Just thought I'd start this topic as I couldn't find another thread to latch onto. So, here's a place for you to recount funny conversations you've had either at work of at home which have given you a laugh. So, while chewing the fat with our office cleaner this morning, he was bemoaning the fact that his missus has had him decorating whenever he has any free time. The conversation went. Me: "How are you doing Ricky?" Cleaner: "The missus is killing me with all this decorating, she's never happy!!" Me: "Yeah I know, the more you give the more they want". Cleaner: "Yeah, but she never says that in bed"!! 🤣

The funniest one that stands out for me was chatting to a friend at work about Escape to the Chateau and Dick Strawbridge. Now this is the type of person who gets louder and more animated if they're talking about something they like. I can't remember the exact conversation but it did end with them saying "I love Dick" rather loudly in the middle of an office. Then shortly afterwards adding "I'll be watching some Dick later".

I will try and help where I can, but availability is limited. I'm trying to cover for 5 colleagues owing to furlough, so struggling to have time to wipe my arse, which is tricky seeing as there's a broom handle stuck up there while I sweep the floor as well!! I actually agree with a lot of what's been said here, and I know Lee that most games are the same thing over and over again. I like the idea of grinding once as the power level.rising every 3 months makes it pointless especially when it tracks. I have no reason to grind power,I think destiny has lost its way, @Diddumshit the nail on the head a while ago. I'm hoping things change for the better in September.

I actually agree with pretty much most of this @techno Gary. I've said for a while that as the game evolves, the Power grind has become a secondary factor in as far as achieving goals go whereas in the first number of years, the big Power number was the ultimate goal. What people strive for is new content and i'd agree with them. We all want the best, endgame, brand new never seen before content over older, already completed content. The one part in the detail of this that I struggle to side with though is that some people view literally dismiss any old content in the game like its not 'fun' any more or meaningless. Crucible, Strikes, Gambit, Dungeons, Raids, Menagerie, etc gets categorised into something really boring and the negative train sweeps over people. You'd find a ton of these modes actually really engaging compared to other games. The negativity then breeds to guns and armor. "Woopee, brand new content! A D1 Exotic". I'm sorry, but the people that argue they want more Destiny 1 things back moan when thats stuff is back thats it not new. Selective memory lapses happen all the time. They can't make a million guns each Season, but because there's not 100 guns brand new, they brand the entire season shite before trying out some of the 7-10 guns that are new and new activities that are on offer. And some are pretty crazy good. All in all, I totally agree with Power grind issues. I never look at the numbers anymore, only when I need to see if i'm high enough for an activity, which I think a good way to combat it would totally be putting more Hard modes in the game. Clive @Teenwolf25 has said many times as well as Chad @Riff Machine that make the Raids normal level accessible with unlimited revives and then Hard mode has limited revives at higher power levels. Match that reward and Bingo, stuff to grind for which works with getting higher numbers. Menagerie? Add a few extra bosses and levels. Reckoning? Add a few extra bosses and levels. Forges? Create different objectives to Rounds other than just throwing balls, like Niobe Labs has. Raids? Add new harder modes that have slight twist on each section. If they do things like they do above, then I think the Power Grind as we know won't be an issue. You logon, you have stuff to do. You get rewards from that stuff, you do harder versions of the activies. Oh, and yes it'll never be an MMO, i agree with that too. I don't want it to be. All I want is pretty much every activity to be able to have 6-8 people playing the same activity in the same Fireteam. How good would Patrol and other gamemodes be if they did this?! Personally, the reset to the world come September has me hyped because its kind of blowing up the stale world as we know it. I would much prefer it if every season they started to go back to old content and then work on improving and refreshing it. Good thread Gary. 👍

This has been a fantastic response everyone, don't underestimate how much I appreciate every single one of them ❤️ The poll will remain 'open' for a while so more people that haven't seen this yet can still contribute and give their thoughts. I'm going to get cracking on how to start each area of suggestion with everyone that has raised an interest. I'll try and set that up starting today and over the next 1-3 days so watch this space.

Some interesting thoughts, sunsetting wouldn't need to.be implemented if they swapped traits and perks around, sunsetting weapons to just go grind for the same gun again is dumb. The whole armour thing is way too complex for me as a total casual,I've never got into what this and that does and personally I don't care,for how I play it barely seems to make a difference, certainly I don't have the time to bring that miniscule chance of dropping what I want with so many variations, hell no.

I'll have to give the Mach Forty a go 🙂 I don't own it but I can easily buy it. Any car with good straight line speed will be good round here so I can see why the Vulcan could suffer. I've also got the Aston Martin One-77 which could be handy. I think I'll have to log on and mess around with all the cars and see which one seems to the best and give a fast lap another go. It is a challenge producing the reference laps, balancing the need to do some practice to drive a relatively fast lap with posting it early enough in the week to be useful. Still it show the lines to take and where time can be gained but if the Mach40 or other car is signifcantly faster, I can alwas record another lap 🙂

I've ticked that too, I'm more than happy to reach out to charities that I've worked with before to see if they are happy that we do this and it will probably be posted on the websites of said companies. Via the FG App

I got a Samsung Galaxy S10+ 512GB . Been a Samsung/Android fan ever since the first Galaxy came out. Now I'm getting a new phone every 2 years after my previous contract runs out. So I skip basically one generation always, which I find is perfect, because from one gen to another there ain't much difference but 2 gen's apart you can see the improvements clearly. But idk what is there to top now? I mean I got a big UHD screen, superb hdr and 4k video watching quality, a lot of disk space, enough RAM, can play good graphics games on it (even thought I don't play mobile games).. Great Camera etc... Really the only thing to improve smart phones these days would be to integrate them into your body lol

How are the AI on console Phil? On PC, They’re not perfect but they’re some of my favourite AI’s. As they can really push, seem to take chances at making passes and don’t back out if you squeeze them. Which makes me wonder if/how the AI is different on console.

Well, without a monitor the last couple of days I've been playing this on the PS4 Pro. I thought the controls for the pad were a bit off at first but I slightly adjusted the sensitivity and all was fine. It's harder than Gran Turismo Sport but more satisfying and you really have to concentrate. The sound is very immersive. Srsly. At this rate they'd be better off milking Warzone for another 15 months and just releasing BO'5' as they would have in 2021. It was tight enough with them taking over Sledgehammer but with Corona on top, it feels like it's gonna be a half-baked product. Warzone has only been out a few months so it would be daft to move players away from that seemingly so soon. They could probably whip up MW2 MP Remastered too.
