  1. Beat league leaders Sheffield United this afternoon which I didn’t see coming!
  2. I feel like I've completely outgrown Nintendo and they seem to be blurring into the likes of Sony and Microsoft with scummy tactics. Indie and AA titles are very expensive on their machine and with physical copies soon to house only partial install data, you have to wonder why they even bother. Soon to be paying £70 for a game that's useless without an online connection and 30gb download. Their exclusive range also does nothing for me now - I can see why Nintendo-only gamers may be wowed at some titles but even BOTW just felt like a bloated open world game with some infuriating mechanics and limited gameplay. I did enjoy some of it especially at the start but having played a zillion of these titles, it wasn't anything new or unique. Even for younger gamers, the amount of BS and the price here is just exhausting and they could easily broaden their horizons by a monumental margin with things like the Steam Deck. Switch 2 will basically have all the modern nonsense that plagues gaming but with a heavily restricted and overly-expensive catalogue.
  3. Absolute legend! I remember him coming to my village to film The Saint back in the 1990's. Even popped into my corner shop too! I wasn't familiar with him at the time but everyone around the place was going wild at such a massive figure being in our neighbourhood 🤣
  4. New game from FromSoftware and somewhat a spiritual successor to Bloodborne. For some reason it is a Switch 2 exclusive which is utterly insane seeing that virtually all their money is made from other consoles and PC including the massive success of Elden Ring.
  5. A good breakdown here
  6. Not sure if anyone has been following this longstanding legal case, but a massive judgement has finally been awarded today in favour of Billy Mitchell and rightly so it seems. This result was actually a huge shock to people, especially those that had backed Karl Jobst to the tune of over $200,000 through crowdfunding because they believed the case was surrounding Mitchell suing Jobst for false cheating allegations and was a forgone conclusion. However, it has been revealed the civil action brought by Mitchell was actually regarding Jobst, who made implications that Mitchell was responsible for another person's suicide. This is very different from the narrative Karl Jobst made when he pitched to secure funding from supporters and now people are very angry that they have been mislead about the nature of the case. I have followed this for a very long time and have watched about 15 videos that Karl Jobst had produced prior and during the trial period and I don't think I have seen such an astonishing deception before, or whereby money is obtained under such false, or misleading pretences. Not once was it ever disclosed that he was being sued for the suicide claim and instead he persistently stated that it was a lawsuit based on allegations of cheating and this is firmly what people believed. This is clear fraud by false representation so he will have to pay the backers their money back else he could be liable for that too. Billy Mitchell is one of the biggest pieces of shit con artists in the industry but that pales in comparison to what Jobst has done and I am absolutely stunned. Karl Jobst was a very popular YouTuber in the speedrunning community with world records, and also covered lots of big stories especially when it came to cheating or fraud in the industry and had over 1m subscribers. He will never recover from this, not just for losing the lawsuit but lying to his supporters for years and taking their money under false circumstances. Mitchell will have a small fortunate reprieve and a huge payday to boot and it'll be paid for by the people Karl conned ultimately. He took the long-time feud too far and has paid an astonishing price with his money and career YouTuber Karl Jobst to pay more than $230,000 to Donkey Kong record holder Billy Mitchell in defamation ruling | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM And it could have been more, the judge said.
  7. The developers are literally based down the road from where I live but I'm just not a fan of their games. It's great to see them try something new outside of their safe Sniper Elite series but they just can't seem to shake off their reputation for making games that are just somewhat decent but nothing overly special or original. I don't have Game Pass so I wont try it and I wouldn't want to pay anything more than £13 for something like this. May have a look in the future but it seems to be just another ok game from them.
  8. Out today in early access. Been in development for a few years and has come a long way. Some of the most impressive animations I have seen
  9. Honestly, this game holds up so well I'm not sure a remaster will do much especially with the mods already out there. It's only viable if you wish to get it on console. I've been going through the 1999 classic and it just looks and plays so well that anyone would think this is the actual remastered version!
  10. Released in early access the other day
  11. Anything to justify the upgrade other than a change of the default colour. If something is in rigorous development for 6 years, I expect to see results other than colour change and taskbar arrangement. Windows 7 was revolutionary in functionality and appearance, and Windows 10 provided a strong framework for app integration and virtual reality. I was expecting Windows 11 to lead the way in AI development and tooling but instead it's still focusing on needless features from 2009.
  12. Been using Windows 11 for over a year now and it's just so plain and boring, I don't think there's any feature that stands out. Only time anything pops into my head about it is when it's doing an updated on shutdown. Other than that, Microsoft may as well become the new Apple and release a new one every year for no reason.
  13. This game comes out in early access in about 10 days and is basically a realistic version of The Sims. It looks super ambitious and incredibly impressive at times. If they pull it off it could be absolutely massive
  14. I kind of have mixed feelings about this so far. At times the game looks great but the performance demands are needlessly insane. They've done a good job with improving the assets and a part of me wishes they left it at just that because the ray tracing is draining. The Nvidia slop of DLSS and Frame Gen helps with performance but degrades the image significantly and I wish developers would stop bailing themselves out with this shite. Not only is it an attempt at covering up poor optimisation but it cons the user into thinking they are running a game better than they are whilst unwittingly suffering from a poorer quality experience - like putting a band aid on a deep cut and pretending everything is fine. Developers need to operate within their means and this game is a prime example of them not. They've gone for RTX overkill and hoped that the Nvidia extras can cover this up. I don't know if Source is a good engine for ray tracing - Portal RTX was brutally demanding too but this isn't how things should be done. Doom Eternal is a prime example of how it should be.
  15. Brilliant performance from Newcastle today and a woeful week for Liverpool. Though Burn, Livramento and Joelinton were all exceptional and very happy for Newcastle to win something finally and deservedly so. Shocking display in all honesty from Liverpool - lethargic and never got going.
  16. Looks promising
  17. Demo coming on March 18th
  18. Many are seeing this as Warzone's last chance but the reception hasn't been very favourable as Activision seemingly throw one last ditch attempt at saving the mode. What made the original Verdansk/Warzone so popular was the solid mechanics, BR still somewhat fresh and the global lockdown. The servers were also reliable and there wasn't a culture of cheaters. Warzone has gone downhill ever since with an increase in cheaters, the removal of content and a mishmash of mechanical changes that really affect the core gameplay. With BO6 seen as the worst for authentic movement and Activision still trying (and failing) to create a functional anti-cheat, I think this will flop massively. It may bring a lot of people back initially but I cannot see any longevity and it all seems rather desperate.
  19. Apparently the game is also being removed from sale this month so this could be last chance saloon to get it as well at a discount.
  20. Leaked Battlefield 6 gameplay
