  1. I just posted about that but you may not be able to see my post...or even this one
  2. A few users seem to be double posting and I get this error popping up after I submit '' Template forums/front/topics/topic is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme ''
  3. Next up; Rio Ferdinand in line to take over from Arsene Wenger....!
  4. Because the only shared aspect of the universe is a statistical server packet which covers only planetary names and statistics which is the only data forwarded to the generated hive. Players connected to PSN each have their own lobby ID and cannot transition to another one or invite someone into theirs. It's therefor not a question of the feature not working day one; but not actually existing and could perhaps explain why the tags were removed and the pre-produced boxes were modified with a sticker.
  5. Here's a boxed copy with a PEGI 7 rating and that's it....but wait.. ...here's the same box but with this phantom sticker removed only to reveal PEGI 12 and a tab that say's 'Online Multiplayer' that was covered up The MMO and Multiplayer tabs on Steam were also removed recently too.
  6. The 'multiplayer/social' aspect as a whole. As seen in the video; this is just a snippet of him talking about the MP portion which was now been completely debunked to not actually exist. It's been proven that no two players can ever appear on the same server so there is zero chance of two players ever meeting in the game. The only social shared features is if you stumble upon a discovered planet and if the user registered the planet; the name is the only detail that will show as merely a statistical packet of data. I know this isn't supposed to be an MP game as such but I don't think it's appropriate that developers lie or inflate features to mislead consumers.
  7. Diving pool looking a bit dodgy Fuck that!
  8. Sean Murray and Hello Games in general have been criticised for their vague and rather lackluster approach to conveying some of the features of No Man's Sky when questioned by the media but one thing was for certain was the ability to meet other players albeit the chances of this being nigh-impossible due to the size of the universe. However; this feat was reached yesterday where two players were on the same planet and despite arranging a meet; they could not see each other despite operating with pinpoint accuracy. 'Server issues' were to blame by the shocked and red faced Murray that this was accomplished so soon and actually done at all but such a momentous moment for the game was actually quite a disappointing outcome and embarrassing for Hello Games. Since then; people have been questioning the credibility of this feature and have dipped into what has been communicated and whether people have been deliberately misled on the basis of something that the devs weren't expecting to happen. Wonder if they just inflated certain aspects of this game for pure pre-release PR expecting players not to ever access such claims or whether it is possible but poorly executed. This tease hasn't helped Murray either way:-
  9. I'm probably going to save my money for Deus Ex Mankini Divided but I'll keep my eyes on the reviews for this one. It'll either be a massive success or monumental flop but after watching hours upon hours of gameplay and listening to so many interviews from the devs; I still cannot decided which way it'll go. I think the biggest problem which could impact it in the long term is the procedural generated world itself - 18 quintillion planets may sound utterly epic but it's just algorithmic fluff that could make the core gameplay repetitive and ironically shallow. I think they would've been better off in a fixed universe with a set number of planets and more social features at the expense of all the snazzy big numbers that are based on varying generated algorithms. Fingers crossed though and hopefully it can live up to the hype at what is becoming a very quiet year indeed.
  10. I also have a 770 and you know its becoming dated when the new games only run at high settings and you get like 40fps unlike the old days where it was ultra/very high all the way and 90fps at worst - they day I have to choose medium is the day I grab a GTX1080 XB1s + Modern Warfare Remastered and it'll feel just like the old days!
  11. Nice! I'm a big fan of Wasteland 2 and will likely grab this when its out of early access on PC. Thanks for sharing!
  12. I predict that Aliens will visit Scotland within the next 10 years and an Amazon Drone will be responsible for killing someone after falling out of the sky
  13. I can't see the market for the Xbox One S at this time - people should stick with the standard system which is dirt cheap now or wait until the Xbox One Scorpio which will be a full 4K unit and 8 fudging teraflops! This XB1 S should have been what the original system was at launch and Microsoft were famous for this shit in the old gen with the Arcade, Core, Elite, Slim etc...The only selling point is a 4K player which is cheaper than mainstream market ones but even so; if people have a 4K TV and want the best out of gaming; just bloody wait as there is no point in watching movies in 4K and then playing videogames in sub full HD on a 4K TV with games running barely at 30fps. At least the power brick is finally gone on the S but if I was ever to go back to Xbox; I'd just wait for the Scorpio.

  19. Now the forum is back online, I can't seem to sign in to my profile or even post messages. Hope I don't have to create a new account. I've tried logging in with my username j4mes ox4d and password euanisatwat but it just doesn't seem to want to work
  20. Just watched the first two battles on Robot Wars rebooted and I must say that the producers and editors have collectively ruined it. Firstly; the camera angles they are using are horrendous whereby you can't see half the battles clearly and they zip from camera to camera so often; you can't work out what the fuck you're watching. Secondly; whoever edited this should be fired - not only was I contesting with these horrible camera angles switching every 2 seconds; when you do finally get eyes locked on the battle; they slow down parts of the fight with this horrible framerate and then incorporate live replays which are even slower on top so the battles don't have any flow whatsoever. The original series had 3 main arena cameras and showed the battles largely in full and at full pace without snazzy editing. The replays were also real-time speed and didn't upset the flow of the spectacle. I honestly don't know what the hell they've done to this but the production is bloody terrible and they better address this shit before the next episode. The rest of the show is rather uninspired and drab too but the editing has somewhat left me shocked.
