  1. This is why I've never understood the concept of giving already very rich people even more money Streamer xQc admits to $2 million in gambling losses last month, gets told off by his dad on stream | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM "Every game I play, all I do is gamble." I think it's time for high-earning streamers to either have donations capped or stopped - this isn't the first of its kind but it's one that's been finally publicised. It's also shocking how much live gambling Twitch allows on its platform and it goes full circle when viewers dish out the stake money and the streamer blows it all including their own funds which pushes them into an addiction spiral. Streamers e-beg with lies, waste money or use their gains for illicit means yet ordinary people keep on plying them with their hard earned money in what seems to be some sort of self-gratifying paypig digital fetish. Doesn't send out a good message to younger viewers either.
  2. Man City blew it spectacularly😂😂😂 1-0 up on the night, 5-3 on aggregate and 90th minute only to go 2-1 behind a minute later, nearly going out in normal time before Real seal it from the spot 5mins into extra time. I’m not sure how Pep and City will ever get over this and they now have to see out the season with just the league to win and risk finishing empty handed. Even the title could be a small consolation as the Champions League was their ultimate focus and has been for years now. This may have been their best chance and you have to wonder if Guardiola will go at the end of the season as another £400m won’t be on the cards. Fair play to a young Madrid side though - the experience of Modric and Benzema is massive and although they’ve got a way to go and have perhaps rode their luck in this competition, they never give up or know when they are beaten. if it’s any consolation to City, at least Grealish’s hair survived.
  3. Physical edition comes out this month so I may grab that.
  4. This is brilliant news because fuck Square Enix - they've lost their iconic brands just so they have some funds freed up so they can invest in NFT's and bloody blockchain bollocks. These games will be in better hands by default and hopefully we'll see a new Deus Ex and Thief title down the line. Square couldn't even wait until the new Unreal 5 Tomb Raider game was finished before cashing in which shows their knee-jerk desperation to get ahead of this bullshit game. Compared to EA, 2K and Ubisoft, Square have come off quite lightly in the last decade but I along with many others maintain they are just as bad, if not worse in most cases. $300m seems quite light for such a vast catalogue too and what's even more glorious is that Squre's recent bunch of live services have been humiliating failures. Hopefully we'll now see these seemingly dead franchises revived by a company that actually cares about them rather than trying to milk microtransactions and flog JPEG's for millions. A huge missed opportunity for sleepy Sony though.
  5. This is pretty neat - someone has created a game surrounding the inventory management of Resident Evil 4 which was awesome in its own right! Save 20% on Save Room - Organization Puzzle on Steam STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM When you enter a save room you know you are safe, no danger can come to you, you can relax. 6. I've only got the PC version but I believe the console one is the same and even mods can be got off the publishers website. The only difference I imagine would be how well the controls are implemented with a pad against the flawless mouse and keyboard functionality. If the controls are tight and intuitive then it should be a great purchase!
  7. If their balance sheet didn't have so many underlying liabilities unknown then they probably could have attracted a buyer for a quick turnaround. Not many custom PC manufacturers have a rolling $1m of ongoing orders at any given time, partnerships with Intel and several other major companies, plus more importantly, they had a highly established supply chain with concrete guarantees which in today's horrendous component market is absolutely critical and almost unheard of. There was also an estimated $500k in stock plus relationships with content creators also added some value. If the accounts were clean and the CEO was ousted then they probably could've got a successful quick sale with view of a re-brand whilst retaining all commercial contracts and relationships. Anyone replicating a company like this would not only struggle to get stock, they'd be lucky to even get a wholesale margin and I would dread to think what the minimum purchase order would be for some components. Artesian's contracts were bloody lucrative as hell - if they wanted 100 3090's the next day at 60% retail they would've got them landed and not even the most established retailers could manage that even paying the retail rate.
  8. Seriously how the fuck do you get £50m in debt? Multi-millionaire sports personality, lots of lavish global assets and also was still working as a broadcaster earning more in 2 weeks than people earn in 10 years. What sort of elitist lifestyle do you have to lead where you get into such a state and then have to conceal assets scattered all over the globe so you don't have to pay a portion of the overall debt? He's now landed himself a 30 month prison sentence and has nothing left - even having to see his sports memorabilia auctioned off so creditors can reclaim some of the money owed. It's quite a fascinating read but it beggars belief how someone of some intelligence can allow their circumstances to spiral like that and live so recklessly. It's not even a case of it being a company collapse or a chain of horrendous circumstances - this is a personal debt fueled by money-mismanagement and sheer greed on an unprecedented scale.
  9. They probably could've secured a takeover of sorts had their company not had a trove of dodgy stuff filed at the bottom of the cabinet. The CEO being a douche is one thing and the brand being heavily tarnished is another but it seems there is a lot of shady things that had gone on and any value left within the company will likely be used for civil recovery and other monies owed. There's definitely plenty of other smaller companies that do this and some big opportunities to replicate Artesian's presence but I couldn't even see Jesus turning this ship around🤣
  10. MW2 by name and MW3 by branding. Very much doubt it'll be able to live up to those classics and I'm really not sure on the name conflict with the iconic original. A reveal must be pretty imminent but my interest is fairly minimal. I don't have much confidence left in the franchise and Microsoft's near-acquisition of the company had no bearings on development or likely anything post-launch so this is still very much a COD title of recent. That being said, IW are probably the strongest part left of the series but they are still a shadow of their former selves and unless the cheating epidemic is addressed, it could be tarnished before it's even got started.
  11. Tarkov in space basically. Has some promise
  12. Artesian Builds files for bankruptcy with an estimated $1.3M in unfulfilled orders | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM The PC building and Twitch streaming outfit imploded last month, and will now sell off its inventory to pay debts.
  13. Jesus Christ Nike's NFT sneakers are selling for obscene amounts of money | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Would you pay thousands of dollars for sneakers you can't wear?
  14. Re-review scores a 4/10 on IGN meaning in 6 years time this should be a 10/10 title🤣
  15. Some very old Bethesda classics are now available and FREE on Steam Some of Bethesda's classic Elder Scrolls RPGs are now free on Steam | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM As the Bethesda launcher closes its doors, some of its old games have appeared in Valve's shop.
  16. You guys have PC's right? Diablo Immortal is coming to PC after all | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM It's launching in open beta on June 2, the same day as the full mobile release.
  17. Although I think lockdown ending is a factor, it's clear that people are getting fed up of Warzone and COD in general. The lack of quality and innovation plus their failure to deal with the catastrophic cheating that plagues all systems. There's also only so many times you can beat your head against a brick wall playing on the same Warzone map over and over and their neglect with traditional COD has also alienated that side of the franchise. Losing 1/3 of your playerbase is horrendous and now all eyes will be on Modern Warfare 2(022) which not only has to bring people back, it has to have a consistent run all the way to 2024 with no new game coming next year. Even with a solid number of players left, there's probably still tens of millions of cheaters out of those. Call of Duty has lost 50 million players in a year | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM It was a bad year for Warzone.
  18. Dungeon Keeper Gold and Dungeon Keeper 2 both 75% on GOG at £1.19 which is a good deal for a couple of classics. Dungeon Keeper, DLCs Included | GOG.COM WWW.GOG.COM
  19. Looks like Poch and Conte might be swapping roles. PSG won the league yesterday but they were booed at the final whistle after a 1-1 draw against 10 men and about 15,000 of their fans left on 75 minutes to go celebrate outside the stadium. Imagine supporting that toxic shite! Poch expected sacking was announced less than an hour after the game too and now there's rumours Conte has made himself available - a consequence of giving him such a limited contract. Poch going the other way is a good fit and there isn't much else available but it'll likely be years more stagnation at Spurs especially with any real lack of investment. Just when Spurs were on an impressive run, they go and deliver two shocking performances so questions over Conte and the players again. Not sure why anyone would want to manage PSG either unless it's to pocket easy money.
  20. The Bethesda Launcher will be shut down on May 11 | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM You'll be able to transfer your games, wallet, and most of your saves, to Steam from April 27.

  22. EA are publishing this one and you can smell it a mile off. ''Pre-order F1® 22 Champions Edition by May 16 and receive the Miami-Themed Content Pack.* Pre-ordering will also give you 3 days early access, the F1® Life Starter Pack, F1® 22 new era content, new My Team icons, and 18,000 PitCoin. 23. 400 fixes but not one piece of actual content - Battlefield 4 was already on it's 4th map expansion by now and that's not forgetting 40-odd new guns and hundreds of attachments to work through🤣 I quite like the interface changes but let's be honest, this is how it should've looked from the very start and no real difference to previous games. Not much to celebrate in this respect and it's astonishing how they managed to mess this up so spectacularly. No matter how many fixes they make though, the game is just too conceptually flawed. Every map for starters needs to be cut down by 60% and still reworked plus lobbies should be 64 max for the most typical BF experience. Every match seems to be riddled with bots too. This game would struggle to get 10,000 at a time on all systems even if it was free. They've also been bloody lucky Vanguard and Warzone has been utter shite but the new COD will surely kill it for good. God knows when the Ultimate Edition owners will finally get their stuff... The people that are working on the game now largely weren't responsible for this absolute shit-show so they will probably improve it to a degree but it wont matter in the long run and it's just too far gone to salvage.
  24. But that's exactly what Hello Games did. Just because they used their substantial gains to then develop the game they originally promised to a degree doesn't let them off the hook. It took them to go into hiding and then a huge public backlash just to get them working on the game again. If they released the game in early access with a structured roadmap of features then it would have been absolutely ideal but instead they plied the media and community with a wealth of claims, gained huge exposure and then delivered the most empty and generic game on release. The fact by their own admission they had no idea how to proceed before the first update just shows the original release was their intended final product. Without the money garnered from that, they wouldn't have been able to keep the studio running as a going concern so they were very lucky in that respect. They have no doubt done very well in turning the game around but I don't see it as a monumental achievement the same way I don't throw a carnival because Bohemia Interactive finally released DayZ Standalone after 5 years of 'development'.
