    Alien Isolation 2

Confirmed to be in development 10 years on from the original Alien: Isolation 2 Confirmed - IGN WWW.IGN.COM On the 10-year anniversary of Alien: Isolation’s release, developer Creative Assembly has confirmed that a sequel is in development. A good watch after IGN's infamously terrible 5.9/10 review

  5. So, just wondering if there would be any interest in seeing if we can come up collectively with an FG top 10 must play games list? Currently thinking the format along the lines of everyone puts a list down of say 5 games each, we then all have to put them into priority and then each position get's a set number of points i.e. if I put the Witcher 3 top, then Fifa (heaven forbid) second then Witcher 3 would say get 10 points and then Fifa 9 and so on and so on. Would that interest people or am I shouting into the wind? 😄 I would then look at doing a short write up for each game in the top 10 so if anyone has comments to say about any of their nominations, memories and such put them in the post and I could look to use them in the write ups.

    Missing Threads

Theres always been WhatsApp groups, Brede. I can't stop them. If you look back a few years ago, I tried to embrace everything for the sake of all. Discord, WhatsApp, FB and anything else you can think of. We're likely nearing that cycle again of basically me tearing it all up and bringing it all back...but part of me after the last two times would just love it if people wouldn't be so lazy in life. I feel the pressure myself and I can't lie. If I'm not doing events, sending messages, thinking of ideas to get people to play games, no fucker does. Well, some do, but when they realise they get not much joy after a few times, they give up. I don't blame them - I suppose I'm the only one who's decided to do that for 10 years here. I'm now nearly 40, so life does change and evolve. But I wanted FG to be FG for all, not FG that is a check in cos Lee asked them to. There is always ways to rejuvenate the place. But people have to WANT to do that. And before anyone asks, god I've tried multiple ways to get people involved, drafting ideas of different roles, changing forums around to accommodate stuff, etc. Nothing has stuck so far, otherwise it wouldn't just be me. We all have the gift of sorting this out. And I'll still be me trying to find ways of doing that, but I also know that the ones that don't want to, won't want to until they fully have an epiphany and maybe if I say FG closes for good? Who knows. I just don't think a bold statement like that should ever be needed when I know there's 100 odd regular FGers that could be active and they don't. How many times do I have to say that if we were all active and took a tiny interest each day, then it would actually be the best place on the internet cos so many would be chipping in n loads of different stuff. I suppose this thread was eventually going to tip me. I'm super conscious I haven't updated my PPR in months and I'm usually the one that says practice what you preach. I think I'm gonna give myself grace just this once for the past 10 years. If you have some bright ideas, please shout up. Its always worth reading the whole of site info and announcements though first. You'll see about 4000 posts from me (no lie) about getting people together in lots of ways. Pick one and run with it. I love this god damn place. I just paid £150 for the software for the next year again and it wasn't even a thought of not doing that. ❤️🖤 Aww man, Brede. You made me go there 🥲. Now see what happens this weekend ffs 🤣 *rolls up sleeves ready for a war*

  7. Hello again! My beautiful FG family, I've gone through a bit of a tumultuous time and took a step back/break from gaming and subsequently FG . I am finally back in a good mental space so I've returned. For those who don't know me (or don't remember... 😅) I am Stephen from Ireland, I have 2 kids one of them with Autism and I play on PS5 . When I get the chance I play helldivers , COD , Fifa and Battlefield. I am looking to get into Hell let loose and Vigor if anyone is up for it .

  8. Apologies for the video quality but it was quite a while ago. St Etienne had a certain Mr Platini playing for them. This was my first "European Tour" and it was almost a bucket list destination. That was after hearing the "Green Roar" against Liverpool FC on a tinny tranny in the '70's. The green roar was quite muted as the game went on and the home support melted away as the fourth goal went in IIRC the away support for that match was about 400. The coach trip was 18 hours each way with two drivers hot shopping. Despite all the fan problems of the time, there wasn't a single arrest at any of our EUFA Cup away games.

    EA FC 25 2025 Stats

First post will keep the running total and then each week I will put up the weeks stats in a new post 🙂 Hopefully get a few of us back on here keeping an eye on it, see who comes top and maybe get us chatting on here a little more. It also gives us a little more to clubs again as we have a decent regular group! So here are the running totals (which is essentially game week 5) -

Surprised not to see a thread about this one. Went to see it tonight courtesy of a good friend, and it is hands down the best Deadpool film yet. Some of the surprises are absolutely fantastic. You'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't see this one on the big screen. 9/10 for me.

  22. CDs are coming back out for me. The ease of Spotify and streaming music is great for certain scenarios but if I'm chilling at home in the shed, then a CD in the background is a far better option as its a choice to do something you want to do specifically rather than get a curated playlist continually retune your needs. ooo I'd love to see tapes make a comeback! Probably not worth the hassle unfortunately but would be ace to play on the odd occasion. As we love games, I'll obviously say all my old consoles and handheld devices are a great alternative for an evening of gaming. Makes you appreciate the gaming industry, especially when lately it feels like new good games are a thing of the past. Actually, to finish I'd also say one more thing...I got Hayley a Tamogochi for Christmas! 🤣 They were ace back in the day, just to pass abit of time. These days we use continuous never ending free games on our phone but this feels like a cool way to get off those things to help you back into the real world and not lose too much time into the those awful mobile games.

  26. Just finished this game at 130 hours. @TurboR56Mini mentioned I should post.. even though I have been silent for a good while lol. Here's the thing, I loved BioWare.. Dragon Age Origins was a breath of fresh air to me. My enjoyment of the Dragon Age series is what got me to pick up Mass Effect. These two franchises are near and dear to my heart. So, the hate that Veilguard gets based on trailers? I get it. It's not what any of us expected or wanted... and it just further shows how much EA continues to destroy game studios. EA is why we got the failures of Anthem and Andromeda. Veilguard being in production for 10 years? That's EA written all over it. The game got rebooted numerous times. That said, what was released? Is it good? It is. Is it the same caliber of DAO or DAI? Absolutely not. Remember the nonsense of DA2? Veilguard is probably what DA2 would have been if DA2 wasn't rushed. The gameplay is enjoyable (minus the annoyance/QOL issue with respeccing your character outside a boss fight/needing to reload a save to do it). The story is decent. Can the final act make up for the rest of the Veilguard story? Maybe? Depends on how you look at it. I took this as a farewell to Dragon Age. It wraps up so many story threads. I applaud the writers for keeping such major parts of the lore under wraps for so long. I would say, just play it to finish Solas's character arc. The secret ending is an opening to more Dragon Age... if EA allows BioWare to do what they do best... and not meddle in what they do. If you don't get the secret ending, no harm. Treat this game as what it probably was intended to be --> a farewell to the world that BioWare started with DAO. The graphics are a bit cartoony.. but don't let it deter you. I had to remind myself that the reason why I never picked up DAO when it was released was because of the terrible graphics, but I ended up enjoying it. Get past the graphics... get into the story. The elves look odd. The Qunari look too nice. But everything else seems to mostly work. The writing isn't the quality we expect from BioWare in their golden age. The voice actors do the best they can. I think if they didn't need to keep scrapping the game and starting over because EA would dictate demands, this wouldn't be an issue. The ending was fleshed out long ago, hence the final act being the quality we expected and worth it. For those who somehow are pissed about it having a non-binary character and saying "go woke, go broke" about this game... if this bothers you, then you weren't paying attention to everything else going on in Thedas... or fantasy... or comic books. DA has always had diverse characters. And, DA has always had political and social commentary (so has Marvel and DC and Star Trek and Star Wars and numerous other things we all enjoy). Bottom line for this game: It's good. Is it GOTY good? Absolutely not. But, it's good. I agree with @Luseth that this is probably a 7.5 out of 10. I will probably replay it to get other interesting tidbits about the lore based on Rook's character and choices... and even the Inquisitor choices.

    Black Ops 6

Now I have had a bit more time with it. The game's not too bad but I think as with a few of the multiplayer games I am playing at the moment they have just been done to death. No matter what way you look at this it is just another COD, much in the same way as fifa is just another fifa each year and as I get older, my gameplay time is reducing at the moment and I want to spend it on better experiences rather than rehashes of yesteryear. I will play this on and off but I am going to limit my gameplay, rather than playing all evening it will be an hour or 2 and then done so I don't burn myself out with it. I have had some great games mind and do frequently come top 3 which is always good with these games, being competitive in what is an environment geared towards a younger, quicker audience! I do like the gameplay, the omni movement I am getting used to and kind of like it, guns are a bit meh. The maps are generally crap though for me, I think there are 2 or 3 I kind of like but on the whole they are crap. Mostly too small or too big which results in often being killed from spawn or running for minutes and finding no one only to get shot by someone sitting in a corner and having to do it again... The football stadium map could have been good but I think that's a prime example of how not to do a COD map for me. Babylon as mentioned above, I don't mind it but it is a clusterf*ck so you have to be in the mood for that.

  33. I mean my main hobby is video games hence being here 🤣 Other hobbies - I enjoy podcasting now, which gives me an outlet to talk all things video games! I watch a lot of football (haven’t played in a very long time), and like to keep up with the Basketball when I can! Maybe I should take up another hobby 🤣! Having kids means it’s hard to find the time for 1 hobby let alone more!

  34. Looking back we were in a state of transition, moving away from 16 bit graphics to experience our first forray into 3d. A lot of the 3d models were blockish and certainly would not hold up well today, heck it's not often you see someone make a 90s style game but people do keep going back to our 16 bit era. So, are there any games you remember fondly? For me it'ss the obvious final fantasy games, but in addition to that I always remember fighting force. Spending a lot of time on streets of rage when I was younger I suppose this was the sort of game that evolved from them, walking around 3d levels beating the crap out of people. So, are there any that you remember fondly?

  42. Being born in 1993 I didn’t have too much time with video games in the 90’s. That being said, I did have a game boy and a Dreamcast. So I would have to say Pokemon Red/Blue for me, with a shoutout to SoulCalibur too!

  43. Very tough choice because the 90's made some huge strides in very little time and the industry kept evolving and innovating massively - imagine going from Doom to Half Life in just 5 years! The gulf between a 2019 game compared to a 2024 one now is almost nothing. Metal Gear Solid is a very strong shout because it told an incredible story and had some unforgettable gameplay moments. There's also Half Life as mentioned, Resident Evil 2, FF7, Super Mario 64, GoldenEye, Age of Empires 2 and many more. I'd probably give it to MGS overall as it pushed the PS1 to the max and also exposed Nintendo's mistake in using cartridges as even some of the sound files were bigger than an entire N64 game! Games going from 2D to 3D was big in those days and Mario 64 was also a significant leap. I really miss huge innovations like that these days.

  44. Gutted for Coventry! What a remarkable comeback in a quite epic game and then getting screwed by VAR with the last kick of the game. If I were a United fan, I don't think I would even be able to celebrate after that near-humiliation. More questions for Ten Hag and another capitulation. Meanwhile Nottingham Forest have made a stunning statement after their defeat to Everton. Absolutely mad daw of football!
