  1. Yep. But most of the time I'm laughing or grinning too much to care. Bastion definitely needs a nerf. Personally I'd take his repair arm away when in turret mode but that's just me. I just yank him out of turret mode and split his face in half anyway so he's not that much of a bother really. Mei - same thing. If she freezes me then good on her, 90% of the time I see her and yank her before she's even clocked me; or zap her before she can ice me.
  2. Yep, it really is one of the best games in recent years.
  3. Oh sweet, hope it hurts.
  4. I suspect it's to do with their very aggressive banning. I'd be pissed if I rented a game and found out it was a banned disc. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/06/02/overwatch-bans-thousands-of-cheaters
  5. It's £40 on Amazon if that helps.
  6. There are no unlocks. There are no achievements, challenges, story missions, nothing. The ONLY thing you get is XP which is towards levels. There is no level cap and every time you level up you get a treasure box thingy which has cosmetic stuff in it like skins, voices, that kind of shit. Doesn't affect game play at all. You can't create classes, you literally join a match, pick one of the 21 characters and kill shit. Apart from cosmetic stuff, you can't modify the characters in any way so the playing field is always even. DLC will be free, always. This will contain maps, characters and maybe game modes. There are however microtransactions to buy those treasure box thingies but that's all fluff and doesn't affect game play at all. For abilities, you have primary fire, secondary fire, one to three extra abilities which are on cool downs and a super. These are completely different for each character so you're always coming up against different compositions. There are healers, tanks, support and DPS. There are three game modes: escort payload, king of the hill, and attack / defend. They're all epic fun.
  7. Omg that's hilarious.
  8. Reaper is a bitch to use, but absolutely lethal in the right hands. He's an absolute bitch when you're Roadhog. Roadhog is by far my favourite character, his chain is so so good at interrupting stuff and yanking Bastions out of their pussy ass turret mode. I tear Mei to pieces all the time as well, as soon as she starts her ice gun I just yank her to me and peel he face off. Also, chaining and tearing apart a Tracer is the most satisfying thing in the game
  9. I've only had about four hours play but so far Soldier: 76 and Roadhog are fantastic fun. I played briefly with Mercy but couldn't suss her out properly, might have another go tonight. Here's also a cheat sheet done by someone on Reddit which is pretty good. http://imgur.com/a/28GPV

    Sounds

I read in a review somewhere that there are loads of little sounds in the game which can make a huge difference to your situational awareness if you hear them and can identify them. I started paying a bit more attention to them in the two games I played last night and I noticed that every now and then you can hear voices in your head when you play as Roadhog. I don't know what they say, but I definitely noticed them. Anyone else notice any other sounds in the game?
  11. Let me start bt saying that you will struggle to have more fun in a game. Honestly, the variety of heroes and and environments make for some of the most intense and entertaining fighting I've had in years. That said: Characters: These are the guys that make this game. They're all psycho in some form or another and they're absolutely mental. They all have different abilities which make them unique, there are four classes: damage dealers, tanks, healers and support, each with about 6 heroes to play. Coming up against a well balanced team is a nightmare, you don't stand a chance with a bunch of randoms. The variety of weaponry and abilities in this game is cray cray. I'm not talking about different guns, but different types of weapons altogether. You think of a way to kill someone, odds are it's in the game. Environment / maps: Blizzard is so good at this. These maps are fantastic, nicely sized, vibrant colours, loads of paths and corridors, you can go upstairs, downstairs, across rooftops, the lot. They provide some seriously hectic matches because you never know where you're gonna get shot / axed / hammered / chained / electrocuted / frozen / burned / yanked / stabbed / ninja starred / sniped from (I think you get the idea). The maps are also dedicated to game modes, so you won't be playing different game modes on the same map. Game modes: There are a fair few, from an escort type to a king of the hill type, they're all there. It seems that Blizzard has just blatantly nicked ideas from every other game out there and perfected them to create this game. Combat: Fantastic. The action gets seriously intense and it's never dull. There are already quite a few cheap tactics in the game like turrets staring at spawn rooms and whatnot but there are loads of counters and and changing to a different class takes 5 seconds. Of course the game is full of retarded snipers who don't go near flags already but that's par for the course. Snipycunts gonna Snipycunt. The combat is smooth, slick and polished although there are the odd lag spikes which can get a bit annoying but its no worse than Cod or Destiny. The one thing that is the game's biggest strength and it's weakness is the supers. They can really help you out but they can also ruin your day. Last night I was on a 22 streak when some dick zapped me with his super, I had zero chance of surviving. Oh the rage. Also, ammo is unlimited and abilities are on timers so theres no worrying about not having stuff. Other notes: I left a game early today and was penalised -75% xp for the next few games. I like this, more games need this so quitters suffer. The lack of anything to work towards is rather concerning. There are no achievements, no unlocks, no attachments, bo perks, no progress at all. It's very Unreal Tournament like that. I'd like something to work towards. Customization is aplenty however, with costumes, hats, emotes, voices, and more. These are all awarded with loot crates which are earned with XP. Blizzard has also stated that they will never charge for any DLC for this game which is good but it does raise the question of what DLC we're going to get as the budget will be limited. So far it's a great pick up and play game. It's not the kind of game you sink three hour long sessions in to, and for that reason I think it's overpriced. This to me is a £20 game, not a £45 game. That said, we don't know what Blizzard has in store, they usually have epic DLC for their other games but these come at a cost. Time will tell. I do think this is a great game for us all to hop in together and fuck shit up and I do hope many of you get it for that very reason but for a solo player this game is simply too expensive.
  12. No. Blizzard 's betas are basically "k so we made a game, it's finished, go stress test our servers". Get it Christy. Be great to have the bants back again!
  13. Yep, they killed WoW. No two ways about it. Still; I prefer to remember it as a game which require shit loads of thought, planning, time, resource management and crafting rather than the shitty MMO it's become. I remember the days of Def cap. 540 was the number.
  14. Then it'd be directed by JJ Abrams
  15. I've watched a few vids and this has very strong undertones of Halo, Unreal Tournament, TF2 all set in Blizzard's lovely environment. I'm a self confessed Blizzard fanboy so I'll be buying this either way but I think it looks fantastic. As it's payday today and all my life consists of is work, I'm going to treat myself. Screw it. I'm off tomorrow too!
  16. It's a dull boring game with or without FBS. Not really relevant.
  17. That's a debate which is as old as toast itself, with people getting properly annoyed at each other. This only gets worse when you throw Bovril in the mix. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/vegemite-vs-marmite-taste_n_2807624.html This is srs bsns.
  18. Blops1 was riddled with bugs and shit, but it was fun. I really enjoyed it and I would LOVE to see it return at some point. After they're done fisting us with MW obviously.

    Rise of Iron

I dunno. It'll have to be pretty fucking spectacular for me to fork out again. As much as I love playing Destiny, it's run its course for me I think, which is why the only time I really play is when Banana is on.
  20. Yep. It's still Destiny, it's still awesome, and great fun. There's a new game on the scene called Warframe which some of the guys love, but it's really a Marmite game, you either love it or loathe it. I put in a few hours and got bored.
  21. This is an opinion we matched bettors love, because it keeps loads of people out of this game which means more money for us!
  22. My opinion of you has always lived in the gutter, with my mind, making sweet sweet mindopiniongutter love
  23. I've touched on this a few times in party chats but I think it's time I do it properly so that those of you who want to make a few extra bucks can. First of all, is this some kind of scam, pyramid scheme, snake oil bullshit? No. It's a 100% legit, legal way of making a few extra monies on the side. What about the bookies then? Bookies hate us. With a passion. If they sniff us out, they'll "gub" us which means they restrict us to small bets and remove all promotions from our account. To prevent this from happening, we place "mug bets", but this is a whole different discussion. So what is it then? It's abusing booky offers to extract money out of them, or other bettors. Here's a simple breakdown: Bookie A is offering promotion where you get a free bet matching your first free bet up to £25. The aim is to get that free bet and extract the value from it. To do this, we need to "cancel out" the first bet, and this is done by laying the bet. For this you go to an exchange like Betfair, where you effectively take on the role of the bookie. You then place a bet at Bookie A for an event, let's say Man U to win tonight's game. Then on the exchange you bet against Man U winning (note, you don't bet on a draw or on Bmouth to win, you bet that Man U won't win, there's a difference). If you manage to find odds that are close (by looking at various events and stuff) then you lose the small difference between the odds and the commission at the exchange. This will be no more than £1 if done correctly. Once the game is played, you will have the £25 + winnings in either the exchange or the bookie, but now you have a free £25 bet. Using online resources and calculators (all of which are free) you then find a decent match between sports, and input the numbers you are presented with at the bookie and the exchange, and it'll spit out the number you need to put on the exchange. Wait until the match is played, and voila. You will get about £17 from that bet if done correctly (you can pull as much as £23-£24 out of the free bet but this requires MASSIVE bankrolls at the exchange). For those of you still in doubt, I signed up to Yesbets today (£15 a month) and this is my current situation: This is with a £160 bankroll. I'll update this now and then to show my progress but in the mean time if anyone has any questions, fire away, and if you want to do this, drop me a PM because I love referral bonusses and will go 50/50 for all referrals I get. Also, if you do decide to give this a go, make sure you use topcashback as much as possible as you can get some decent little earners out of there too. What I will say is don't go rushing in because you'll make mistakes and it'll cost you money. If you like the look of this, sign up to Yesbets and do the first few offers for free. Also, if you do decide to do this, LET ME KNOW so I can give you a referral. If the bookie gives out a referral bonus, I will give you 50% of it.
  24. Fuck you it was awesome and that's the end of it.
