  1. Not sure why we've never had one of these sections before. There have been some beautiful games over the years, some we even still play today (well, I do ). Just an idea I had to add any of your old favourites, even hints and tips at some of the great old ones. Separate section to talk about all the legendary consoles, handelds and first build PCs of their era too. I'll start to share some of my thoughts on some great retro ones, so please fill your boots, whatever the CD, cartridge or cassette you played!
  2. Going round @Findmartin was a thing of beauty to play on his SNES and have a 5-set thriller on this solid tennis game 3 surfaces with lawn being my favourite, you would have to adapt your play towards the surface as well as the player. Your opponents racquet hand was one of the most telling features as it was difficult to play a Left hander if you were a Right hander. World Tour has to be one of the most defining features in early SNES games. Tournaments around the World and with a save feature via passwords (something that Prince of Persia was most memorable for) meant you could craft a season long tour to build on winning as many trophies as possible and a fine job if you could win across all 3 surfaces - Hard surface was a bitch with the CPU hitting top spin cross court winners. Phil was my favourite character, always aimed to get fast aces down the centre like Greg Rusedski the true brit he was *cough*. Always favoured playing at the bottom rather than the top end, over hitting shots was a big habit due to the perception on where you are and trying find the back corners. Still love playing this game today.
  3. This was game was the ultimate party fun. My personal favourite out of the Micro Machines series, Turbo tournament was a fun, exciting game that had some amazing tracks and great gameplay. The league system was an intense afternoon well spent after school; 4 leagues, 4 racers in a league, 4 races in a season, top got promoted with the bottom getting relegated. Such a bitch getting to league 2 and having a nightmare and getting relegated because you got knocked off the Toilet race with the speed demon dragsters. The J-Cart was a great feature, ahead of the multi-tap era on PlayStation. It was seriously hammered with friends coming round laughing and trying to knock each other off or into the solid beans at the dinner table race. Had to be careful not to push the controllers too hard otherwise the game would freeze and you'd had to restart. Spider was the main man, his cool shades and his neat GIF moves meant no-one came close to being chosen after him. The boats were the hardest to drive for me; sliding round corners just wasn't possible and unless you slowed down it was into the barriers and wiped off the map early doors. Great social game, beautiful graphics and music around the menus. The only improvement I wished for was a save feature on the league format. It used to take me all day to get to League 1 and then having to turn off without giving it my all before bedtime was soul destroying.
  4. Current bugs known through EAs forum: Squadmates Squadmates may repeatedly teleport on top of the player, and may follow when told not to. UI Objects in space may rotate slowly or may appear jittery when using the right control stick. Missions/Levels PS4 - Repeatedly skipping opening cinematics on the Remnant City critical path mission can cause Ryder to hang in mid-air. Game does not save often enough during main missions. We are aware of some areas where progression events may fail to trigger. If you encounter this you may be able to get past this by leaving the area and returning General Running in a zig-zag pattern can result in Ryder entering an unintended animation state. Audio may stop during play. Closing and restarting the game will restore audio. Immediately creating a new Ryder after exiting a current playthrough can result in Journal quest items carrying over and a number of bugson the Hyperion.
  5. Starcraft Remastered will be out this Summer on Windows and Mac PCs. The game will offer a full graphical overhaul of the beloved classic (and its expansion, Brood War) with high-resolution unit models, buildings, doodads, and tilesets as well as support for widescreen resolutions up to 4K, while gameplay will remain largely untouched. Never played Starcraft before but the love for this seems to be clear. Blizzard also seem to be on a roll with games of late and how they support them over a large period of time to keep their games relevant. Nice one Blizzard.
  6. Free new mode look interesting bit hard as hell New update will also bring: End to ‘Competitive Season 3’ and Wheel rewards distributed to competing players based on their highest skill tier reached Start of ‘Competitive Season 4’ with a variety of changes New Esports “Live Now” button on the main menu to notify players of official streams Spectator camera improvements including a Boost Meter and Rumble Power-up indicator for watchers in Player View New speed-themed Turbo Crate with the potential to unlock animated Decals, Exotic Wheels, Black Market customizations and more New import Battle-Car Endo, available as a limited-drop inside the Turbo Crate Six new Achievements and Trophies
  7. If it is the next game in the franchise then I'd give it a go. A COD along the lines of what Battlefield did will sell by the bucket load. A part of me though for some reason thinks the pic is the only thing leaked which could be just someone random creating the pic themselves to cause a little stir at Activision.
  8. So looks like Destiny 2 is definitely for PC. Pre-order available in Germany. I'll be playing on console. I get the points raised Rob, just can't see myself playing a shooter clicking a mouse. Plus, this community is an ace one and I don't expect us all to move to PC to play this game.
  9. Last night was absolutely epic fun! 5 of us went round the new maps and couldn't stop crying with laughter. The new dirt buggys that double up as water speedboats are brilliant and we cocked up so many times with the rocket cars forgetting to jump before parchuting into someone! Great games and we should try to get a large racing night going - we've had 9 on once so let's see if we can beat that!
  10. The heroes in Overwatch have been designed in the format like Final Fantasy. https://chkuyomi.wixsite.com/owfantasia I love the Reaper one and especially Winstons.
  11. I'm mostly on between 8pm and 12pm GMT. There hopefully will be quite a few of us jumping on Destiny when the update comes this week. Not everyone on here is from the UK, most of the North American lot play in their evenings now, however the UK times sometimes cross over depending on their work patterns.
  12. For some reason I just enjoy his films. I dunno what it is. There is one I only despise which was Pain & Gain because the film made no sense whatsoever. Look, let's face it, I already know you can't replicate Robin Williams. One of a kind.

    Absolver

Absolver is competitive fighting MMO due to come to PS4, Xbox and PC later this year. From the dev video below it looks a little For Honor style whereas you have different stances however it has an array of fighting moves that look interchangeable depending on which character you have chosen. It looks okay, nothing incredible so far but this is in Dev so you'd hope they build on the world look and polish a few things off.
  14. I've been waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 all my life I reckon. The first is absolutely up there in my top 10 so this can't come quick enough. Also looking forward to War for the Planet of the Apes and Thor: Ragnarok later in the year. I also hope Jumanji doesn't suck as I quite enjoy The Rock's films but I can't see how the classic will be redone anywhere near to how great it was.
  15. Little tiny snippets of the new battle modes have been released. I think my favourite looks like the piranha mode where you can gobble your friends up. Balloon Battle Bob-omb Blast Coin Runners Piranha Plants vs. Spies Shine Thief
  16. This looks really cool. My son gets extremely frustrated at games through his autism so I could see this really help when I'm trying to tell him what to do and he's fixated on one part of the game which isn't helping him.
  17. I think it does on 'Play Match' Versus mode and it records your stats. Let's get a few games in then. Shame it doesn't have ProClubs yet. I've seen so many comments from others stating they would've jumped ages from FIFA if it was available on PES.
  18. I just think this is still incredible to have that many faults outstanding and is going in the wrong direction. From what you see do pro players take advantage of these faults on a regular basis or not?
  19. As Rob says Justin, I can see why its logical to wait for Destiny 2. However... The last update is truly magnificent and whilst there isn't any significant new lore to find about the story or completely new content, it plays to the subjective emotive side of gamers. We've given Destiny 1 are chunk of our life in game terms and its a great way to kick back and enjoy some old fun moments at a challenging level so you are in a mindset to enjoy Destiny 2. Also, not having to pay for this update is extremely satisfying.
  20. Why though? To me it just seems more appropriate for the console market.
  21. Yeah, we need more sessions like that. I'd like to understand how to defend against Jackal as I haven't played much since he got released.
  22. I received my first schematic for an AK-47 the other day in that care package. Is that the only way to get them? Which are the best schematics and which are pointless to work towards?
  23. Cheers Rob. I've already added you to the twitch stream widget so if you're streaming you'll pop up.
  24. Strengths Fusion Driver offers exceptional suppressing fire Fortify is fantastic for mitigating burst damage and avoiding crowd control Halt! is ridiculously strong on maps where players can be pulled off the edge Protective Barrier provides solid positional defence in enclosed spaces Supercharger is fantastic for a stationary team that’s defending Weaknesses Fusion Driver has poor accuracy over long distances Protective Barrier is relatively poor in large, open areas Orisa is relatively slow – especially when firing – and becomes an easy target as a result Supercharger isn’t amazing when your team is trying to advance She isn’t great at being a solo “anchor tank”, unlike Reinhardt
  25. Nintendo have now confirmed a small number of units were affected by the left joycon issue not responding as expected. No wholesale fix solution is being offered but ones that they feel have this issue are urged to contact Nintendo support line so they can investigate and resolve. I've not had a problem with my Switch as of yet and others I've spoken to haven't either. With the supply effort being doubled to meet the demand, suffice to say I think its been a really successful launch for the Switch.
