  1. Not yet but after the backlash they've received, they may have no choice but to release proper gameplay like they've promised very soon. I'm sick of publishers like this trying to pull the wool over people's eyes or mislead.
  2. Here's the 'gameplay' trailer that was promised by Microsoft and Ubisoft that contains NO gameplay
  3. Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation FREE on Humble Bundle https://www.humblebundle.com/store/ashes-of-the-singularity-escalation-free-game?hmb_campaign=freegame_2020_homepage_ashesofthesingularity_escalation&hmb_medium=banner
  4. Halo 2 out next week!

    New GPU

If you're gaming in 1080p then a 1070 or 2070 is nicely priced with 8gb VRAM. You can run even the most demanding titles at ultra settings and still get around 90fps assuming the game is optimised.
  6. This is a pretty cool concept - you can pay a celebrity to give you or someone you know a shoutout. Makes a great gift idea or something just for a laugh. Prices range roughly from £15-1000 by the look of things and you can get a very quick response. I’m tempted to get Jay from the Inbetweeners (James Buckley) to do one for a mate at £40. Hope the site grows and more celebs get on their books. Easy money for them and something personal to treasure from a celeb you may be a fan of https://www.cameo.com Chris Hansen probably has his work cut out with friends doing wind-ups!
  7. This is another one I enjoyed from them
  8. I don't usually watch channels like this but a these two videos popped up and were pretty impressive
  9. People said that buying the boosters dramatically improved the experience and cut out a lot of the bloated stuff. If they are going to do with the XP gating route then I'd rather they gave the players the choice on how much xp they would earn i.e 3x more if you wanted a quicker experience or standard xp for the full one. The way they've done it just shows that it's all about the boosters but hopefully they'll cut out this format for this game. They could also perhaps reduce the size of the world as bigger doesn't always mean better and that's where a lot of filler comes from. If they moved away from this format and made it more like The Witcher 3 which was very nicely paced, their games would be really amazing and the impact of the boosters alone just goes to show.
  10. Looks an interesting setting. I'm not a big fan of the likes of Origins and Odyssey as I found them to be far too bloated with filler to support the grindy level-gating. If they can move away from selling boosters and create a proper open world experience then I may look to get back into the series. With the last two games, I felt like I was chasing icons for mundane tasks to get XP so I could resume the story and then spending a lot of time in the menus dismantling meaningless gear. They overhauled the hell out of Ghost Recon Breakpoint and removed all the crap in that so hopefully they'll move away from this for this AC game.
  11. EA/DICE have pulled future support for BF5 along with Battlefront 2 to focus on a new Battlefield game for next year. What a shit show this game has been. It was doomed before it was even released after some very questionable design choices and dreadful PR. It was a terrible representation of WWII and riddled with bugs. They did seem to salvage the game slightly with some iconic maps and a proper WWII focus but it was too little too late in the end as many people had left the game. Firestorm was also a major flop which lasted about 3 weeks after two years of work. After the brilliance of BF4 and the popular BF1, I can't believe how badly they messed up this game. Battlefield '6' better be a Modern-type war game following on from the Battlefield 4 formula. I don't want to see one arm ginger females in steampunk clothing speaking with stereotypical London accents armed with shovels in the battlefield again!
  12. Assassin's Creed II free on uPlay right now! Claim it from today until May 5th.
  13. That's what Microsoft did this gen - they had an overkill console in the XB1X yet very little in the way of games overall and probably only one in total that really made use of the tech available, that being Forza Horizon 4. The Series X is overkill once again but if they can get 100+ frames at 4k on games and can deliver groundbreaking first party games on par with the ambitious Flight Simulator then it'll be a worthwhile consideration. I still don't think they have enough studios on board or ones that have the ability to produce major titles like what Sony has though.
  14. Even more Dark Souls 3
  15. Some more news developing regarding this:- - Naughty Dog have started copystriking videos that don't even show the game or talk about the plot. - The producer has insinuated that people that don't like the game are just homophobic or simply hate women. - The internal uproar started when a Furloughed staff member asked for their bonus early based on projections - this was rejected and the person was threatened with termination. Senior staff however did pay themselves early under the table which tipped the staff member over the edge. Loving the memes that this is bringing though
  16. I always tend to avoid spoilers especially on games I am interested in picking up, but in this case I was just so overly-curious due to the recent brewing situation at Naughty Dog and after hearing about potential 'controversies' with the story. A couple of people associated with the project are also widely disliked and many feel their influences would also damage the brand. I am glad I did look into it further because from a narrative standpoint it is shockingly bad. The gameplay seems fine though but the story and characters could be a catastrophic issue so much so, I would actually endorse having a peek because it is the latter that could save people a lot of money. What initially stunned me was how many die-hard TLOU fans were so angry about it and now I see why. I definitely would consider having a deeper look because there doesn't seem to be any benefit going in blind and all you'll get is some very nasty surprises IMO. For me, there was nothing worthwhile to spoil.
  17. Some disgruntled employee at Naughty Dog has leaked a build of the game and disclosed the entire plot and it apparently sounds horrendous. The reaction from fans online from what I’ve seen is utter disbelief at how shockingly bad the story is. I haven’t read too much into the spoilers but I have to say this could be a major disappointment
  18. Made by one person and looks absolutely amazing! The potential here could be incredible especially when it comes to modding. Love the visual style
  19. This is one CRPG I haven't got round to playing just yet. I've done them all from Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter, Planescape Torment, Pillars of Eternity up to Divinity Original Sin. May look to pick it up in the coming weeks. A sequel was recently kickstarted too
  20. Shogun 2 FREE on Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/201270/Total_War_SHOGUN_2/
  21. Alien Isolation is 95% off at £1.50 on Steam! https://store.steampowered.com/app/214490/Alien_Isolation/
  22. DS3 again with some epic bosses
  23. This game usually pops up in the Steam sales for around £13 so I may have a look next time. I've always noticed it ever since its early access days but never got round to trying it.
