  1. Some great football and banter across last Sunday and Monday. Some fantastic goals scored too...don't think i've scored a screamer off the wrong foot like that in, well, ever πŸ˜… Torpedo Tony played incredible on MNF and racked up 4 well deserved goals in the process. James managed to grab 17 goals over the weekend, despite thinking he was playing crap and also had an added bonus of pissing of @jordie1892 who will forever nopt be able to score his maiden hattrick in the new stat era πŸ˜„ Monday was topped off by also securing the Division 3 title once more, and the first time @Antpool84 , @J-Lurch and @TonyAE86 has picked it up. Let's get Division 2 next week FGFC! Total current stats are below. @Macca89 has surpassed 100 assists already, a truly incredible tally so far with @J-Lurch and @JamaicanSteve closing in on 100 goals. @TonyAE86 is now onlty 2 appearances away from racking up a century for FGFC. .tg {border-collapse:collapse;border-spacing:0;} .tg td{border-color:black;border-style:solid;border-width:1px;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;font-size:14px; overflow:hidden;padding:10px 5px;word-break:normal;} .tg th{border-color:black;border-style:solid;border-width:1px;font-family:Arial, sans-serif;font-size:14px; font-weight:normal;overflow:hidden;padding:10px 5px;word-break:normal;} .tg .tg-4ki2{background-color:#fe0000;font-weight:bold;text-align:center;vertical-align:middle} .tg .tg-nrix{text-align:center;vertical-align:middle} .tg-sort-header::-moz-selection{background:0 0} .tg-sort-header::selection{background:0 0}.tg-sort-header{cursor:pointer} .tg-sort-header:after{content:'';float:right;margin-top:7px;border-width:0 5px 5px;border-style:solid; border-color:#404040 transparent;visibility:hidden} .tg-sort-header:hover:after{visibility:visible} .tg-sort-asc:after,.tg-sort-asc:hover:after,.tg-sort-desc:after{visibility:visible;opacity:.4} .tg-sort-desc:after{border-bottom:none;border-width:5px 5px 0}@media screen and (max-width: 767px) {.tg {width: auto !important;}.tg col {width: auto !important;}.tg-wrap {overflow-x: auto;-webkit-overflow-scrolling: touch;}} Names Apps Goals Assists Hat- tricks Clean Sheets PotM @Antpool84 122 29 11 2 2 0 @Ajay 36 6 3 0 4 1 @TheMuggySpud 0 0 0 0 0 0 @JamaicanSteve 137 84 39 1 0 5 @Dan94 0 0 0 0 0 0 @G_dub52 56 11 6 0 0 1 @J-Lurch 166 86 42 3 7 16 @jordie1892 154 70 61 0 8 14 @GazzaGarratt 189 28 52 0 7 2 @Macca89 170 63 106 1 2 5 @Findmartin 103 20 11 1 6 1 @tronic44 0 0 0 0 0 0 @Stretch616 0 0 0 0 0 0 @Tadnothad 0 0 0 0 0 0 @LordBaguette 162 53 41 0 1 2 @TonyAE86 98 14 10 0 2 2 Here's also the highlights from across both evenings wrapped in one video:

  4. i am glad johnny depp got justice for all he went though and i hope they both can move on from this, but that statement after the verdict from heard was infuriating, how does it hurt other women's rights etc when you lie, destroy a man's life and then lose when your lies etc are exposed to the public? all in all, from what little i saw damn they both have issues, especially heard

  5. I’ve watched all of the case from the start. It’s clear they both have demons and both have their issues they need to get professional help for. Johnny knows and acknowledges this and has been trying which I believe. Amber too obviously has issues that need sorting. They both were toxic within the relationship and the trial proved this. Did Johnny abuse Amber? Yes he did, but not physically and sexually as she claims, he abused her mentally with words. Did Amber abuse Johnny? Yes but she did it physically as well as mentally… I truly think Johnny isn’t even bothered by the money and probably won’t even chase her for it but will instead use this win as a chance to finally move on from her… And to be fair all she has to do is pledge to pay him right?? After all if she pledges it that means she’s paid it too! πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ Either way though I seriously hope she changes her therapists and gets some proper ones who can help her properly rather than seeing $$$

  7. What an absolute dumpster fire of a trial but hilarious and fascinating none the less! I'd like to start by saying that neither of them covered themselves in much glory and it was clear they were involved in an extremely volatile relationship. That really wasn't crux of the trial though as it surrounded a newspaper article previous in which Amber allegedly defamed Depp with unsubstantiated allegations despite not naming him and playing the victim. The trial if anything exposed Heard as an aggressor, manipulator and ultimately a compulsive liar. The biggest lie was claiming she donated $7m of her divorce settlement to charity (something she claimed she did for the past 5 years to numerous sources) however this was proven to be absolute nonsense and a damning hit on her character early on. This lie could also have a knock-on effect to the 2020 trial in London which Depp lost as her credibility is not only destroyed, but she committed perjury for claiming she did indeed donate all the proceeds of the divorce during that trial under oath. I also don't think I've seen such a laughable display of bad acting in my life with her on the stand - fake crying, overrating Jim Carrey-style and just the sheer nonsense she was spewing. One of the worst performances you will ever see and she had little answer for some of the allegations put towards her and how she couldn't explain miraculous recovery from injuries after supposedly being severely beaten and there were no medical records either. Her general demeanor and lack of raw emotion just painter her as a toxic narcissist. Depp certainly won the public opinion even before the verdict and despite his personal struggles, there was actually no real evidence that he at all did anything to her. Some of the things she did with evidence provided was absolutely shocking really. Heard's career will certainly take a devastating hit now and employers will be very weary about the impact of her inclusion into any projects especially Hollywood. After 6 years of hell, Johnny's will probably flourish again and whilst he's no saint, he definitely wasn't the person he was portrayed to be and the revelations of Heard's behavior will definitely leave shockwaves for years to come in the celebrity domain. Guaranteed to be a movie out of this too🀣

  8. Ok so I've managed to nail down a few ideas. Firstly I can't take her on holiday as neither of us know when the graduation gig is. To that end I'll be booking a table at the Bluebird in Chelsea, a bottle of JC Leroux to have at the table, an official Open University Class of 2022 jumper, a necklace with a nice pendant with something nice engraved on it and a teacup* (She got a teacup from someone who used to work at Harrods up until the pandemic layoffs hit, he was the postie there and they got on really well, she loved that teacup until one day it broke. I've managed to hunt it down and will order one tomorrow). Not really sure what else to get but she's always dreamt of getting a degree and has worked her bollocks off for six years to get it so this needs to be about as special as the day she met me, and the day she got engaged to me, and the day we gor married. Pretty fucking high bar I know, but I'm sure I can pull it off. Cheers for all the input, especially @GazzaGarrattwho's links I haven't even looked at yet and will do tomorrow ❀️

  11. Yeah, my wife has literally had CourtTV on for the past 3 weeks solid in our house πŸ˜… Not sure what she'll do with her life now! I ended up becoming interested in it because I couldn't get away from it tbh. You end up wanting to learn more about the lawyer side than anything else. The verdict was pretty damning - 43 questions had to be all answered in favour of Depp and they were. Not the same way on the Heard side, although she at least saw that the Depp's previous attorney made mistakes which made a small dent in the overall verdict. Its just really sad that 2 people's lives have to be put out there in this way. Both lives will never be the same again. Depp I think will at least have more happier days than Amber will. I think we both came to the conclusion in our house that she has difficult mental problems which really needs professional help. She was utterly convinced what had happened to her, so I don't think its just the case of she lied to try and save herself. She really looked like she saw the same events in a completely different way. Like you said @Teenwolf25 , Depp has many problems too. I think the difference is that he iis willing to accept he has them and thats the first step to recovery. People were talking afterwards that he may go one step further and just say scrap the money, as it was the verdict was all he wanted. That would most likely propel him even further into the next batch of top movies. My prediction was also to see him play a top superhero or supervillain after Amber is likely not to be cast in any Hollywood superhero films anymore.

  12. Absolutely more than welcome @Luseth ! As James says, we rotate alot as its all about having a good laugh together. Keep checking up on the events on the calendar as we usually group up if there is an event (Super Sunday and Monday Night Football being the most regular ones). You'll see to we use this thread as the activity thread to share our stories when we all do play on a given night. If we can grab some highlights, its a brucey bonus too.

  15. And finally the chalice dungeons. These where a mixed bag. Bloodbornes combat system is good enough for this kind of thing to work and it kind of dose. Up until the final 2 chalices. My main problem is the material system for these is one of the worst most unesseary systems in any game. Like if they want prerequisites they already use them they don’t need for you to have to farm materials to make the chalices in the first place. The defiled chalice was okay for the start. The first boss was fine. The watchdog was annoying at first when he would do the charge attack but once you’ve learnt that tell and dodge for it. He was actually an okay fight. It was all about baiting attacks and conserving stamina. Which was very different to all the other bosses in the game. (Other than maybe ebritas, but you don’t have to fight her like that) then there was the amigdala. The room is way to small for a boss his size. He has a bunch of one shot attacks and you have to stay close when he dose them cause they are literally the only time he gets close enough to the ground to hit. Because only like half the attacks are punishable you can have minute long waits in-between hits on him. It makes the fight take forever. My kill on him took 12 minutes. His phase when he rips of his arms gives even less windows and it’s now to dangerous to go for the head so you have do settle for less damage on the arms which have a jank hit box. Overall the bosses in this dungeon probably took 15 attempts and they are harder than Ludwig/Maria but easier than orphan. But they are much worse fights than all 3. Now the final chalice dungeon. The final boss of this dungeon was a unique fight and much easier than like the previous 6 bosses in this quest. But it’s one of the more fun fights. The first boss of the dungeon would be much better in an arena without pillars every where. You characters gets and stuck. He attacks through the pillars your camera gets disconnected. His moves set was made for a open area and they stuck him in a tight hallway with giant pillars everywhere. The second boss is a huge beast in a tiny room. This is also quite a fun boss that’s ruined by it’s enclosure. This fight was very different to all the ones before as well cause you could never commit to a large attack. My main annoyance with this chalice was loosing 2 red jelly (rare crafting material) when I went into new game plus for some unknown reason. Overall I like the concept of the the chalice dungeons but I think they should get bosses to match there arenas and maybe do the reduce health challenges on boss that don’t spam one shot attacks. I do think that simply removing the materials required in making chalices would just make the wholes system 2x better. Overall the platinum took 29 hours and was a lot of fun. But I would recommend against the chalice dungeons just for the sake of the platinum. If you want to do them I think they're fun. If you think you need to do them they are just annoying. I probably prefer eldenring just cause I like the harder bosses but there are definitely a lot of things bloodborne does better than eldenring (like level design and normal enemy’s) Plus the dlc is better than elden ring in quality. If the whole game was at dlc standard it would beat Elden ring by a mile. Despite that it was still an amazing game and anyone who hasn’t played it and like Elden ring should give it a go (base game is free and dlc is like 15 pounds it’s amazing play it).

  16. Yeah for the most part, most people have bought it years ago and enjoyed it. It's truly an epic game. Might take some time to complete it, but well worth the time. It's possible to hardcore binge and blast through it. Players like yourself and I that are very limited on playtime might want to play something else when we get the chance. God of War is definitely a masterpiece.

  18. Hi Luseth, We play the PS4 version of FIFA 22. We also like to rotate the positions so once you jump on Monday or Sunday you can just have a look and pick where you want to play during the night. If you have any of the guys as friends on PS you should be able to join friends club Forever-Gaming. If not I'm sure we can set you up one night this week before Monday!

  21. This is one of its biggest fails for me, the grind for some basic stuff is incredibly dumb and with weapon crafting it's been turned upto the max. You grind for red border weapons with an insane low drop rate then you need fucking 5. One catalyst requires 50 min completions of mid tier difficulty stuff πŸ˜‚ @Diddumsalso hit the nail on the head regarding crucible, I used to love spending hours just chilling in crucible now it's bounties and done simply because I've had enough by then of all the cheesy bulllshit, every update seems to make it worse too.

  22. Do you guys play on PS or XBOX? Do you often have any space in the squad and is it just Mondays? 24. That does make a lot of sense, Steam is the king. If it's not on Steam then it's questionable and inconvenient using another launcher.
    1 point
  25. I mostly don't like using multiple launchers is the main reason - prefer to have all my games in one place ideally aka Steam. Battlenet isn't awful but it has nothing that makes it worth existing in terms of features. It's a simple and small enough platform that does the job but more of an inconvenience than anything. It's also a platform dominated by Blizzard gatekeepers so if you have an issue or criticism, it's stifled or silenced pretty quickly.

He's here bungie the one person that loves gambit, I'd be more than happy if they removed the random win bounty farm "gamemode" from the game and put resources into something more productive, possibly a new lighter shade of white tin of paint for the cupboards a bungie HQ got example. Oh and this will be the first season I ditch IB as fuck rift

  28. Yeah totally agree with the Crucible element. It was the one area that whilst we waited for more content or wanted to just chill on the game, it would always be in the Crucible. I don't have the same pull either. However, I'm lucky as I love Gambit which I think weirdly now has more legs than Crucible does. I really want to get into the Iron Banner seal but I think they missed a trick by making Rift and Control as two options rather than force you to play Rift. We have this week (Week 2) and apparently Week 8 to only play Iron Banner through the 12 week season. Part of me feels like we'll get a communication that Iron Banner will come back in Week 11 or something because it needs that extra week of updates to make it worthwhile imo.

  35. Now the dlc is where shit got even better. The first level was hard. It would have been nicer if it was a newer area but it was still really cool having the distorted cathedral ward. Ludwig was a cool boss and a real step up from anything before him. At first I thought he was a bit unfair but after a couple of attempts his charges became easily dodge able and the fight more fun. Then the next area was very cool full of short cuts and paths around the central staircase. It was a bit on the easier side but very unique so it’s good. The living failures is an okay encounter and provides a lamp near Maria so I don’t really mind. Maria is by far the best hunter fight in the game and she might be why I dislike gerhnam fight (as I did her first) her 3 phases building on each other was really cool and its much better than all the other mediocre-bad hunter fights in the game (gasconge is cool). The fishing village was a very cool and unique area. And the orphan of kos is my 3rd favourite boss (mohg being 1 and malenia 2). He was by far the hardest boss (excluding chalice dungeons) and he was amazing. Most of the boss took 1-3 attempts and all of them took less than 10. Other than orphan who took just over an hour. I’ve heard he’s the second hardest boss in the series with first being malenia. Malenia took 11 hours and many other eldenring bosses taking 3+ so I do definitely think I’ve improved a bit. He’s one of the most aggressive bosses in the game. His opening cutscene is one of the best I’ve seen and he’s a lot of fun to fight. He’s the perfect boss for bloodborne combat style. You’ve got to stay close and be as aggressive as he is or you’ll always be in a losing position in the fight. Lawerence was a much worse fight. His first phases are just high damage versions of early game bosses. So that pretty meh. Then his unique phase means you can never hit him and it takes forever.

  36. This looks like quite an old thread. But I have just platinum the game so thought I would post. Elden ring was my first fromsoft game and I’ve decided to go back through the others. Bloodborne is first up. The changes in combat and healing where nice I i didn’t play eldenring with range or sheild anyway so I used a similar build with the trick axe. It was a fun weapon to use and very nice at clearing adds through out the levels. Going through the base game was a lot of fun. I had a much easier time then with Elden ring. I think mainly because I’m better now then I was but the bosses are definitely easier in this game. The levels in this game are much better than most of the levels in eldenring. Also there was a lot more variety in the combat in these levels. Yarnahm was a really cool starting area. Then the unseen city was one of the coolest looking areas of seen. The amigdalas you can know see on the side of everything was a really cool change. Then the late game areas where very different and that was also really cool. The forbidden woods was a great area and absolutely huge. Even though Eldenring was open world I found my self not knowing which new area to explore even more in this game. Early on I found the bosses to be a bit similar but that changed at the shadows of yarnham. After that a lot of the bosses where very different and varied. I really enjoyed the shadows fight and it’s probably my favourite group boss fight so far (beating out godskin duo so this may be a low bar). Killing Rom without killing all of his spiderlings was very cool even if it did tank the frame rate when there where 30+ spiders filling up the screen. (I did kill him the other way in the chalice dungeons and see of spiders is definitely the best method). Martyr logarius was one of the more difficult fights in the base game and also one of the best. Especially his second phase. The one reborn was a cool spectical. My favourite base game boss was mergos wet nurse because getting hits on her in the clone phase felt awesome. Overall I think this final boss beats out eldenrings but Gerhnam sythe phase felt a bit unfair. Then the moonpresence was also a badly designed fight. I had one death where I got my vials taken and then all my health but the boss was outside the areana so I couldn’t rally to get it back. Then I did anouther attempt where he stayed close and got destroyed easily. So yeah. The checkpoint in between was a nice touch that eldenring probably should have had.

    Fire Emblem

    I'm a big fan of the series πŸ™‚ The more recent games are certainly much more friendly in that they are easier to get into so you are probably at the right point to jump in. Essentially you have a little army and you move each piece / unit at a time and attack other units. Think chess in rudimentary terms or final fantasy tactics for something else relatable. Three houses on the switch is certainly one of their best (though here the price never dropped from release) or I would highly recommend fire emblem awakening on the 3ds as well πŸ™‚
