Hi @ShyMatthew ! Welcome to FG! Hope you've enjoyed looking around and getting involved where you can. I'll add you on PSN later and hopefully we can try and have a few games this week when some of us are on it? Like the others said, feel free to share what else you play and enjoy just in case there are other things we can all party up together on. I think as much as the Switch can only do 30fps docked, I think we'll look back and see that it is an incredible piece of kit that really elevates certain games, far superior and different to the Wii too. Having said that, teh PS5 games are slowly starting to churn out and weirdly even though I feel its been a slow year, some developers have started to use the real potential of the graphics. I just wish there was more games that used Haptic feedback in the controllers in creative ways...maybe it was something that developers couldn't get their hands on until the last few years. Maybe another 12 months will change the leaderboard. Xbox really just feels to me like a portable PC now they have Game Pass. I don't see much reason to buy it given I have my own PC at home. I'd rather buy a Steam Deck than the Xbox which is a real shame given how much love I had for the OG Xbox and the 360.

I see that point and rightly thats definitely one way it could end up, but I'd air on the side of being positive for this one for a change. Ubisoft don't make all bad stuff, and its easy to just expect that all games need to be open world sandboxes but as we know alot can come out and be a mess and have no depth at all. I think the way it is a 2D scroller but with 3D characteristics in many places gives it a different feel. I feel like its the same as if Final Fantasy went and brought a new game out going back to the ATB system they used at the start of the franchise. It would be loved by many I would expect. Plus, at least it won't be full price for a side scroller either.- 8 replies

Maybe so, but its free i'd be stupid not to give it a go. If the mission was decent, it could pull me in to play the others. Based on previous PvE missions, if they are like that then its a no from me. Mechanics and just shooting is needed. The upgrading heroes would've been absolutely awesome to grind and enjoy the chase to get them all upgraded.

Its took me a while to get round to this but all I can say is I'm just sad to see the direction go away from deep PvE stuff in the game. I don't think everything they promised is exactly how some of the reporters are putting it but it doesn't matter much to me becaus its the sentiment behind them creating detailed PvE that I was really looking for in this game. With the change to 5v5 making the game feel way more sweaty competitive than before, I can see why we haven't had many people on this game lately. I know some still play it ( @Stretch616 @LordBaguette @Noct for instance) and I do miss playing our stacked games together as one co-ordinated push as a team is still an awesome feeling - however, the game just felt like it needed detailed PvE stuff to give it enough variety so you felt like you could go on it multiple nights. Tom said last night he wouldn't be surprised if the first story missions end up free after the backlash and I think that would make sense too. Usually these early hearings of cost and what is being delivered this early in the gaming news is a test from publishers to work out how it is being received and what they can do to bring people in to the franchise again.

It was a decent night once we got everyone sorted because Ant had that issue where it stops you playing clubs. A handful of games, mixed bag of results but our performances felt like we should've won most games. Defo a good night.

Yeah he won't go away straight away is my thoughts too. I think he'd like to go back to Barca in the next 5 years. Nationally, he'd also be more likely to take Spain than us...not sure we will go down foreign routes for a while now. But right now I think he may not ever touch National sides due to the fact its far less work. Plus Gareth Southgate shows the type of characteristics of management, especially successful club ones, may not suit international football that has smaller calendars.

Wednesday is usually football night, however I have another football meeting at 7.30 so I'll likely be able to join this but probably around if 9pm if all goes well.

Good thoughts mate @LordBaguette. I like Matt's life is too short mentality but can also share I'd be gutted if i did lose my hair because I enjoy the way I look with all my hair. I just don't think I'll suit a shaved head...and also expecting my head to have loads of random shapes in it 😅 Apparently you are supposed to inherit similar traits to your Mum's family side and one generation above (essentially your Grandad), but i'm hoping it follows my Dad's because he has a full flock of hair whereas my other Grandad ended up with about 14 strands of hair on top for years.

I actually really love the look of this one. Weirdly its getting panned, maybe because people it should be a grand, open world-esque type of game but Prince of Persia has always been a side-scroller and this looks like its a great way to deliver it imo. And I bet it won't be a triple A price too. Thoughts everyone? Plus out on my birthday next year (18th Jan) so it has to be a hit surely? 😁

In a final you just need the result and they got it. Nice to see English clubs do really well in Europe this year. West Spam was great to see them get over the line in the final few minutes. Great winning goal by Bowen too. I'm sure the question will now soon switch to how long will Pep stay now he has achieved the Treble.

Yeah, this blows me away @Sir.Arthur! Some incredible special editions!! And you have Cotton for the Neo Geo Pocket too! 🥵 Do you have any kind of no go's where you don't get certain versions or do you go for everything about certain games you love in any language regardless if its hard to play/understand? For instance, my Neo Geo Pocket and CD Collection I will never want to buy Japanese versions because I can't understand them when I want to sit down and play them, even if they could be more affordable. Seriously, some of this kit is truly one of a kind and I envy you so much!! Nice work mate ❤️ -
My son has a PSVR and still uses it from time to time. I've had plenty of goes on it and its a fun thing to play on for the odd 15-30 minutes but I would say most games aren't really looking that amazing on PSVR for what I enjoy. It works for the younger generation though as I think they've grown up with those standards on what they see. Plus its very helpful for sensory kids, more than people realise. The PSVR2 looks way better and i'm more interested in that then any other one. The wire on it doesn't bother me as much as I think it could bother others these days when they are looking for the most 'mobile' devices they can get their hands on. Meta Quest is cheaper than the PSVR2 which will definitely help because not many can afford or justify nearly £700 for PSVR2 if you want it with games, even more with charger accessories.
