  1. Mafia 2 (and 3) Definitive edition went live on the PS4 in Australia last night and it seems they've made no real improvements. I also noticed a glitch on on video where the 'saving' logo got stuck in the entire time on the users screen and more severely on a Stream I saw from the 4:05 mark, you'll notice that a big fucking '2K Account Not Linked' logo appears on the top right. This is a disgrace if they don't patch this out - we shouldn't need to be baited into creating an account on a 10 year old single player game that is paid for. Why do publishers always do dumb scummy things like this? Mafia 3 seems untouched too. They better not screw up the original remake as that's the big one that people are interested in. Here's the stream showing the logo after 4 hours or so:-
  2. I only played Mafia 2 last year and am not generally a fan of gangster movies either but to my surprise I found it to be one of the best games I have ever played and one of the most incredible stories ever told in gaming. The cast was absolutely stellar as was the writing and the world was just amazing and so immersive. I really hope they can pull it off and the original game was way ahead of its time too back in the day so if they can get the Mafia 2 framework with the narrative and characters of the first then it should be a very good game indeed.
  3. I see it pop up regularly on the Steam broadcasts and it looks pretty decent but at £43.99 there are so many better and cheaper options. I've bought into a few of those RPG's in recent months like Outward and they just lack that crucial polish that many of these AAA games have. I would definitely consider trying it in the sale though.
  4. Shite.
  5. OMG they've added Denuvo anti-cheat!? LOL!
  6. A Rainbow 6 Siege clone has popped up on mobile and Apple along with Google have failed to remove it from their stores so Ubisoft are pulling out the big guns. Having watching gameplay, it really is a shameful copy that is likely Chinese but it's quite impressive how they've managed to do it I must admit. Ubisoft is suing Apple and Google for allowing downloads of Rainbow Six: Siege “carbon copy” Area F2 WWW.THESIXTHAXIS.COM Ubisoft has begun legal proceedings against both Apple and Google for making available a free to play "carbon copy" of Rainbow Six: Siege...
  7. I've seen this pop up in recent days and was wondering what it was but now it's finally come clear as a malicious scam which pose a significant threat to accounts

  9. There is definitely are a lot of poor maps in the game and the spawns very problematic on some - players can get relentlessly spawned in the same places so most of the time they are just going over their footsteps to get back into the action. Picadilly was a prime example of this tragic loop. The other factor about spawns is that as they were largely hard-locked, spawn trapping was rife on some key maps like the bridge one and there was no hope of flipping or changing the flow of matches. Treyarch have had their problems but they work very hard on their spawn systems and have been pretty successful especially considering their maps are far smaller but IW never managed to get a hold of this or even understand the issues so they just picked some fixed locations and hoped for the best. I didn't like BO4 and the spawns weren't perfect but the game dictated them based on the live player mapping whereas on MW I could spawn camp and even trap like it was a decade ago. I do think people like Scump in a position of influence need to elaborate in detail to assist the developers because too many of these experienced players had a tantrum and stopped playing the game without really conveying their issues. IW aren't great at accepting or handling feedback especially from regular players but some of the core issues could've been addressed quite comfortably to benefit everyone had people spoken up.
  10. I don't think Modern Warfare was a bad Call of Duty but it's one that was riddled with some surprise old flaws and generally poor game design I found. Infinity Ward's initial bad relationship with the community really soured the long-term experience for some big name players and the format pretty much killed off any eSport aspirations - not that I give a fuck about that like most people but it did leave a bit of a hole. My two biggest gripes with the game was the amount of needless bugs that persisted and how the file architecture was designed where we would get small playlist and bug fixes yet the update would take around 8-12gb because we had to download and overwrite files we already had. For a game that was over 100gb to start with, I must have had about 200gb of updates on top and I quit playing before Christmas and when Warzone dropped. Why wouldn't they just have internal server side updates instead is beyond me and leave players with just the core files. Treyarch games don't need 50gb of updates a month but IW are bloody amateur developers at times. I uninstalled the game when I had to complete 57gb update and that's not including the reinstallation of shaders. I still think the last good Call of Duty was probably Black Ops 2. MW is definitely better than BO4, WW2, IW and every other iteration we've had on this gen but it's still nowhere near the quality we should be getting from such an experienced franchise.
  11. GTA V is FREE on the Epicunting game store Also Alan Wake is £1.13 or £1.54 for the collectors edition!
  12. Just wow! This looks to be an astonishing remaster of the classic 2002 masterpiece. It is due for release in August and if the gameplay is anything like Mafia 2 it will be a remarkable experience. Mafia 2 and 3 will also be releasing at some stage although with these games being from 2010 and 2016, they aren't expected to have a significant overhaul. Mafia 2 could still pass as a game from just a few years ago. The big one in the package is definitely the first title and the story is just incredible as are the characters and writing.
  13. I've followed this game for a while but it seems painfully average and I think the player counts will start drying up long before they can get much of their planned paid DLC out. The only game to make this format truly successful is Dead By Daylight and that's still got massive player numbers especially on PC. This reminds me of an even ropier version of Evolve.
  14. The original Battle Royale game The Culling is making it's second comeback after already dying twice and this time it's returning with a quite frankly dreadful monetisation scheme where you have to PAY TO PLAY! The game was initially £15 and very successful but after the devs made some dreadful decisions and with competition growing, the game died and they went on to make The Culling 2 which is the biggest flop in videogame history dying 3 hours after release. They then relaunched the original game as a free to play title and after some initial buzz, that too went on to die on all platforms. Now they are back again charging $6 for the base game in which you can play ONE free game a day and then require you to buy tokens to compete in further matches e.g 3 matches for $1 or if you win, you get a free token. The video has 200 likes and over 4,000 dislikes and has already been widely ridiculed by the media They should just let the series die. If it failed as a F2P title with less than 10 players competing globally, they aren't going to return with such an absurd pay to play model.
  15. Pity it wasn't the trilogy as Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is the big one and sits on Metacritic at 97 still. The first two titles were absolutely iconic though and as long as they are better than the current breed of shameful Tony Hawk cash grabs then this could be amazing!
  16. Plus the MP element is really half-baked just like their previous additional features in the likes of Resident Evil 7 and 2. Both portions of the game here seem really lackluster and there is no reason to play the MP in this over Dead by Daylight for instance.
  17. Project Cars 2 is 85% off on Fanatical at £6.74 from £44.99 https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/project-cars-2-game?aff_track=CJ&CJEVENT=a92e2ebe92ca11ea81b801d90a18050d&utm_source=CJ&cj_pid=6305441&cj_aid=13212017
  18. It further begs the question how Dave managed to stumble upon this 'knob eating' article😎
  19. I got PES 2020 day one and recently got given FIFA for free and both are nothing more than scripted scams now. PES is more of a representation of football but the scripting is beyond anything I have seen in FIFA which is such a shame. It wasn't present in the demo so Konami have really pulled a bait and switch. FIFA is painfully arcadey now and although you can play some pretty football, it feels so easy and not very authentic. PES is a beautiful game and the animations are incredible especially compared to FIFA's drab and wonky ones but both games are an embarrassment that I'm considering going back to PES 6 modded.
  20. Son Heung-min: Tottenham forward wins award as South Korea military service ends - BBC Sport WWW.BBC.CO.UK Tottenham forward Son Heung-min completes his mandatory military service in South Korea - and wins an award for the best performance.
  21. Not yet but after the backlash they've received, they may have no choice but to release proper gameplay like they've promised very soon. I'm sick of publishers like this trying to pull the wool over people's eyes or mislead.
