share that some years ago and explained why a skin on a gun was quite expensive because they could then put that money into 1 new gun. If there was more kind of raising funds for specific content, I would actually think you'd see even more skins sold. It helps sometimes to appreciate both sides of the coin. I don't disagree with the snetiments people are sharing here actually, but I would say the gaming world are sometimes too quick to respond before rationally understanding why stuff happens in the world of games.
  22. Insane result for Sheff Weds. Peterborough have a good setup so I still think they'll be in and around playoffs or maybe an automatic spot next season. That's momentum for you. Emotionally, Coventry play like Germany when there in playoffs. Other teams just seem to panic and get scared but fair play to them, they've got enough points, put the ball in the net so deserve to be there. It doiesn't matter that either team will struggle - its more about getting that money to start bank rolling the team to yoyo for abit until they can sustain a PL place for years to come. People say its not about the parachute payments cos these 2 haven't got it, but this final is a rarity to see and i don't think the Championship will be as wide open in the playoffs for a while again like it was this season. I'd rather you didn't....knock-on effect might mean Feyenoord legend Jon Dahl Tomasson could be wanted so we get robbed of our manager. Awesome. Gary Neville called it some months back. Not everything he says is right but his reasoning for this happening was fair. It feels like a bottle job, but the real reasoning is that squad in depth that City have compared to Arsenal is just incomparable. When Arsenal needed fresh legs in this last few games they didn't have it, putting more pressure on the existing squad. Coming 2nd is still huge for Arsenal, but I get why you'd be gutted if you had that position with 5-10 games to go.
  23. I'd agree that it is a very good mode that not as many people here play but I think alot of that has to do with the max party size of 3 if I'm honest. I go and play it sometimes when i jump online and only 2 or 3 jump straight into a party....but 2 mins later we usually hit 4 or more players so MP then is the way to go. Considering they allow 6 players to group together when you are on the map itself, it would be nice to see if they could allow a mode with larger squads. It would open up possibilities for more players to jump into together when theres 4-6 around. I'm sure they'll build on it more so because they've built it into the F2P side of things too.
  24. Literally just dropped! Absolutely loving the new look. September 19th this year release date! Surely we're going to see some superb fatalities in this one. Thoughts?
  25. Thanks for sharing @J4MES OX4D. I'd agree this seems a good approach. I may try more games if this was the case too as PC games are so saturated that I never know whether to pick one up or not.
