  1. Ready Player One is in my top 5-10 films too @Luseth, it is really hard to pick just a top 3 given we can easily watch so many these days over and over 😄 @Middle Class Caveman, I'd actually put the last Harry Potter film up there. I think as the films went on, they got darker and bigger budgets. HP7 Part 2 is the main one we always go back and watch out of all of them.

  2. You have to use the boots or you can't do it as it goes into tac stance when you slide, the boots make it ads

  3. Ah no did you really? I was on 31 when I left and it had you on the same winstreak, I even sent a photo to Greboth as I was well chuffed I had caught you! I think I am still on my winstreak so I might actually do what Macca said I do and wait till we have the best team on so I can try and sneak a few more wins 😄 Smoke grenades are great, the only gripe I have, I was trying to find a thermal scope that I liked, there are a couple of variants with different colours and the red one's that I liked couldn't even see anyone through the fekkin smoke. There was a white one that was good but a little too zoomed in for my liking during general combat.

  4. Yep final skin, there is others I need to do if I can be bothered but there will be the new weapons in the seasons. I will do the emp gun when/if they fix it.

  6. Condensing it down to just 3 films is difficult and there are some great ones above. For me I have gone with - Top Gun Maverick, I think this just pips the original for me as it just hits all the right feels Ready player one - This is just a personal favourite of mine, I really loved the recent release of this. And I am doing it, Star Wars the empire strikes back! I love the Star Wars Universe and have played most of the games etc. I think for me it was the world building that really does it for me for the series. I am not sure how you can compare Star Wars with Gladiator if i'm being honest... Yes the characters could have been better in Star Wars and the story has probably been done before if you look back far enough but they are two entirely different films, set in entirely different locations, one being of fiction and one having history to utilise, one filmed 20 years after the other... Some of the creativity that went into those films, they probably pushed film making forwards faster than any other film (maybe with the exception of Avatar and it's use of CGI?), dykstraflex (one of the earliest forms of computer controlled camera's) was used on it, the films somewhat started off CGI as we know it with it's 3d Wireframe animation in fact even Return of the Jedi brought in THX which is one of the assurances for audio in cinema and we won't forget about the prelude to greenscreen (blue). Gladiator is an immense film in it's own right but it's just a different kettle of fish in my eye's. A film is not just about the characters, it is about the audio, the visuals, the experience, it's why I love cinema (admittedly I don't get to go so often these days) but as much tech as you put in your own home it is difficult to recreate a cinema experience. Empire Strikes back made almost 25 times it's original budget back (22 million budget and brought in 549 million, compared to Gladiator which had a budget of 103 million and brought in 5 times at 503 million) so even from a success point of view the original Star Wars film was far more successful. Admittedly recent films and tv series have been somewhat hit and miss. Some honorable mentions from me as well - Braveheart Avatar Master & commander The patriot

  8. Just picking three films I found is really hard. So many greats to pick from! Also, I didn't want to pick LotR, SW or HP because I felt like that was kind of cheating, even though they are all amazing.

  9. Never thought I'd see it in a top 3 but nice call out. My brothers and I dressed as the Blues Brothers for Halloween one year back in the 90s. The reverse backflip is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

  10. 1. Gladiator 2. Pulp Fiction 3. The Silence of the Lambs Honourable mention, Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers (Favourite Animated Film). I also REALLY enjoyed watching Whiplash, As Good as It Gets, and What's Eating Gilbert Grape, again recently, but didn't think they quite had what it takes to make my list.

  11. 1. Tekkonkinkreet 2. Goodfellas 3. Seven Samurai There’s probably a load I’m not thinking of, special mentions also go to Dead Mans Shoes, Shawshank Redemption and Evil Dead Army of Darkness.

  12. I voted for Sea of Stars too, I absolutely loved it! Whilst I wasn’t really satisfied with the ending, the full journey The game takes you in os simply brilliant!

  13. I know there was some really good releases this year, but Sea of Stars just hit me in the feels with that nostalgia of sitting in front of a TV when I was young, playing some SNES gems. Beauty 2D art/graphics. Wonderful score, and a great story with some excellent gameplay.

  14. I could be pedantic and say Tarkov and Seivert are both in Beta and not released on the dates you state. But by the same token they're unreleased games and can't feature anyway. Not to mention this is all moot as I'm the only one who plays them 🤣 But cheers for sorting this out, shame a few more didn't manage to enter nominations 👏👊

  15. Real Steel Big Hero 6 Avengers Endgame I love loads of different films, including dark, intricate plots, etc...but feel good, easy to watch films will always be what I love. Watch them so many more times than the Oscar winning films. Matrix is up there, and I actually think True Lies and the new Tetris is in the mix too.

    GTA 6 - Trailer 1

I also understand what Elliot says, for me the best is still vice city stories for both size and campaign. I think as you say the map has to be huge to facilitate online and as far as I'm concerned they could dump online in the bin. Only really use it for our races.

  19. Last few nights FG went on another flying winstreak. Mitch, @Lurchzy, @Macca89, @Luseth, @Greboth were on board and last night it ended at around 35 for me with the same peeps including @Misneach_ and @LordBaguette. A great game where we were 98-0 down on Terminal and flipped it around to win 250-221. Even a late game on Highrise would you believe was losing for half the game on Domination but managed to turn the tide to win by around a small 15 points in the end. Trying to fend off the opposition on Point B on that map is a nightmare. Can't believe I have to sing Tom's praises but Smoke grenades have super helped in tight games when you want to lockdown a flag or a hardpoint.

  21. Map update: Estate and Wasteland can get in the bin. Hate them. I tried copying @Luseth and his knife escapades. I didn't do as well but it was fun.
