I watched The Day After Tomorrow yesterday but I was gonna watch it today as I missed it the day before yesterday but luckily yesterday I managed to indeed watch The Day After Tomorrow instead of today.

Sony really shits the bed when it comes to customizing their controllers. You look at some of the stuff microsoft does for xbox controllers and think "What the fuck, Sony?!"

There's an in-game event going through August. Exactly what this new game should have been. 😄

McDonalds tried to give away some custom controllers but Sony slapped them hard I can see why😂

So far, with the help of @GazzaGarratt @jordie1892 and @G_dub52 i have hit £165 already! With a few weeks still to go it would be amazing to hit my target of £500. It's for the Alzheimers Society which is an amazing cause. Every little counts towards the cause 🙂

Pokémon UNITE is a free-to-play, multiplayer online battle arena video game developed by TiMi Studio Group and published by The Pokémon Company for Android and iOS, and by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. In summation it's Heroes of The Storm mixed with Destiny 2's Gambit game mode. Pros Game is well optimized for the Switch while Docked. Matches take between 5-10 minutes. Matchmaking appears to be fair and enjoyable. This MOBA is really well designed with a controller in mind, with customization options for aim assist, lock on, etc. Character's are for the most parts balanced, with only 2 or 3 right now incredibly strong; you can win with anyone. Cons FPS drops while Switch is in handheld mode, you can lock to 30 FPS to avoid this however. Battle items directly effect stats, and you upgrade your battle items by using 'Item Enhancers'. The issue is you can buy these item enhancers with real money, which I consider a pay 2 win feature. However, this is fairly offset by the general ease of acquiring "Tickets" to buy 'Item Enhancers". For example I am Free 2 Play and have 6 items between level 15-20. Communication is very limited for a MOBA. There is a chat wheel with things like, "I'm going to the top area, I'm going to the center area, I'm going to the bottom area" but it lacks some important messages that revolve around objectives. Zapdos, this game's version of Baron in League of Legends will decide the game 100% of the time. If you are losing and kill Zapdos you will win, and vice versa. There is zero counter play and this is a problem. 2,000 free currency cap per week. This is bullshit... Characters are expensive. 6,000 to 10,000 free currency. I'm having a lot of fun with the game and have ran into one whale in 100 games so far. I'm pretty high on the rankings at Expert 3. The paying directly for Item Enhancers is bullshit, however the price is high enough that only whales will be attracted to it- after a month or two of the game the general population will even out with items. You won't see whales at lower to middle ranks, and if you're shitty the items can't carry you.

Can't wait to see Spartak Moscow, Lech Poznan and Malmo join them.

Came here to see what the reaction was post launch and realised its been delayed. Good, although i'm not sure the delay will stop anyone feeling less pissed about the game being a triple A price.

Doesn't look too bad to be fair and could be a fun coop experience. Shame it's restricted to a three person team but the mechanics look decent as does the shooting

Me too, but the 3rd person looks awkward for my own personal playstyle. Reminds me of Gears of War and I really couldn't get on with those games at all. @Macca89 , another Aliens game to add to the collection.

Fast 9. Going in to this expecting exactly what anyone would expect, I was still amazed. The plot holes are big enough to fit an entire different franchise in, many of the scenes are very clunky - not in that poorly directed way, but in that "I want this to happen in my film and I don't care what you have to do to achieve it" kind of way, regardless of the context or the rest of the film. A few moments of the film went from head scratching, to "is this actually from a different film or something?". My last point is a bit of a tricky one. I know I can be fussy and generally can't stand when films do stupid shit in the hope that their audience won't know it's bollocks, but in many cases I can turn my brain off and enjoy it. I'm sure most here are the same. My thing is whether this film is just purposefully ignoring the intelligence of its audience altogether, or whether I've just reached my limits of "fuck it, it's a film". I like to think I can stretch my imagination quite a bit, but this doesn't so much as stretch the imagination, but rather take it out your head, chew it, sit on it, fart on it, call it names and abuse it to within an inch of its life, and then put it back in your head expecting you to go "yeah that's awesome". Maybe I'm just not stupid enough, or I've been exposed to too much technical stuff during my life to know where the line is between "artistic licence" and "utter bullshit". Fuck knows. Either way the film is as shit as you'd expect, absolutely fucking awful full of family bollocks and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 5/10.

I'll go to the wall for a guy who's a little right, but if you're wrong you're wrong and if you lie to me you can go get fucked. I've got no problem recommending someone for termination and have. What I don't like is how much ass covering there is when guys screw up but without bad intent or when people make paperwork just to make paperwork. A guy accidentally discharges a Taser cartridge during maintenance checks. A certain captain would want a police report and an internal report. I told him to mark out on investigation at roll call, write that CAD number as the incident the discharge took place, and go get a replacement at the property room. Don't volunteer any info. If they give you shit, have them call me. They didn't ask because they don't care, as long as they have a number to write down they are happy. It's an honest mistake and one a sergeant can address, there's zero reason to get the LT or above involved. Now I'm the LT and I'm already telling the SGTs to solve problems at the lowest level possible. One of my detectives is now finding out why. He asked if he could work from home Friday, the sergeant said not without my permission. This detective emails me and says he is completely caught up on his cases and he has all his gear in his car if he gets called out, so it would be a "waste" to drive in to the office to "twiddle his thumbs". Now, I've already told the guys they aren't chained to the desk but I expect them to work their cases appropriately. Suspects and victims aren't in our building, and you can't play detective by telephone all day, so I don't need to see you, I need you to be working. I told him he was free to work from home that day, as I have no rule about when someone must be in the office as long as they are taking care of their work. I also told the SGTs to make him a priority in booking (booking is how reports street officers take become cases and get assigned to individual detectives) as I would hate for him to be twiddling his thumbs for very long. Basically he told me he doesn't have enough work to do, and I'm fixing that. Who in their right mind goes to their boss' boss and says "I don't have enough work"? I've also revamped the office's method of bidding for time off, which was grossly unfair and very unpopular with the detectives. It was logistically simpler, but resulted in the same hand full of people getting every major holiday off. We'll be doing it like street officers do it (and like we did in Homicide/Robbery) next year, where seniority matters and the most senior guy will get his first request for sure, but everyone's first choice goes in the book before anyone's second choice does so they "good" holidays get spread out more. The senior guy can still get Christmas or Thanksgiving or July 4th, but probably can't get all 3 I've reinstituted office pitch-in lunches starting this Wednesday, which had fallen victim to COVID. Modernized a few things, now it's pretty much like being a fireman. If everything is working right, I don't have much work to do. If things go sideways, it's my problem no matter who's problem it is. But here's how far from being a real cop I am now. This week I used Excel to go through overtime slips vs grants to make sure we were being reimbursed for certain special project overtime. I found about $450 that was coded incorrectly that was grant money eligible....good times.

This has been delayed until September 21st. It sucks but COVID has basically made a lot of delays necessary it seems. I'm ok with this though. It's one I've been keeping my eye on so if they need the time to polish it up some more, have at it.

UGH..... Sony must really hate us. I guess the only saving grace is at least the games with gold pics next month are just as shitty.

Is anyone else kind of just done with the whole "Tom Clancy" stuff? I know R6 Siege has been hot as of late, but I wasn't impressed with the next R6 installment and this just doesn't interest me at all. Man..... all I ever wanted was a NEW Splinter Cell game... *Insert various curse words here*

If the shooting is good that's the main thing for me in a game like this. Needs to be satisfying. If so I'll give it some consideration.

Lots of new info here. Looks like if you if PS4 & PS5 want to play together then you have to turn off crossplay. I'll probably turn off crossplay with PC anyway. Fuck those cheating nerds!
