  1. A huge congratulations to @GazzaGarratt and Coundon Court this week! "Not only Club Development Club of the Year....but we're ALSO BCFA GRASSROOTS CLUB OF THE FUCKING YEAR!!!!!!!!!!❤️🖤" (Lee's words not mine 🤣) This man works his arse off day in and day out on all fronts and deserves every bit of good that comes his way! Congratulations Lee! You deserve it! Also a big shout out to @Findmartin who ran his first kids training sessions for comets last night, Comets is set up associated with Coundon Court that helps teach kids with disabilities how to play football, both lee and martin have had a huge role in helping comets get where it is today, however Martin ran his first session last night and it went incredibly well! I've had this one on my backlog for a while now, and I have no idea why I haven't played it before now, because DAMN Okay, so its a Zombie apocalypse/ City Builder type game. It takes Google Maps data to create your play area..... I started a map, with my house as the HQ, and it has been amazing so far. You can create any location in the world. The game uses the map data to sort out how difficult of a time you will have. Cities obviously are the worst locations. The maps are not perfect, in that it assumes the sizes of the houses based off of google footprint. So in my case it has my house slightly smaller than it actually is, because the google map image isn't current. (See the screenshots below) You can dismantle houses for resources, and you find settlers all over the place. There is a story, that I won't spoil because I think I am about a third of the way through it, I could be wrong there though. I am way to busy farming resources to build a fortress to worry about other survivors in DC and Baltimore. Two gripes people have about the game: Zombies can cross any body of water, so can your squads. The Dev's did this for pathing reasons, as the game is still in Early Access, and I guess trying to differentiate water on a google map is hard when importing data. IDK, it doesn't' phase me, I just build more walls Radio transmissions are frequent, and can't be ignored. You have to choose an option, but luckily it does pause the game for you. That being said if you don't choose an option quickly the npc's will get grumpy. So the screenshots I am attaching are of my play area. The "Star" is my house, the HQ, the rest are shelters, and warehouses I am setting up, along with some build orders, etc. I zoomed really far out for these so you could see the street names and more of the play area.

Looks like Sony started issuing no questions asked refunds. Also Cohh's sponsored stream was cancelled at the last minute to avoid further humiliation for the publishers. System-wide refunds may be on the cards and this could be another write-off.

  6. First Person mode and Third Person mode confirmed and you can flip between the two during the game. Sounds like a really interesting take. You do find the later games do really well with the newer generation of RE followers. They love First Person. Us oldies may enjoy the nostalgia of some third person in certain areas.

    Siege X

This does look like they've gone down an interesting road. I think Siege unfortunately suffers from what many existing live service games have - ability to be a really good game...but only when you've learned all the characters and the maps, otherwise its a steep curve to get success. I'd like to give it a go though and its a good thing some of the options are free to play too!

    Witcher 4

That as a tech demo is probably something we have all been waiting to see on a PS5 since it launched. I think most people will need to at least try this game out to see and feel how it plays. I've started to try and play Witcher 3 but I must admit that the controls do feel clunky so hopefully that will be updated to feel more inline with most other games that are currently out.

  18. So I had not planned to with selling the house currently but I generally can't resist a console launch. Got up launch day morning and thought I would have a look at the Argos near me, lo and behold they had some in stock so now I am a happy owner of a new console and the new mario kart. I have only briefly played it thus far and will give it some more time the weekend but initial thoughts. So the biggest thing I have noticed so far really is the quality of life improvements, this console is very much an improvement on the original Switch which in itself was a great console. The larger screen, the HDR, the joycons feel better build quality and the device itself feels more premium. Then the eshop works immensely better than it does on the OG, it was always my biggest gripe with the OG console and the lending of virtual games, I intend to package up my OLED and give it to the kids for Christmas this year. Setting up the family and being able to lend them games will be great, it suddenly gives them quite a large library of games to play straight off without faffing about so much with primary and secondary consoles and such. Mario Kart seemed fun as it always does, the open world aspect seems a bit of a bolt on rather than a key feature of the game which is surprising. I was expecting a more Forza type experience if I'm being honest. I have also continued my Pokemon playthrough on this and it is noticeably better in terms of performance and visuals. I think the big test for me is I am yet to play tears of the kingdom, I think I will pay the 7.99 upgrade and give that a go and see how it looks and how that performs over the weekend.

    Witcher 4

Visually it looks brilliant, I just wonder how the series will cope moving onto a new protaginist. Though we know Ciri's story for some we have had 3 games of Geralt's character development and seeing a whole story arc go through it's motions. I think it will rest on the writer's somewhat who presumably have created a whole new story for the next chapter of the Witcher games. That said I will be diving right into this as the third game is still my favourite to date despite the clunky combat.

    Bungie's Marathon

Bungie have today announced that Marathon has been delayed indefinitely and a new release date will be issued towards the end of the year. Honestly, I'd probably just cancel it altogether and cut the losses. A 6 month delay at the very least wont give them enough time to replace all the stolen assets, reshape the gameplay into something engaging and appealing, plus deliver a long-term strategy where the game remains viable for both players and publisher.

I ventured into the forum and saw a few suspects who pre-ordered The Day Before previous, who were literally bumming the game. Don't know why people have a fetish in buying into shit games and defending products they literally have no idea about. Leslie Benzies is pretty washed in the industry now and was blinded by NFT's and Crypto so the GTA and Blockchain bollocks probably got a few deluded people on board but any proper gamer with a brain could see this was absolute slop nonsense with no substance.

As expected, this game is shite. The fact that the publisher tried to convince everyone that the bad reception prior to launch was Rockstar bots causing disarray becomes even more hilarious. 40% positive on Steam, about 1200 reviews and no more than 3.5k players and falling massively. It's also emerged that this was once-part of a NFT platform which would explain a lot as the game does remember part-asset flip and part ulterior motive.

  34. I'm still alive well just barley if last night's run is anything to go by. Last week I ran a total of 66km on the weekend was 42km and thats working a total of 18 hours. Got home a little late got my hydration bag chucked a lucozade some nuts a energy bar and my lights just I'm case in got dark. All went ok with the run it was the after math about 1 hour after it felt like something broke inside of me something left me was an emotional wreck then couldn't sleep so did some research as it happens it's quite common in some runners.

These games always get discounted early on - usually after 4 weeks the 'premium' edition reduces to that of the base game price and then a month or so after that you can usually get 33% off the standard. By the time the football season starts you can grab it for half price and then it's 75% off going into the new year. It's a great purchase after Christmas although the game is on its last legs at that stage but it's still great value. EA just bank on people to buy into it within the first month when things are fresh and everyone is playing. I'll probably grab this for under a tenner next January just for the single player.

  37. I watched Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning the other day and enjoyed it. I did think the film was a bit long though and it was bloated with too many characters and poorly written exposition. Some strong character performances especially from the villains and the action was plentiful.

  38. It was a pretty one sided game from the off. I thought Inter would give then a good game but no...and they wasted the few chances they had. Should also say i think defenders who hold their hands behind their back get what they deserve 🙈

  45. I think so. He deserves to stay and although this is the worst domestic season I have ever witnessed, you can't really sack a manger who delivers such a big trophy and it would be very damaging for the reputation of the club at what should be a period of celebration. We all remember the Mourinho debacle where he was sacked just before the League Cup Final he helped Spurs get into and the horrible knock-on effect that had on and off the pitch for years. I did think Ange should go regardless, a couple of months back but I think there is a much more positive vibe around the club and this season in the league could just be written off instead. It should be a huge confidence-boosting thing and it's also a good fuck you to the media and the banterers. It'll be tough for him to build a Champions League worthy team in such a short space of time and it will be very costly but any sign of an upturn would be a huge positive. If it continues like this into the new campaign where Spurs are rooted to the basement then he probably will have to go but he will still leave a legend. The recruitment team will need to buck up their ideas and Levy will have to dig even deeper.
