Saw a three hour stream yesterday and I wasn't impressed at all. Hope this is simply a case of a game getting off to a slow start but it is a bit concerning.
It's only March and we've had Resident Evil 7, Nioh, Horizon Zero Dawn and Nier Automata so far plus Mass Effect Andromeda and Prey are coming up.
All I can say is thank god Ghost Recon Wildlands was a bag of average turd.
This is actually the first remastered title in videogame history to re-charge for DLC. All games/packages of this nature usually consist of the 'Complete, Gold or GOTY' edition with all DLC included in the core product. Seeing Activision charge for material that costs $5 more than what it did a decade ago plus the fact the game is dead anyway is rather cringeworthy of them. With the first DLC being dished out for free partly to mitigate the hate for supply drops; people could have been forgiven for expecting some consistency in the content being free.
The last Bioware game was utter shite and it even broke my PS4 but I hope this turns out to be as good as the other ME games. I'll wait for reviews and if it's good; I may even get my console fixed to play it!
Barcelona 6-1 PSG! The biggest comeback in CL history and probably the best ever seen in football.
3-0 up on the night being 4-0 down on aggregate from the first leg then PSG score with 28 minutes left meaning they needed another 3 goals and with 88 minutes on the clock; Barcelona scored 3 to turn it around. That's almost as big as winning the whole thing and will be just as memorable. Probably give Enrique a new contract now lol!
PSG though - that's such a damaging defeat and I dunno how you can recover from something like that. It was their big chance this year too and they bottled it in shambolic fashion.
Thankfully any issues with this means you can take the unit back to the retailer and get a refund/exchange no questions asked
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-03-07-nintendo-switch-dead-pixels-normal-not-a-defect
''UK purchasers should keep in mind their legal rights to return goods to the retailers they bought them from - regardless of the manufacturer's policy''
Dead pixels can be common in LCD units but at the end of the day is a manufacturer defect and in most to all cases; the consumer is eligible for a replacement or refund within a 7-14 day period in most countries.
I added this to my wishlist as it looks decent and could probably grab and maintain a decent population. H1Z1 KOTK was riddled with problems and still is an unfinished mess and games like The Culling died. Even Ark Survival of the Fittest has struggled despite the main game being a huge success so we definitely need a solid battle royale experience and this could be the best we're going to get.
The game is on the Wii U I realised the other day and according to reviews; there is virtually no difference between that version and the Switch so I'll probably pick up a pre-owned Wii U, a pre-owned Zelda and play it that way and save a couple hundred notes in the process.
Liverpool have appointed EA's Peter Moore as CEO http://www.thisisanfield.com/2017/02/liverpool-appoint-former-ea-sports-figurehead-peter-moore-new-ceo/
Liverpool fans will be buying season passes instead of season tickets from now on it seems...
Ocarina of Time was the best game I've ever played and despite getting The Wind Waker and the Twilight Princess after; nothing can beat that game. Even with my copy of the WW on the GameCube; I gave up and popped in the OOT mini disc and played the 'remaster' instead. Not sure if Nintendo have it in them to create any groundbreaking titles like they did back in the old days and I really miss that and the PS4/XB1 is being filled with so many shitty season pass/DLC riddled games that forever disappoint yet the N64 was full of great games that despite a hefty price; you got so much value for money out of them. I hope Nintendo do well with the Switch as this is their last shot and having a console and handheld combined; the must and should succeed...
It's coming back! This phone was insanely popular back in the millennium and everyone including the queen probably had one. Definitely the best phone I've ever had and a technological masterpiece that will forever upstage any advancements past and present in the smartphone sector. Not sure about this reboot but what you're getting is a phone that's a fucking phone to make phone calls with. Texts and snake also included!

Played nearly a couple of hours of the beta on PC so far and this game is the mixed bag I was expecting. Visually, it looks magnificent at times and the draw distances along with the general scale is insane. Some textures are iffy as hell up close but all in all; it looks incredible for the most part. The combat seems decent and I like the 1st person ADS and the movement controls are also reasonable although the cover elements aren't as slick as their other games such as The Division and even bloody Watch Dogs 2.
The amount of negative aspects here is pretty alarming though and really drags the game down. Character creation is pretty garbage just like The Division and Ubisoft will no doubt be farming out decent cosmetics through DLC at a price of course. The story is as weak and confusing as hell along with being rather uninspired. The acting is pretty poor and the script is painfully bad most of the time.
This may be a beta but we all know from experience that its more of a demo and some things just cannot and will not be fixed. The driving is very poor and there are issues with the collision detection and general physics being somewhat wonky. The AI is pretty shite and at times the game is painfully easy. The missions I've played so far just stink of your typical sandbox cliche and combine this with the poor narrative and script anyway; and the whole game will probably just feel like a bland experience where everything you do is linear and feels like a side mission.
It's clear that the developers are focusing purely on co-op and it's up to the gamers to create their own story to bolster their experience. As a solo game; it's pretty weak and although you have 3 other AI players you can direct who actually perform decently; you really need to be playing with friends to get the most out of it because it's very empty and mediocre otherwise.
Another good tie tonight. Sutton played really well and deserved a goal in all honesty. Arsenal we professional about it throughout so fair play to them too. Huddersfield v Lincoln final it is..
Yeah I think we would've given them a massive test again but at the same time a replay would have made our fixture pile-up even worse - already got games in hand against Charlton, Bolton and Sheff Utd which has been re-arranged 4 times already and if we got a draw yesterday; it would have got cancelled again lol! Also got the EFL Trophy semi final coming up so we're pretty much playing every Saturday and Tuesday now and any more games will see us playing Thursday mornings probably! We could have easily gone out in the first round away at Macclesfield so I can't complain really.
Getting ready to watch the Spurs game now which should be interesting!
Fair play to 10 man Millwall for adding insult to injury to Leicester's season! Amazing draw for Huddersfield against Man City too. Gutted about Oxford - went 2-0 down after a slow start; managed to pull it back to 2-2; went on to dominate the rest of the match only to get caught on the break late on as we didn't want a replay. Sick defeat but we did well in the end and it's not often you see Prem sides against lower opposition having 11 men behind the ball a whole half! Looking forward to the draw nevertheless and hope Lincoln secure a big day out or a route that could see them in the semis. Sutton v Arsenal could be a laugh too!
My FA Cup predictions..
Burnley 3-1 Lincoln
Huddersfield 0-3 Man City
Middlesbrough 1-1 Oxford
Millwall 2-1 Leicester
Wolves 0-4 Chelsea
Fulham 2-2 Spurs
Blackburn 1-3 Man Utd
Sutton 1-0 Arsenal
