    Crimson Desert

I managed a couple of hours on this yesterday evening. As it suggested using a controller I decided I might give it a go with my Steam Link, which lets me play it on my TV. After literally 42 updates to the device (been a while since I used it lol) I played an hour on my TV. However, 1080p on a 4K TV, it didn't look great, so I went back on my PC monitor. I played it at 1440p and it looked beautiful, I was very surprised my card could handle it but I was getting just over 60fps on medium settings. What an amazing card it is, they've never made a better one imo. The good. I like the game a lot, it definitely scratched a certain itch. I think I'm going to want to spend a lot of time on it. I might start over on kb&m. It was fine with a controller but we'll see. I like going to chat with NPCs and they've got an assortment of English, Welsh, Scottish and Irish accents which is pretty cool. I've watched a few tips videos and the first thing I did was ring the town bell to open up more of the map. The game is massive. The bad. It crashed three times in two hours. Now that's annoying. Fortunately it autosaves whenever you do anything interesting, so no progress was lost. Hopefully more patches to the game will fix that. All in all I'm glad I picked it up. Not for £35 in the end, as that turned out to he a weird deal involving playing on another account...

This game looks incredible, demo is out for free and seems to have quite a lot of content. I’m definetly enjoying it as so far and it looks like this might be what I was hoping Skull & Bones would be. Looks like it’ll be solo or group pve, not sure if that will change to include pvp later.

From what I’ve seen you can host co-op sessions with 4 people. But I dunno if that will change as there’s supposedly actual servers coming too.

New trailer showing a lot more stuff and some they have already shown too. Looks like there will be boss battles and also settlements. I got about 10 hours in the demo so far, no more quests to do but I can still sail around and sink ships or build my own little settlement further. Building in this game is smooth as hell btw, when placing foundations, walls or roofs you can just keep holding the mouse button down and drag it to build multiple of what you want as long as you have the materials, and any resources inside chests within your landclaim is automatically used.

  5. Hi guys, Im new to the forum...and thought I'd post a competition i run ... I run a football prediction app with a twist.... The game is predicting Both teams to score - (aka The Chris Kamara club) Pick 8 fixtures per week from the major English divisions. 1 point for a team in your selection that scores a goal or more. (16 points max) This current season there are 22 players all entering a 1 time payment of £10 at the start of the season which goes into a prize pool plus a small payment to the site running costs (shared small cost depending how many enter). THE COMPETITION IS NON PROFIT Here are some screenshots below. The app iss fully live and automatically scored using an api and live page updates to the scores. live results page: if you are interested in joining for the 26/27 season or want more information - contact me here. Thanks, Nathan - a spurs fan!

  6. Another terrible managerial appointment by Tottenham I think. Once again they haven’t listened to the Supporters Trust, so what was the point of setting that up?

You can also adopt them and dress them up as well... There is a bit of a thing online of people amassing collections of them 😄

I was busy this weekend and didn't get much chance to game but I did manage a couple of hours last night. Really enjoying the game so far, I'm still exploring the starting area, I've been sneaking into manor houses and looking for loot. Some have stongboxes with puzzles to navigate and these have items that help buff you up. Still getting to grips with a pretty complex control system. As I said in my Steam review, whoever designed the keyboard layout was obviously drunk. It's a really enjoyable game and I think I'll be playing it lot. Oh yes, you can pick up cats and pet them 🥰

I took the dive this morning, and yea, there is literally nothing on there that is interesting. No lie though, I am happy to hear that someone else feels the same way, because I thought it was just me

I have seen those sort's of deals and really skeptical, I feel like you would buy it and they would reset the password somehow and steal the account back. I played a bit more yesterday and I think it was growing on me more and more, as you say it scratches an itch but I'm not entirely sure what itch that is 😄 It's not perfect by any means but it's big, there appears to be quite a bit to do and explore and you have to just keep in mind that the game is initially a sandbox to play in and then the story is a secondary feature. I suppose a bit like how Fallout 76 turned out and how Outward is meant to be I think?

So I have had a couple of hours on it now so I will give you a rundown of the key areas of a game for me:- Visually it looks great for the most part, there are elements where the textures appear quite rough though, I am sure you will have seen the waterfalls online as one example. Story I think is ok so far though it's a little what the hell is going on at the start but it is slow going, I have read like above that the first few hours it takes a bit to get going and I am seeing that. Gameplay I think is somewhat weak, not for the fact there isn't much there but I think there is too much and it throws everything at you quite quickly, the number of controls / button presses I have been given in the first couple of hours is mad. I do think this would be better on PC rather than PS5 where you can much more easily customise your controls I imagine. I think you can see where the MMO rubs off from their previous game, there are elements like the knowledge that I am fairly sure comes from Black Desert from memory. I don't think it explains stuff particularly great, it tries to but sometimes I still don't feel like I fully understand how to do something, it would be good if there was someway to go back and review a tutorial item or something. World building from what I have seen so far is great, it's huge, there's not too much hand holding but enough some people won't moan. I don't know yet how invested I will get in places. There seems to be a wealth of things to do with mini games and such Then as far as a game goes I think it's actually quite fun, when I said there was a lot in it before, there are things in this game that you would not typically put in a medieval setting. The dev's have not forgotten this is a game, that they can do whatever they want and don't have to follow a formula or I don't know, this is a medieval game so everyone must follow a certain style. I think of Witcher and every character was the same, the combat is what you would expect of it but with this I have no idea what is going to be given to me or thrown at me next. It is not polished, it does not feel like a Rockstar game or a Nintendo Zelda but I am having fun with it so far especially now the game's opening up a bit and there is a bit more direction with quests that need completing and such. Oh the arm wrestling mini game will ache your thumb it's horrible 😄 I have yet to come across any bugs on the PS5 and I had heard there were a few issues.

  15. Sigh… I swear you could put Kepa in goal behind Maldini, Vidic, Desailly and Cafu all in the primes and he’d still find a way to concede a goal. I actually had high hopes going into the match until I saw him on the teamsheet 🤦‍♂️

I kind of need to upgrade my PC to play this game properly. If the ram crisis calms down I want to upgrade at the start of autumn but will see, PC gaming is mind blowingly expensive right now. But yes, I'm glad they're still busy making this game better and better.

  17. Yeah I enjoyed it, we tried to get Mart going on it last night but I think he may have been too tired to get his head round some of it. I can see me getting back into this a little bit even if it's just pottering about completing the game. I didn't get far through this when I played last time around but did have a lot of fun with the first Division! It still looks great, I enjoy the atmosphere and I always enjoy a good post apocalyptic style game.

You’ll get quite a few hours out of it before you run out of quests. Still worth playing after though if you enjoy building

  19. Realism mode leaves a lot to be desired, no loot gets dropped and the shooting mechanics aren't quite up to scratch for more nuanced gunplay. However was fun jumping on with Lee, Matt and Crispy on the standard game last night 🖤❤️

Great find Seb @ChaosGladiator. Definitely looks like some great fun and a solid mix of building with exploring/fighting. Sea of Thieves is a fun game to play with a bunch of us, but I do miss that slightly styled Black Flag game we had years ago that had lots of mini games and quests to achieve. How many are allowed in a co-op group on the game?

Looks fantastic tbh. The puzzles, albeit seem very hard, will keep the game fresh and wanting you to discover more and more of the world. I think I may have to add it on my list too. £50 for PS5 is extremely good price online right now for a large open world game.

A game in development I've had my eye on recently, kind of a DayZ in America. The devs seem cool and once they have a playable version I'll definitely give it a go. There's an option in Steam to request access : )
