I played 3 matches on the Beta today. It's Advance Warfare named B07. Wall jumping, double jump, OCD movement. I'm not going to be playing that shit Guess they didn't get the memo last time about that movement non sense

    Borderlands 4

Yep, first two were excellent and had a certain charm to them, I enjoyed them a lot. If I want a Borderlands experience I can always go back to them, 2 still holds up really well.

    Borderlands 4

I've not really bothered watching this games promos as I got bored with the series and don't like mandy prickford who makes it. Looks much the same other than it seems to need some optimisation, pretty standard these days lol

  4. It gets worse. I have it for free because of Game pass which I will cancel once my price goes up. But it was just sitting there waiting to be played yesterday when I looked so I figured I would give it a go. Time would have been better spent watching reruns of Mr Bean for the 30th time

  5. Anyone got this yet? Was released at very short notice after 7 years of development the other day and costs less £16/$20. It had 3m wishlists on Steam alone and actually crashed every store front when it launched. Just shy of 600,000 players on Steam in the first few hours. There's even other indie developers moaning about how popular and cheap it is plus how they didn't give enough notice to other studios about the launch. Literally the same situation as when Baldurs Gate 3 angered other bitter devs about the success of their game. I'm actually playing the original right now and it seems a really unique game. Surprised I didn't pick it up sooner. It's basically a Metroidvania Dark Souls. If I keep at it then I'll definitely grab Silksong even at full price.

  6. Loved the first game but the second i swerved as it changed what was good about the original, with floaty parkour and they also nerfed night-time. This looks like a return to form.

  7. As i did both the first and second game only seems right I have to get this one. Haven't even seen any clips or read up on this one.

Compared to what though? Does my shotgun shoot in waves? does my pistol turn into a grenade? Do I have to listen to Villains talk like drunk white frat boys attempting to sound like hip hop artists? BL1 had a solid balance IMO of gimmicky weapons, and dialogue that was funny. IDK man, these games are clearly not for me, I'm going to go yell at kids on my lawn

Do like me, buy 3 years after release, I'm having fun on bf5 and there are a lot of people ! 😁 The beta didn't convince me. I have high hopes for the mod portal and modding (I don't know much about it), but I'll be keeping a close eye on its release.

  11. Good old Channel 5 Chelsea with LeBoeuf, Kevin Hitchcock, Michael Duberry and Graham Le Saux. That was their standard until the dirty money came in and they bought success. Sadly just like City, nothing will happen with this.

I didn't even bother picking up Borderlands 3 when it was £2.99 so I doubt I'll pick this up. Apparently it's plagued with performance issues and invisible walls that completely restrict the playing space. I'm sure the story is better than the last game but that isn't much of a feat really. The first two were great games but this is something I can't really be bothered with now.

Treyarch added a classic matchmaking playlist where skill was only used minimally and it was absolutely fantastic. Getting into a game took a few seconds and it didn't feel like you were getting screwed by the matchmaking system if you did well, plus I was always in lobbies with a ping of around 9ms rather than it jumping between 9ms and 40ms. It was actually fun. It shows just how ridiculous SBMM is in this COD and how the system will prioritise skill over connection. Hopefully they'll use that system going forward but I doubt it. If they remove it then they're fucked IMO as they've shown players how the game could play if it wasn't for their SBMM system so those players just won't get the game.

  17. Got an email the other week. Reebok have created 3 different unique Playstation 1 styled trainers, one for each region. UK Version US Version Japan Version I actually really like the US Version way more than the others, shame we can't get them over here! Does any of these jump out for anyone else? Should be available mid October to buy.

  20. I have nosed at game pass recently there are a few games on there I could quite happily play and may still pick up (not ultimate mind). That said you can see that there must be issues behind the scenes financially with everything they produce at the moment going up and up in price, I do think that with some of their recent acquisitions they must not have made anywhere near the amount of money they needed to, to justify the purchases. That said if Sony keep their subscription as is I can see it really pushing Microsoft's Xbox side of things further down the crapper.

  24. If you do please keep me updated, I want to buy it but have Fifa and Battlefield as purchases soon so I can probably afford another biggish game at a push so will take a bit longer seeing what reviews are like on things before picking one (or maybe pick up a new retro title).

Sadly, until people stop pre-ordering, and buying during the first week, this sort of behavior from studios will continue

  26. This looks much better and I think it's free to all owners of Dying Light 2 premium. I don't think I'll be paying £50 though so I will wait for a sale. The original was iconic but I never got round to the second one as they made some foolish mistakes and it took them 2-3 years to fix them to a degree. Even then, it didn't look like it was anywhere near as good as the original which has aged like fine wine and I still regard that as having one of the best atmospheres in gaming. It's an incredible deal if you can play this for free though!

You can't play for more than 30 minutes without the framerate taking a nosedive on consoles. The solution? Restart your game 🤣 There is absolutely no way in hell that Gearbox didn't know this was an issue before release. Unless they didn't play test their own game.

I hear there's going to be some kind of update on the single player before the end of the month. That's all I really want to know about now and the only thing likely to tempt me into an October purchase.

  30. Now added to Steam. It's free, so its getting a lot of people playing. Good game, not bad for a Tarkov rip off to be fair and they've dialled back the pay to win elements, which is nice.

I still prefer 1, but 2 wasn't bad. Tiny Tina ruined it for me. That and the constant need to have weapons do things other than shoot straight was just way to much.

Randy Pitchfork making a complete tit of himself as usual. He stated to expect performance issues and when people start complaining having bought the game about the woeful problems that were far worse than he remotely suggested, he takes it out on the customers. There's people reportedly getting under 60fps on 5090's. 34. I actually preferred playing FM on mobile as it was a slimmed down version similar to the old Championship Manager games. Hopefully this interface will be much more user friendly and less overwhelming to navigate.

    Battlefield 6

It was even going for £2.99 on Steam. I still didn't buy it🤣 The amount of content you get at launch on these games is minimal and we've already experienced half the original maps of BF6 just from playing the beta alone and I must admit I was bored of all of them in just a few hours. The only bad thing about not playing the latest MP game at launch is you miss the game at its peak when the community is alive. I'm really not sure I can justify paying £60 for this though and I'm not sold on how the developers are taking this game forward along with EA's long term vision of the franchise.

    Battlefield 6

Games have literally doubled in price in the last 10 years and i'm being a lot more careful where I spend my money these days. I'll be hanging back and see how BF6 plays out before I consider it. But yes I agree, Battlefield used to serve a particular niche that they seem to be turning their backs on. It looks like a decent upgrade on COD but its not Battlefield any more. Such is life 🙃

  41. They look like ass, so much ass that even the manager can barely stand to look at them 😂 I did think they’d do better, 1-0 loss to arsenal wasn’t dsmning, but holy fuck have they just kicked themselves in the face since. Unless someone puts on teir big boy pants and start putting in some effort soon I predict another lower half finish for them which is wild as about 2 weeks ago I would have said they’d probably be challenging for top 6.

    007 First Light

I know its easy to hammer this, but in a weird way it reminds me of when you feel you don't want to watch a really thought provoking movie, so you just find the best simplistic action movie from the 80s/90s because you know what to expect. It feels comfortable and for those reasons, I actually look at and think I'd defo play this 🤣🤣 Just like Mafia games, a simple level design with basic combat. Lets hope its an easy Platinum @slamminbones👀 That being said, I wouldn't pay AAA prices at all. Pretty sure 1-2 months afterwards, the game will be on sale around £40.

  44. The first football manager video game came out in the early 80s on ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64 and was recently re-made for mobile.... and completely under my radar was also released on Steam last month. I played it when I was 10 years old 😍 It costs £4.99 and I've bought it to play on SteamDeck. Expecting nostalgia to take over when I try it out in a bit. I loved the original, so let's see if I can take York City back to the 1st Division 🫠
