  1. By the time the game releases we'll be playing Unreal 5 titles yet Starfield will probably still be running on the Morrowind engine but this time at 32x the detail🤣

  5. The only question that remains is what the business model will be - sounds like they are aiming for more of a live service. Early rumours suggested a F2P-type structure but after the hell that was eFootball, they may have second thoughts. I certainly think EA will do better than Konami if they did go down this road but I'd rather just keep things simple with annual releases.
  6. They've already signed up 30 leagues, 700 teams, 100 stadiums and 20,000 players so they can still have the entire game licensed but just not with the FIFA branding which is proving to be rather non-viable after this. FIFA wanted $1bn every 4 years which would've given all the teams automatically and World Cup content. Although it's hard to say how much licensing everything individually costs along with the extra paperwork essentially, EA can also acquire new partners and sponsorship's which would've been restricted when under the FIFA branding. More importantly, they can probably now add even more shady monetisation in the game without risking the wrath of the governing body. It wouldn't surprise me if the game is basically the same aside from a name change.
  7. I've been craving a new game like this as I'm a huge fan of the Arkham games - they just ooze atmosphere and capture the Batman style perfectly. This one I am a bit iffy about because the developer has a pretty limited track record and wasn't the one behind the original Batman titles. This team did work on Origins and also did a Wii port for Arkham City but aside from that it's been mostly DLC and assisting other developers. They may be biting off more than they can chew with this and the publisher also doesn't have a good grasp of the gaming industry either. Will definitely keep my eye on it but anyone expecting something to the tune of Rocksteady's classics may be sorely disappointed.

    EA Sports FC

FIFA 23 will be EA's last branded game because they want to retain the greed all for themselves an instead we have EA Sports FC and this very well could become a F2P ongoing live service. After Konami's spectacular total fuck up I'm not too keen on that model however it wont be anywhere near as ass as what they churned out. Wonder if there will be any takers for the FIFA brand now...
  9. On May 3rd 2022, two months after release, there was ONE person on planet earth playing Babylon's Fall on PC. ONE.FUCKING.PERSON LMAO!
  10. Saw this the other day and it looks really interesting and came out of nowhere, however the combat is apparently extremely dissatisfying with only really the visuals standing out. Bit of a shame because it does look really stylish but the 2D combat really drags it down it seems.
  11. HAHA! Square Enix Reportedly Lost $200 Million on Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy GAMINGBOLT.COM The two Marvel games lost Square Enix $200 million in a little under two years and were responsible for the sale of western studios to Embracer, according [...] If anyone is interested in knowing how Square's latest live service is doing that hasn't even been out two months yet, read this Square Enix’s latest RPG falls below 10 players on Steam | TechRadar WWW.TECHRADAR.COM The recent release has not gone down well with players Absolute humiliation. Their only remaining stock is Final Fantasy, a few fringe JRPG's and some ape jpeg NFTs. Looks like their last remaining dosh is going towards blockchain shite so I wouldn't expect them to release the second part of the FF7 Remake or anything else for that matter.
  12. Nice collection! I think I have that issue of GamePro floating around somewhere but I'm sure it was an US import from WHSmith as I don't recall seeing it anywhere else or getting it again after that. I certainly have/had the Aliens, Rapid Racer and GT2 issues of Play Magazine which were always a decent read although I probably didn't get it as much or at all when the PS3 arrived.
  13. Now delayed until March 2023. Bloody knew it! Developers silence spoke volumes The Day Before: Steam's Most Wishlisted Game Shifts to Unreal Engine 5, But Gets a Delay NORDIC.IGN.COM The open world survival MMO will now arrive in March 2023. Probably wont even arrive then. Yet another title I will happily pass on.
  14. This is why I've never understood the concept of giving already very rich people even more money Streamer xQc admits to $2 million in gambling losses last month, gets told off by his dad on stream | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM "Every game I play, all I do is gamble." I think it's time for high-earning streamers to either have donations capped or stopped - this isn't the first of its kind but it's one that's been finally publicised. It's also shocking how much live gambling Twitch allows on its platform and it goes full circle when viewers dish out the stake money and the streamer blows it all including their own funds which pushes them into an addiction spiral. Streamers e-beg with lies, waste money or use their gains for illicit means yet ordinary people keep on plying them with their hard earned money in what seems to be some sort of self-gratifying paypig digital fetish. Doesn't send out a good message to younger viewers either.
  15. Man City blew it spectacularly😂😂😂 1-0 up on the night, 5-3 on aggregate and 90th minute only to go 2-1 behind a minute later, nearly going out in normal time before Real seal it from the spot 5mins into extra time. I’m not sure how Pep and City will ever get over this and they now have to see out the season with just the league to win and risk finishing empty handed. Even the title could be a small consolation as the Champions League was their ultimate focus and has been for years now. This may have been their best chance and you have to wonder if Guardiola will go at the end of the season as another £400m won’t be on the cards. Fair play to a young Madrid side though - the experience of Modric and Benzema is massive and although they’ve got a way to go and have perhaps rode their luck in this competition, they never give up or know when they are beaten. if it’s any consolation to City, at least Grealish’s hair survived.
  16. Physical edition comes out this month so I may grab that.
  17. This is brilliant news because fuck Square Enix - they've lost their iconic brands just so they have some funds freed up so they can invest in NFT's and bloody blockchain bollocks. These games will be in better hands by default and hopefully we'll see a new Deus Ex and Thief title down the line. Square couldn't even wait until the new Unreal 5 Tomb Raider game was finished before cashing in which shows their knee-jerk desperation to get ahead of this bullshit game. Compared to EA, 2K and Ubisoft, Square have come off quite lightly in the last decade but I along with many others maintain they are just as bad, if not worse in most cases. $300m seems quite light for such a vast catalogue too and what's even more glorious is that Squre's recent bunch of live services have been humiliating failures. Hopefully we'll now see these seemingly dead franchises revived by a company that actually cares about them rather than trying to milk microtransactions and flog JPEG's for millions. A huge missed opportunity for sleepy Sony though.
  18. This is pretty neat - someone has created a game surrounding the inventory management of Resident Evil 4 which was awesome in its own right! 19. I've only got the PC version but I believe the console one is the same and even mods can be got off the publishers website. The only difference I imagine would be how well the controls are implemented with a pad against the flawless mouse and keyboard functionality. If the controls are tight and intuitive then it should be a great purchase!
  20. If their balance sheet didn't have so many underlying liabilities unknown then they probably could have attracted a buyer for a quick turnaround. Not many custom PC manufacturers have a rolling $1m of ongoing orders at any given time, partnerships with Intel and several other major companies, plus more importantly, they had a highly established supply chain with concrete guarantees which in today's horrendous component market is absolutely critical and almost unheard of. There was also an estimated $500k in stock plus relationships with content creators also added some value. If the accounts were clean and the CEO was ousted then they probably could've got a successful quick sale with view of a re-brand whilst retaining all commercial contracts and relationships. Anyone replicating a company like this would not only struggle to get stock, they'd be lucky to even get a wholesale margin and I would dread to think what the minimum purchase order would be for some components. Artesian's contracts were bloody lucrative as hell - if they wanted 100 3090's the next day at 60% retail they would've got them landed and not even the most established retailers could manage that even paying the retail rate.
  21. Seriously how the fuck do you get £50m in debt? Multi-millionaire sports personality, lots of lavish global assets and also was still working as a broadcaster earning more in 2 weeks than people earn in 10 years. What sort of elitist lifestyle do you have to lead where you get into such a state and then have to conceal assets scattered all over the globe so you don't have to pay a portion of the overall debt? He's now landed himself a 30 month prison sentence and has nothing left - even having to see his sports memorabilia auctioned off so creditors can reclaim some of the money owed. It's quite a fascinating read but it beggars belief how someone of some intelligence can allow their circumstances to spiral like that and live so recklessly. It's not even a case of it being a company collapse or a chain of horrendous circumstances - this is a personal debt fueled by money-mismanagement and sheer greed on an unprecedented scale.
  22. They probably could've secured a takeover of sorts had their company not had a trove of dodgy stuff filed at the bottom of the cabinet. The CEO being a douche is one thing and the brand being heavily tarnished is another but it seems there is a lot of shady things that had gone on and any value left within the company will likely be used for civil recovery and other monies owed. There's definitely plenty of other smaller companies that do this and some big opportunities to replicate Artesian's presence but I couldn't even see Jesus turning this ship around🤣
  23. MW2 by name and MW3 by branding. Very much doubt it'll be able to live up to those classics and I'm really not sure on the name conflict with the iconic original. A reveal must be pretty imminent but my interest is fairly minimal. I don't have much confidence left in the franchise and Microsoft's near-acquisition of the company had no bearings on development or likely anything post-launch so this is still very much a COD title of recent. That being said, IW are probably the strongest part left of the series but they are still a shadow of their former selves and unless the cheating epidemic is addressed, it could be tarnished before it's even got started.
  24. Tarkov in space basically. Has some promise
  25. Artesian Builds files for bankruptcy with an estimated $1.3M in unfulfilled orders | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The PC building and Twitch streaming outfit imploded last month, and will now sell off its inventory to pay debts.
