  1. This is absolutely insane - game has been given an 18 rating lmao! Funny how FIFA can encourage kids to gamble and Nintendo is riddled with poker games at 7+ but this game being a GOTY contender has to suffer just for putting itself on the map. What a joke these decision makers have become - it's literally a harmless card game with puzzle elements against the computer! Balatro developer takes shots at EA FC 25 over child safety and 18+ age rating | The Sun WWW.THESUN.CO.UK BALATRO is one of the best games of the year with millions of players, offering an excellent game at an affordable price. The Poker roguelike that was
  2. They'll probably release it a good two months before GTA6 arrives which is more than enough.
  3. I dunno, Western developers keep churning out the same arrogant butch females with narcissistic childish personalities and cringeworthy dialogue these days. When the writers are also exposed online for past racism and openly criticising other games for how they present females, then they are going to be held to account for their own creative interpretations in return. Naughty Dog was also on extreme thin ice after how they butchered every character in TLOU2 with some of the most shambolic writing and outcomes ever witnessed. Some of the biggest characters in gaming are female leads and the reception for Ciri for the Witcher 4 was huge as expected last week and I think if this was a male character in this game, it would be equally lambasted.
  4. This game is getting a torrid reception online. A year down the line and they'll probably release a remaster anyway🤣
  5. The Witcher 3 remains my favourite game of all time but I doubt they'll be able to topple that. About 75% of the people that worked on that game plus the expansions have left the studio and they've also ditched the RED Engine in favour of Unreal 5 which is also massively disappointing. Glad they are doing a Ciri game especially after her part in 3 was a nice change of pace but Geralt is going to be making an appearance too which is good.
  6. Some more Forza Horizon 4
  7. Game is better than I was expecting but I can't see myself getting this until a deep sale. They've done a great job with many things including the cinematics and performances plus the locations look decent but I think the core gameplay may be a bit simple especially with the wonky AI and sloppy combat. Third person would've been better IMO although we've had way to many Indy-inspired games over the years in this perspective.
  8. Ange's game management is a bit questionable at this level which was evident mostly against Brighton and Chelsea. You can get away with it in the SPL against the likes of St Mirren and Dundee but not here. Spurs need a change at the top though as Daniel Levy for all his work cannot take the club further. Something like 14 managers in 23 years including many proven ones and only one trophy to show from it and that was from one of the worst. A big injection of money is needed and for all Spurs's impressive results here and there notably against Villa, United and City, the inconsistency is unacceptable and totally negates any big results. Only way to bounce back would be to win the League Cup and then try and go for the Europa League.
  9. Perhaps Americans should focus on their government for allowing such crippling healthcare costs to be forced direct to patients for decades. The insurance companies are in business but they are still operating in-line with the costs that are charged at medical-level by the big pharma boys so they pay out their fair share. Their profits are based on the existing pot and not the procedure charge. They are not obliged to bail out the government or pay institutions out of their own pocket in full just because of terrible legalisation supported by their governing parties throughout generations. Just like with guns, big pharma is a big part of the American way of life and the economy and they are both costly and deadly. At no point in my lifetime have I heard any credible shift about how healthcare is administered and funded to fall in line with essentially the rest of the world. I will certainly not celebrate murder of anyone because that would be very unhinged and unhelpful and it's perhaps that mentality which is why nothing has been achieved this whole time. Certainly has been the case with things like school shootings where a tragedy is gone and forgotten about until the next one a week later rinse and repeat. As a starting point, a FOI request on how many of their politicians have an invested interest at baseline medical level for starters and then the blame can be proportionally issued and then maybe instead of funding the bombing of hospitals in Gaza with missiles to Israel, they can start paying out of their own pocket to help their own population.
  10. Deplorable act of violence against a husband, father and human being. Bernie Sanders is also a geriatric hypocrite who did absolutely nothing in power to change anything he preaches. Maybe he should ask Kamala Harris what she did with the $1.2bn spent on her calamitous campaign of bribing multi-millionaire celebrities. I can understand peoples anger but maybe they should direct their concerns at the only people that can enforce a legislative change rather than hide in their basement and then come out of the woodwork to commit an atrocity like these incel school shooters do. An heinous act like this will just increase anxiety at the top and have a detrimental impact that will ripple down to people further.
  11. 1. Balatro That's about it really. Not been a good year for gaming at all. Haven't played Black Myth or Silent Hill 2 yet and I imagine they'd be on the list but having not played them, I can't nominate.
  12. Spurs throw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-4 to Chelsea. Really isn't looking good for Ange especially bringing back defenders too soon and then still conceding four. Chelsea look a strong outfit this year but you can't be bottling such a commanding lead in such tragic fashion especially off the back of two poor recent defeats.
  13. Just seen Dino Crisis is now available to purchase on PS5/4 for £8/$10 as well as being free for PS+ subscribers. It did launch a couple of months back but only to PlayStation+ Premium but after several weeks of badgering, Sony have done the correct thing for once by making it available to buy instead of holding their back-catalogue to ransom. Dino Crisis STORE.PLAYSTATION.COM Escape an island overrun by dinosaurs in this classic survival horror title Definitely gonna grab this over the festive period.
  14. That's a shame. After all the recovery work Konami did for a decade and then to throw it all away trying to incorporate mobile gaming into the PS5 era of consoles and an off-the-shelf engine without much consideration was just insane. I remember saying at the time it would take them at least 3 years to remotely get back to square one where they were back in 2014. Looks like they still aren't quite there yet. It gave EA an open goal to be even lazier! Definitely one of the biggest travesties in gaming especially where PES was back in the late 90's and mid-2000's.
  15. I might give that another look sometime - can't believe it's been 3 years already. I'm sure it's improved a lot but it sounds like the free to play model is still destroying the basic experience.
  16. I've lined up Far Cry 2, SWAT 3, Kingpin Life of Crime and Unreal Gold this month. Some proper classic shooters!
  17. Game has released and it seems it suffers from two really problematic issues - long balls that are persistently flawless and terrible keepers. The shooting seems pretty good in terms of variety but apparently dribbling is a bit clunky and you never feel like you have the ball truly under control. Hopefully they can address the two burning issues but after all this development time and betas, I'm not sure it will happen anytime soon if at all. I'm probably going to skip it for the time being and look at modding eFootball 2021 instead which seems insane these days
  18. For anyone that didn't see the original promo I mean, where the fuck is the car? The logo is hideous too. And this is the brains behind it all If you gave me a million guesses, I'd never even think it was a car let alone Jaguar.
  19. I can understand them wanting to broaden their appeal outside of rich old white dudes but this new marketing campaign and car is unlikely to be the way Jaguar boss defends rebrand after backlash - as new electric car revealed NEWS.SKY.COM Jaguar's boss says 'we want to be bold and disruptive' as its new electric car, which is expected to cost more than £100,000 when the production version hits the market, was unveiled at an event in Miami. This will probably be a Bud Light 2.0 moment but probably way more damaging.

  21. I use an iPhone for personal and an Android for work and it really boils down to what you are used to in terms of the interface and if you use Google applications as a primary i.e gmail. If you don't want to have a phone contract and don't wish to pay £700-1300 for a new iPhone either, then Android at is worth exploring as you can get very good brand new phones in the region of just a couple hundred quid whereas a 5 year old refurbished iPhone will still cost that on eBay. Personally I prefer iPhone because it's what I've used since 2007 and I am used of the interface and functionality more. Android is still great as it covers a multitude of devices of varying quality and costs but I'm not a fan of a lot of Google shit as it's just needlessly convoluted most of the time. Anything Apple is a total rip-off though but if you can get a good value contract for a device worth supposedly 4-figures then that is probably more appealing than a cheaper Android.
  22. No real surprise. Despite initial 'success', the numbers plummeted alarmingly and everyone returned to the usual suspects as the game struggled to maintain a stable audience. The game was never going to be profitable and Ubisoft have also shut down two of its studios as a result, affecting over 270 developers. I do like the ethics behind the development but the game was released too late in the day after multiple heavily-publicised delays and having Ubisoft's unpopular game factions as the brand was actually remarkably weak and uninspiring.

  24. I've done about 20 hours so far and it's been good fun! Unfortunately immersion is broken way too often where you can be having a great time but something completely takes you out of the experience. The game runs well but it's definitely a demanding title but the only noticeable issue I had was in the first town with some severe, but momentary slowdown similar to what Phil encountered. The survival aspect is not great though - everything is way too easy to come by yet the economy for things like repairs and upgrades is insane. Needs some serious balance especially in the early game. Far too many degraded weapons floating around also. The story is incredibly weak and the writing isn't great either. Even Bethesda would be mildly embarrassed at some of the lame face-to-face interactions this game has! Combat is fine but the mechanics can be slow and cumbersome which can be very annoying as the AI is broken right now - enemies can spot you a mile off and they spam grenades and direct hits non-stop. Mutants are way too spongy and seem unfazed with being shot most of the time so some battles can be brutally unfair especially as you faff around with reloading, medikits, nades and bandages. Not being able to mantle can also be annoying in places plus the stamina system can see you too tired to even swing a knife. It's also way too easy to become encumbered and for all the stuff you come across, the default leaves you incredibly light. Even with all that, there's still a great game here but much work still to be done by the devs. A lot of the jank is pretty inexcusable though and if this game was published by someone like Ubisoft, it would be critically lambasted and rightfully so. Thankfully the community have saved the day with a string of essential mods which I will probably have to download and incorporate into my current run. I'm also a bit weary of broken quests and softlocks which can arise and those fixes, if possible, are way more complicated. 7 Essential Mods to Install for Stalker 2 - STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl Guide - IGN WWW.IGN.COM While the Exclusion Zone in Stalker 2 is meant to be challenging and ruthless, mods can implement some quality-of-life adjustments to make your time in the
