  1. I’ve never had a problem with it though I’ve really only used it in the last few years. I was rendering on a 3770 so not massively more powerful but maybe working with already compressed files helps. I really don’t know that much about video files. @Diddums how did I know you were going go link to that one! Forget that though, go full spec with dual socket threadrippers or xeons, a couple quaddro cards Can the FGFG fund stretch to £50k+?
  2. Nice introduction! I’m far more into my cars than bikes but anything with an engine and wheels is an interest so good to have more petrolheads on here. You seem to have a hood selection of games which overlaps with most if what we play. I’ll try to remember to add you later on PS
  3. Welcome to FG, it is good to see another OCUK’er join the fold. Don’t worry about being shy, the amount shit some people on here chat you’ll barely get a word in even if you want to Though most of the chat is related to taking the piss out of each other, moaning about something or other or telling to @Amnotright to stop telling his terrible jokes. Tactics and strategy are something other people do On the subject of photography, what camera do you have? Any particular things you like to photograph? It would be cool to see some of your photo’s.
  4. Welcome to FG. It is always good to see fresh meat......I mean see a new face around here. It is good to have more PC people too.
  5. What were you rendering / rendering on? I know Fraps doesn’t compress the video and Vegas will have more options than what I use. However that still seems excessively long. Using my Elgato to capture PS4 which admittedly does compress the videos as it records. However I can render out a 10 minute video in about 15-20 minutes. That was on my old PC, I haven’t tried my new one yet. Also a tip, download Handbrake to compress video files. It’s another 10 or so minutes of waiting around but you can reduce file sizes from 8Gb+ to under 2Gb without much loss in quality. Then upload times to Youtube are massively quicker.
  6. With England playing better than I expected, I am hoping for a England v Belgium final just so I win either way
  7. That is what makes it all worth it Everyone has a tough time once in a while and what sort of friends family would we be if we didn't look out for each other.
  8. It does make you question some of the decisions Bungie have made with this game. Generally it seems people like the Escalation Protocols so GG Bungie but why make it 9 player if you can't group up as a fireteam of 9 Oh well, good that people have found a way round that problem though I'll try and level up as quick as I can then I'll be down giving it a go.
  9. Obviously I haven't tried the strikes yet as I'm still at D2 Vanilla levels but it is good to know they are a challenge. At times in the past the heroic strikes have been too easy in my opinion as with a decent team you could spend an entire evening doing strikes and not wipe. It does seem stupid about the drops from the Strikes, I sort of see why they did it as if it dropped up to 350 you could grind strikes to level up quickly but equally to drop lower level stuff is pointless.
  10. It was another fun night of ..... can I say racing? and it was great to see so many people on, the races are a lot more fun once you have a 8-10+ people on together. The highlight for me was a race on Double Helix in which I managed to knock about 6 or 7 people off the edge Annoyingly my Elgato crashed during this race so I don't have a proper recording of it but I saved the clip on the PS4 so I need to see how much of the race I actually have. I also seemed to spend a lot of the night hitting @MrBiron I guess you just spend too much time near the front
  11. Sunday's are the only evening that I can't do and very rarely will ever be able to do to ticked all the other days. I can't remember what level I am or what you need to be for the raid(s) so I'll need to log in and see where things are.
  12. Name: Breaking in the newbie Category: GTA V Date Added: 2018-05-10 Submitter: Greboth Highlights from last Friday's GTA Race night which was @Shucker first GTA Friday but plenty of action all over. Breaking in the newbie

    New World!

I dunno, have the first rule be not to break any blocks and look what happens The next two are, let’s say more logical so you may fair better at them. I’m in the same boat, I originally was only using the converter and powering it by what I mined but I connected a condeskr and forgot about it until I almost had a chest full oopsie.

    New World!

Well that took waaaaayyyy longer than I expected but it's done....well sort of done. I still need to build a roof and some decoration-ey stuff but it's done enough that you lot can go see what I've built. Just follow the road the runs East out of the North end of spawn and you should find the new building and what awaits inside
  15. Well I’m glad I downloaded both of those games then Crossout sounded good though so I’m tempted to still try it anyway.
  16. I'm going to have get creative with my storage (or finally get a hdd upgrade) as I'm still running the OG 500Gb drive but I'll get them downloaded and ready
  17. Who knows maybe you will get lucky and actually spawn near everyone else for once
  18. Bungie's marketing has always been on point and I don't think this is any different, that looks fun to play. Esepcially at it seems you could just wander in to while in the open world. I really should get back on Destiny to figure out what has changed and any new mechanics before this dlc drops.
  19. GMod Prop hunt is pretty fun game but like most is best enjoyed when everyone is partied together. Just looking on Steam is currently £7 so nice and cheap I can't see anywhere on there about player limit but from memory it is high number (I want to say 64 but it may be more than that).
  20. The more footage the better The anount of footage I have I might make a longer video or 2 videos, we shall see. But another good night of racing, lots of crashing and smashig The highlight for me has to be the race we were in first person for; Dave in the lead me in second, hit the last checkpoint and see the finish line ahead, I tap Dave’s car and he spins and finishes I think seventh sorry not sorry @Diddums
  21. I am a Civil Servant, specifically within the Insolvency Service. It is hard to describe my job as it is basically to support all the other teams within the Department that I work. Mostly it revolves around providing figures and statistical analysis to whomever wants or needs it, some low level upkeep of our payments system, helping people external to us upload files to us (it is very specific data with tight validation rules so it's often wrong). However it extends wider than that to a sort of Jack of all trades and in my time I've paid people money, answered general queries, drafted letters in response to complaints, written to MP's, advised on legislative matters, created and presented training to other staff on things from Excel to writing SQL, TUPE to Employee Status. The pay is terrible, like truely utterly terrible, but everyday is different and most days a challenge as I'm always being asked to do something or for something that I've not done before.
  22. I'm starting to think that maybe survival games maybe just aren't your thing Lee On a positive / negative note, I filled quite a few jars with water from the river south of the city only to find we don't have a cooking pot yet so can't make clean water :( Still I found some more jars and make yuka juice. It was a good night though (even if I didn't finish the GTA video oopsie! ) and it was good to meet you Shucker. I think I need to see if I can find my old copy of Battlefield to get a little practice in using a mouse for FPS again before trying more PC games.
  23. Three billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri. I missed it at the cinema when it was out but managed to catch it last night. It was quite what I expected as the trailer almost makes it out to be a black or dark comedy. It isn't, it is quite a serious movie with most, if not all, the funny bits being in the trailer however that doesn't detract from what is a very good film. It really does make you question what would you do and how far would you go if something like that happened to your child as well as managing to fit redemption stories in for other characters too.
  24. A little late but nice Rich It is a shame more OW games don't go like that but I suppose we wouldn't want to make it too easy for ourselves
  25. @GazzaGarratt It is on Amazon Prime TV Though other sources are available
