  1. I'm done with the PS5 beta - no point in playing any more as I've seen all there is to see. Gonna give the PC one a go when it's available and then make a decision. I did seem to notice more campy spots today and in some parts of the maps, enemies are really difficult to spot. I've turned off a lot of the effects like film grain and motion blur but there's just so many particle and post-processing effects in play, it's quite jarring at times especially the bullet spread. Also the interface for the post-match report is incredibly cluttered and you can't see all your rewards or unlocks and also the challenge sidebar overlaps your team line up which is kinda silly because 66% of the screen is taken up by empty space or an area which could easily accommodate the small menu. Even minimised, it still sits nastily on the screen. The lack of feedback on how to unlock weapons does not sit well and I hope they ditch this whole tech tree nonsense altogether - having to level up AR's to get an unrelated SMG is a bit daft really. I did have some good games and entertaining matches but I can't really say if I was having much fun overall. I do like how they've added an FOV slider and many other graphical options but I'm looking forward trying this with a mouse and keyboard and higher framerates.
  2. Statement from Rockstar 30 hours later:-
  3. Vice City seems to be the name of the setting judging by the metro - could be a district name but more likely the total Florida/Miami location. Protagonists appear to be called Jason and Lucia which fit the Bonnie and Clyde-style rumours revealed ages ago
  4. Played just over an hour earlier (really not sure how people manage to play 50 in these betas) and thought it was an okay game that plays itself very safe. Some of the changes are quite bizarre i.e the unclear unlock system plus the traditional perk format being reduced to two fixed is also weird. It’s nice that the mechanics are less friendly with slide cancelling nerfed and not being able to select 49 perks like in Treyarch games will make it more challenging and users more adventurous with their selections. Crouch walkers seem very hard to spot though if they are right at your feet. I quite liked the farm map but the hotel and market one were a bit average and nothing we haven’t seen before. Some nice detail and aesthetics but nothing exceptional. Killstreaks also didn’t grab me but I’m glad they’ve ditched the stupid POTG and replaced it with the final kill again. I’ll have another go tomorrow but I’m not majorly convinced about buying a game I stopped playing 3 years ago for another two more. It’s decent enough but maybe not £60 decent. Doesn’t quite have the wow factor the original MW2019 initially had because that was a big step up but this one does seem more refined and has less irritations. A lot will depend on the content available at launch - something MW sorely lacked.
  5. Take2Interactive striking down the videos which basically means they are legit🤣
  6. Some early build footage has been leaked and it comes from a credible source that falls in line with things Rockstar have confirmed already. Some GTA V stock assets are being used along with placeholders themselves. Also appears to be running off a PS4 dev kit but that doesn't mean it'll be on that system when it launches. Don't expect these videos to remain up for too long.
  7. This is funny
  8. The Captain FREE on Epic until the 22nd along with Spirit of the North https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/the-captain https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/spirit-of-the-north-f58a66
  9. Out next month https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B7BDN73B?tag=i0e25-21&ascsubtag=01tRy1iT6BPBN6YlgGGbmYZ Nice unit but quite pricey at £105.
  10. By their own words from the infamous 2019 interview, they created 'safe spaces' for newer players with no regard in how experienced ones could exploit such design philosophies. I love how they've removed slide cancel although I expect they'll buckle and add it back in at some stage but other design choices are rather questionable. Dunno why they don't just stick to the usual tried, tested and proven formula without the need to take the 'edgy' and risky approach. Sound design will never improve sadly because as always feared, it's an engine limitation problem but there's no excuse for them not to include counters to this issue rather than throwing everyone under the bus.
  11. Third person mode
  12. I can’t stomach watching any more of this stupid gameplay event - all the COD content creators look and sound the same with their stupid hats, sweaty gameplay styles and nauseating OTT personalities. I’ll have to watch some standalone videos instead, preferably with no commentary. Saw one map which had nice colour but then the next was incredibly dated and drab. Way too early to make a judgement though and I still look forward to trying the beta for a couple of hours.
  13. Shit quality video to start with but from what I've seen, the game is basically the same as the last one. I'll have to watch a bit more later but being an old gen game that will last for 2 years is just holding this franchise back as usual. Campaign will probably look way better but the MP looks visually subpar. Still looks pretty solid mechanically and that will be interesting to see whether it follows the 2019 feel or something a bit looser like Cold War.
  14. Red Dead Redemption (2010)
  15. Rare replay is currently just £4.99 down from £19.99 saving £15. It includes the likes of the Perfect Dark titles and Banjo Kazooie. However, if you own this you get GoldenEye for free when it releases which is a great deal Buy Rare Replay | Xbox WWW.XBOX.COM Celebrate Rare’s 30th Anniversary with a jaw-dropping collection of 30 iconic games, lovingly presented for Xbox One. Tackle snapshot challenges and enjoy exclusive bonus features.
  16. This is pretty a pretty significant moment for emulation as the original Red Dead Redemption posts a huge performance on the 360 Xenia Canary emulator - this was 720p and 30fps on the console. RPCS3 is struggling woefully in comparison with this build.
  17. I've said sod it and just fired up the unreleased XBLA version again😂
  18. Seems to be a very convoluted situation The GoldenEye Re-Releases are a Weirdly Convoluted Situation - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Two different versions of GoldenEye are being released on two different consoles, but neither are the recently leaked remaster. It’s a weirdly convoluted situation. Basically the Xbox version gets 4K, Local MP, 60fps plus achivements and the Switch gets online multiplayer but a far weaker experience in regards to framerate and resolution as expected. The absolute killer for both versions is that NEITHER are the remaster that was leaked last year on PC which was an excellent ground-up reworking plus like with Halo and it's MCC versions, you could switch to the old appearance in the press of one button. So basically both devices get the old N64 port with varying quality and MP features but nobody gets what was finished back in 2008 which was the Xbox Live Arcade version made to the same standard of the outstanding Perfect Dark remastering. Seems everyone is gonna get the short straw with this but at least Rare Replay owners will get it for free. It's such a travesty the unreleased version from 2008 will never legitimately see the light of day and those money men clowns who own the IP's don't know the opportunity that they've let walk by.
  19. 😂😂😂😂
  20. Definitely worth continuing - the most depressing part of the game is probably the cheesiness but it's definitely a unique experience seeing through.
  21. I've done the game on a N64 emulator and the XBLA leaked version and it's good to revisit but I'd never put more than a few hours into it. Definitely has not aged well in places although it's still fun and a big challenge to complete on 00 Agent especially if you're going for the cheats.
  22. Finally Too bad it's just for Xbox and Switch but at least it's been done. Hopefully we'll see a PC port in the future.
  23. The problem is they took PES as far as they could under the Fox Engine which saw PES 2021 release as a season update rather than a brand new game. People were then under the assumption that them moving to the Unreal engine was to realise the next gen potential however it's been clear that this was a bait and switch and it was simply to bring the console and mobile versions closer together. Now Konami look like utter planks trying to roll with a mobile game on hardware pushing 4K. Only way they can truly salvage something is if they move to Unreal Engine 5 and work on a proper current gen title but doing this will mean they have to separate from mobile. This will definitely go down as one of the worst decisions ever made in the history of gaming - 7 years of hard work and keeping toe to toe with FIFA all undone just because they thought people wanted a shared console v mobile platform rather than a groundbreaking football experience. It's also utterly idiotic that you can't play more than 5 minute matches plus there's still only 9 teams. I can understand them not having the balls to charge full price for such a stripped down version (demo as you say) but the F2P model is not worth anyone's time. Given EA an open goal for the next 3 years at least I'd say and they will be milking the shit out of their next game without having to adhere to FIFA brand regulations.
  24. Seems like only 5 minutes since I made a thread about the 3000 range but that was going back a couple of years. Now the 4000 one is all but confirmed with some leaks with the 4090 expected to release as soon as next month with the 4080 and 4070ti to follow in November and December respectively. So much for the chip shortage eh....
