  1. Not sure if I'm blind or if the search isn't working well but I've noticed a few threads missing including Age of Mythology Retold one, an Assassin Creed Shadows one which I was going to necro today plus this has bugged me in the past where I swear threads have been created for games and remember posting them but I can't for the life of me find them again.
  2. Delayed until 2025 and will appear on Steam right from the off. Another nail in the coffin to Ubisoft who are having a miserable time of it and are probably in their bleakest ever period. They looked untouchable once but regurgitating the same old games with the same old gameplay in the laziest way possible has really come back to bite them. Even die hard AC fans have really turned on them of late and the amount of cancelled projects is insane. Also wasted so much time on big projects that got culled. Assassin's Creed Shadows has had so much controversy and embarrassing moments, it's probably best they push it back to let the dust settle as well as fix all the shoddiness. Assassin's Creed Shadows Delayed to February 2025 - IGN WWW.IGN.COM Ubisoft has delayed Assassin's Creed Shadows by three months and given it a February 2025 release date.
  3. At last! Sony finally have a game to show off the PS5 Pro with instead of recycling 4 year old titles.

New credible reports suggest the game actually cost $400,000,000 to develop and it's been discovered that the end credits are over one hour long lmao!
  5. Was announced a couple of days ago that it is in the works and looks to be a return to form with a modern setting, 64 players and no specialists. Although BF2024 didn't regain much in popularity, it did improve under the leadership of Vince Zampella (formerly of Titanfall) and he along with his team probably saved the franchise's future. They did some u-turns on some really stupid design choices made by (now) ex DICE developers and made some key changes to maps and other elements. It wasn't enough for many but at least it paves the way for another game - this one hopefully done right from the off. The background seems to be Gibraltar.
  6. They don't seem to realise if a player is absolute ass, the will just sit on a 7+ year contract rather than leave the club, or force a move with a large part of their remaining contract paid off. Mudryk is hot garbage yet he's got it comfortable for the foreseeable. Palmer is probably Chelsea's only half decent prospect and even then his contract wont add much to his overall value because teams will just move on if the negotiations are too complex or he isn't budging easily. I was hoping the Prem had clamped down on this nonsense.
  7. I'm probably gonna give this one a miss. Some parts of the beta were fun but the majority were just too exhausting and frustrating. The pacing is just too erratic and combine this with the very basic map design and it just feels like you're running and gunning all the time with absolutely no need for thought or strategy. Doesn't feel like a game that's been made for 4 years - I'm sure the campaign is a decent and highly polished offering but the MP is once again full of questionable design choices, fundamental flaws and lots of frustrations. The spawns on Babylon are probably the worst in the history of COD too
  8. For £700, you don't even get a plastic stand FFS! The disc drive is bad enough but to not get a something you got with the base PS5's that probably costs £2 to land is just the biggest insult in gaming. If you want the device to be peripherally the same as the old PS5, you'll need to spend an extra £100 on the drive and stand alone. Sony also slyly upped the prices of controllers this week. This is the lowest point in gaming since the XB1 VHS reveal.

  10. $700 LMAO

This is Sony's next big disaster
  13. Another thing I am a bit concerned about is the visibility - the graphics are nice, clean and pretty colourful in places but anyone that's prone appears dead so you practically have to shoot dead bodies to double check or risk being killed by someone laying down. The amount of people that look ragdoll dead but are just camping is crazy and I think this could develop into a real problem unless the animations offers better differentiation. JackFrags posted a video last night where he was camping on stairs and out in the open and players were just walking over him assuming he was dead.
  14. Well Dr Disrespect has returned and has somehow turned everything around to play the victim. He’s clearly spent the last couple of months carefully concocting this extraordinary new narrative and is even claiming some of his admissions previous were deliberate to mislead the media and insider witnesses. It’s just nauseatingly narcissistic and quite astonishing how he’s managed to spin this and it seems many people are falling for it. I can see why he got away with this behaviour and was able to keep it under wraps because of this almost insufferable answer he has to everything. Next up he will probably claim to be suing Twitch, media outlets and certain individuals in a bid to maintain this ‘victim’ momentum and completely flip the situation in his favour. Already people are buying this ‘he was probably set up’ nonsense even though he admitted to everything in his now deleted Tweet..
  15. Just finished 3 matches in the open beta and it feels like Cold War on crack. Everything feels really sweaty and erratic. Can be fun but it’s also rather messy. It’s certainly enough of a change over Cold War and the last few COD’s but I actually think Vanguard offered the best pacing and hit reg IMO so it feels a bit of a step back in that respect. Visuals look good as do the animations but i fear the movement will be exploited to hell down the line. I’m tempted to grab this if nothing else floats my boat towards the end of the year but I hope it doesn’t become too exhausting.
  16. Design has been leaked and looks like they are going for the 'Adidas' look🤣

    And so it begins
  18. Some decent reviews so far although the campaign and other PvE content seems a bit light and the MP may not have considerable staying power. I may put it on the backburner for the time being and grab it in the sale.

I can't wait to find out how many projects were cancelled for this too. I imagine Bloodborne 2 was one of them.

Concord taken offline after two weeks with refunds to be issued. Concord: Sony pulls shooter from sale two weeks after release - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK Concord reportedly spent eight years being made but it is being taken offline soon after launch. Probably the biggest failure in gaming history and a very expensive one too with it costing an estimated 9-figures and taking 8 years to produce. Absolute catastrophe for Sony and you have to wonder how the game made it this far. LawBreakers was a warning back in 2015 and with many massively established games pre-pandemic being F2P, a £40 hero shooter in 2024 in a over-saturated genre was never going to have any widespread appeal especially with barely any marketing and very unappealing design. They were never going to drag people away from the likes of COD, Overwatch, Valorant, Apex and even Destiny 2 especially with such a steep entry fee. They made no attempt to liaise with the community until a month before release which was fatal and anyone with a functioning brain could’ve told them in 2019 that this would be a bad idea and to give it up. Feel a bit sorry for the devs but they’ve really failed to assess the market in the last 6 years but this is all on Sony for allowing it to happen and taking such a backseat.
  22. Releases in a week and it looks really promising
  23. I've forgot about this game but watched some footage and it honestly looks like a slow version of FIFA with a shoddier presentation. Quite disappointed really because initially the game was full of promise in not doing what EA were doing yet it now looks like a carbon copy and borderline asset flip. Some of the animations look decent though and far less erratic than in FIFA on Frostbite but it all looks a bit cheap
  24. Game is not doing too well after a promising start XDefiant is 'struggling' claims source as player numbers reportedly plummet METRO.CO.UK Ubisoft shooter XDefiant might result in more layoffs at the company, as sources claim that player numbers are in significant decline. With BO6 imminent, I think it may very well be on the brink and support will be dropped entirely.
