  1. Race 1 - 12 Laps Willow Springs Gr4 Even though the Audi TT has been given a Balance of Power (BoP) nerf recently, this race looked like it was going to play out in a similar fashion to Laguna Seca a few weeks ago. The Audi TT is significantly faster but is Front wheel drive and suffers excessive front tyre wear meaning a pit stop is required. Choosing a different car though would mean being slower on ultimate pace but able to do the race without a stop. Which would be quicker in this race of strategy...that @Mikepjbell screwed during practise by explaining the assists he use causing Phil to force them to be off for qualifying and the race. Qualifying Out of the 12 racing, only 4 chose not to use the Audi TT so qualifying was going to be difficult for us. The four were myself in the Toyota GT86, The birthday boy @JBR-Kiwi in the Dodge Viper, @tronic44 in the Peugeot RCZ and first time racer @techno in a Lamborghini Huracan. I got out the pits first and so crossed the line first, I set a new PB of a low 1:16 but this was short lived as Mike crossed the line shortly afterwards with a blistering 1:15.8 whose pace already surprised himself with everyone slotting in third down. On the second flying lap, the times and positions didn't change much with the exception of Lee @GazzaGarratt jumping up to fourth, then on his third qualifying lap take his first pole from Mike by a tenth. Race Unlike the last few weeks, we were doing standing starts, which saw Lee on pole get nothing but wheel spin allowing a better starting Mike to hold the inside in to turn 1 and take the lead. A bit of door to door action saw Tom@LordBaguette get squeezed leaving Kiwi on my tail going in to turn 2. Keeping an eye on Kiwi in my mirror, I missed my braking point for turn 3 allowing Kiwi to make a pass and move on up the podium positions. This was relatively short lived though as on the tricky last corner both Lee and Kiwi run wide giving me an easy second and as Kiwi got a better run on to the start finish straight, it saw Lee drop from second to fourth in one corner. Lee stuck close to Kiwi though and manages to re-pass him at the top of the circuit on turn 4 which also allows Tom get passed on the downhill section. The leader, Mike, touches the dirt on the way down the hill allowing me to close and get a run on him in to the last corner but the Audi is monstrous through the final corner so Mike pulls a small gap. Lap 2 it was Tom and Phil's @phil bottle turn to run wide at the final corner and losing them places. Tom running wide, left Kiwi again chasing down Lee and on the following lap, making a pass on the downhill as Lee runs on to the dirt and very wide costing him several places. As the saying goes, third times the charm, on my third attempt to follow Mike through the final corner he gaps me but I get a better exit and close up down the straight to take the lead through turn 1 which is all to brief as in a copy of Lap 1, I run wide in to turn 3 allowing Mike to retake his lead who then runs wide in turn 6 letting me back passed. Kiwi has a couple of bad laps of running wide on the last corner and ends up behind @jordie1892 who battle for the place with Kiwi making the pass, Jordie retaking the position before Jordie runs wide on on turn 3 of lap 11. To end the race Phil and @Lurch get close with their final position coming down to the final corner where Phil runs wide allowing Lurch to take the place by a little of one tenth of a second. To somewhat show how tricky the final corner of this track is, I think half my notes for this race revolved around someone or other running wide 😆 Race 2 - 3 laps Sainte Croix A Gr3 There was no qualifying for this race as we decided to try out a reverse grid based on the results of the previous race. The race is only 3 laps but as it is one of the longer tracks in GT Sport so there was going to be plenty of time for action as the faster cars at the back made their way through the pack. Race As race 1, this was a grid start which caused carnage from the start as @Shucker couldn't race but forgot to remove his entry so was at a stand still at lights out causing Mike some issues. The majority of the pack got off well and running 3 or 4 wide heading for turn 1 was a risk for a big pile up but with the exception of Pete getting knocked wide and pushing Tom wide it was mostly clean. The exit of turn 1 had Rich @tronic44 in the lead being chased by Kiwi, Lurch in 3rd with Phil and Lee bumper to bumper in 4th and 5th respectively. Mike had recovered from a stranded Shucker and was 3 wide with myself and Gary going up to turn 2 where I managed to take 6th with Mike in 7th and Gary in 8th. Rich makes a mistake runs wide at turn 6 letting Kiwi take the lead while Lurch runs wide out of turn 4 allowing Phil and Lee to close the gap. Phil takes the inside in to Turn 6 but like Rich runs deep while Lee also follows while helping Lurch in to the wall too giving me an easy pass straight to 3rd place. Sadly in recovery Lurch spins a few corners later and retires form the race. Rich goes offline through turn 8 which allows me to run round the outside of 9 and take the inside of turn 10 to move myself up to second place. Mike shortly follows with a nice move to overtake Rich at the hairpin at turn 13 with Rich losing a further place as Tom makes the pass down the start finish straight at the end of the first lap. The race calms down after the manic first lap as most people have found their rough positions and running with gaps though a few mistakes give chances and passes. I haven't really been able to close down the gap to Kiwi but in pushing Kiwi runs wide turn 10 on lap 2 allowing me to close right up but with some work still to be done if I want to get close enough to try a pass. I fail to close the gap with my last option being to try and out drag Kiwi to the line but due to misjudging my speed from the tow I brake too late for the final corner allowing Kiwi a clear run to the line. Lee, Gary and @slamminbones all get close with Lee managing to overtake Gary who shortly after takes the position though Lee manages to pass Gary right at the end. Race 3 - 4 Laps Tokyo East Loop (Wet Race) This race was scheduled for a previous week which due to time constraints it was not possible to do so it was re-run this week. In the practise for the previous weeks race, Bones was quick and topping the times but was struggling to achieve the same times during this practise session. Though I think everyone was struggling to adapt to the slippery conditions after two dry races on some of the softest and grippiest tyres available. Due to the time, we didn't do any official qualifying for this race so the grid was decided by the practise times. Race Sadly there is no footage of this race due to someone, who might have been me, forgot to save the replay which is a shame as the drag to turn 1 was interesting. Again we started this race with a standard start but on Tokyo the start line is in a tunnel so the track is dry and it's a looong run to turn 1. We all go off relatively clean but the differences in cars became apparent as Pete's speed saw him take the lead just as Phil in his Aston Martin also made a charge through the pack. Phil takes a defensive inside line in to turn 1 and brakes early catching me out causing me to have dive for the outside as I brake later. Due to the conditions both Pete and Lee run wide touching the wall but getting away mostly clean. Pete takes a drive at turn 2 to take the lead from me as Lee runs wide again this time picking up a penalty for hitting the wall. Towards the end of the lap, I make a pass on Pete retaking the lead as Lee closes up to Pete too. Lee attempts to pass Pete by going round the outside but due to the lack of grip they run wide and in touching the wall, Lee spins and sadly the game doesn't reset him until most of the pack has passed. Lee is chasing down Bones in to the final hairpin where Bones does his best Tokyo drift impression which Lee takes advantage of but Bones gets a better run and with the help of the tow repasses Lee down the straight. At the end of lap 1, I cross the line in the lead with a gap to Mike in second who has a gap to Kiwi and Phil in 3rd and 4th who in an attempt to close in on Mike try some shake and bake bump drafting though Rich has been sneaking up on them and makes a surprise pass on Phil at turn 1. Lee succumbs to some technical difficulties as his wheel slips on the desk causing him to go all pinball wizard by hitting every wall trying to re-clamp it. Kiwi without the need for shake and bake, manages to pass Mike who then tries to convince Kiwi to slow down on the straight so he can be in the tow - for some reason Kiwi doesn't.

Apparently we can make our own dedicated server without having to pay for a host. I've seen some instructions online on how to set it up. Would anyone be interested that?

Got a little valley im gonna build a nice house on but definitely need more time in game to get it where I want it. Vision is there but execution is far from 🤣 I want see what the co op is like because right now I'm still running around with the bare rags you get to wear so going out at night is like going outside right now butt ass naked and jumping in some snow🤣 I wish I wasn't working these hours or I'd be on with all of you.

I only have FB because of the FG Account so we can keep in touch with those that end up as that being the only contact we have left with them. I agree with a lot of this debate. Seriously, this is how debates are supposed to go, you listen to each other and still can respectfully disagree with whatever is said. I do hold Twitter as one of the main root causes to our issues we have today that spun all of this stuff up. Its literally the best and worst place to go - its where we get the latest news right from the horses mouths - fortunately and unfortunately.

  8. saw for the first time fritz langs metropolis, a 1927 sci fi movie for those that don't know, and while it was kinda hard because there was no dialogue in movies back then, it's still a great movie that almost every sci fi that was made after borrowed from it, still not an easy movie and while nowadays it's themes may sound quite common for when it was made it must have been extremely groundbreaking, a dystopic future where technology runs amok and people have been divided into the slave workers who live in underground cities and the rich elite who live in a "paradise" above ground and then you have mad scientists, the poor being manipulated by the elites but their schemes backfiring catastrophically etc also the sets, camera work/cinematography are still awesome and the robot too, so creepy and kinda threatening

First base was made with the help of @GazzaGarrattbut then didn't play for a few days. Played a bit yesterday. Logged in alone and went deer hunting, but wandered a little too far, something I realised when I giant troll materialised from behind a ridge. One hit and I was down to 3 health but I managed to fall down a ravine and he forgot about me. Lucky. @Plumbers Crack logged in for an hour or so and we gathered resources together without mishap. When I went back on later i was joined by @tronic44for a couple of hours. We made a second base by the shoreline and had our first raft on the sea. Very difficult to navigate. Can't wait till we can build something better. Have leather clothes now and fire arrows, but will do more prep before taking on the first boss.

I did all the different beginnings to get the achievements but as soon as I got them all to Orzammar I always ended up playing elves for my proper playtbroughs because I can't help myself haha (devasted when I had to be human in DA2) however there was one playtbrough where I made Alistair King and I was like let's get married! And I was real upset when I couldn't because of my race so I made a human and did a whole new playtbough just to marry him 😅

  13. With the new formation we've played over the past week, having 3 at the back means any more CBs would be a great shout. I'm also gonna try GK at some point and we shouldn't be frightened to have a few. We have great chances to get 11 on most weeks now so I don't think its a bad shout considering how much action we see in our half!! Does anyone think we need more just typical CMs or is there no value in having these types of builds?

  14. Needed a relatively easy watch when I wanted to go to bed early the other night, so I watched Bloodsport. The Muscles from Brussels, Jean Claude Van Damme was just as impressive as he's always been for an action hero for me! Acting in parts are sometimes quite hilarious, and weirdly I even forgot that it cast Forest Whitaker in the film too! I don't know how he did the overextended splitz, it looked painful as hell but a nice easy watch if you love action films - based on a true story too if people have completely missed this over the years.

  15. Spent 2 hours watching Greenland yesterday to save everyone else having to suffer. Had some good elements, the meteors raining down was done very well. A lot of it, particularly the end, didn't make sense in terms of what happens to the planet. As for the rest, possibly the most predictable disaster movie I have ever seen but there's a good fight scene with a hammer that at least made me laugh🙂

  18. My question is, how is all this going on, the biggest thing since endgame and none of the remaining avengers seemed concerned. If you remember during infinity war they talk about tracking Wanda and vision but vision goes off grid. Clearly they would be monitoring the intelligence community and know that 1 vision body was stolen and 2 that Wanda is holding a load of people captive.

  23. Next week's dailies should be announced at some point today. In the meantime let me know if there are any requests. Might make the 3rd race a one lap in a N100 around the Nordschleife or another wet race but this time at Red Bull but happy to accommodate requests. @LordBaguette was asking last week about race choices, we generally base them on that week's Gran Turismo dailies unless they're a bit shite. Aiming to have a calendar up this evening.

It’s hard to see this as anything other than another victim of the cancer that is cancel culture. Calling her out as racist and saying she should be fired just because she didn’t make a BLM post. Or calls for her to be fired because she supported Trump. By that logic, 74 million other Americans should be getting fired too. I don’t follow her, or anyone really, o social media but from the articles I read she hasn’t actually said or done anything wrong. Sure I disagree with the things she said but I’ve yet to find anyone I agree with on everything.

Context on my POV: I'm not a Star Wars fan, but I did enjoy The Mandalorian... and probably have a better than basic knowledge of Star Wars lore. I lean liberal. Is what she said offensive? Sure. Do I necessarily care? Ehhhh... not really? There are plenty of actors out there that have viewpoints dissimilar to mine, and for me, unless you are actually actively doing terrible sh*t to the tune of harming people and animals for no good reason (I'm looking at you worthless pieces of garbage a la Jake Paul and Logan Paul), I generally say... whatever. Look, we who are employed by others are endlessly told to keep your POVs to yourself and be mindful of your social media. I have signed something that had that wording in the last 5 places I was employed, especially in the position I hold. I'm pretty sure she had to sign that as well. It's DISNEY. They absolutely care about what their assets put out there. In terms of the corporate world, she did this to herself... getting fired. In terms of her POV, ehhhh. It's terrible, and I wouldn't want to know her as a human. But, I also liked that she was a woman whose body I could actually relate to... who wasn't fat but was considered strong. No one wins with her being gone. Not the story. Not women. Not her. Not Disney.

I'm not a huge fan of survival games especially those that are in early access and didn't really understand what was so appealing about this one either looking at it, however I picked it up a few days ago as a punt and I have to say it is absolutely exceptional! Only played about 10 hours so far solo but everything in this game is on another level from the general mechanics to the fantastic crafting system. The building is really well implemented albeit a bit finicky on uneven land but the world is so intriguing and beautiful. Every aspect of this game so far feels spot-on and the potential is crazy - you really get the sense the developer knows exactly what they are doing and how to do it which is rare for this type of game. I hear the co-op also works really well and is tremendous fun! It's just a pleasant game to play that keeps on surprising with some great attention to detail and progression aspects tied to the crafting. I think this will be the best survival game of its kind if it isn't already and I've experienced zero bugs or issues so far. It feels so polished and really puts other games in this tarnished genre to shame.

  42. Happy to contribute in any position. I have the following CF CDM CAM RW CB which I will change to a RWB I think if you use all of these they cover a range of positions, I've used my CAM playing in cdm, LW, and up top sometimes, so might change my cdm to a Lwb to cover all angles. Plus if you use a wing back at CB he's rapid and the game seems to be all about pace atm.

  45. 2/6/2021 Workout Squat Workshop Box squats in descending ladder by 2 from 12 (12 rep, 10 rep, 8 rep, etc.) with increasing weight until 1 rep max. With a 1-second pause on the box. Thoughts: Never did box squats before. Super interesting to get to 335lbs on the bar. Also, thoroughly amused that somehow my lifting is causing a ruckus. The workshop is meant for only 4 people at a time. I'm assigned to Saturdays. Works better for my schedule. Today, we had 7 people show up, which included me. The extra 3 people were all "I didn't know we weren't allowed to switch days. I saw the video of La lifting 225lbs, and had to see it myself." Oh, you poor souls. You haven't had real lifters or HIIT athletes here, I guess. The weightlifting coach was a bit pissed because we ended up breaking some distancing rules to accommodate the extra people. My back muscles are not used to going this heavy. Legs are perfectly fine, but keeping form, keeping my back where it needs to be at this weight? Whew. Honestly, I didn't think I would reach 300lbs. But Tim kept throwing more weight on. When we got to 335lbs, the question was "should we put more on? Like another 10lbs total?" I said, "Um. No. Let's just call 335lbs my 1 rep max for this movement." Tim started asking me so many questions after the session.. Like what can I really deadlift... what can I really back squat... I made it very clear to him that my PR is 260lbs back squat with 265lbs deadlift. But, I also know that I have a weak core and will hit 300lbs on that once I get my core situation fixed. Also, yesterday was a high-carb day, so I went into today's session more "fueled" I guess. I'm still juggling in my brain what I'm eating. I'm trying not to kill myself with strictness. We'll see the damage on Monday.

  46. She has nothing to do with the reality stone. Experiments with the mind stone 'gave' her powers in age of ultron. I think this be retconned in that her and quicksilver had those powers all along and the stone just made them manifest quicker Nah Scarlett Witch is the most powerful by far. Id say currently its Dr Strange then Scarlett Witch. Captain Marvel is physically probably the strongest but she can just be blipped out of existence or nullified completely by those 2 if they wanted I cant see Dr Strange not making some sort of appearance before the end of this show, it just wouldnt make sense for him to not get involved

  47. Having played almost all of them, I would highly recommend Black Flag simply for the ship battles alone! Main character is possibly one of the most likeable in the series after Ezio. If you would enjoy being more of a pirate then an assassin then you’ll definitely enjoy Black Flag and from what I remember there was plenty to do with plenty of side quests and activities like Fort taking and fighting other ships in a storm amongst lots of other things. Really good graphics for the time (some of the views are pretty spectacular if you get through the island jungles) and it’s a good storyline if you enjoy that side of the game as well
