Second update is on Health vs Stamina

Thought i would collate push out a separate thread with the updates coming as Iron Gate have made some videos about how things will slightly change to help playstyles and other things. I'm mostly looking forward to the new things we can create and build so hoping it will help our FG world that is already huge as it is! First video is the New Food System. The videos seem to be only a minute long so nice and quick to understand and pick up.

This has been a great thread. I need to do a breakdown for future updates and how much it costs so it will help you and others decide what to do. I would've also said its never too late because of how they've made the game now. I think they know players (the vast majority which are core to casual) dont want to just play this exclusively so they give enough content each week available to play so a few times a week feels absolutely perfect now. You can play even more but then thats down to what you want to achieve. They are finally reaping rewards of moving to a better underlying code so changes and hotcakes can happen much quicker. The story needs a better way for people like yourself to understand the past better but once you get up to speed the story is actually the best its ever been. I have the books (they are awesome) - its the only books I read but it isn't like a story as there are many facts and cryptic elements in it that make things a little difficult to visualise it all. I'll find the best video from MyNameIsByf about the backstop on Destiny. The grind was one of the things stopping everyone play this. Now they've tinkered the levelling and made all seasons available for at least a year rather than just that season means you can play for however much you want, which in turn you see more people on all the time. Finally, crossplay should really mean we can finally all truly help each other. I don't think there's even been a better time to either start or cone back to the game. The combination of the game's state, upcoming content known for the next 3+years and the way that FG people are helping out everyone now, its the best its ever been.

Feb is going to be a good month next year then! Great stuff its not too far away.

I don't know why they'd make it a standalone release either, unless they flesh it out way more than it is already. Granted though, its a fantastic co-op game mode and really enjoyable if you get time to play with mates on it.

A space motorcycle?! That does look insane. Funny how it hovered in the sky when he got off and left the engine on 😄 So essentially you could get a monster spaceship and store this motorcycle on it yeah?

England Squad for the 3 September Qualifiers: First call up for Patrick Bamford with Mason Greenwood just missing out although Gareth Southgate has confirmed his form is good enough to be in the squad but allowing him to progress further with Man Utd for the meantime. I didn't expect many changes in the squad tbh, based on their performances at the Euros.

That's really good to know, cheers for that. 5 years should mean at least it should be half decent. I recently logged all my games down and found so many football game variations that weren't FIFA or PES so its nice to see another into the market finally. I really hope there's many licenced clubs as gamers are a fickle bunch and it will impact the game if they haven't got many clubs full names, etc. I'm gonna check the interwebz too to see if we can find anything else online and share here!

FFS. Can't even buy the Gold Edition as a physical edition which is bullshit. Fucking EA are really trying to wind me up of late.

This is a great help to know its really easy for the future - but i'd still stick to my opinion for now, mainly down to cost alone. A Seagate 4TB external hard drive (sponsored by PlayStation) is £75, whereas a 4TB SSD is £500. Yes, £500. Even if you want just a small upgrade like 1TB, that still would cost £150 whereas the cheapest external 1TB you can get to work with a playstation is £38. Until the market is saturated with many AAA PS5 games, I'm really not sure it is needed yet. We need to get to the stage where SSD is available for less than 3 figures before using methinks.

Not in any order tips - and I completely agree with the NEVER to use standby option. It messes up with WiFi connections too when switched back on. Buy an external hard drive if you don't already - you store all your PS4 games on that and leave the few PS5 games you play on the internal. I'm not even looking at the SSD ones they will be compatible with soon as the prices are ridiculous. Unfortunately the internal storage is still far too small for days like these. Search the store for free PS5 upgrades - Mainly, the only way to see if a game you own and is installed as a free upgrade is via the store. Games like Destiny 2, Rainbow 6 and Valhalla have free upgrades - the full current list is here >> PS5 upgrades. The upgrades help visually but I think they are way worth it more for loading times more than anything else. Oh, and the Haptic Feedback in the controller too if it has that upgrade included! Recording voice chat for everyone - theres more places annoyingly you can mute yourself by accident on recordings or just in chat. Be careful on the controller as the small button that mutes your voice is easily pressed and superceds your own mic mute. Check settings to ensure voice is shared and also check when in a party that your voice is set to Always Allow on sharing. We miss so many funny moments cos we can't hear everyones voices. Saving screenshots and videos is now a couple of clicks - its very slick but a subtle change is being quick with the share button on teh controller and selecting then what you want to do. You can on teh fly save a 'quick video' and it offers to save last 30 seconds, 5 mins, 15 mins and so on rather than the last video which is as standard set to 60 mins. Favourite all your 'parties' - Especially all the FG ones! The friends screen defaults to parties and its quicker to see if someone is on mic in one. You can also now slice and dice what you mute....hence now no need to leave a party if you find people are sending messages into a huge party that has loads of us in! Inviting/Join people to games is done via party menu - Press PS button brings up the card view. You can then press on the names and invite to game straight via that way - and joinign can be quick that way too. Auto updates to games works better....for recent games - All the games you've recently played (left to right on the main menu) should auto check for updates every time you turn on the PS5. If you need a game updated from your library that has dropped off the recent list, i'd always suggest clicking Options and checking for Game Updates. Better than PS4 but sometimes can be a pain still but thats the world we live in now. Checking you open the right Game version - If you have the PS4 and PS5 version installed, before you start the game, press the Option button and 'Check Game Version'. Whichever is ticked will be the default one that opens for you every time. Some upgrades don't need teh disc to be in anymore! - Destiny 2 and Wreckfest PS5 versions don't need the disc to be in which is pretty decent tbh! If theres more i'll come back and share!
