  1. They are building on this game extremely well and it has captivated a good strong following for it's simplicity and versatility. I think this is another game with the right business model alongside Rainbow 6 Siege.
  2. Hows the game going after a week or so into it? Any signs of lack of content J?
  3. She's seems a fantastic team player, more for the intelligence for a group rather than killing efforts so maybe not so with randoms. I expect her to be in nearly every competitive game for quite a while as you wouldn't release a character that isn't viable for the best mode.
  4. Don't want to derail (but kinda am) but is Netflix currently worth the money? Really wanted to watch The Walking Dead seasons but not sure if its on it. What's the show plot Phil?
  5. @MrBiron, @Chookes, @burnfitbillyboy and @tronic44 got it James. Would be good to see a separate thread on impressions for both games...although i suspect CoD4 will be played ahead of IW for a while.
  6. I'll screw this entire thead up now by going to something just pretty fluffy and meaningful to just me Chris Brown's Crawl chorus for me flows well. If we crawl Till we can walk again Then we'll run Until we're strong enough to jump Then we'll fly Until there is no winds So let's crawl, crawl, crawl Back to love I've always said since this that I will look into tattoos with Crawl, Walk, Run and Fly within it.
  7. Watched Fury with Brad Pitt. I actually enjoyed it when I thought it may be abit disappointing. Was hard to hear some of the lines though, it was like their lingo was a little too mumbled in places.
  8. You Star Wars nerds! I love them!
  9. I really want this. i really enjoyed the first one and if it wasn't for the short and peculiar campaign set up I would've played it more. The fact that Titans cam play more of a role going forward excites me, there was too many playing CoD style tactics on the first which annoyed me. This is one game where futuristic wall-running and jetpacks really do work. I may hold out because Battlefield 1 has a lot of good parties going on right now but it's definitely now in my top next 3 games to get.
  10. I must admit after getting nailed by them whilst trying to learn the controls meant I switched to Gas grenades pretty early. You do feel a little more powerful with them and they help massively when you're on the defensive to lockdown a control point you've just captured or being flanked by a number of enemies. It would be great to get the whole squad on them for a game. A co-ordinated mas gas attack would be lethal. This would be pretty cool as well.
  11. Nice Rich! Anyone come across any headphones as of yet?
  12. Ubisoft delayed the rest of The Division's DLC to get this update out the door. But was it worth the wait, or is it already too late to get lapsed players back into post-outbreak Manhattan? Here are some of the biggest changes that might re-capture your interest. Enemies die faster Update 1.4 has reduced "time-to-kill" for non-player enemies across the board, addressing one of the biggest complaints directed toward the game since launch day. Ubisoft says it made some AI improvements too, so hopefully the Cleaners, LMB, and all the rest will present more interesting challenges than "keep the reticle over my head as you unload several clips into it". Easier to find the right challenge Did you ever matchmake into a "challenging" mission only for all of your teammates to take a look at your gear and immediately kick you out of the group? The Division did a piss-poor job of telling you how tough a lot of its end-game content was before, but the new World Tiers system should go a long way toward clearing that up. Once you hit level 30, you'll be able to choose from four different World Tiers, each of which has enemies scaled toward a certain gear score. Farm up a full set of gear from that Tier and you should be powerful enough to advance to the next one. Simple. Grinding for gear is more rewarding No more farming the same set of bosses in The Dark Zone over and over again (unless you're really into that). Ubisoft has given all enemy NPCs the chance to drop High-End and Gear Set items, though veterans and elites still have a better chance. And if you want, you can just wander around Manhattan and pick off bad guys in perpetuity: roaming NPC groups and bosses will now respawn every four hours. Finally a reason to re-visit four-fifths of the game's surface area! Re-rolling your gun is less of a gamble Ubisoft's reworked The Division's weapons and associated talents in hopes of making them all more useful and balanced. But you'll probably still get a few stinkers here and there. Thankfully, taking your weapon in for recalibration is now much more helpful: you can choose from six different talents instead of just three, and you still have the option to keep the original talent. Named weapons are special again It's kind of weird that you can build a uniquely named gun that presumably has a story behind it as many times as you want, right? Well, now you can't - mostly. The Division has gotten rid of blueprints for all named weapons, and the only way you can get new ones from this point on is to find them out in the world. You can still craft using the old named weapon blueprints you already have, but they'll only work for their set gear score. Stats make more sense What's the difference between Stability, Horizontal Stability, and Initial Bullet Stability? Who cares, they're all one stat now! Update 1.4 does some sorely needed housekeeping for The Division's numbers game, merging several stats into each other and clearing up the logic for others: damage bonuses now add to each other instead of multiplying, for example, and toughness will take all of your damage resiliency into account. Calculated weapon DPS might be a little more useful too, now that it takes headshot damage into account, but no guarantees. Weapon skins don't take up inventory space THANK GOD. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I personally can't see this update bringing back the initial hype that it once had. It's took far too long to sort all the obvious niggles and gripes. I still want to go back just to collect all the items as it was still a good game to play in a relaxed state of mind, however with Battlefield taking the main scene I don't hold hope of reinstalling anytime soon.
  13. Taken from Eurogamer: How Overwatch Skill Ratings are calculated will change again for Competitive Play Season 3 which, incidentally, begins a bit earlier than expected on 1st December - there will only beone week of downtime following the 24th November end of Season 2. In a nutshell, Skill Ratings are going to skew lower to begin with but your gains from winning games will be greater early on. Increasing always feels better than decreasing, after all, and I seem to have spent most of Season 2 trying to claw back my initial Skill Rating. Here's principal designer Scott Mercer explaining it more betterer: "When Season 2 started, we had WAY more players in Gold and Platinum than we initially intended, and way fewer in Bronze and Silver. This was the result of how we calculated your initial SR for Season 2. We tried to partially reset player SR at the start of Season 2, but the results were not as we expected. Instead, below-average players started Season 2 at a higher SR than they should have been given their performance in Season 1. This meant that as they played in Season 2, their SR would often drop to a lower value, which didn't feel great. It also meant that there was a much wider variation of skill in the Gold and Platinum tiers than we wanted. This is something we want to avoid in Season 3." So: "We're testing a different way of determining your starting SR for Season 3 on the [Public Test Realm]. We're leaning more towards trying to keep things fair rather than giving everyone a fresh start. We're also going to initially tune your SR to be slightly lower to start. "This change will mean that some players will not start in the same tier for Season 3 that they were placed in for Season 2, and that your SR gains from winning will be a little higher at the beginning of the season. After you play enough matches, however, your SR gains and losses will go back to normal."
  14. Removed The Division and No Man's Sky sub-forums. Will look to remove Warframe from the upper tier sub-forums as well over the next few days unless anyone wants to keep it there? I've also been thinking about categorising threads under their game name. This would take a considerable time to do but I would absolutely invest the time in this if it helps see what gaming threads we have for certain games and would assist with duplicate themed threads, keeping old threads alive, checking back on specific news, etc. Main reason for me thinking about this is because whenever I want to know about games, 9/10 I'll look for the game and then see what news is about. Can I have some thoughts from you lovely people please? I think it would cool to also understand how you all search for information, old or new. It may unearth an alternative way of neatly putting the forums. Thanks all.

  16. Did you all keep your raisins?? I did! To be honest, no-one shouldn't miss out on the loot, however the Ascendant Raisins that they have now turned into will get you a head start on a walk around the NPCs to eventually come back to Eris who has a special loot for you....a shader On top of that, there is a little secret in the Tower. Head down to the emotes kiosk and there will be a special broom sparrow. Apparently it goes at the end of the Festival of the Lost season but its worth having a look at it if you're popping to the Tower to see some friends.
  17. Anytime @PlasticGaming! I'm with Didds, the UI is really annoying me. I'm hoping that they'll be some sort of sprint development that delivers enhancements within 4 weeks. I think it's perfectly reasonable these days to some small improvements within this time.
  18. Great first scene. Really well put together. I have confidence that the campaign will live up to expectations and I'm looking forward to putting some hours in on it. I need more time with MP to make a worthwhile comment. I do enjoy the overall experience, especially in a group. At the minute though, there are quite a few things niggling me. The UI wasn't thought out at all, which really bothers me (cos I sometimes can't get in a game or struggle to pick a weapon) and controls are just a little off. Hit detection being off is hurting the game quite a bit. Need to find a weapon that suits me and my style which should help the gameplay some more for me. It does look fantastic. They have thought about the aesthetics which is cool. I wish the squad size was at least 8 rather than 5.
  19. This is awesome man. Knifing is the funniest part of this game. Can't wait to do it with the spade.
  20. The main voice actor from New Blood teased people in an interview that he may be working on a sequel as we speak. He pointed to an E3 Bethesda trailer that had the games they've made and dates.....New Colossus was a name with the date blank after Old Blood. I soooooo hope this is true. Loved New Blood, such a fantastic storyline and campaign mode, you could literally get hooked into the passion of the main character BJ Blackowicz.
  21. Your PlayStation 4 dashboard will soon host a Tournaments feature, in collaboration with ESL. Xbox One recently got a Tournaments feature of its own, but Sony's partnership with ESL, the world's largest esports company, is an intriguing point of differentiation. Announcing the feature, ESL said users would be able to find and participate in competitions it organises, which will number in the hundreds every week and be open to PS4 users around the world. "We're incredibly excited to be able to offer this seamlessly integrated solution for the most passionate esports fans," ESL exec Marcel Menge said. "In the partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment, we're going to host hundreds of weekly tournaments for players from any corner of the world. Anyone who wants to try their hand at competitive gaming, can now easily do so across a wide variety of titles." NBA 2K17, Mortal Kombat X and Project Cars will be among the first games to support tournaments when it launches in the near future - but there's no word yet on a specific date.
  22. The device looks real neat. Everyone loves a gimmick. Connectivity whilst roaming would concern me so would want to see how that operates. Most importantly, its got to have the solid game foundation every console needs. They have some good names signed up but we'll see what eventually hits the Switch soon enough.
  23. This may be on the cards you know, I'm sure I read it somewhere. Also, moved thread to Nintendo section.
  24. That list doesn't jump out at me as amazing titles this year. There's some good ones like I said before, but I struggle to pick a really good top 10 out of that list. I think 2017 will blow it out of the park, including the emergence of VR. Most value for money though has to be Rocket League considering it was free via PS+.
  25. New character Sombra should have been released yesterday however there was no sign of her once I updated the game. She was leaked via the Overwatch forums in code: There’s a post on the Overwatch forums which reads “la que tiene la información; tiene el poder” – a Spanish phrase which translates to “she who has the information, has the power”, and which has appeared in previous Sombra tease material.
