  1. Good review from ACG. Not a big fan of this series but it looks a reasonable game after their short break away from farming out the games annually.
  2. Goal of the season guaranteed
  3. The first one was god awful - felt like a Battlefield game with lasers. No single player element until one was thrown together which was basically survival mode or some wave based garbage. 5-7 hours which basically means 5 sounds about right compared to other AAA linear games with a priority MP componenet. This game is definitely for Star Wars fans rather than seasoned FPS gamers. People that love wasting their money gambling will also enjoy the pay to win element.
  4. If a game has loot boxes; I'm not going to buy it at all. The scumbag publishers don't deserve a sale or a +1 to their player count which they can smear in the face of their shareholders to show how successful their piece of shit is. Loot boxes is bad enough as it's bordering on gambling but now that Activision have exposed themselves for essentially match-fixing and P2W matchmaking manipulation; it just shows a further despicable level of scumbaggery in the industry. The sad thing is no matter how prominent this problem becomes; people will still throw money at games and companies will make billions. Until legislation is brought in which could take years and may not happen at all, it's only going to get worse and the best thing to do is not buy games like this at all. Best just to avoid games form EA, Activision, WB, 2K and Square Enix. Now that lootboxes have weeded their way into single player games whilst using deliberately stifled progression to force users to buy rather than grind; it open the doors for more games to have such a system in place.
  5. After all the spending and the hype behind the manager; they are actually no better off than what they were under Brendan Rodgers, if not worse! There's talk that David Moyes could be in a shock return to Merseyside with Everton and it wouldn't surprise me if Rodgers goes back to Liverpool at this rate. Might not be a bad idea either. The way it's going, they'll have to win the Champions League just to qualify for it next year.
  6. Liverpool 4-1 down to Spurs and you gotta wonder if Klopp is also a candidate for the sack like Billic and Koeman. I expected the reds to be challenging for the title and not struggling to stay above Brighton and Huddersfield. Monk, Carvahal and Grayson are also clinging on to their jobs plus Mick McCarthy is under growing pressure. It's funny that Everton's man of the match was their keeper who still conceded 5 and currently Burnley have jumped ahead of Liverpool in the table despite losing 3-0 yesterday!
  7. Pay2Win confirmed by EA themselves https://www.gamespot.com/articles/star-wars-battlefront-2s-pay-to-win-complaints-are/1100-6454189/
  8. In defence of the banned fan; at least he weren't out robbing houses I suppose
  9. This was even funnier than the result - bloke with a kid in this arms tries to punch a load of other blokes which has to be the most sterotypical scouse thing possible!
  10. Typical PR. I don't think the system has been fully implemented but I certainly believe it would have been tested to some extent. They only secured the patent the other day but have probably been developing the system it for many years especially if it was originally filed back in 2015 which means they must have had a foundation and concept strategy in place even long before that. If it wasn't for this exposure, I reckon it would have been 100% incorporated into WWII and could probably still be irrespective of what Sledgehammer say right now. Activision may be playing it off as some 'experiment' done by an outside team filed years ago but it's brutally clear that they wanted to include these systems into their games which operate in the most pinpoint detail. Pay2win and loot craftes is bad enough but this is essentially match-fixing/rigging which is only another level of corruption.
  11. Still works my end. Try this one instead. Better commentary on this one also
  12. This is a good video that goes into a bit more detail
  13. Ah Michael Condrey; the man who once said Supply Drops would be cosmetic only in AW.....just one day before Activision released all the pay 2 win weapons Sledgehammer had been developing for months that were only available in paid Supply Drops! Even if he was telling the truth, he cannot stop Activision implementing it around December time when everyone has bought the game that was going to do so and when supply drops are in full swing. I hated SBMM but I'd happily take that sweaty shit over being branded a 'junior' because I'm not buying supply drops and then being placed into matches with users with P2W weapons in the hope that Activision think I'll then open my wallet after I got my arse kicked Activision never cease to amaze me but this is the lowest of the low. The only thing that they could do now would be pay to play where you pay £10 every time you connect online to their servers or something!
  14. RIP matchmaking https://kotaku.com/activision-patents-matchmaking-that-encourages-players-1819630937 That's the final nail in the coffin to Call of Duty. Only a matter of time until it weeds its way into their other brands and then they can make money out of it by flogging the tech to other developers like EA. This could have a dreadful impact on mutliplayer gaming.
  15. Management is clearly not for Shakespeare and he should go back to being a playwright instead
  16. I got offered by email Brazil and Germany tickets from the FA for £20 so I did the sensible thing and permanently blocked them I wouldn't even want these emails appearing in my spam folder to be honest.
  17. Agents of Mayhem is 66% off right now and it's only been out two months!
  18. The building element in Fortnite is flawed because players can build instant cover to save their arses. If someone is shooting at you head on, you can spawn an instant wall and then keep on building so the opponent can get remotely close to you. It would be fine in an open survial sandbox mode but for BR; it's a really strange implementation especially in how it can impact gameplay.
  19. Can't believe this thread is nearly two and a half years old and the game still isn't out! Definitely going to pick it up at some stage.
  20. Also I think the loot level quality such as the armour and helmets is another thing that differs. Directional sound is probably another but still needs some work on PUBG. Fortnite also bizzarely allows for base building on the fly which is a strange inclusion especially when you can generate cover.
  21. I had a close call earlier
