Best endeavors and all that....😅 I'm trying to sort January and beyond out this week and next so I'll pop in here and ask soon when is a good time to rally the troops to help us noobs.

This is the right question all along on the back of sharing those videos Gaz @techno . And based on your answer I would expect a few maps to be coming in a months time as it'll Season 2 out by then. So when we get a few more maps soon, what else do you think it needs? Genuinely interested to know because I'm enjoying the fact that the game as multiple gamemodes, in Multiplayer but also outside of that with Warzone, DMZ and Raids. Equally it has the Campaign they had to make along with the rest (I finished it last night and i'll post thoughts separately - tldr, I really enjoyed it). This is totally where I stand. That doesn't mean its an unbelievably amazing game. However, based against previous CoDs its miles ahead of them. Outside comparisons to other FPS games with other modes, I actually think it still holds strong too. Destiny 2 is a fantastic shooter but its PvP is in a horrible state and has been for about 2-3 years. Overwatch 2 doesn't feel like its changed much from 5-6 years ago. Still feels good to shoot but limited on gamemodes and now reducing party size to 5 for me really is lost a lot some of their shine due to it now feeling very harsh when its not going your way. This CoD is the most accessible game for casuals they've had - and I feel this is why those people who create content or play exclusively these games and nothing else will feel that way. Same way if you played Destiny 2 exclusively. Its not the games fault if you don't play Campaign, DMZ, Warzone, which is a large chunk of it. But even then Multiplayer rotates maps extremely well, and it has Tier 1 if you want Hardcore - even though really I feel like this games Core MP is the best from any i've played in the last 8 years. The guns have lots of variety with tweaks that can be made that do make differences, at the same time being able to use stock guns and not feel like a loser straight off the block. Those content creators are focusing on the 1% crowd that is themselves and not thinking of the playerbase. They exaggerated 10-20 minutes of video to just say the menu options aren't great, and to tell us 'ah, I don't play them modes'. They come across as salty to me because essentially they're 'work' isn't getting them paid. Only place I'd say it needs a lot of work is Private Games as we need better options to choose from. Currently no proper Gun Game, One in the Chamber, Prop Hunt, etc which would give people hours of content to make if they wanted a revenue from it.

How much is he being offered for the Switch and the Xbox One S separately out of interest?

Does the cash just give you XP? Or something else for your inventory?

You should think about what you want to stand out and think of a few ways on how you want to show them off. Using some of what @James5497 has said above, you can then effectively test a few different views to see what works for people coming to your site. Here, I wanted (and still want 😅) people to realise what we have to offer and get involved in together. That made me think of the blocks that I felt would work. That doesn't mean I've successfully nailed the objective as I think the jury is out here still on what makes people check stuff out and get involved. I think every 3 months you should what you can add, improve, change which allows your website to evolve rather than just stay the same until a big update every few years. Its hard striking the balance but Trial and Error will always be the way forward. Shout up here if you have an idea of a visual 'thing' you want to create and we can help think of ways you can implement it.

I know a few played the original on console so unsure how many will try it on PC. Looks very good on first viewing but I'd probably wait to see what others thought first. @tronic44, one for you to keep an eye out for your PC when you get time 😅

Nice novelty present for anyone that loves Atari. I'm hoping to get my Atari set up on an older CRT screen at some point this year in my gaming area.

I can't believe i'm putting a Call of Duty in there but based on my playtime and how I feel the game flows both on Single Player, DMZ, Warzone and Multiplayer it deserves to be mentioned. Early on in the year I'd probably say Shredder's Revenge was one that I think that should be in there like @Tove said. I haven't really played any of the top games that have been mentioned though so can't really comment on how amazing they are. I must admit, for the first time in Destiny's history, the Witch Queen campaign was the best campaign they've ever made so for a few months it was up there for me too.

I've got to check to be honest. Annoyingly, a lot of us couldn't get on after one of the later updates to Minecraft on PSN. Strange because PC wise some people could get on still. We've got a huge communal place we've built and it would've been ace to link it all together somehow. I'll check over the next few days but feel free to see if you can use the Friend Code that @Misneach_ posted early in this thread.

Send us over a pic of the error please Kenny - I've just quoted Brede and it seems to work fine for me but could be some weird permissions perhaps.

That Game Boy light was a MUST when I was growing up! Great thread @Luseth , I'll have to give it some thought as there has been plenty of gadgets that i've used over the years and should still have but will need to have a good think which ones are good for sharing here😅

Thanks @Antpool84 for organising this, it really has been a great thing to keep going through the WInter months and brings a lot of us together when we don't see much of us online sometimes. I definitely think we'll have some more to join us next year. I'm expecting to get some more Americans in early so they have no choice ( @TigerBurge @Jason cough cough) but also new people should really give this a go too. I know @Ally is keen on getting involved next time!

100% YES. Hayley and I watched it live as we love the Darts and it was insanity unfolding before your eyes. Will already take some beating as the top sporting moment of 2023, 3 days in. He fully deserved to win, Michael 'Bully' Smith. Everyone thought it was MVGs until he really stepped up and took every opportunity that he got against him. As to an FG Darts night, hell yeah! Flight Club is actually a fun place to get together and grab a lane for some of us. A few drinks and some games really end in a quality night.

Well spotted @J4MES OX4D ! Whilst @Diddums suggestion is a fantastic idea, its the New Year and after a forced break of being able to see what changes we can make, I'm finally getting round to looking at all of this. A few views may subtlety change over the next few days until we find something good that works moving forward. We may streamline a couple of pots but also open to whatever we think we're missing to get it added whilst the FG Website is in the Garage 😁

I always wondered what could be done with some additional video editing time to my hands, not sure if you feel the same? So many clips we take and we could make so many awesome montages, but in the past its only ever been @Greboth and @tronic44 having the capability and time to do them based on their knowledge. I also think there could be some time invested in some graphic apps too. Especially the ones that make Vectors and other ones that make svgs. Inkscape is the one I'd want to get more of an understanding on as its 1, free, but 2, you can create some great things within it for lots of things out there. Last thought would be is there anything that your hobbies connect to at all that you can see something you want to creatively do in it? Might help narrow down some other apps perhaps.

I bought my first Megaman game for the Gamecube last year (yep 2022 😉) so its never ben on my radar from when i was a kid. The only Megaman person I know here so far is Chad @Riff Machine so I usually take my Megaman advice from him. The Collection sounds cool though, something to maybe dip into if there is enough good releases in there to warrant its price.

How are you getting on with this @Macca89 ? It may help to understand what you're trying to specifically create and there may be other things out there. I have found Canva is ridiculously string at creating stuff, you just need your own idea on what you want to do but there are tons of templates - and the best part is that its free to use. It has a pro version that looks like it could give you more templates for videos and tope end stuff but if i'm honest i've never had the urge to use any of them as there's so much that its free.
