Disappointing Thing(s) About the Game

Loved GTA V; the best game of the generation in my opinion. I didn't think much of the radio stations though in all honesty which was a shame as it's one of the best things about the series. When you finish the game, apart from the mini-missions, there isn't much left worth playing for in single player. It's a real shame you can't buy up houses in what seemed possible from one of the trailers. Bit of a red-herring from R* but I suppose they really maxed the city of Los Santos from what was technically possible. Oh and I've lost a few quality motors that have randomly disappeared from my garages:( -
I'm on PC and am a bit paranoid of iffy players but I know the type you mean - xJawz was 15th prestige on Black Ops before I even got the game home.... ....just after midnight release lol! If you get into a lobby with 'suspicious' players on PC; you never know what will happen next - my buddy had his Black Ops 2 stats wiped just by being placed into a lobby. Kinda have to tread on eggshells and hope for the best

So if I am Prestige 1, Lvl 47 for example and I unlock 5 soldiers at once and then choose to rank with the 6th one; will that show a prestige 6 emblem when I start playing? The reason I ask is I've seen some high level players so far in suspiciously quick time

I don't like this, I don't like this at all. The rotation is minimal and the rewards are equally poor. Also Spectre (i think) mentioned how they are flawed in which if you want new ones; all existing progress gets wiped or something? I think there is something like 50 available but to select new ones; you have to clear the whole lot at a squad point cost for the sake of maybe earning 5 more. I swear I'm earning squad points and I don't even know how; I've gone from having 250 to just shy of 750 in just a few hours. The XP and Squad Point rewards therefor seem kinda pointless and they don't actually affect general challenges for camo I don't think either. I think they should do a basic daily rotation just like the contracts in Black Ops with challenges that are doable in a few hours of play e.g 80 kills w/ACOG and you earn 1500XP and 1SP. Currently I have to wina further 250 games of Cranked which reset after I won 100 instead of continuing from 101 to get to 250. This means I have to win 2 and a half times the amount of Cranked games just to earn the same amount of XP and Squad Points. Daft but hopefully that's something they can address over time. I'll just keep collecting Squad Points and not knowing how for the time being!

I have only unlocked one soldier so far and when I max out, I'll buy the next and gradually work my way down the list completing one by one. I have about 750 squad points accumulated at the minute and I don't know how I've managed that lol! A quick question; If you buy a solider but have not maxed out the previous one; how will that show in terms of your rank with the new soldier? Thanks

The bots seem a little more realistic now but as wapntake said; beware of the camping ones now; actually you could say they are 100% realistic as they manage to brass me off as much as the noobs in the public lobbies!

Phase 3 is apparently the last batch of pre-orders which arrive around a couple of weeks before Xmas - I left it a bit late in paying the deposit so I won't be able to get my PS4 until the 3rd wave of deliveries hit the GAME stores. Sucks a little bit but it's sooooo gonna be worth the little wait more!

Apparently this seemingly neglected mode is pretty good fun according to a few media sources. I've only dabbled in a couple of games just to familiarise myself with the maps but it seems it is quite an in-depth addition with lots of customisation. You can also rank up XP and build a team of AI soldiers and lead them against fellow AI or a rival player and his own team of AI. Anyone actually bothered giving this a try? Seems like there is plenty of modes within Squads including survival.

I've gamed on Xbox for the past decade and I am mortified at how dreadful the One is shaping up regardless of all the retractions Microsoft have made. The damage has already been done and their reputation in my eyes is in tatters. I Can't wait to get back on the Sony bandwagon and as far as I'm concerned; Bill Gates can shove the VHS-Esque entertainment box right up his bottom

Pre-ordered from GAME but could only make it to phase 3 which means I won't be getting it until mid-December but certainly in time for Xmas! Still a bit miffed that Watch Dogs has been put back for at least 6 months but I'm still utterly pumped for it and cannot wait to play next gen FIFA

Mmmm interesting coincidence! Strikezone is part of the campaign but the map ripped for MP is domeishly different! The other maps are all pretty unique and well designed albeit a couple of oddball ones so I'll let them off this one. As long as a Downturn-esque map doesn't appear in any DLC; I'll sleep easy

Man City lost 1-0 away to Sunderland for the fourth consecutive year lol! United 1-0 up against Arsenal and RVP has scored which will upset the Gooner faithful especially if they don't get a result there!

I've played about 12 hours so far and have just reached the 40 mark. I have played predominantly Cranked this DoubleXP weekend which has given me a big boost in a short period of time. I hope to get to at least 43 before the normal rate resumes tomorrow. I've seen a couple of people already on PC well beyond 1st Prestige but they have clocked 25+ hours already. How's it going for you lot and what rank do you think you'll finish the day on?

Funny you mention that; I had Black Ops for the PS3 and that was a great game but ruined by lag on a level I have never experienced before and will probably never see again. Even with the local settings and running the risk of featuring in French lobbies with their (FR)UnCampe names, it was a terrible experience. I don't have much luck with Call of Duty but Ghosts even with his poor settings and general appearance is more acceptable that some of the times I've had on these games!

I don't think it was ever confirmed and in all honesty I can't see that being the reason as the host is the only person affected as his data is being captured yet how many hosts had advantage... I can see general server storage being an issue and perhaps a reason for it being removed - everyone had about 100 matches at a time stored and if 10 million played in a day; that's a whole lot of data to retain.

Does anyone know why theater mode was removed? I had no idea they were omitting it for Ghosts and it's a real shame because I don't have any capture hardware and it's made looking out for hackers pretty tricky. I'm on PC so I usually swear by such a function. Also why hasn't Elite been updated - have they canned that also? I'm not too bothered about this but it just seems along with theater, a step backwards from what we've seen in recent years.

After the update yesterday, the game asked me if I wanted to revert to the game's recommended optimisation settings, so I clicked OK and when I went in to the menu; everything was set to low instead of extra! Jeez, I didn't even know 640x480 existed anymore

I am currently playing Kill Confirmed, Cranked, Blitz and Domination on PC and it seems pretty hit and miss depending on the map and the mode. Cranked seems a bit iffy but the mode is extremely chaotic at the best of times so that doesn't surprise me! I haven't seen the patch notes yet but DOM seemed slightly better yesterday along with KC but I don't know if this is patch-related or just being my luck was better with the spawns!

The 360 version is pretty much flawless isn't it? If I were you, I'd hop on now as it's absolutely brilliant so far! I'm on PC and we definitely needed a patch pronto and it is looking better already.

If EA think they can topple Call of Duty then they are pretty damn deluded! I agree with TigerBurge that they should release it in a window that is not riddled with competition. The late spring/early summer is usually a quiet time for games anyway with more focus on trade shows and the Christmas launches. EA will never win and even with a fully functional and perfectly working game; they will still fall short by a country mile in my opinion. I hate what EA have done to their FPS franchises; they are all rushed, broken and in Medal of Honor's case; soulless. The games are non-comparable though albeit being in the same genre I feel and Call of Duty is more user friendly and enjoyable rather than being more vast and 'realistic'. If EA want to keep self-competing, they are wasting their time as nothing will get close that they can offer.

I haven't seem the 96th minute penalty for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge but apparently it's an outrageous decision! Mourinho retains his unbeaten home Premier League record but very controversially. Liverpool looking pretty decent as are the impressive Southampton.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for a half decent pair of trainers? I usually opt for KSwiss but any other brands and styles of footwear would be most welcome. Also, what do you guys usually wear casually?

Anyone else finding the spawns a bit irritating? I swear I either get placed way away from the action or far too close to the mix. It seems worse on some maps than others but it's particularly bad on the likes of Siege. Nothing an update can't cure mind...
