  2. i used to play rts mainly from strategy games back when i was younger, but i kinda abandoned the strategy genre and i prefer rpg, action and stealth games nowadays, you know like tes games, the witcher, assassin's creed, batman, crysis, deus ex, dishonored, mass effect, metro, tomb raider, these are the most notable ones i can remember now, i am also trying to get into crpgs, from the old ones to newer ones, i have surviving mars on epic but i haven't even started with the games i have there

    Hello to everyone

Welcome aboard John, nice to have you join this place. What single players games do you play? I tend to stick strategy games on PC like Civ, Stellaris, Surviving Mars.

  4. Hi there and welcome John...I think I can remember playing Red Alert against my son on a LAN set up a long time ago! And the original Doom..made the mistake of playing that SP in the dark one night after the missus had gone to bed..that clunk of locks opening and the boss noises as they enter the level...fecking creepy for someone who doesn’t do horror films! I’m mainly PS4 but I’m also dabbling in PC games again. I’m one of the sites Minecraft dwarves and there’s a small group of us mentored by Phil trying to get into Star Citizen Hope you enjoy your stay with us in one of the calmer areas of the Interwebz...we do have one or two “characters” but we try to keep them safely sedated most of the time 😂😂😂😂

    An overdue return!

Well some of you will remember me from way back in the day. Feels like a lifetime ago we all used to party up and cause havoc. I’m Sean (Glen11) and was a member back on the old Mw2Forum and then converted over to here with the other guys. It’s been a long time since I’ve posted so I’m glad my phone remembered my login or I would have been screwed 😂 I don’t know how active I’ll be but I’ll drop in from time to time. Turns out when you grow up you can’t just sit and play Cod all day... sucks! 😂 I’ve been playing a lot of Warzone lately so looking forward to getting some games in with you all if anyone fancies it 👌🏻 Feel free to say hello. Where’s all the old members at? 😁

  8. Its a very valid reason also some people find out quickly it aint for them once they start. The other main reason is the animals simply dont like the keepers, its not always a can you do it, its mostly will the animal let you do it. Via the FG App

  10. Yeah, I picked one up at release as I needed a new controller and game had an offer on it if you bought it with a bee controller. I found it difficult to clip on to the controller in the first place but it’s simple after that. The options are only for the default playstation buttons but it’s easy to choose which button you want the back buttons to be. Actually using it will be by your own experience. For me, I had to adjust my usual grip of the controller because of where the buttons sit. They also take some getting used to, to press the back buttons rather than move your thumbs. Though I found one evening of CoD was enough to get used to it and a few more to get really comfortable with it. Is it worth it - it seems well made and is useful in certain games and situations though it isn’t cheap for what is essentially 2 buttons.

  13. I honestly wish when I was younger I'd have looked into working with animals as a career. I bloody love all animals! Sadly I think I'm too old now to start doing it.

  14. Welcome to FG man, nice to see you coming over. Couldn't agree with Tommy but that's obvs 😄 (and Phil's right, he's the worst 😉) You exclusively on PC or do you dabble on any other platform? Ever tried Vermintide 2 or Sea of Thieves? Just a couple of games I know we've had fun with for a few people here on PC. Hope you enjoy your stay and get involved where you can.

  19. Ok i know this my seem a bizarre topic but hopefully it may help someone who is struggling to find that dream job working with scaley, cute or cuddly and the big toothies of this world. First and most importantly is compassion, it cant be taught and is the bread and butter of this field. You could have any quals you want but this is what employers look for, which moves us swiftly to the second thing. Volunteer work is your gateway, if you keep turning up to work without pay the pwople running the facility are more likely to employ you over some university/colledge student with a zoology degree because you have hands on experience and not just some facts from a book. Listen to your peers because you'll learn more on the job than in a classroom because every situation is different. Animals are unpredictable they can attack through fear or to assert dominance but there are signs you will be taught by experienced staff that you can only learn with boots on the ground. Whilst volunteering get your quals in any field you wish to specialise in, herpetology and rodentia is what i went for but everyone has a path they must follow. Any questions anyone may have or what quals you need just chuck me a message and ill be more than happy to help out a fellow animal enthusiast. Via the FG App

  20. I always loved cycling and it's a great way to keep you fit if you go pretty far with your bike (used to ride about 16km per day), but for the last two years i seem to have trouble getting on the bike, although i do remember with affection my rides

  21. Sea of Thieves continues to be fleshed out and now has become a pretty fun game with decent content to play. As @phil bottle says, it's not worth a full price, but I'm not sure it's still at that now anyway? Plus it's a great one to play with mates. I only play it when these guys are online.

I had real problems doing the magical shrooms as a youth as just eating shrooms makes me want to puke 🤮

  26. The books would really depend on what type order of animal she was intrested in most and as for volunteering jobs just look online in your local area. I did this and im now on the list for building up pipistrelles before releasing back to the wild. If its for common house pets i suggest dogs trust sspca/rspca. Exotics are harder though local zoos or collections sometimes take on volunteers. Via the FG App

  27. Nice one @Nutcuttlit ! my mum has always wanted to do something like this. A few questions to help her would be ace: Is there any books you can recommend her reading? I'm thinking more to understand about what types of medicines and critical things animals need. What types of volunteering jobs would you suggest doing? Specific animal jobs or general jobs across all like cleaning, feeding, etc? Maybe knowing what you did helps?

  31. One of our community members is heavily involved with RB6, if you check the Shooters section theres a feature on his recent commendation. @The3rdWalker can mostly be found on Discord. Sea of Thieves is fun but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

  32. The routers you get from ISPs are always shit. I have one of these NETGEAR D6400-100UKS AC1600 Dual Band 300 + 1300 Mbps Wireless (Wifi) VDSL/ADSL Modem Router for Phone Line Connections (BT Infinity, YouView, TalkTalk, EE and Plusnet Fibre) (Amazon Echo Enabled): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories SMILE.AMAZON.CO.UK Buy It's very good. I'm with TalkTalk and I got 10Mb/s more on wifi with that router than I did with the TalkTalk router. I think you need an alternative router for sure.

  37. Cheers Nutty, I'll send this to Kurt, he might even sign up and have some questions or whatever. He sounds quite excited at the prospect of working with animals, it's just a case of where to start, so this is fantastic.

  38. Love this thread! I've always loved animals and always thought i'd get into something to do with them if my career in the film industry didn't go anywhere. Once all this is over i may look into possibly volunteering somewhere in London, i'll just have to gage what my wok load will be like when i get back. I do like the idea of working with snakes and exotic animals like you do but i honestly think i'd love working with dogs in a shelter.

  39. Well I think tonight we broke the record for a huge FG Friday on MW:R. A full 18 player lobby with even a few having to wait to get in. Absolutely mental. Shipment Gun Game and Shotguns only never felt so crazy and ludicrous, and even more when we upped the knife kill pushback from 1 to 3. Somehow Tad still managed to win one with 5 push backs and 38 kills. Come to think of it Elliott, Greebs and Stretch did too. The Norwegian Rage Machine. Rage quit. Welcome to Paul Slamminbones for his maiden FG Friday - fit straight in getting 13 melee kills in of the first games he played. I was proud of the troll. Jordie was back too knowing, a d sniping his way to the top too. Crispy was Mr. Sunshine, ofc you never had a doubt that wasn't going to happen, climbing the ladder only to be routed down the leaderboard with knife deaths. Elliott found Ajay's lying prone kill technique absolutely Deplorable- much to the joy of Alex and others for the lolz. Didds yet again shown how amazingly great he is at listening to what we're playing. Like Rich said, he a totally can pick one gun...just the same shotgun for every single game. No killstreak, Sniper Only Domination turned into a grenade fest on B. Not to mention the killstreak choppers. FML. I think we'll need to find a few different game ideas to keep it fresh looking forward with that many people. However, it was a fantastic night of lolz and banter. Great games, great family. @tronic44 @Diddums @Stretch616 @crispymorgan @Shucker @slamminbones @techno @Middle Class Caveman @MrBiron @fg_cal @Greboth @Mikepjbell @Nutcuttlit @jordie1892 @Plumbers Crack @Tadnothad @ChaosGladiator Ajay @GazzaGarratt GGFG all
