So ya. This game is good. After the raging success of Arc Raiders and my inexplicable sudden loss of interest in it, I've been looking for something new to play, with trusty old WoW plugging away in the background, and this is it. It even made me order a new GPU as my current one ramps the fans to 100℅ randomly and then just sits there trying to air-dust the whole postcode. The graphics are good, the combat is very rewarding once you suss it out, the exploration is like nothing else, the crafting and gathering is well balanced unlike some games which will have you chopping down entire forests just to build one fucking door (*cough* Valheim). I've only just finished up the first island and got the first ship, I'm now just exploring the various POIs on the map to get some XP. Really enjoying it, and just when I thought I'd got the boars sussed, the game throws those charging fuckers at me. Cunts.

Game completed, again. Expeditions included, I seem to recall there being a ton more quests the first time around, maybe it just seemed like more because I was such a noob. Also had the best game I've had so far with @GazzaGarratt and @Luseth last night, we went in just wanting to kill flying stuff for the points but ended up going on an absolute massacre instead, as well as maxing out the trial. Genuinely enjoyed that, really showed how much fun you can have if people just communicate.

Benches done, rooster done, christmas event thingy done, and on the last page of the expedition again. Probs around $2m in coins, and a fucktonne of blueprints spare so if anyone needs any, hit me up. As part of the expedition I've spent a ton of time on Stella, and thanks to a rat ended up in the murder lobbies again so I embraced it and played very carefully, murdering anyone who so much as looked at me. I think this game has knocked ten years off my life.

Did a few rounds with Cripspeee and Cal last night. Fucking disaster. Lost so much of my stash it's unreal. Cal's constantly trying to kill anything that moves whilst Crispy's trying to do quests and I'm just along trying not to get killed. Of course logging in today following last night meant that I went straight in to the murder lobbies and lost even more of my stuff, reminding me why I don't play with squads. Such a pity, as it could be quite fun.

Given that Bungie is just a dead wreck now, a new company should step in and take over. Doesn't even have to be Destiny, just something that can take the lessons learned, combine them with lessons from other games / franchises and produce something excellent. The fact that Arc Raiders is currently the highest played game, the highest rated game, the best optimized game and all for no more than £32 on all available platforms has really highlighted how much bloat and greed there is in the industry. Bring that attitude to a Destiny type looter shooter and who knows, we might genuinely have some New Content Everybody.

Benches all maxed out, just need one more mushroom for the rooster. My mentality has changed big time over the last week, I just burn through resources like there's no tomorrow and it's made the game so much more fun. Instead of cowering in a building and shooting down a rocketeer because I don't wanna waste resources, I just hammer it with a couple of wolfpacks and job jobbed. I've been a triggernade factory for a while now too, as they're hilariously good at shredding shredders, and I need their gyros for the project thingy. Still loving this game.

Quests all done, rooster maxed out, and only one workbench left to upgrade. @LordBaguette bench-shamed me on Friday so I made a point of doing it this weekend, all done now. Now I'm working on the caravan for the expedition, still on the first page but getting there. I also just blanket sold everything I own to try and make the $5m for the expedition. So now I'm just rolling free loadouts and channeling my inner @GazzaGarratt by hoarding everything I can to make some extra coin. I'm not even on $1m yet lol.

You can always tell when the kids start coming on, the game goes from relatively chill, to instant kill on sight. I take great pleasure in absolutely destroying the little cunts. All quests completed, rooster fully upgraded, a few workbenches done, think I've got two to go. Also found a few good blueprints, like the Wolfpack. 88 hours played. Still enjoying it.

Xbox one should work I think? As a PSA to anyone who reads this, when you get to a quest called Armored Transports, make sure you load in with an augment with a safe pocket. Once you get the key card, PUT IT IN YOUR SAFE POCKET IMMEDIATELY. This key card is extremely rare, and you only get one shot at it on the quest, so if you die and lose the card, you are unable to complete the quest and will have to spend the rest of eternity hoping you get lucky, or that you come across some kind soul who happens to have a spare one, like I did. Or you can camp the quest site and just zerg everyone who comes close in the hope of getting one, but that will often backfire.

Absolutely epic run on Spaceport. Shitloads of purples and blues. Get to extract, small firefight with two lads and ended up downed. They then peaced up with each other and stabilized me so I could extract, then my fucking internet goes down and I lost it all. Fml.

Honestly this one's worth it imo. I've recommended shitloads of games in the past which I've stopped playing after a few days but I reckon this one's a keeper. The fact that the devs have a clear (and realistic) 10 year plan really helps too. Let me know if you buy it, I'll hop on this evening.
