So yeah, of course I picked this game up, inevitable. It's an excellent game, or it will be with some tweaks and bug fixes. Some things, like the inventory, crafting and building is overly complicated, which takes some getting used to. But most mechanics and UI are smooth. It also looks great. I don't expect to play too much for now but I'll be keeping an eye on development, and if anyone else picks it up let me know.2 points -

The thing that did me in the intro bit is that I walked through a car park past a load of cars, into a complex, went into a lift and up a few floors, picked up a key and then came back down in the lift and back out of the complex and then back to the cars I'd just walked past. I did nothing else at all there. It was just a totally pointless 5 minutes of walking around.2 points -

Monday Night Football Match Report - 20th February 2023 - FGFC
Findmartin reacted to GazzaGarratt for an article
A testing Monday last week as FGFC really struggled to get going and as we know in Division 1, there isn't much room for horrible results, so by the end of the night it was great to see us all pull through to save relegation in the final game of the Season (much to the modest joy of @Findmartin). The night started with a close 3-2 loss which isn't unusual as everyone started to get their Monday Night Football juices flowing, although it went from bad to worse as Public Enemies wiped the floor with FGFC 5-0 straight afterwards. We thought we stopped the rot with a quickfire 4-0 against SS Dux, Dennis Rodman @Neatstorm on form with his usual moneyshot headers. More drama unfolded as Micky Red smashed 6 past the lacklustre FG defence. It really felt like the FIFA Script was setting in full flow for the whole night as some comical errors and horrible AI mishaps kept ended up in goals against us. It was that bad at one stage, the pressure got too much for Maccaroon @Macca89 and he pulled a few CBAs that you'd usually expect from Gary Goals @LordBaguette. 2 battling draws finally stopped the rot, the latter with a full end to end ding dong against FC Eckerngrade. Pat De Groyne @jordie1892 scoring a silky finish with 10 minutes to go from a lovely team passing move. Working so hard against 'The Script' 😅, it was still only 2 points so needing 3 wins from 3 the focus was fully on FGFC to try and turn it around - and indeed we did. 10 goals over 3 games secured a fantastic end to Season 11, and an array of lovely finishes from @LordBaguette and @Luseth as the games went on. It should be pointed out that some well fought Gail Cleansheets were secured through the night @Antpool84, @GazzaGarratt and @Findmartin picking up 2 each at their respective full back positions. Season 12 has been set up intensely with a win and a loss coming at the closing stages of the evening....good job the end positioning doesn't take into account goal difference 😅1 point -

A solid state HD should consume very little power, therefore a Heatsink is just a money grab that seems unnecessary to me.1 point -

Great recap again Lee! Always fun to see back all of the funny moments and great goals we scored. Was a difficult outing last week but I hope we can bring that same momentum we had during the final few games with us tonight! Up the FG! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐1 point -

This game came out a month ago on Steam and has earned a 99% overwhelmingly positive score across over 7,000 reviews and is regarded by critics as one of the best modern platformers ever created. Costs about £16-$20 and has been in development since around 2018. Feels like it's gone under the radar a bit but is gradually blowing up in popularity now after a few big releases have passed. I'm very tempted to pick this up soon1 point -

Yeah, I uninstalled the PC version but kept it on Xbox in case I feel like returning. Just doesn't grab me. For all the apparent inventiveness the game doesn't seem to have its own personality.1 point -
After the success of the previous real life mini meet-up at Boom Battle Bar 🎯🍺, I thought it would be a good idea to get another meet-up going (although this time maybe it'll be a bit quieter). There has been an idea floating around for a while now to get a board games night going and I thought it'd be a great opportunity to get a few of us back together to enjoy a different type of gaming that doesn't include screens. For board games we have @GazzaGarratt's Football Manager and a few different selections from @Stretch616 . That is if they're both still up for it 👍. Now it's just deciding a date and place 😂. If anybody has any good suggestions and would be interested in participating please leave a comment and I'm sure we'll figure something out!1 point

Yeah, I've been having a hard time getting into this game. Every few minutes they throw an unskippable, unplayable cut scene that just takes me right out of it. All the beauty bits in Bioshock or Bioshock infinite had a charm about them that made you want to keep moving. Due to my previous mention about the lack of Russian accents, and honestly some really cringe-worthy voice acting, this is lacking the charm to keep me interested. I think I may shelf this and come back at a later date.1 point -

The SMGs in this game are fantastic I’m not usually a fan of SMGs in COD I used to find they ran through their bullets too quickly and had very difficult recoil, but I’m not finding that in this game and in many instances I’m preferring them over ARs especially with the maps being more close quarters1 point -

GazzaGarratt reacted to IRaMPaGe for a topic
Yeah unfortunately there wasn't too much range and choice and what we had was mostly bulk of the same. People have just been clearing what we had and very quickly. I haven't seen any games or anything since last week. I was just incredibly lucky working there and asking someone who has access and knowledge of the secure bond, were theuused to be stored. I can't imagine anything else will comeback in as they have been slowly phasing the gaming section for quite some time now. I did ask the lad today when I was in if there was any other games through the back, but sadly he hadn't seen anything. Most of the stock we had was probably bought by greedy folk, buying multiples and relisting them on ebay or taking them to CeX and selling for purely profit. They probably whipped round all the Tesco's around and rinsed the stock. I would like to think some young kids got something decent. Maybe their parents don't have much money. I like to think about these things positively, in this sometimes grim world where everyone is looking to cash in on any opportunity.1 point -
