  1. @Diddums @techno I personally think now we're in the best space we've ever been to actively complete raids each week and have enough openings and opportunity for people that play 24/7 to the people that want to have fun just experiencing and get the kick out of completing just one raid. We're lucky to have the likes of @Baabcat , @RenFengge and @Leeesh13 who have picked up creating multiple events after i've continued to do it for so long that if people know where to look and hopefully speak up, then they'll always be an option for anyone, regardless of skill level. Also, I hope that you both do more raids over coming weeks, other FGers that are a little more silent/shy on this matter will definitely start to speak up a bit more and try and get themselves on one. You'll give them the initial confidence they need. 👊👍 Bringing it back to this thread, I think its perfectly okay that we have experienced people and new people that want to challenge themselves a little more and what we'll do here is balance out still mostly doing 6-man raids but making sure there's pockets of time for this stuff too.
  2. I wanted to give a heads up that I might not be around for this one although I will want to try it at some point in the future. I know that this will need a good few hours available as you have to start and try again at any one person wiping. I'll probably look at these in a few weeks onwards if thats okay for me 🙂
  3. They do tbh - Master difficulty exists for VoG and they have said they are adding future Master difficulties to them. Some people want a different challenge to pick up numerous roles in a smaller team issall. The Master difficulties give out subtely better loot e.g. Timelost versions of the weapons which give extra mod/perks. Not sure why we don't get many people trying them? I'd definitely be up for trying Master versions of the raids too btw alongside these!
  4. Yeah its just for completion of activities @Diddums and having fun findign different ways to play the game - it will obviously also make more people confident in standard 6-man raids too. I actually think more play Destiny than before. Its the busiest and most active FG has been, which is not usually seen in longstanding games. What I'd say to the effort and willingness is that you are spot on with that you just need to ensure you keep enough time aside to give these a real good go. Maybe its also agreeing that ech time a slot is open for these things, you try for 3 hours and by the end you're not getting to the end its okay to say that you'll finish the practicisng there if you agree at the start (not everyone has 6 hour stints available i believe). Also, that effort extends to talking on here too though, including creating events and clicking the buttons 😄 I'd argue thats the easiest bit of effort to put into, but we really need to pull together to make this stuff happen 👊🤗
  5. We'll see if we can get the stream back up and bang some legendary goals in with a full 11 of FG's finest! RSVP please! GGFG
  6. I like the idea of this first ad-hoc one to be 2 races of what you guys think is best but essentially not much practice time for both, a qualy on grid for first race and second race a complete reverse grid with like 10-15 mins to practice. It would be ace to see some of us pick it up for just the ad-hoc nights as we should be rested from any intense wheel to wheel action by now!!😅
  7. Yep, good point. I looked at the calendar and other raid releases after my post and its very possible it'll be March 12th, giving just under 2 weeks from live launch. I really don't think the requirements will be too much for contest mode due to the Power level grind these days isn't as bad as it was in the past.
  8. We organised 1 full team that gave Deep Stone Crypt a go on Day 1, managed to pull together 2 full fireteams for the refreshed Vault of Glass Day 1 as well...and this time out it feels like we have more than ever around to try out the new raid on Day 1, but also on Day 2 as soon as contest mode comes to an end. I want this topic to capture everyone's interest at FG, so please pick an option on the Poll but ALSO please PLEASE, comment below on how you're feeling and if there's anything specific to mention. I genuinely think we won't have to grind too hard for Day 1 at all due to contest mode. However, the more power you can get up, the easier it will be to take damage from Day 2 of the raid, which is always a huge difference from past experience. I'd love to get 3 or even 4 teams to do it on Day 1 at FG! At the end of the day, yes, we all want to complete it but very rarely a Day 1 squad gets through it. It really is for the FG ride and experience and working out the puzzles after going in blind without looking at anyone else! Taking 7 hours with @Baabcat , @Greboth, @Bluebear , etc on Day 1 for Deep Stone Crypt and beating only the first puzzle was insane but probably a better feeling than sometimes completing raids even now 😄 So, who's in FG! Lets make this 2022 a bloody good one to help one and all 👊 P.S. Week One completion usually gives you access to buy something pretty unique at the Bungie Store. My coat from Deep Stone Crypt is probably one of the best things i've ever owned too and a great reminder of what that week was like 🧡
  9. We're on our way to do a plentiful of raids this year, probably the most we've ever done (again!) which is insane. Some of the more experienced folk here want to start trying "low-manning" raids, so essentially rather than a full fireteam, try 5, 4 and 3 man raids. Sometimes this can sound more daunting to some and others I know they are very interested but probably don't know how to say or ask if they can be a part of one. So let's use this thread to capture your interest and work out what to do in terms of planning time, dates and then loadouts. Let's be clear from the outset, i'm sure this is something that takes time to achieve and usually always longer than 6-man raids. We all need to have a patience with one and another and also be happy to commit the little extra time you may need in that 2,3,4 hour raid. I'm sure the expereinced ones can chime in and explain when we need longer slot times for specific raids. So, lets chime your name below and also good to here about which ones to start off 5 or 4 manning with if people can share this too? 👍
  10. If we have coins can I suggest we all focus on buying every book available at the vendors. We can then bring them back and put them in the box for everyone so we can all get the extra perks. I know Dave @Plumbers Crack and myself require Art of Mining Vol.4 to complete the set I believe. That also gives us Blackstrap coffee which is amazing fix whilst mining! Other major ones to look out for others are: Wasteland Treasures Vol.5 (Harvest door knobs from most doors) The Art of Mining Vol.5 (You can craft basic resources like ore into compact stacks) Wasteland Treasures Vol.7 (Harvest more lead and brass from sinks) Lucky Looter Vol.3 (Find more brass in loot) The Great Heist Vol.5 (Fall great distances!)
  11. I better start watching this then. I might refresh myself first on the films before as its been a while since I watched Karate Kid. Still worth watching all the films first or just the first one?
  12. That looked incredible. Really enjoyed that, especially when you find you're egging him on to overtake the next few cars! I'm nstalling the Playstation 4 version later I think so hopefully will try it over the weekend if we get time. May soon be time to dust off the wheel once again...
  13. Need to find some time to watch it. I expect a great series though, considering how well made Mandalorian was. Good to know it feels different enough to be interesting though so far 👍 How many series will it have if anyone knows?
  14. Well, 2022 is here and I must say its been fab to see even more FGers actually returning and actively playing Destiny 2, especially since November. The raids have been an absolute joy to be a part of and thanks to @Leeesh13 and @RenFengge for supporting me getting multiple events up to give people choices of what to crack on with. I think whats definitely helped is the variety and how all the raids are being tried - week after week. I personally LOVED learning Riven legit last week and completing the Last Wish raid. I'm personally not that bothered about the rewards, just enjoying the runs, even though this is a great time if people want to look out for certain weapons, armour and specific rolls of stuff. I'm gonna be planning some other goals as such for us all to help with so this is also a reminder to use these threads and info as i'd love to start seeing daily updates as to what has gone on yesterday in certain raids, even if its just to say "another DSC raid done with FG, well done @blah blah blah, etc". This will really help with what i'm trying to set up overall for 2022 at FG. Sharing is caring!
  15. Jesus. Great video. The last few minutes is very telling if it helps people save some time aswell. Such a shame. My lad has it but hasn't tried it yet. Its not worth the money for any of us here I don't believe.
  16. We have it on for tonight's FG Friday game alongside Fall Guys so make sure you check the events out and RSVP if you're coming!!
  17. Just keep on ensuring the FG 7 days megathread for this server is kept upto date with our escapades and any support/help required and that way we'll all know what each other are doing 👍
  18. Welcome back to FG, Nolan! Sure is nice to see old faces returning 😄 I'm Lee, and mostly live around here these days for my sins. Many of us are on Playstation and PC but with crossplay now it really helps with anything we play going forward. 🙂 Defo a few people play Apex and a few on Vanguard too. Ironically, a few of us brits had reinstalled Fortnite to give it a go again...its really not that bad! Although the building still kills it for us oldies 🤣 What consoles do you own atm? Awesome to hear, funnily enough I know that company as we briefly looked at it at one stage. Super glad you're enjoying it mate. Feel free to look around and get involved everywhere and anywhere you can! Looking forward to some games online mate...don't forget to look at events every so often. We do FG Fridays and some games are definitely crossplay there too 😄
  19. both are crossplay - we will be in the playstation chat though as everyone attending will be pretty much be on there. Really hope you can join mate! What we can try and do is join the discord chat at the same time but i doubt all will do that.
  20. @phil bottle, do you think this game could ever work on a console at all? It has such a good following and looks really inviting but I worry that i would want to use a controller rather than M&K with this and i'm not sure it works well with the stuff you pick up, etc.
  21. Not a great deal of info in terms of what it looks like, retails for, etc. I expected one to be made due to the fact that you have to order a free adapter for the current PSVR to work on a PS5.
  22. Its okay if we can't make this one happen. There's been a lot of raids completed of late so i'd take it as this one won't happen unless you see a sudden spike in people responding to this event later on.
  23. Steve, I've let it to go on for a few messages but the derail of this thread stops here. I'll also hide the messages in a few days because contrary to what you said above, this place has changed for the better, very much so, in all departments. We make a real difference to people's lives now, not just in gaming terms. Years ago maybe less so, but there's unequivocal evidence (and a bucket load of it) now that backs that statement up. The fantastic and really valuable posts in this thread alone should be the ones having more airtime than a direct response/attack to a person after they replied with a critique to the book you were talking about, not yourself.
  24. I think when there sounds like a lot of content the problem with these live games, not just Destiny, is that they always 'carry on' so in some ways you sub-consciously think you have to keep playing. Where in actual fact they've been pretty clear now to remind players that other games do exist. They know their generic playerbase is far better served when they play a few nights a week which stops the burnout, like you've felt once again as all you've played over November and December is this. I'm rank 7 I think on Dares and haven't done many at all. I have to remind myself sometimes as i see everyone else grinding it like it goes tomorrow, that this content isn't going anywhere and i'm much better served in doing it when I want to or the pull is there to enjoy a few runs with a 6 stack of FGers. I haven't really played any PvP in the last month either so i'll feel okay when I go back to it knowing i haven't burnt out on one of the major core playlists. Raids will always be fun and never boring. Especially if we also keep rotating trying out raids each week, which has been happening here too. I'd urge people not to do any prep work over and above just getting close to the current power cap this season ahead of Witch Queen. Its clear the most fun from all DLCs come from just experiencing everything when it drops rather than blasting through it all in 24 hours. I want to get into a habit of doing more Dungeons too, I think many of us here miss out on all the RAD content which is mainly the best content it has to offer.
