  1. Fuck. If there's one person I trust to make me part with my wedge, it's Joe. And he reckons this game is ace. I didn't play the first one but this one is serisouly starting to make me itch. Problem is time. I work 7 days a week, I study, and then my limited gaming time has to satisfy my needs for Destiny, Overwatch, BF1 and R6. I dunno.
  2. I see your speeder and raise you one Millennium Falcon
  3. That's brilliant Steve, and from one of my all time favourite films too! A friend on mine's lady made this one which I thought was quite impressive too. I wish we were in a more "halloweeny" area, we haven't had a kid knock on the door ever in this place!
  4. Maps for me depend largely on the game mode. Ballroom Blitz on domination is hands down my favourite map, but on conquest it sits easily at third or even fourth. Argonne Forest is probably my least favourite, I just get fucked from all angles on that one, but as always it's probably down to knowing it. I'll need to have a proper think about this, but I do love that you can be successful on any map, provided you're in a decent squad. I fucking love this game.
  5. Hmmmmmmmmm. this fence is hurting my arse hole. I'll give it the benefit f the doubt and plop the disc in again for lols but I can't see it lasting tbh.

PC: Fix for a graphical issue causing artifacts in shadows. Source: https://forums.battlefield.com/en-us/discussion/44346/battlefield-1-update-10242016#latest //Seems these are more bug fixes than tweaks. I suppose these things do have to get fixed but I'm still hoping for a revamp of the party / UI / menu system, with the ability to tweak classes whilst not in a game. Having to create loadouts in a match is bullshit.
  7. The ambience of this game really is something else. Dropping a health crate only to hear nearby team mates yelling thanks is fantastic. The shouting from other soldiers is excellent, you always feel like you're about to jump from the pan to the fire. The menus, interface and party system are quite simply the worst I've seen in forever. The hit detection is completely borked at times but it's not game breaking. As for medics, I play mainly a medic and get sick and tired of people ressing as I'm standing there stabbing them with my syringe. My system is this: squad members or friends = instant res. Randoms I'll wait a few seconds before running through a barrage of bullets to get to them to make sure they're actially waiting for a res rather than just holding down X to respawn. As a title tip, a downed teammate's name plate will flash if he's ressing so don't waste your time. Also, medics are a bit buggy in that sometimes we pull out a gas mask instead of a syringe. This is a bug apparently, so keep that in mind.
  8. First impressions... As much ad it pains me to say it, Euan was right in saying that conquest sucks. There's too much shit going on that can kill you and keeping an eye on everything is impossible. Domination is great fun, especially in a party. I like that there are no vehicles because just as with every other battlefield game, there are always dicks flying around in planes contributing the square root of fuck all to the team. I also like the fact that dom is 10v10 so with a few of us on you have much less chance of some stupid sniper joining who sits at the back of the map and doesn't help cap / defend flags. The maps are great, I love the setting, the atmosphere is spot on. Gunplay is good but the hit detection can be absolutely awful at times. One major irritating thing for me is going to a downed team mate, pressing right on the D pad and my dude puts his gas mask on. This in the heat of battle is a pain in the arse which costs precious time. Whether it's my joystick or a bug I don't know. The classes are great but I really miss engineer. That was an epic class and would be fantastic in this what with all the rickety tanks and stuff. Horses can take more hits than a tank which is odd, they must've fed them spinach back then. So far ts great fun, really enjoying it and being able to jump in to a game mode with no vehicles and less chance of dumb fucks is fantastic. One gripe: people who res as soon as they die. I'll be 3m away from a corpse so I run over to it and the guy fucking revives. On the flip side, people who pick medic and then stand on top of your corpse but don't revive. Idiots. I revived Euan a lot last night.
  9. The cool thing with projectors is that they're compact, can go anywhere, have good picture quality and can project onto anything white. You know what to do Steve
  10. Facepalm.jpg. I did it this morning, hence the "thanks for the heads up". Dumbass
  11. Take your PS4 with you and share the fun
  12. I have no idea whatcha talking bout Thomas (Thanks for the heads up though)
  13. Hahaha, this is fantastic
  14. Fuck me Justin you know how to make a clickbait title!
  15. The 750Ti was a game changing card. It wasn't the fastest or flashiest, but it plugged in to any system without the need for a power supply, was fairly cheap and would run any game at medium-high settings at 1080p. It also overclocked like a beast. I just sold one on Sunday, they're still in demand. It really did bring gaming to the masses, let's hope that the 1050 series do similar.
  16. The first thing a "practice tool" needs to do is say "git gud scrub, y u so shit lol u suk cock lmao" and kick you from the game.
  17. I've done a quick sneaky cleanup (not really, but I did search and found we're actually nicer people than I thought we are :P)
  18. Well, seeing as CoD has gone from a fairly decent, realistic shooter over the years to a freak show with people dressed as clowns and lizards, I can't say I'm surprised. http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/angry-sullen-tacticool-lewis-hamilton-will-be-in-call-1787943540 Let's hope he's a getaway drive ror sumfink
  19. Titans hands down. Why is this even a question? Striker is the best because striking bosses is fun.
  20. Well fuck me sideways with a garden hoe. I'll never hold grudges and what's in the past is in the past. Good to see you back dude, glad the family is doing well and you're happy with life at the moment. I saw this thread earlier this morning and thought it was someone trolling so left it to evolve a bit. You've said many things already which are definitely you so either it is you or you've got some seriously hardcore stalkers. I'm going to go with the former. As you can see, loads of familiar faces here still, a fair few new ones and some have left. Some have had kids, and sadly we had our first loss in the community in the form of Zake_Dizzle due to a tragic accident. We're now primarily a PS4 community but still have a few pc scrubs trying to come out the closet. Lee (gazzagarratt) is our new admin, honestly that guy is one of the best things to happen to this forum, he's been working hard at improving it and updating stuff, can't thank the guy enough. As for me personally, I'm now a maintenance supervisor for a £650m building in central London, I manage a team of 6 engineers and work 7 days a week pretty much flat out but the job's good and they treat me well so I can't complain. I'm also doing a degree in engineering so life is pretty busy at the moment but I still enjoy my down time and still drink like a tank so life's generally really good, work hard, play hard as they say. Good to see you back, now go swap that xbox for a ps4
  21. The thing with Roadhog is that he's not supposed to die. He's supposed to hang back, yank one out of cover and splatter his brains all over the wall. Retreat, heal up, go again. I've had 20+ streaks doing this, it's fantastic. With a healer, he can be unstoppable. I think his mobility is fine tbh. If I could change one thing, I'd want his heal to have a bit of an AOE effect, doesn't have to be much, even 50hp for people within two meters or something. He's very much a lone wolf character which is a shame, sometimes I wish I could help the team out more. Once a month-ish.
  22. So we let any old riff raff in nowadays do we? This place is going to the dogs I tells ya.
  23. Tried the 350 strike last night, thoroughly enjoyed it. Didn't make it because the last boss is ridiculously hard. Good effort from Maz, Rod, and Dave though, we'll get im next time!
  24. Well, here I am, and you all probably know exactly what I'm going to say but meh, here we go. What a crock of shit. Everything in the entire expansion is recycled shit. Everything. Bad guys, maps, zones, explorable areas, it's all the fucking same shit we'ev been doing for the last two years. The "new" Devil's Lair is exactly the same as the old one. They've literally copied and pasted the entire thing, except that now the bad guys have a bit of red, the walker is now a few ogres and Sepiks is now "perfected". Lee and I were actually laughing at how lazy they were, down to the invisible snipers, having to hold your dinklebot next to the crashed spaceship thingy in the middle, it's exactly the fucking same. The zones you "explore" are exactly the ones we've been exploring for ages except that they've tacked a new single room on the end for that fresh feel. I havent' done the new strike yet, maybe tonight, dunno. The new PVP mode is fucking awesome, kill confirmed is excellent although I don't think the killfeed needs to tell us every time someone picks up a tag. Great fun, and always fun to see that Mida is still as OP as always and warlocks are still cunts. This, as with every other xpac in Destiny, is worth a tenner. Not £25. I'm still gobsmacked that we as gamers let these greedy fucks get away with it. If it weren't for the fact that all my friends (yes you lot, you cunts) play this, I would've told Bungie to get fucked. The raid had best be good.
