  1. I haven't played this much recently and I'm kinda at the stage where I know what is required to essentially complete the workbenches and then that's the game pretty much 'completed' in its current state. It's been one hell of a game and incredible value for money but there doesn't seem to be much of an endgame. I'm not sure how much legs this game has in its current form and I kinda wish the live event was longer and there was a bit more meat to it. I'm overloaded with gear to the extent, looting has lost a lot of meaning but the stuff I need is almost out of touch with the way PvP is right now and I can't be bothered taking in lots of gear, killing a major ARC and then getting shotted by a free loadout user. It's basically high risk, huge reward but at the same time potential infuriation. If successful, I then have less reason to play the game so I'm damned either way. The skill tree is just pure bloat and whilst the Raider Deck is good to sift through, it is essentially built off the back of doing generic daily feats. Another annoying thing is spawning in late when trying to do a task. Free loadout users should be the ones being dropped in late to lobbies and not someone geared up only to have 16 minutes. Better off just heading to the exit and even that's a risk in itself. Longevity is definitely an issue and although I didn't feel this way at 40 hours, once you progress so much and do so many runs, you can really see where this game is at.
  2. Sunderland still ended up spending close to £160m I think. They spent really well but if they were to get relegated, they'd be in a whole world of trouble for years to come and they wont want to go back to League One or end up doing a Reading. Leicester are due to be deducted an estimated 9pts this month for PSR violations too and their situation could turn extremely dire if they have to sell players in January to stop it happening in the summer. There's just not enough windows or time for teams who are going down to adjust their situation - I can understand why teams going up may be scared to spend because it means they don't have to try and balance the books to fit the stupid PSR rules in no time at all. Maybe getting promoted, planning for relegation and then trying to get promoted again isn't such a bad idea especially if you can pocket a huge sum. Spending it seems to have a double-whammy knock-on effect.
  3. The gulf between the Championship and Premier League is ridiculous and it's getting wider all the time. I think Ipswich have a good squad but I don't think any team in the league this year would be good enough for the Premier League, not even Coventry. Ipswich last night created some decent chances and looked dangerous but just lacked anything clinical in the final third - partly down to our keeper having a great game and perhaps being burned out after Hull away on the Tuesday and some crazy away fixtures in succession. I can definitely see you lot challenging for promotion and securing a playoff place but the days teams can do a Bournemouth or Brentford and maintain a Prem place are long gone.
  4. Sorry Dave!
  5. If it wasn't for all those last minute goals at the start of the season, they'd be sitting in 19th right now. Slot has to go as nothing is working. Pretty amusing situation as the consensus at the start of the season was that they'd with everything with all the signings they made yet they are lucky not to be in the relegation zone🤣
  6. This is all they have and it is honestly a pathetic effort in this climate for a live service title So basically all we have left until season 2 next year is a winter version of a map, a timed event of crap and an axe. In comparison, Black Ops 7 has 9 new maps, several new previously established modes returning plus zombies content and the new Warzone No matter how terrible BO7 is and how it's been received, Treyarch have clearly planned ahead and they are probably making endgame content as we speak. The offering from Battlefield is beyond embarrassing.
  7. I have over 100 extractions solo and only been killed twice in and around the elevator. Best thing to do is choose an exit that isn't hot i.e has more than 10 minutes left on the clock. Also approach carefully and use the built-in social chat saying 'don't shoot' and 'thank you'. Also holstering your weapon can put others at ease. When en route, observe the sky to see if there are any ARC floating around the exit because that can be a sign someone is close by. I also don't push the button blind and also don't leg it to the exit as soon as the doors open as that can encourage opportunists. There's definitely more combat in PvP but solo is pretty relaxed most of the time I find.
  8. The post-launch support is just not good enough. Black Ops 7 has a content-laden season one offering and this game is living off its Battle Royale scraps for maps. The washed-up COD devs that made this game clearly didn't consider the enormity of what is needed to keep people engaged in games of this nature and one map every two months isn't going to wash and nor is a winter version of one of them either. They are also releasing gimmick weapons now so this entire game and franchise is soon to be a joke. All they've done is remake MW2 from 2022 and coincidentally, that's exactly when this game began its development.
  9. Yeah, Valve are pretty strict on that sort of thing and it's nice seeing big companies get held to account like this.
  10. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Suffers 'Terrible' Launch in Europe, With 63% Fewer Copies Sold Than Battlefield 6 — but There's Important Context to Consider - IGN WWW.IGN.COM The performance of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is starting to come into focus, with sales data suggesting it’s struggling not just against rival shooter Battlefield 6, but also last year’s Black Ops 6. Activision's 'too big to fail' statement ain't looking too good right now🤣
  11. Today I reached level 30 with 100 successful extractions in 40 hours and I got all my workbenches to level 2. It's going to be a big and rather dangerous effort trying to get them to level 3 and some of the quests I have left are quite challenging with their multi-step approach that have to be done in one round. I've got about 68% of the Raider Deck unlocked and earned 750 coins without paying a penny. I've been aiming to complete at least 5 feats a day as these pay cred and with good bonuses. Wish the customisation was better though.
  12. This definitely has to be nipped in the bud. Why not hire a professional artist for the calling cards and have them work on them for 3 years exclusively and pay them $25,000 a year. US Congressman calls for regulations to 'prevent companies from using AI to eliminate jobs to extract greater profit' following Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's calling card fiasco | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM "Artists at these companies need to have a say in how AI is deployed." Ubisoft were also caught today on the new Anno game.
  13. If this happens then it will well and truly upstage anything Grand Theft Auto could do
  14. The interface is so well presented and this feature is a huge help. After 20 hours, I managed to find apricots yesterday so I was finally able to remove it from my logbook and track something different🤣
  15. I reached level 20 last night with 50 successful extractions. I have my gear and gunsmith bench at level 2 plus scrappy at 3. I did a fair few quests yesterday and manged to unlock some achievements including returning to Speranza when downed after I got into a firefight at the exit whilst it was opening, downed the culprit, then got downed by an ARC and we both ended up crawling hilariously to the lift! Also flying through live event earning merits plus unlocking Raider decks with the credits. There's always plenty to do and work towards. Today I will do the daily challenges plus I need to broaden my horizons and try and discover new loot required for some of the level 2 benches. I'll probably need to increase my stash to beyond 200 because it is piling up and a lot of stuff, even the basics, you may still require down the line for things like upgrading weapons or simple attachments.
  16. Black Ops 7 campaign is apparently horrifically bad. Always online and you can't pause, full of stupid fantasy garbage and many missions are forced co-op where you have to do meaningless busywork on recycled open world envoironments linked to the battle royale. They probably had months to make this but whoever came up with the story as a direct sequel to BO2 should either be sacked or investigated for suspected hard drug usage. This is one of the boss fights for god sake
  17. Only 20,000 in-game on Steam compared to 280,000 on ARC Raiders. Doesn't look like Battlestate are going to get the bumper payday they were expecting. The pre-purchase price of £34 was appealing but then another £20 for PvE is just asking too much.
  18. I think that's what will happen to Microsoft - they'll become an overnight publisher for Activision, Bethesda, Halo Studios and all the other dying brands they own. They may dabble in cloud gaming to try and maintain an Xbox presence but that will ultimately flop I reckon as a non-viable concept. Sega died because of the prowess of the Playstation but Microsoft killed Xbox spectacularly and they've also destroyed so many developers too. The sooner they vacate this space, the better.
  19. COD Poster-child and Activsion shill Fazz Swagg got banned on the first day. He's been banned from every COD title in recent years and has been caught cheating numerous times on several accounts whilst streaming. Also cheated during the Battlefield preview event and Activision famously paid him and his friends to provide fake trailer reactions It was also funny to see so many big streamers struggle yesterday because their Cronus software hasn't been released yet and no cheats have bypassed the secure boot yet.
  20. New map is really weird - seems to be exclusively indoors. I also ran into a lot of players along the way but thankfully everything was nice and peaceful. I think this place will encourage more PvP action so other areas will hopefully be less combative. I've had 12/12 extractions today and only go into one combat encounter.
  21. If they do, they'll probably demand £39.99 for it!
  22. Patch notes for the update today ARC Raiders - NORTH LINE - November Update 1.2.0 Patch Notes - Steam News STORE.STEAMPOWERED.COM The North Line Train has arrived, prepare for extraction.
  23. I've had about 4/4 successful extractions this evening but the last one was absolutely chaotic - I only went in to the Dam location to see if I can get some apricots for the chicken as part of the challenge but I ended up getting in several firefights. I downed a couple in a 3 way battle after craftily springing on the wounded ones and then evaded about 3 other battles in and around the water treatment extraction elevator which was very tense and I don't think anyone there wanted to lose their gear so we seemed to exit one at a time🤣 The experience is more chilled the earlier in the day but come the evening it's very PVP-heavy and nobody can be trusted.
  24. Valve are releasing a new controller, new VR kit and a console Valve announces a new Steam ‘console’, controller and VR headset | VGC WWW.VIDEOGAMESCHRONICLE.COM The Steam Machine, Steam Controller and Steam Frame have all been revealed… Lots of information in the above.
