    D&D Night!

Baum now has the drider gland, dragon heart and giants spine: Drider Gland - Levitate and darkness spell Dragons Heart - Flight, Produce a breath/Flame, Long Life Giants Spine - Long Life, Regeneration. Matt/Greboths characters were staying out of sight. Lavendar went to kill Arn but was stopped by a second spell. Baum looks up to see Jarlaxl (drow mercenary leader) was responsible. Jarlaxl and Baum know each other. Jarlaxl levitates into the middle of us, and threatens Baum to leave, however Baum must leave Lavendar behind. Jarlaxl got us to fight Lavendar as a test. We beat the shit out of Lavendar and kill her. Jarlaxl states that whilst Lavender was not a good person she was good at what she did. It shows Drow respect warriors. Jarlaxl picks up Lavenders Axe with one hand, which shows how strong he is. Gives it to Breadbin. Azum promises to act as a member of Bragen D'Erth and is given a necklace/pouch with 2 effects: Levitate - once per long rest Contains a coin of bragen D'erth which can be used with thieves guild. Azum promises that once Baum is defeated, he will go back to the underdark to join with Bragen D'erth. The group travel back to Slema and into the Tavern on a quiet afternoon. Jeremy and Miranda are happy to see everyone, particularly Arn. The main group joined a local militia and took out a cult in the early sessions. There are now proper kings guards, who regularly see and hang out with the group. Guard Captain Foundry Finds us at our table in the tavern. We update him on what happened, and a group of people overhear that we killed Lavender and join us at the table. They are keen to hear about the underdark and what we did. We got the posh guard twats to leave and resumed talking to Captain Foundry. Captain Foundry shows a royal parchment which says there have been a series of attacks on villages east of Slema; St Julians, Paceville, Mosta (the coast). The reports suggest they were attacked by the scourge and ghouls. These are unconfirmed reports, it could just be bandits. There is a reward for investigating the attacks all the way to Mosta, requesting eye-witness testimonies from us. Breadbin persuaded Captain Foundry to give us fresh supplies, horses, carriage etc. Father Richards is the local priest, who would be good to talk to about facing undead. Cereny (from thieves guild) might have information about how we can counter the time stop spell in exchange for the coin.

  2. Perfect! Payday 3 was going to be one of our games this year to get into as a group so everyone best get it downloaded!! Cross play too 😄 And High on Life was well received and i've been wanting to try it out since @Riff Machine said it was awesome to play some months ago.

  3. Spurs have some money, they could of brought in a defender and an attacker already. I mean aside from the injuries, Ange needed a bit more depth. Aside from his style and tactics, the players are cooked mentally and physically. Levy on the other hand. 24 years, 16 managers and 1 trophy. Conte, Mourinho, poch are all very good managers and won nothing. At least those 3 had a Harry Kane, a luxury Ange doesn't have. I think people know how Ange likes to play. With Romero and VDV you can get away with it. Without them they are leaking goals and leave too much open space. If spurs play more defensively, they will get called boring.

  4. I jumped back on the original game the other day, which was a mistake as I forgot how much I enjoyed it. I only stopped playing as I'd made a mistake and my most recent save meant I'd lose 2 hours of game. But a few years on those lost hours are meaningless now lol so only Stalker and Tarkov will keep me off it...but its a nice change of pace, and very beautiful too. KCD2 can wait for the next Xmas Steam sale 🤪

    EA FC 25 2025 Stats

Stats updated again this weeK, some things I picked up as well putting them in this week - - Next week will see us hit the number of matches for a Championship season (we need 7 more games). We currently sit on 72 points. In all liklihood we would only need 1 win of those 7 for a play off spot, winning all 7 would see us in most seasons nick an automatic space! Considering how crap we tend to start the new fifa games that to me is not a bad return at all! - @Macca89 despite playing only 5 games last week picked up 3 MOM's and sit's top of the assists with 30 showing he's probably the biggest team player of FG! - @Jamesmade a point of proving me wrong on assists last week by getting 6 (being his current best since I started the stats!) This also moves him into third O/A. - @Antpool84 Is the only person not to have missed a match in 2025 featuring in 44 games! (Note that I don't have the results of the first week hence the difference between his appearances and the points tally above).

  13. I certainly spent a few quid at Thorpe Park and on the Ferry to France playing this in the arcade! Absolute classic but having not played the original remake, I'm not sure how these translate especially with controls. Along with Crazy Taxi, Silent Scope and Time Crisis, it's impossible to recreate the brilliance that arcade machines used to provide. I did have this on the Dreamcast back in the day along with the light gun but I don't remember too much about it.

  14. The 90s was mostly consoles for me, SNES, PS1, N64 in particular...but towards the end of the decade I had a shitty desktop that allowed me to play the likes of Championship Manager and probably my favourite game of the time GTA 2. I did play games like Unreal Tournament on my mate's PC though 🙂

  16. When you get into all the detail I think its easily both sides being completely unprofessional. Owners wise, should have sold the club years ago and they've not done really anything to make a connection with the fans or the town. Kept the lights on, but literally thats it. We've recouped a serious amount of money from players sales over the past 24 months and that has literally gone nowhere other than to the owners to keep lights on. The 'significant investment' words in the recent statement is actually quite laughable. 5 loans, loads of old, past prime players and now we're left with them to pick up wages when we still have a good chance of being in the playoffs come end of the season. Manager wise - it really is an open secret that the club hasn't been flush for cash and we have to be shrewd and clever. He knew what what he was entering and how far the travel was and arguably it isn't that far for a Manager to travel to see the family whenever he wanted to get back. Reports have said for a while he has been applying for jobs behind the official media's noses and thats really not good when he's been preaching the words togetherness. Eustace has been a great manager and overall I'd put blame slightly more on the owners - but the more you read it still is quite insane to leave a club like ours with our history and extremely good youth setup, to go a club that is one of the favourites to go down. The whole lot is just depressing more than anything. Hopefully, the news of this won't die off and it will cause action on both fronts.

  17. I'm shocked Eustace would trade a playoff push for a relegation battle. If he thinks Derby is the best bet going forward then that is a worry for Blackburn but I just wonder if he's using it as an excuse to force a move through. I thought Rovers had a decent window in January and I get he has ties to Derby but it just seems a crazy move especially with them being in a terrible place in the league and off the field.

    Football Manager 2025

Wow, that's a huge disappointment! It's frustrating when expectations don’t meet the reality, especially for a dedicated fanbase. Hopefully, Sports Interactive takes this feedback seriously and puts more effort into aligning with what players actually want. Fingers crossed they course-correct for the next edition!

  20. You should pick up Fm24 with the editor mod and download the retro databases from TheMadScientist. Currently playing an arsenal save that started in the 1998/99 season. Brought in Gabriel Batistuta, a 19 year old Ronaldinho, a 20-year old Nesta and I’ve got Kaka, Robben, Ribery, Eto’o and Vidic in my academy. On the 3rd season atm having won damn near everything 2 yesrs in a row. Current team is attached. Also brought in a 16 year old Lahm who’s already rated at 2 1/2 stars

  21. I would say it's a shame but it's a bit like Fifa in that it does not really change all that much so missing out a year won't matter too much. I can only think they have spent time actually trying to implement something and it has yet to work and in turn it has held up the rest of the project.

Pretty embarrassing for Sony especially with all the money that's involved on the network now with 3rd party games. Activision and Epic must be peeved! Wonder if they are getting DDOS'd like it's 2011 again🤣

    Arma Reforger

Had a couple of sessions now, now that I sort of know what I'm doing it's actually become quite good fun. You can tell there are a lot of new players, people don't understand the supplies in a match and such. There are a few as mentioned before from my battlefield group up for giving it a go and they joined me Saturday just gone and we had good fun with it. I am very skeptical about letting others drive now though as I have died a few times just because people can't stay on the road! There are also some wingebags in some of the lobbies, I drove some supplies to a forward base the other day and because I did not stop to pick someone up (the truck was full mind) he tried to vote to kick me, he also began a vote to kick someone only minutes later in the same base I was gathering supplies for de spawning vehicles then proceeded to try and run to the forward bases 😄 I had some great gun fights, fighting in the streets at the port was great and people could really hole up in some of the buildings, where some games you would just drive a vehicle in i.e. battlefield and knock it all down or it would be a run and slide into a building. Here it just felt like a warzone, well calculated attacks and making the most of cover and such. Playing it on your own strikes me as less fun unless you are in a decent lobby, but working as a squad, moving up and flanking enemies and such together it can be great when it works. We snuck up on a sniper on a cliff the other evening after he picked 1 or 2 of our guys off and my friend bayonetted him which was quite entertaining. It will definately get more game time from us I think.

  36. So despite never having a vastly powerful computer when I was younger, our house saw a few windows computers pass through it. I remember there being a windows 98 machine and it being my first forray into pc gaming. When I say my first forray my parents never really bought us any games and I made do with some dodgy copies mostly that a friend used to give me at school. This thread is just to discuss some of those experiences and moments and seeing if anyone else here was gaming in the 90s / early 2000s. So to start this off I am going to look at one of the games that came with the computer and led to one of my first experiences of football manager games - Ultimate Soccer Manager 98/99 - Now I have opted for this one because I have been going through the abandonware website looking at old games with the hope of getting a few running. This one worked straight away with no faff and the screenshot above is from my machine this evening 😄 The things I always remember about this game was that it wasn't just the coaching side of things but you used to be able to upgrade the ground, look at sponsorship deals and such. We won't forget some of the incredible players back then as well -

  38. Keep forgetting about this game as it has a messy history....but it is due to release in 2025 and could be a game of the year contender if it's anywhere near the original. There's a thread for the first game with some previous videos for this sequel but i think it deserves it's own thread 🤗

    90s / 00s pc gaming

Delta force just looks like the original Far Cry / Wildlands game? I fully agree with you James, the innovation that came through then led to such big jumps between games it was probably gaming's golden era really. The current market is stagnated and I find myself struggling to pick up some games as they are generally rehashes or reskins of games from yesteryear. One of my favourite strategy games back then was a game called Skull Caps, a sequel to Baldies. Both were great fun games albeit I can not get the latter one to run anymore-

  41. It's not propaganda - it's one thing taking pictures of waving and (out of context) gestures of people (who are equally unpopular in their own right) but Elon's 'salute' was a full-blown mimicking action and this is off the back of political and societal stances he houses, so whether there was any malice or if it was just an awkward moment from a immature 53 year old, it doesn't really set a good example. This happening off the back of him getting into petty squabbles with gamers and then trying to ruin their livelihoods because they outed him and a dishonest person. If I go into a room of important people and shove my middle finger in all their faces, I can't turn around and say it was a harmless misunderstanding, unintentional and I didn't know how it would reflect.

  42. Delta Force - 1998. I recall that within the box it also had a help card that would fit seamlessly over your keyboard to help you work out what each button was back then, which was so cool. Loads of multiplayer on this too back on the old dial up connection with NTL. Before this - and I'm cheating a little here because it was made in 1988 for PC but I played it in the 90s - F19 Stealth Fighter. Man, I was crap at it, but when I lucked out and completed a mission, it felt like I'd won the lottery.

  44. Our first PC was an IBM Aptiva in 1995 but despite it being an amazing multimedia device, it wasn't ideal for gaming as it only had 75mhz and 8mb RAM along with a 500mb drive. Most of my games were from 1993-97 with the likes of Doom, Heretic, Stonekeep, Actua Soccer, IndyCar Racing, Championship Manager 2, Stonekeep, Virtual Snooker plus the original Tomb Raider. I had a N64 and PS1 on the side so I didn't mind not playing the latest releases from 1998 where you really needed at least 133mhz and 16mb RAM. Windows 95 was awesome though and it was one hell of a step up from the shitty RM Nimbus PC's we had at school! We finally got a new PC in 2000 which was cheaper than the £1800 Aptiva but it was pretty high-end at the time. The backlog I had was insane - had the Half Life collection to sift through plus new titles like Deus Ex, SWAT 3, Project IGI and the PC came with Age of Empires 2 which I played the hell out of. I picked up all the Championship Manger games - 3 up to 04/05 and also classics like Commandos 2, No One Lives Forever, Call of Duty, Battlefield 1942, Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, Thief 1+2, Unreal Tournament, Quake 3, Counter Strike and Max Payne. The choice was absolutely insane and it was a great time for gaming because of the sheer potential and endless possibilities. A game from 5 years ago is no different to now but back in those days, the level of innovation in hardware and software was so big, you'd go from Doom to Half Life and all the games in between. The industry now is brickwalled and stagnant.
