  1. Oh dear! When you spend your entire life putting everything you do every minute of every day on social media; it's bound to come back to bite you on your big fat fake ass http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-37538453
  2. Sam Allardyce resigns as England manager Say what you want about big Sam though - 100% record makes him the most successful England manager of all time
  3. Darkest Dungeon has just been released on PS4 and is very highly rated on PC. It's a narrative driven side scrolling dungeon crawler
  4. I have a PS4.....but it's been broken for the past two years Never managed to even get PSN going either I'm probably going to replace it with a Slim or Pro in the next month or so; so I shall keep you all posted
  5. The misconception about UT, EA and its packs is that you don't have to give EA a penny just like Battlepacks in Battlefield. On FIFA 16 I put together a hugely rated and highly valued team without buying one pack at all. All the packs I earned were in-game playing other players or against the AI and my players that didn't come in packs were purchased with the Coins which were also earned in-game and didn't cost a penny. UT has been poisoned by these YouTube pricks who use their ad revenue money to buy 100+ packs at a time and this has given people the wrong message that buying packs is the only way to play and thrive in the mode. It took me about 40 hours to piece together a solid side but that was what made it so much fun and so rewarding. YouTubers and the sheep that throw money at EA for packs can't be having a very satisfying time as you're essentially just increasing your chances and the speed of getting better players without having to bother playing matches or having any in-game satisfaction. The transfer market is also fantastic and you can buy/bid on players using just FIFA Coins and developing and maintaining your team with in-game rewards is what keeps you interested. Buying packs from EA in droves is just paying in the hope to win and a good way YouTubers can groom their subscribers into parting with their funds in large doses but at its core; the mode is fantastic when its played how it should be just like Battlefield. BF4 had packs, shortcuts and other shit and UT just has the same stuff dressed up differently and you can happily ignore it for the best possible experience.
  6. I cannot wait to start my Ultimate Team
  7. Is there any good YouTube channels left of any kind these days that you lot recommend checking out? Since the Google bastards bought the site and allowed for people to monetize content; it has turned into an unregulated commercial haven with people farming out half arsed content for easy ad rev, giveaway scams, clickbait, illegal paid promotions, fake videos and attention seeking drama. It's a really toxic platform and has been for many years but most of the good channels that have worthwhile material are now being squeezed and buried under these shitty heavyweight GTA, FIFA, Drama and fucking fashion VLOG channels and once-dedicated users don't seem to have the motivation to upload because of it. I remember watching some channels and they'd upload about 3 quality videos a week but now the same ones who are completely exhausted of ideas are now spamming 3 videos a day or so. Easy money and literally no effort whatsoever. The newer channels who start off by buying subs, likes and joining paid networks to drive awareness are just popping up everywhere and ever single day I'm seeing channels I've never even heard of with 1m+ subs flooding the site doing what every other fucker is doing and has done a million times over. It's also really annoying to see smaller channels get penalised for no reason and then bigger popular ones who persistently break the Google ToS/YouTube guidelines get away with their antics on a daily basis. If there's any worthy channels that you enjoy which still thrive in this competitive and demoralising platform; please share them
  8. Two from the UK prosecuted which the first of its kind http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-37385555
  9. I wanted to get PES again this year but once more; it's a bloody PS3 port on the PC and the PS4 version looks like a copy and paste from last year but seems to look and play worse. My hatred of Cuntnami this year is another massive factor. FIFA 17 is just a fixed FIFA 16 and nothing too special but as a football fan; I don't think either series is anywhere near the standard it should be. MLB The Show and NBA 2K just ooze that level of authenticity that I wish we had in the football games. Shame I don't like Basketball or Baseball really! ^Rich
  10. This game is coming out in a couple of months and it looks absolutely epic! The amount of creative tools is just incredible and it looks so polished. Can't wait!
  11. Just played a couple of matches and FIFA seems really decent this year. It's possibly not the massive step up expected with Frostbite but visually it does still impress and in gameplay terms, it's far more fluid and polished when compared to FIFA 16. Still undecided if I'll invest in a football game this year but if I had to pick one; it would probably be this. FucKonami and Adam Bhatti
  12. ^ that is some serious bullshit. So they've basically referred to the policy now Hello Games are releasing patches!? They can't apply the policy retroactively or futuristically so that is a ludicrous move by Sony support. Bit strange that last week they were issuing refunds regardless of how many hours a user played let alone the the fact they downloaded it and now its a brick wall for people as these free updates are on the way. What a joke! That still doesn't account for all the missing features that were lied about and there's no word if these will be included later on in free updates or within the paid DLC that Hello Games weren't doing but now are... I'd consider contacting Trading Standards or the ASA for some advice on this and they are probably already aware of this situation.
  13. The one seater tanks you can't spawn into for obvious reasons but you can pretty much spawn direct in any other vehicle - even into the passenger seats of planes in mid flight.
  14. They need to remove the stupid 'Participation' Medals or at least allow users to disable them. Not only do they take up a portion of the screen, they sounds they make every 2 seconds is that of Advanced Warfare. Just one kill can get you about 10 flying across the screen! This CoD game was when they didn't cater towards bad players or had to make people feel special but it seems even a half arsed kill from two yards now earns you a string of medals including longshot, epic kill, sharpshooter, 1337 l3g3nd, noscope with no scope medals popping up
  15. I'm hoping that the infestation of players who weren't even trying or just messing around is just down to the fact it was a open beta. It'll be mortifying if these clueless/useless 'CoD' type players actually get the game and play like that. I played a handful of matches and with Battlefield in general; as long as 25 players are doing the business; it's usually a good experience but in the BF1 beta; there were just loads running round like headless chickens, spawn camping or hiding within the map boundaries whilst headglitching. I think players will be more sensible on release only the more dedicated ones will buy it but even so; with these new conquest rules; that could really bring out the worst even with seasoned Battlefield players.
  16. Ah that's weird as I was in a ticket based lobby yesterday but that was probably due to it being on a private experimental branch. I did play on the core servers a few times but didn't even notice that it was purely score based. If they don't have a ticket bleed and it's first to 300 then that's completely screwed up the mode then as players will only be protecting their K/D or not caring about dying as they can then just respawn in a good position without consequence for the team. Pretty daft game design really and that's got me worried about it going pure arcade with musical chairs gamemodes.
  17. Oh wow, so Pro is the Neo. That means that the Scorpio has a massive advantage in terms of power but the PS4 Pro will have a year head start pretty much. Usually it's the other way round! It wouldn't surprise me if we see a PS4 Pro 2 in 3 years time either then...
  18. This is a pretty retarded piece of marketing that will only lead to disappointment. Doing a '4K' tech demo on architecture that isn't capable of native support is just going to mislead people before the inevitable release cries of 'downgrade'. 1080p and 60fps should be the priority and not semi-4K compatibility upscaled at a risk of framerates below 30fps. I can see so many publishers playing the 4K card just to help shift the 'new gen' of consoles but people are going to be let down in the long run and it'll just be a repeat of the current gen when games have to be scaled down and performance is well below standard.
  19. I enjoyed the beta and am looking forward to the release next month. Shame we only had access to one map which was one of the worst I've ever seen in a Battlefield game but the gameplay seems pretty decent although some classes have it oh so easy with no bullet drop at range and simple OHK's. Hopefully Conquest wont be that fast paced on every map either but glad they upped the score to 300 which meant matches lasted close to half hour and it's those high ticket matches that made BF4 so epic.
  20. Is this the Neo or the Slim or some other console? I honestly can't keep track but it appears to be the equivalent of the Xbox One S. No 4K Blu Ray either. Can't see any console game running 4K native for another 5 years anyway - this and the Scorpio is more likely just to push 1080p with 60fps guaranteed. If they start too soon with 4K focused support; we'll be back to square one just like we were in the current gen with games running at a downscaled resolution and sub 30fps. Insert other media
