  1. Campaign can be completed in 3 hours apparently - anyone finished it yet and can concrete confirm this? If true; I may save it for when the servers are down due to DDOS or server maintenance..
  2. ..if even the likes of Driftor openly slate it and he knows and communicates with the developers regularly plus his entire livelihood depends on the franchise succeeding through the yearly cycle. Other popular YouTuber's who aren't Supply Drop opening whores for easy ad revenue; have also expressed dire concern for the upcoming game. Just hope that people who have zero interest in IW don't end up buckling and parting with their money just for the sake of playing Modern Warfare Remastered. If people have to buy a game they don't want to play something they do; it'll be another success for Activision but this time in even more undeserving circumstances. Oh well, Battlefield 1 is epic so who cares
  3. I'm really enjoying this new mode and it fuses old-school Conquest and Rush very well indeed. It can be very chaotic at times but as the objectives are clear cut; most players are on the ball and it can make way for some frantic action that's great fun. I'm still not sure if it's perfectly balanced especially when the next Battalion gets rewarded with things like the train after an initial ticket wipeout however the fact that reinforments don't replenish between maps even if your tickets to; seems to possibly counter the reward of the map specific boost i.e airship/train/dreadnought. It's also a great opportunity to boost your Scout class as the way the objectives and maps are laid out; you have a good line of sight on either defence or attack to get some sniper kills. Just one thing I'm slightly unsure on;- does one map equate to one match i.e if one operation has 3 maps; is that three matches you've just played or is it best of 3 for the win?
  4. Good stuff! Those are exactly the players that are usually on my team; blind, clueless, no sense of awareness, camping in groups, not knowing what to do and then getting humiliated!
  5. Cheers! Seems EA removed the loadout creation from the core menus to stabalise the feature so it will be implemented in due course. Bit of a pain customising on the fly or through the app but it's nice to know that the function is incoming and that it's not some daft oversight.
  6. Seems a decent game with some great maps but fuck me it's a bit of a lagfest at times and the UI is total trash. Can't even customise a loadout in the menu and you have to fuck around unlocking guns and creating a loadout when you're in the bloody match for christ sake! That's the equivalent of opening a supply drop in Call of Duty when you're on a killstreak midgame Conquest ain't the same now it's not purely ticket based. Operations fuses that and Rush together and it works pretty well until the team that's losing gets handicapped to steal victory out of nothing. The game also seems full of CoD players who don't have a clue. Despite all that; it's not too bad and good fun at times.
  7. It's quite sad that the Infinity Ward has demised so badly but most people know that the old IW team are long gone and are nothing compared to the personnel that are in place now. I think half the team that made Ghosts plus in influx of full time Neversoft staff (Tony Hawk developers making COD = logical!) and other external recruits make up the studio nowadays minus the likes of ex producer Mark Rubin who was offloaded after Ghosts plus a few other names that got the chop. Doesn't look like they've learned from past issues though as the same old problems exist from this studio plus the usual complaints from the franchise as a whole. Most people are comparing this as a cross between Ghosts and Black Ops 3 which represents some of the worst of the series to date IMO. Could be expensive if they disbanded the studio plus they'd have to hire even more newbies to fill the gaping void even though most of the studio now are newcomers so if they are to do anything; they'll probably just rename the studio but the way IW have been received since Ghosts; I can't see that name remaining attached to Call of Duty for very long. I'm not convinced by Sledgehammer and even the highly rated Treyarch let themselves down after the excellence they had with Black Ops 1 and 2. As long as the game rakes in the cash whether that be from unit sales or supply drops and even if the success is bolstered by the remaster; the end quality of the game wont matter fuck all to them though. I'm sure Acitivision know that Infinite Warfare and Infinity Ward were in for a tough ride which is why the remaster was commissioned but as long as it makes billions; that's all that matters.
  8. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I've seen it all now! This game is an absolute embarrassment
  9. LOL! If they are going to go all Hollywood and invest in these big celebrities; maybe they should at least target real actors! This franchise is in an horrific state it's embarrassing and quite sad really. I'm expecting to see Jamie Vardy and Kanye West having roles also based on this new design logic!
  10. 2016 has been a bit disappointing and we did see some long periods of nothingness but there's been a few highlights including Dark Souls III, Doom, Overwatch, Uncharted 4, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Forza Horizon 3, FIFA 17, Gears of War 4 and finishing strongly with Battlefield 1, Civilization VI, Planet Coaster, Dishonored 2 and Skyrim Remastered. Jury is out on Watch Dogs 2, Titanfall 2 and Infinite Warfare/Modern Warfare Remastered but there should be something there for everyone to finish the year. The Division, Quantum Break and No Man's Sky will all go down as huge disappointments that failed to live up to expectation and will act as a reality check to people getting too hyped up or carried away on the so callled hype train. 2017 has some promise especially early on and hopefully that will stretch to the rest of the year. Also looking forward to seeing more of games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Wasteland 3.
  11. Oh god it's coming
  12. I recently just got an XB1 controller for my PC after my Xbox 360 one finally died after 10 years. Hoping this one will last equally as long and if I ever get an Xbox One; I can use it on there too. I think Microsoft left it a bit too late to get a foothold back in the PC gaming market and after the Games For Windows Live nightmare, I'm surprised they gave it another shot and it seems they are suffering the usual fundamental problems that caused GFWL to struggle. The whole Windows 10 Gaming platform seem to be a bit of a rushed job too and whilst I can seem them improving the format in the next few years; they perhaps would have been better just swallowing their pride for slacking over the years and just publishing the games through Steam and taking the 30% a key hit. Forza 3 and GOW 4 would have sold in droves on there without any hassle and it makes you wonder how many are holding back or not buying at all because of the platform. Hopefully they'll turn it around and expand the catalogue in time but they've certainly got themselves in a pickle right now!

Looks amazing and is rated as one of the best from the early access members. Cannot wait to try the others too and the only one that's failed to impress is the one from the beta!
  14. The camo's in this game look really decent and not too ridiculous. There was talk about hopefully having your emblems carved into the guns also which would be pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing!
  15. Rockstar have teased this on Twitter and altered some other branding which suggests a reveal of some kind is imminent..
  16. I reckon MW:R will be released as a standalone either way as Activision always plug any gaps in revenue streams and people wanting to play MW:R without having to buy IW is gonna be one hell of a potential consumer base with cash at the ready. It's just a question of when this happens - either early next year when the revenue of IW dries up and people's interest wanes or even as soon as before the year end so the shareholders get a post Christmas bumper pay-off from both titles. I don't think Acitivison even give a fuck about unit sales these days and they don't even disclose this to shareholders now whether that be from embarrassing low sales figures or just the fact that supply drops have overtaken the brand as the biggest line of income. They could probably make the games F2P and still gross bigger than what they were 5 years ago it's got that insane. I dread to think what the average spend per copy sold has been on supply drops but when you see ordinary people blowing hundreds of bucks on them; you can see why Activision wouldn't be too concerned about low sales as they know the mugs that currently play happily mitigate the losses from former customers.
  17. FIFA 17 is really good this year and I highly recommend that over PES. I've been more of a PES fan and it has come a long way in the last few years after a poor performance last gen but this year it's not really gone anywhere and is looking a bit threadbare features and content-wise. FIFA 17 is a massive step up from last year and the gameplay is massively improved. With tonnes of modes, teams and on the pitch quality; it's the only one to consider this time around IMO. BF1 will be hugely popular on PS4 here so that's a great choice whereas CoD has lost all interest and barely anyone talks about or plays it nowadays.
  18. I got Gears of War 4 refunded in the end as the Windows Store is quite literally the worst platform I've ever encountered - even more comical than the uPlay alpha build. I installed the 73gb which took about 3 hours but was pretty plain sailing but then like many thousands of other users; we couldn't download the update without getting an error message so those affected couldn't play the game. Microsoft offered no solutions and seemed pretty confused and no fixes given by users worked consistently. The products in the store are also tied to the C:/ drive and you can't install to another one, not even an SSD which is laughable and you are required to have the amount of total disk space that the game takes available just to install updates even if they are below 100mb for some stupid reason. Users were even reporting the store syncing and removing the game which is really the last straw. I got into the Microsoft Live chat and told the guy that the platform was the worst thing I've ever seen and I want my money back and he fully agreed and granted me a refund I know MS are a bit rusty and trying to get back into PC Gaming but this is embarrassing.
  19. I did see part of Nadeshot's stream when it was conked out and he was trying to respond to messages in the chat except he was receiving about 50 a second - most of which asking him why he wasn't playing the game despite the screen clearly saying not in so many words that the servers were buggered! I even saw some guy pretending to play the beta by overlaying someone elses captured gameplay from Cod XP Still it looks like they got it going eventually and I must say; I'm not all that impressed really - looks like a Chinese F2P version of Black Ops 3. I'll just wait for the inevitable MW:R standalone or stick with BF1 for the foreseeable.
  20. I've checked out a few streams and all I've seen so far is zero gameplay and a shitload of error messages and red faces from streamers. Doesn't look like anyone can get on it!
  21. If you thought that was funny; you can also play as a pigeon
