  1. That’s because it’s the best game ever. Plus Diddums has bought about 9 copies over the years.

    Spider-Man 2

I got this pre-ordered, and can't fucking wait to dive into it!! The first one and MM were so damn good, and a joy to platinum. I imagine I'll be up all night after the podcast filming. Lol

  5. Only had a few games with FG the other night but I did feel very similar to Pat on this one. Saving grace for me was no one playing the objective so I still felt a little bit useful 🤣 It will still be a good game I reckon. Many here will enjoy it I think as movement was quicker (I think prefer it a little slower like MW2) but providing TTK isn't ridiculously quick then I can enjoy it. My opinion isn't worth much though because I don't know the old maps like pretty much all of you as I never played old MW2 as much as you guys and girls did all those years ago. Excited to play on the maps as they'll be new to me.

    WRC (2023)

There’s a bew WRC game coming out next month which I didn’t pay too much attention to as the previous one wasn’t great. But this is getting some pretty high praise from a few youtubers who have been given early access. Always wary of anyone having early access and praising a game but certainly something to keep an eye on. WRC (2023)

WRC doesn't change much year on year so I think sometimes waiting for a few versions to pass is a good thing. With the rebrand to just WRC and going to EA, may bring that little bit more in this one. I loved WRC a few games ago, its just i'm not sure its worth full whack with a game like this. They usually do drop very quickly to around £35 which I would totally buy this for that price.

  9. Good point Greebs, most had to buy multiple copies...but lets face it, its Lego unlimited on Digital so i'm not surprised in the least its done this well. I do miss the Vanilla Realm we have, although keeping ideas going is hard sometimes with an open canvas and no objectives driven from the game 😅

It's on my list, this and COD are likely to be my next 2 games, the first 2 of these were fantastic.

  12. I think you can carry over paid bundle guns and skins but MW3 will have it's own selection of base weapons. I'm not sure if MW2 progressed base weapons carry but certainly paid-for content is. If base weapons are available with progression attached along with the bundles on top then that could have a dire affect on the basic MW3 weapon pool is my concern and as per usual, the developers are very vague about this.

  13. As we've got a few more faces racing who are new to the game / series, I thought I'd do a small update to this. Firstly, a couple tips about the HUD 1. Gear indicator This is the gear the game thinks you should be using for the next corner and will flash red when the game thinks you need to brake for the corner. In my experience, it's too conservative and will always tell you to brake too early and mostly to use a gear 1 lower than actual. However, it acts as a good starting point if it's a track you don't know and as you get more familiar you can start pushing your braking point later 2. Throttle position GT7, much like GT Sport, the lower the Traction control (TCS) you can use the faster you'll be. Though it's always important to remember, lower TCS will save you 1-2 seconds a lap but set it too low and spin, that'll cost you more like 20-30 seconds. You can however do a little practise of using lower TCS as the throttle position goes white, as in the screenshot, to show you're at 100% throttle but if you engage TCS, a portion at the top will turn red to show how much the game is limiting your throttle. If out of every corner you turn it red, try to be a little more gentle and ease on to the throttle. If you never turn it red, try turning down your TCS. It's not quite that simple as at lower levels TCS cuts in later so you can be more aggressive with the throttle before it activates but it's a small part of the picture of if you're over-driving the car. 3. Driving assists Which nicely leads on to driving assists. I think Phil mostly disable these on the server due to a certain Mike incident. However, much like TCS, they turn red when the assist is active and again, like TCS, activation of an assist will generally cost you time in GT7 (ABS it the exception to this rule*). So again, if you're constantly activating these over a lap, try being smoother, easing the stick to steer rather than 0 - 100% steering instantly etc. *ABS is the exception to this rule - technically speaking ABS does also slow you down too BUT it's incredibly hard to threshold brake without locking up. Lock up - and you'll be slower. Don't brake quite as hard to avoid locking up - you'll be slower. There's a tiny tiny margin in the middle where braking without ABS is faster. So keeping it ABS at default will overall make you faster as you'll be far more consistent. Smoothness I've mentioned this a couple times and I want to explain some of the theory behind it - Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Often times you'll a lap where you're on the edge and you have to really work the car will be slow and the laps that feel slow will be your fastest. Keeping the car balanced, with little to no understeer or oversteer, will mostly feel slower but is considerably faster. Now the question is how to achieve this smooth is fast - this can be broken down in to the 3 areas of a corner; braking, turning and accelerating. In a perfect world, each should only be done once - brake before the corner and come off the brakes as you turn in, turning to the maximum lock required for the corner at the apex, then start opening the steering as you feed on to the throttle. If you needed to get back on the brakes then you braked too late, if you get on the throttle before the apex you braked too early, if you need to change steering input you turned in too early or too late, if you need to counter steer on corner exit you got on the throttle too early or too sharply. I'm not saying you should be thinking all this all the time but it's something to keep in your mind while practising or watching a replay of your laps. As you go round the lap, make a mental note of things such as braking too early for turn 3 and too late for turn 9. Then the next lap, make small steps to correct these on the next lap while making mental notes of thing for next lap. Basically small incremental changes each lap can equal a decent improvement on overall lap time.

    Robocop Rogue City

I tried the demo and the ADS shooting just feels weird to the point it is absolutely dissatisfying. Also had a bad crash and uninstalled. Looks amazing and they nailed so much but it's one of those games that just doesn't quite work unless they radically overhauled the source material.

    Robocop Rogue City

Ok, I tried it out. I'm sure there are some that will love it, as its quite immersive and ppl like the shit that glitters (glisters I should say). Shooting is terrible imo and very sluggish. Lame ADS. Very poorly optimised too. I've already uninstall the demo 🤗

  22. It's on game pass, so I downloaded it last night and gave it a whirl. It looks fucking amazing in 4K and runs so damn smooth. It's a racing sim and controls really tight, but I imagine it would be better with a wheel set-up. I'll keep at it for a bit longer, but I preferred the Horizon series. I personally like the arcade racing games, but I'm willing to give this a chance. So far, so good.

  25. I played and got myself to level 20. I am not sure to be honest The movement is too much like a jack rabbit that is high on crack. Running like crazy everywhere and just too quick The TTK was pretty bad for me. I would unload an entire clip into 2 opponent and then die reloading because I needed so much ammo to kill anything The kill streaks were rather Meh. I ended up playing with SAM, Counter, VTOL or whatever it was. The guns were nothing spectacular. The LMG was just garbage I did like the maps and if they were just to offer this as a map pack for MWII + Zombies I would be quite happy I didn't get a chance to use the sniper riffle much. With the super fast movement is rather difficult to get a good shot unless they are coming right at you The perk system was interesting. Not sure about it yet but I have not complaints. However I didn't get to play it much since one of the vest unlocks at level 19 I believe and the last one does not I did play on PSN and unlike other games the connection was pretty good. I will give the XBOX a chance this next Beta and see if it plays better, same or worse before choosing a platform Skidrow, Favela and rust were fun. Estate just seem to big for guns we had. I could hit the target just fine but I couldn't down anything. Won't be a problem once we have all the guns I assume

  26. So I just put some brief thoughts in the whatsapp but generally it is just amalgamation of just previous games, ui from the last game, perks from the one before and maps from 10 years ago (albeit snazzied up a bit). I think it sums up though the problem with these titles in that they have gotten comfortable with call of duty, it's a bit like fifa, no need to try something new or innovate really, people will continue to buy the game why create anything new. Let's just take things from previous games and release it as a full title, I find that really shitty to be honest. That aside, yeah it's fine and plays like a typical COD. I think the only reason I am contemplating picking it up is because I have a group of friends that play zombies and they are contemplating getting this one and I would quite like to play more games with them again (I used to play a lot of battlefield with them). If it was just for the multiplayer element I am not really sure I would bother with it and find it a little absurd that it will probably sell quite well for that alone.

  27. Who else thought that the Stryker SMG is soooo good? Also the MCW (ACR) is so good too. Anyone else like the certain guns from the beta?

  28. Had my first proper go, Hardpoint on Favela. And of course i was the only person in my team playing the objective lol Felt great to be quite honest, I love all the new places you can climb on that map and I'm now worried I might actually buy it. Also, I agree on friendlies and enemies, so I'll be steering clear of hardcore game modes just in case I team kill and get booted.

  29. One issue I have found is recognizing enemies and friendly. It's very faint to tell when you are in the heat of battle. I have found shooting friendly quite often. Hopefully that will be more recognizable later on.

  30. Weird matchmaking, joined a lobby where it put all rank 1 players in one team with the other team mostly rank 15+ Not actually played a full game yet as I just wanted to get a quick flavour of it while waiting for food to cook. No pun intended. Will give it a proper go later.

  31. I think they had to put that in to counter the covert sneakers, however with how the gear works people may not run that as much as something maybe more beneficial.

  32. I like a lot of what I see, but then I jump into MW2 and I’m reminded of the SBMM and how aggressive it is which will be exactly the same in MW3 so I’m torn in all honesty.

  33. There is the equipment that makes footsteps louder so I suspect that the quiet sneakers will end up being a crutch perk. Why they've put something in that makes footsteps louder is a mystery to me. They know that people hate the loud footsteps in MW2.

  34. I'm liking the movement. Like the handling. Just trying to figure out the attachments and "perks" based off of gloves, boots and other equipment. Only about four games in and still getting a feel for it.

  35. Sadly only managed about an hour on the beta so will have to give it a better go in the upcoming beta dates. Though I didn’t see anything to make me not want to get it. It’s certainly good to have the old maps back. A couple of things though, I can see the breacher drone getting nerfed as it’s quite OP at times. It also seems there’s some description missing on some things as it took a few minutes to figure out why I didn’t have a lethal grenade until I figure out the vest changes it. I assume one of the other vest gives overkill too but hard to know as they don’t say it.
